Why the heck does it feel like it should be Friday????? But no- it is Thursday, and i guess we are close to Friday?

It was a pretty nice day yesterday and I got my patio (teeny little thing) all cleaned up and the leaves all brushed out. I'll borrow my dad's power washer to get the rest of it done.

Today I am steam cleaning the rug in my bedroom and then cleaning for a client. Yay me.
Still working on getting into a good mood, but it would be better if my family wouldn't keep wrecking it. Grrrrrr!!!

Not much else to say here, but my Temptation on Thursday:
Run away to somewhere sunny and lay by the ocean with some drinks and a good book.
(I know I say that*every week!!!* :pound:)

Hugs!!!

Yesterday:
Up from the bottom.....

Kristi- that week with your mom went fast :( So good to hear that you had a good time and got lots of stuff done. hugs!

Phyllis- oh the sun was out here yesterday tooooo!!! Yay!!!!! (its about darn time!)

Angela- fingers crossed that you get good tests results. Asthma is better than COPD, right?

Nancy- *happy dancing about the sun in nj* :) Awesome work on getting your p365 book up to date. All of you who do that-- just amazing job and dedication!

Trudy- isn't that a great feeling when you have doubts but then they are blown away? Really glad that you can see all of the positive out of quitting your job. Who needs that kind of stress? Good thoughts to your friends who are still there.

Phyllis- how was your vodka run? I stopped by one of the many liquor stores in my town on my way home from food shopping (open at 9:30 am, what a town i live in-- a bunch of alcoholics!! LOL)and got my box 'o wine. I am a classy girl :D
Thank you and everyone who said I am a good mom and have a right to be proud. I got an amazing message from the woman who we are going with about how she loves Scott and is proud of him too. We have known her from the earliest of our Lyme days and she has been great. Anyway- her message made me really choke up. I know I am going to need to bring tissues with me for the protest.

It is time for me to head out. Faking it til I make it still. :):):)
Hugs and love!!!

Chris, i DID find the Vodka. $30 a bottle. eeek! DS better appreciate it! though he probably won't, since he's become used to The Best of Everything. stuff that seems quite luxury to me is just The Norm for him. well, i always wanted my kids to be better off than Hubby and i are. i just hope he doesn't lose the Attitude of Gratitude. important to have that to get through life.

it's going to be 83 degrees here today. i can't get my brain around that!! dunno what i'm doing today. probably justt this-and-that-stuff in and outside the house.

have a beautiful Thursday! :becky:

Good morning had a really nice day yesterday until my son came home from work. He is talking on the phone using his earphones and walks right by me as I am cooking dinner. He continues talking and getting ready to go out. He comes in to kitchen, eats some of the frattata I made and says buy. Well that did it. I really yelled at him for being extremely rude and inconsiderate. At first he did not understand saying he was on the phone. I explained common courtesy. I guess even at 26 they still need to be reminded. Then had a nice conversation with my oldest when I told him that the NJ Devils will play the NY Rangers in an outdoor game next January. Should be fun. Cold but fun. I hope I can get tickets. Had a good walk. And made a great Rachael Ray Frito Frattata 30 min recipe.

Chris have a good day and hope you mood is improving!

Phylis enjoy the 80degree day

Kristy glad you enjoyed the visit and wow you are still having snow. Hope it melts fast!

Have a great day!

Morning sweet O ladies!! :rain: here today and tomorrow, but I think I will just put on my rain coat and go for a walk anyway. Its really quite mild here, so I don't mind walking in the rain. Took my sister to the nursery, but oh my gosh the prices are outrageous for what she wanted. We left the place without buying anything. Picked up the poster that I had made for DH. Nancy it turned out fabulous, thank you again for making that Bruins poster for me!! MG loves it!! I think I might have a hard time finding a frame to fit it though :mmph:

Chris - Don't envy you steam cleaning your rugs!! I only have carpet in the den downstairs and on the staircase I really hate having carpet on stairs and I hope one day to just get it taken off and put down nice wood! Are you sore from your situps ?? Hopefully you will start to see results soon!

Phylis - Yikes $30 for the vodka, it must be really great stuff!! Sometimes I wonder if my kids ever appreciate all that I do for them too. I am sure that they do, especially my daughter, because she has so little. My son on the other hand has everything and is now thinking of buying himself a sailboat??? Really? Like he has time to sail!! Not many places to sail in Cold Lake Alberta , honestly I don't know what he thinks about sometimes :noidea:

Kristy - too bad your Mom had to leave! I would do anything to spend one more day with my Mother!! Hope that you don't get the snow that they are calling for, my gosh its supposed to be spring isn't it??

Nancy - Good on you for keeping your son in line! Like Phylis says we can't be taken for granted and simply ignored by our children or anyone for that matter! Hope you get to see the outdoor hockey game in January!! I used to have to take my son to natural ice rinks to play hockey in Saskatchewan, let me tell you that at 6am its one darn cold place to be!! Heck it was darn cold at any time of day!! Don't miss that one bit!!

Not much on my plate today, wish I could have a cup of coffee with all of you today! Perhaps I will tackle some of the painting jobs I have neglected to finish. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

OH Trudy I am so glad that the poster turned out well. On my laptop it is hard to tell if I got all the blending correct. I would try Amazon for frames assuming you have Amazon dot com in Canada. Oh my I could not imagine how cold it must have been outdoors at 6am on those outdoor rinks. What a good mom!

Phylis - Don't worry, not painting the walls type of painting, just some Folk Art type of painting, so its much more enjoyable!!

Nancy - Thanks I will try Amazon!

So I'm sitting in the doctors office. Had a 9:40 appt and it is 10:10. I hat it when they run late. Hopefully the test comes out ok. If not, I'm going to have one of my doctors write an order for an ultrasound and have a real radiologist read it. Why did I agree to an ultrasound in the GYN's office? I should know better! I work for radiologists!

Hubby and I went to one of those swanky fund raising dinners for cancer research. The kind of event that is outrageously expensive. We heard Condoleezza Rice speak. She was awesome. The food ok--- this little dinky quail on a plate. I mean what kind of thing to serve--- all dressed up, super nice linens, chair covers and you have to pick that sucker up and eat it. What was that chef thinking?

Mom's doctor came by yesterday--her kidney function is low. No bladder infection. Anemic and might need blood in a week. Still waiting for the oncology consult. No issues with the sister-thank God. Maybe she left town.

Stopping by to check on mom when I get back to town. I bought her Condoleezza Rice's book last night and got it autographed. Oh--hubby and I also had our photograph taken with her.

Nancy-grown kids need straightening out every now and then. Kids!

Phyllis- that is some expensive Vodka. Hope he appreciates it. Have a good day doing this and that.

Chris- don't envy you cleaning carpet. I removed all the carpet in my house about 6 years ago. Haven't missed it yet.

Everyone have a great Thursday. Tomorrow is Friday! Can't wait for the weekend.

Fantastic Chris you did another day sit-ups!

Great you found the vodka Phylis and you're right gratitude is very important. I hope he appreciates the present!

Awww to bad your mom is gone home already Krysti

Rain Trudy and still going for a walk? I hope the rain will stop soon! We're lucky to have sun again which is improving my mood :)

That's no way to treat your mom like your son did Nancy, good for you you told him that!

Busy days Terry, good luck with it all and I hope everything will continue to be calm on the sister side!

Today I took Ben to the psychologist again for his therapy and it's going better everytime. She thought at first, based on all the forms we filled in and school and talks with us and his teacher, that he might had Aspeger, but now she gets to know him better and she doesn't think that anymore and I'm really glad. I couldn't fit Ben completly into the describtion of Asperger, but there were things that did match. So good news on that level too. Ofcourse there are still problems to be solved, but at least it's more possitive now. Besides this news we had a calm day, I did some housework again and the kids played outside in the sun :). Now they're in bed and I can sit down and maybe scrap a bit.

Have a nice day everyone!
