HelloooO and good morning to all O-zies!

It is going to be one heck of a crazy day in the news and I don't think that there is enough wine in the world to counteract it. I am going to do my best to stay offline. Or at least off of social media. (I say as I refresh Twitter! :gaah: )
At any rate, I am going to work on another puzzle today. We finished the one that we started last week and opened up one that Gary grabbed from his uncle's house. We went from flowers/birds/butterflies to a Harley Davidson. LOL
I am sort of bummed ATM. I have a hard time with math and numbers and thought that today was the last day in the shoe. Thank goodness that Gary can count better than me which makes tomorrow the last day. I cooked dinner last night. I made sure that I split the time I spent standing up with sitting down. It took me all afternoon to make a very simple pasta and broccoli rabe dish but I did it. See, I am taking it slow.

No plans for me today. I might try to dust the LR/DR areas. That is pretty small/light. Pet the puppies. Play with the rats. Those are all really good ways to spend my day.

How about you? Anything fun planned?

Kay- your house is adorable! I love the rocks. Generally speaking, so much effort and water go into forcing yards to look like well-manicured lawns instead of what is natural and native to the areas. Scott has been telling me about how so many non-native plants have been brought in and become invasive over the year and decades as well, which destroys ecosystems. It is always nice for me to see how people can work within the ecosystems rather than fight against them.
I hope that you aren't getting sick again. Feel better!

Trudy- It looked like it was going to be nice here yesterday, then it clouded over, only for the sun to come out later- I hope that your weather stayed nice for your afternoon out. What color are your toes? My azaleas won't bloom until Mid-May, usually around our Mother's Day so I will be happy to see photos of your now.
Hope that the Nexium isn't hurting your Gary's stomach. My Gary was on that for a while but he ended up switching to Tums and actually feels better with that.

Nancy- congrats on having an end date for PT!! WTG! How fun to have hockey and baseball on at the same time. Caitlyn said that her data ended up showing a different result than what she expected. She was going to run the analysis again to make sure all of her work was correct but I bet it is. I can't wait to read her report when it is all done.
I am glad that I called the Dr re: the stitches too, I thought the same thing about them being in for 6 weeks- that would have been crazy long, right?
I would love to ride a dragon- but maybe just a little one- like Mu Shu. from Mulan. hehe!!!

Felis- I wish the weather was warmer and sunnier for you so you could sit outside and see the flowers bloom.
I don't think I will wear socks with flats since I only have either sneaker, flip flops or boots. but with my sneakers-- do I wear one regular ankle sock and one compression knee sock? Hmmm....;)
Your yard is perfect! I like a bit more "wild" too- but that could possibly because we can't really grow grass.

Jean- I am sorry that your Surface is on its way out since it seems like a BFF to you. However, I am happy that is has been giving you the time you need to back up everything that needs to be saved.
Have a great time with the paint crystals at class today-- tell us how that goes!

xoxo!!!

Art class this afternoon and in addition to the now finished drawings I think the piece from class is looking good too. We were (at least some of us) drawing from plants in the classroom. I did a not too literal rendition of a leafy one and then took it in my usual direction. The teacher tried to encourage others to take a looser approach like that but don't think it went over too well. Anyway it'll be fun today. Loving the blooming of spring but we're going to have rain and wind for a few days it seems.

Chris, you sure got that puzzle done quickly. Now a Harley? That'll be different! Amazingly you really do seem to be working slowly up on the ankle. Wearing only on cute sock may be the new look? Still looking forward to hearing about Cait's survey.

Felis, the finished drawings are just my usual style, but the class allows us to keep with our preferred methods and to try new things.

Happy Thursday, everyone!

Morning, gals. Wow.. what a day we had yesterday. Woke up to rain which turned into drizzle. DD#1 came over for coffee in the morning. Had a nice long visit with her. She left at noon just as a light rain started up again. Then came the thunder/lightening and heavy rain. The power kept flickering on/off so had to stay off the computer. Woke up this morning to wet patio/streets but looks like the rain has moved on. Still on the cool side - 43 - but suppose to get up to 80 by Sunday!! Then back down to 60 and rain again by Tuesday! Quite a roller-coaster ride but that is spring for you.

I missed a call from Son#2 as it came during the thunder storm with power going on/off. He usually calls me Wed afternoon on his way home from work. That is okay as I can catch up with him this weekend.

Chris, I was wondering about your stitches. Glad to know that they will dissolve and fall out. LOL over you wearing one compression sock and one regular one!! Quite a fashion statement!! As for news and causing stress... I try to stay away from much news now. DH used to have the news on most of the day but now I only have it on to catch weather and local news once a day. Don't do twitter/Instagram either.

Nancy, so glad you are getting to the end of PT visits. I am sure you will keep up with the exercises on your own now.

Felis, although I was born in New Mexico, we have lived all over the US and had grass lawns in many places. Just glad I don't have to maintain a grass lawn any more with all the mowing, edging, etc. Xeriscaping has come a long way from just gray rocks that it used to be. Thanks for sharing photos of your yard.

The throat is not as scratchy today so going to run a couple of errands. Hope to make it over to the produce market and stop by Lowe's/Home Depot. I want to get new numbers for the house. I saw a frame with numbers on white tiles that make them easy to read. Right now mine are plain metal numbers that hard to read especially at night.

Hello girls,
Loving the blooming of spring but we're going to have rain and wind for a few days it seems. ;) Orthodox Easter is next week, but I hope these of you who celebrate it now are in festive mood! I made a page and upload it before to realize that this kit is been retired. Silly me! I let it, anyway, because love this kit and wait to use it from a while, far too long I guess. Nothing new here.

Chris, watering of grass is no sense for me too. It's just a grass, it doesn't matter do it is green or yellow, you will not eat it, after all. What you mean you don't have flats?! They are so feminine and comfortable. I could wear boots forever too, but it's not practical for summer  . L O L after disturbed DMs on Instagram bring me to depression at weekend, I'm not surprised from your reaction to Twitter! Harley Davidson puzzle actually sounds cool.

Jean, show us something you are did at the class, please!

Kay, Xeriscaping looks so pretty, as for magazine! It's just my prejudice, because I can't explain myself how you use it functional. I know what you mean about the mowing, I love to complain about that. Hope you don't have damages from this power on/off, how is your refrigerator after all this?

Good Morning ladies... It is very :rain: here today, but the only thing I really have to do today is go to the pool and get my laps in. Other than that I will catch up on some gallery loving and perhaps start a page. I bet that something happens that will mess with my day though LOL. Yesterday was very nice as the weather behaved and we even had some sunshine. Sisters and I went to the Tin Cup coffee shop and I enjoyed a nice cappuccino and a slice of gluten free carrot cake, it was really good!! Not great for my Keto diet as I know that there was probably way too much sugar, but what the heck it was a birthday treat! :hungry: We wandered around downtown and popped into a few of the unique stores and ooh'd and aww'd at all the goodies!! Then off to have our pedicure, so nice and relaxing with lots of chatter between us and the girls doing our peddies! I chose a lovely sort of burgundy colour for my toes with just a bit of sparkle in it. Now I have pretty feet. They of course gave me heck for keeping my toenails so short :mmph: I just can't have them longer as they give me grief in my hiking boots! So there LOL.

Chris - I haven't listened to any news this morning, so not sure what is happening out in the world today! Hope you don't get too stressed out by all the news! I am happy that you will finally be able to get rid of the shoe!! My Gary has to continue with the Nexium as he has a herniated esophagus and the only other option to keep the stomach acids down is to have a very painful operation. He would never do that LOL. But the Dr. says everything looks fine! Yay!! Have fun with your new puzzle today!

Jean - Have fun with your art class today! I will have to find your drawings. I am so far behind on happenings here at the O! But maybe that is a good thing, it means I am busy and staying out of trouble LOL.

Nancy - Bruins played a bit better last night and we are happy for the win!! Now back to Boston and hopefully another great game despite the whining and crying from the Leafs everytime they take a hit LOL and despite the one sided officiating :mmph: Hope that you are having a great day!

:hello: Kay and Felis, Heather is calling so gotta go and then off to the pool so I will catch up with you later!

yep it is raining steadily here. Not much fun walking the dog in it as he hates to get wet and hates the little jacket he has even more. Poor guy is so close to the ground the grass is up to his belly. lol

Saturday my friend and I are going shopping for holiday clothes. She is spending the whole summer in France on her own and I will be cruising on the Rhine with my daughter. The hardest part will be finding the right shoes. I don't ant to take more than 2 pair, one for walking and one pair of flip flops. It is the walking pair that will cause the trouble. I don't do well without socks as I get blisters and I need supports inserted which deletes so many types of shoes as they don't have sturdy enough sides. Vanity! vanity! I did find a great pair of loose pants for the flight that don't look like sweats or pajamas and are wrinkle free. Score!

I currently have my nose in a book which stops me from doing much of anything worthwhile. I have completed all but one challenge here this month and posted double the amount of comments needed so I don't feel guilty reading. lol

Laundry is calling... oh joy.
