The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
I had to double/triple check the date. This has been a wonky week. Lots of twists and turns in my head. Some not so good ones either. This darn Tindmax again!
The really good news is that I only have 2 doses left to go, and it is not hitting me as hard as it usually does. I am def. tired and cranky but not as crazy as I have been. So there is that!!!

I still have no clue what to make of my BP and pulse rate. The new wrist monitor has my BP low and my pulse the high end of normal. (90's usually) But when I was at the store yesterday, I did my BP and it was High-- like 156/92 and 88 BPM. I don't understand any of this. I was shaking again yesterday afternoon, and ended up doing a hydration IV. Which made cooking dinner sort of interesting. I had prepped as much as I could beforehand, but when I was assembling the sandwiches and getting them into the oven, I had to roll around the kitchen with the IV line in my mouth so it wouldn't slip into the oven! hahahah!! (I was NOT about to ask Gary for help b/c he pissed me off earlier in the day.

On my way out of the supermarket,. I saw one of my clients. Big hugs, and then I told her "Yes, I do exist!" We chatted a bit, and I told her how this was a Big Date for Gary and I, leaving the house *not* for a dr's appt. When we get home, there is a message on my answering machine. Another client was at the store around the corner from my house, was thinking about me and was hoping to stop in to say hi.Then she said that since I wasn't home, I must be at a drs appt!
Is my life really that predictable and pathetic?????

It was actually pretty funny, in spite of its "pathetic-ness."

Again a boring day here for me-- my big trip out is for blood work. :cheer2:

I hope that you all have more exciting days than that:)

QOTD Let me live vicariously through you again-- what plans do you have today or have coming up?

Linda S- yes, one of these days I am going to have to scrap this. Did the weather hold out for you last night?

Astrid- This weather is insane! We are supposed to get near 60*F today, but yesterday, I didn't warm my car enough and had to scrape the snow and ice off.
Hope you had a nice time alone, watching Lost

Nancy- why is that men seem to think that we are home to care for them? So good to hear that you are enjoying the b-day challenges. I think I did 5 of them, 9 is a lot to do!

Trudy- really, you don't usually get thunderstorms? Here, summer wouldn't be summer without them. That is awesome that you and YMG are going to attend the fundraiser for your friend.
Did you see that Avril Lavigne also came out about having Lyme? Crazy, and sad, but good to get public faces out there.
That is a horrid joke to say that you would be converting to Fahrenheit. I hate that we don't use Metric system, and that joke is mean!LOL

Laurire- I could not remember her name, but that is so cool that you still work with her!

Sharon- oh the backlash I got was BAD!!! Really and truly. I still thank that some of my family hasn't forgiven me. :pound:

hugs and love from me and Catzilla!

Morning O fam- I am eating my breakfast in a hurry so I can go outside and remove the dead foliage so my daffodils can shine forth next week- kind of a metaphor for life!! I need to hurry because the weather page told me I have 87 minutes before the rain comes-and it plans on visiting all day!!

good morning - a late visit as I had my Thursday morning talk with my sister and then my yearly review from my financial advisor. Good news from both talks so that makes me so happy. I keep telling my kids save early play later. And I am enjoy this retirement. Got in a really good walk yesterday, it is still chilly but hopefully as Chris says it will get to 60F. Still a lot of wind.

Chris I still find it hard to believe it is April. That April Foot's joke is pretty funny! How nice to meet up with your clients. I am sure they miss you!

Laurie hope you beat the rain. I think your rain is coming my way for Friday.

Anika your weather sounds crazy. hope it improves soon!

Trudy enjoy your last day of swimming before the holiday. And I know for me that in retirement I know I have tomorrow so I don't strive so hard to get it all done like I did when I was working. I also know more now what is really important to get done and what can wait. And my priorities are not the same as when I was working.

Have a great day all!

Chris forgot your QOTD. My DIL laws parents invited us up for Easter so that will be fun! And then next week I am off to Florida with my DIL. It will be bird watching and hockey and whatever else we can squeeze in. I am in need of sun and heat. I will be leaving the boys to fend for themselves.

Morning O-zies... a bit cooler here this morning and snow on the mountains WTH?? We have hardly seen snow all winter and now it comes?? Off to swimming soon but will have a skype with DD and Mason first.

Chris - I bet your clients are missing you like crazy!! Too bad you did not get to see the one that was not in the grocery store! Are you hoping to return to work in the future? I have to share this story on the woman who has Lymes here, she is not doing well and our medical does not recognize Lymes as a disease so no coverage for them at all , they are in danger of losing their house over it. Anyway here is the story... hope it doesn't depress you !!
Megan’s Story
Matt’s wife, Megan, who is 28 years old and originally from Bella Coola, was recently diagnosed with Chronic Lyme disease (with co-infections of Bartonella and Babesia) after 8 years of suffering with undiagnosed crippling headaches, chronic pain and extreme fatigue. Lyme disease is an infection that is spread to humans through tick bites and can cause dozens of different symptoms. In prolonged cases like Megan’s where a diagnosis is not made immediately, Lyme disease leads to neurological illnesses, including paralysis, heart failure, and death. Further to that, Megan will likely pass on her infection to any children she and Matt may have.
Megan and Matt have spent the past 8 years and hundreds of thousands of dollars of their money to see every specialist recommended in Canada to diagnose Megan’s condition. Six months ago, Megan visited a doctor in the United States who specializes in chronic and complex illnesses. After Megan’s blood tested positive for Lyme, treatment was immediately initiated. Megan’s treatment will take 2 to 3 years and will be a very painful process. There is no treatment program in Canada as Chronic Lyme disease is not a recognized disease in the Canadian medical field. Canadian patients, who are able to get a positive diagnosis, are left to seek treatment on their own without any assistance from the Canadian medical system. As such, the extensive treatment costs are not covered through any health insurance plan.
Megan was set to graduate from University with a Teaching Degree in 2014 but in the summer of 2013, had to withdraw from her last year of school as her condition deteriorated so rapidly. For almost two years now, she has been confined to bed or a wheelchair. Megan’s pain is so severe that she routinely blacks out from the pain, losing all consciousness. Every day is torture for her. She is incapable of getting herself in and out of bed or her wheelchair, preparing her medication, or even getting herself a glass of water. Matt cares for Megan every day and is to the point of being constantly nauseated due to stress and exhaustion.
Matt and Megan have already incurred significant debt, are at risk of losing their home, and have exhausted their savings as they continue to go further into debt to pay for the medical and travel expenses they have incurred to date. Now that Megan’s illness has been diagnosed, the medical expenses for treatment and travel are expected to cost in excess of $100,000. Matt and Megan cannot continue without our help. They will certainly lose their home and any ability to seek treatment for Megan as the debt piles up. Let’s rally together and help them out.
Please donate today!

Laurie - Hope you get the dead leafs off your daffodils before the rain hits!!

Nancy - You were a wise woman, saving early and playing later!! Great advice!! My DH was always the big saver in our family and thank goodness, because when my DD got sick I had to quit to take care of her, so no extra income from me!!

Hi Sharon, Hi Phylis where ever you are!!

QOTD - Probably going to help the In-Laws clean their gutters and windows etc. Then DH wants to go on a long drive from Port Renfrew to Sooke and pack a lunch and just see the sites, hoping that the weather will be nice for both activities!!

Home from morning-into-afternoon with Clara AND Beckett...on my own. DH was playing golf today. This was actually babysitting, as I was asked to come fill in for the nanny who is out of state for a wedding. I'm exhausted. Another reminder of why YOUNG people have children. Beckett (age 5) beat me about 20 games of Candyland. I won a couple! LOL He pouted on one game when he got sent back to the beginning, so when he wanted to play another game, I told him only if he was a good sport and didn't fuss if he got a bad card. He rose to the occasion! WOOT.

I wonder where DH will take me for dinner tonight. ???

Very very sad story about Megan and Matt. Hmmmm...so addictions are diseases, but Lyme's isn't? How is THAT?

I need a couple Tylenol and a nap!

QOTD: No plans for any time soon...except a nap in about 3 minutes!
