Today's mental goodness is this bit of advice from Inspirivity/Jennifer Wagner
My MIL posted this and it really resonated with me. I was given this advice years ago by a therapist after Gary got sick and then the rest of us. Our lives were no longer what we thought they would be. It is a great reminder that we truly only have the present and that we are capable and creative enough to thrive!
I hope that all of you are able to take that message with you as you go through the day today and in the future.
I am in a MUCH better frame of mind than I was yesterday. I slept until 5 which is pretty amazing. Gary also got us a huge score. He somehow lucked into finding a Shop from Home spot for tomorrow. I placed a full order for tomorrow and I am also keeping the Walmart spot for Monday. Whatever I can't get from ShopRite I will keep on that list. I am also trying to get my @#@$@#% dad to tell me what he wants and I can meet him in the parking lot with the bags of food so he doesn't have to go into the store. But nope, darn, stubborn man need to get out.
I was able to spend about an hour outside. It was really cold and windy but I picked up a lot of the branches that had fallen. That was helpful after I couldn't get any of our information into the IRS website. It kept crashing or wouldn't accept the info as "correct" even though I had my 1040 right in front of me. Now I am locked out for 24 hours. The IRS has my correct banking info so I am not sure what is screwed up. At least I am blessed to have my mortgage and utilities paid this month and my parents and ILs would help us in a heartbeat if we needed it.
It is still really cold today so I think I am going to try to spend some time scrapping. I started a page a couple of days ago but got all stuck and uninspired again. I only have to edit the shopping list maybe one more time to add a few things that I forgot- like cheese for pizzas, oh and maybe some Vidalia onions for pasta. I am going to make Gary do lots of cooking LOL
I am also locked out of the IRS so I can't do a darn thing about that! heh.
Scrapping it shall be. Wish me luck!
Gratitudes:
-I spoke to my mom 7 different times yesterday and I only lost my patience a few times
-my friend across the street gave us a photo printer of her DH's grandfather who passed away last week (he was 106!)- and it does 12x12!!!
-how much I lovely family, friends, extended family, and my O-Family
-dogs
