We are getting closer to the weekend! wahooo!~

Is everyone enjoying their week so far? This one is waaaay better for me than the last few. Nothing different but maybe the few days away helped my head.

Good news for my kids' school district. Tuesday was School Bd and Budget elections and the budget passed! And we got the one nut-job off of the bd. (This guy wanted to save money in food service by having the kids bake their own bread but opened up ridiculous investigations costing the District thousands in lawyers fees. SMH!) And my town is now entering the 21st century with full day kdg! Finally, it seems like people are understanding that the schools are an important part of our town and our future. :clap2:

Today I have the same plans as yesterday- clean for work, clean here and I never paid my bills yesterday so I really need to do that today. Nothing like procrastination, eh?? ;)

Temptation on Thursday:
I would love to call my insurance co and tell them to F-Off........ :pound:

Linda S-- how did your mtg go?

Maureen- did you feet make it through the day ok? Hope so!

Phyllis- I have been so busy doing "stick patrol" as my kids call it that I haven't had a chance to get into the flower beds yet- but I have lily of the valleys popping out under and around the edging. They are going to need to be dug up and moved before they get much bigger and then are impossible to get out.

Kristy- I am so thrilled for you and proud of you!! That is an amazing weight loss and lifestyle change!! Good for you!!!!
What is wrong with DH's back? Hope that the shot helps it for a long long time.

Nana- if that 5 hour stuff could make the bags under my eyes go away, I'd take a bath in it LOL
Isn't part of T's legal arrangement that she needs to be around? or is it better to not have her in the kids' lives at this point (at least until she gets it together?) I hope that you got sleep last night and that you are feeling better today. sending tons of hugs!!!

Kristy- gary went through that with one of his meds too- made him really nasty. You could see the change in him so quickly. He has this issue of oh what is it called? He has the reverse side effect, so things that sguld calm him down, rev him up... so he was on klonopin when he was having Lyme Rages and it made him 100000000 times worse. I had to take them and hide them from him. It was ugly.

Hi Trudy! How was your strew. I am doing pulled pork today in my crock. This is how weird my DD is- she love BBQ ribs but won't eat any other pork. Pork roast was on sale this week cheaper than ribs, so I grabbed that but I know I can't roast it or she won't it it. So I have to cook it "ribs style." LOL

Linda- are you ready? I have a suitcase with wheels if you want to squeeze in, I am ready to go visit Trudy forever. I hope your Gary doesn't mind 2 new children, T. :D

Clara-- fingers and toes are all crossed for a good job!!! Miss you here, but I know how busy you must be. Have you thought about doing house cleaning like I do? Decent money, all cash, flexible schedule..... And I don't have to deal with the public either.

Gotta head out, love to you all!!

Chris, we're doing pork today, too. pork loin was buy one, get one free, so it's pork roast and mash for dinner tonight. my kids were weird about tomatoes. they'd eat spaghetti and pizza sauce, but never a tomato. i have an idea: call up your insurance company from a pay phone and yell at them, then run away. it might make you feel a bit better. yelling always makes me feel better, and it's nice if you can do it anonymously....

today's Nose Doctor Day. trying to figure out the nosebleeds (haven't had any in a few weeks,) and why my head and face feels like it's been hit with a rubber mallet for a month. this will probably involve things being stuck up my nose. can't wait. the older i get, the more i understand my grandfather who, when my mom would suggest that he go see a doctor for one thing or another, always said: "I NO GIVE NO DOCTOR $5.00!!" and refused to go.

have a great Thursday, everyone!

Good morning! Glad to hear that the school elections went well Chris.

Meeting was productive but I was exhausted at the end. That's ok, since Brian was working, I succumbed to the kids' pleas for Mickey D's. And then I spent time reading a new book.

Clara, I hope the job thing doesn't take long. I know how stressful that can be.

Kristy, amazing job on that weight loss! Congratulations! I just can't seem to get on track and stay on track. A few good days followed by an equal number of bad days. Ugh...

Nana Linda, I sure hope that you got some sleep last night. Sydney had sleep issues when she was little. Now both of mine are good sleepers and I'm so thankful. I am praying specifically for you that the sleep issues are controlled.

((hugs)) to all. I hope to have time to stop back tonight and play!

Oh Phylis, you and I were posting at the same time. I hope that the doctor can figure out the nose stuff... You are brave and wise...I would probably say, "Well it hasn't happened in a few weeks..." knowing full well that it would happen again!

MOrning all- Phylis it is my ladies dr day- gynecologist and mammo all in one- I am calling it one and done! The worst part my guy has so many pt's that you spend 2 hr+ undressed huddled under the sheet and 15 min total with him- so I am grabbing my work computer and doing paperwork cause he is on the network- suppose anyone will know their information was typed by a naked woman?? Have to find some way to chuckle about my days plans!! It will be gorgeous out and I would rather be working on my tan- by the time I get done, the sun will be setting.

thanks! still not satisfied though LOL

as for dh's back he injured it in the military and hes been on so many drugs for it none really helping and if they did help horrible side effects....so he is trying this shot....they said it could take 3-10 days for him to feel any relief...3-10 days!!! ugh....anyways he has to go back on May 3rd I am not sure if its for another shot or what...guess we'll see....

Morning ladies... I had a terrible sleep last night, not sure why?? No hot flashes, no stressing over anything just kept waking up all night long?? Hmmmm. Oh well hopefully tonight will be better and I can sleep in tomorrow as they have cut everyone's hrs at work and I now have Friday off. So a nice long weekend for me :becky:

Chris - My Stew turned out great! Pulled pork, sounds mmmmmarvelous!! So funny that your DD won't eat it any other way. My DD won't eat pork either unless its ribs, she says she doesn't like the smell of it when its roasting. Funny because when I was pregnant with her, pork was the only thing that made me nauseous??? Weird!!
Pack your suitcase and move on in, too bad if my hubby doesn't want anymore kids, he has no say!! LOL although I'm not too sure your hubby would like that too much. If you come right now we could get all the weeding done :becky:

Phylis - good luck at the Doctor! Hope they get to the bottom of things! Your grandfather sounds like my FIL, he refuses to see the doctor, he had a hernia for almost a yr before he could not stand the pain anymore and finally broke down and saw him. Boy did he get an earful!! Hope you have some sun in your day today!

LindaS - hope you get to join us here again later today! Have a good one!

Laurie - Not a great way to spend your day today, but I guess its gotta be done! Have fun typing naked LOL. Hopefully you can work on your tan this weekend!

Kristy - sorry to hear that DH is in so much pain!! But oh so proud of you for your great weight loss and lifestyle change! Keep up the great work!!

Well gotta :bolt: last day of work this week hooray!! Better get breakfast and get going! Hope you all have a fabulous day today

Well.....I finally just gave out last night....I was aching, tired and just worn out!!! I took two tylenol before I went to bed and I slept like a rock...Jaiden didn't get up last night...Mike said Jesse did, so he got with him and put him back to bed....I never heard a thing....I slept so hard I don't think I moved...not good for the arthritis, I was so stiff this morning and aching....I still am...and usually by now any stiffness and aches have worked themselves out. Price I pay for just wanting to sleep. DAMN it's hell to get old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you can get an overhaul on your car and having it working "good as new" why can't we do this with our bodies????

Anyway....still very damp, misty rain and cold here....that plays a part in the arthritis too.......

Another Funny for you girls......my kiddos can be rather amusing..especially Savannah and Jaiden with their "ideas" and "language".....
Sharon told me that Savannah got sick in the middle of the night last night, and she threw up....so I asked Savannah
"WHAT HAPPENED LAST NIGHT SWEETIE?" she replies back to me "I SMOKED IN MY BED LAST NIGHT" :pound::pound::pound::pound::pound:

If that doesn't make you giggle nothing will!!!:love:

suppose anyone will know their information was typed by a naked woman??

Laurie, honestly. you win my "laugh of the week" contest. just reading that totally had me on the floor....

Hello all...

Not sure where yesterday went but my library time was good. Not too much standing at the computer as before and a few internal giggles when the flock of female inmates came in for their 'legal library' time. A couple of the women needed my help in trying to write a letter on the computer. It's hard to imagine women under 40 with no computer skills to speak of. But it does speak to the life they lead that got them into jail. One asked me to write the word library on a paper for her...She started l-a-....Uh, no... l-I-b-r-a-r-y. She looked at me as if I was trying to get one over on her. Her letter was just 3 or 4 sentences, and she signed it Chocolate. I wondered if that was a nickname or her real name.

Today I got some more pages scrapped and also got more windows washed. The new cleaner DOES windows on the inside, so now I have no excuse to leave the outside ones. I saw a formula on Pinterest that adds some cornstarch to the vinegar and water and it does work really well. That cornstarch does seem to add a polish.

Well, back outside to the windows...fortunately dinner tonight is a Costco chicken from my little bit of shopping yesterday. cya'll!
