The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Well, so much for sleeping in this morning LOL This week so far had been so busy, today was the first day I felt I could just lay low. My dogs had other plans. Harley has had me up since 5:30. I slept horribly- I had this fitful sleep/dream all night where Gary was going away for a weekend of partying, and he wouldn't promise me he wouldn't cheat on me. It was so upsetting!
We might have a boatload of crap in our lives, but the one thing that *is good* is that we are super-tight. Lots of trust and love. No dang dream is going to ruin that hahahaha!

yesterday was...ummmmm...... interesting. Did y'all hear me scream at 10 am? I dropped off six Rx's-- three went through, three got kicked back. I had to call three different drs to get them to call my ins. co to get prior authorization, before we can get them filled.

Then we started calling around to see what we could do for Gary's diabetes supplies. Medicaid couldn't help us. The co. that he has the pump from told him that we didn't qualify for assistance because he has been out of work for over 12 months. His test strip co. said they could send him one free bottle. WTF???

Finally the really really great news (and I really do mean GREAT!!) was that the woman I spoke to on Monday at our County Social Services got my letter with my new financials. We had called her early inthe morning, and she said it could take 30-60 days to get reviewed. Then she got our letter, called us back in the afternoon, saying that as of May 1, we are approved for Medicaid Plan A. This is for the lowest income people but it includes diabetic supplies. She felt bad for us, and put a real rush on it. I said a prayer for her last night like you wouldn't believe! Thank you Janice J!!!!!!

But (there is always a but LOL) here is the irony of it all. When I was talking to the pharmacy tech, I mentioned that I was looking for a job. She said that she would pass it on to the Pharm. Mgr. I am pretty sure, if there is an opening soon, I could get the job. But get this-- now at my lower income, we qualify for the plan we need. If I took the job, then I would make "too much" and he wouldn't get coverage.
How f-ed up is that???

Then coincidentally, I got an email asking to write to Congress about your healthcare story. Oh boy! I spent an hour writing up a "stripped down" version of my life over the last few years.
I sent it along to the group that was compiling them, but I am also going to be sending it out anywhere and everywhere I can think of.
If you want to read it: Lyme Story

Can you imagine how fried this makes me????

I did scrap a page for Jodie's DSL-- that was fun. :)
I have a bunch of work to catch up on for ACDSee but then I want to scrap some more.

So, now that I have totally rambled on and on (as always.....)
Let me check in with all of you!

BTW- did I ever tell you how much I love you guys for listening to me ramble? Cuz I really do. :) Besides, I can't afford therapy, so guess what? You're it!

Dawn, see- I did get good news!!!!
And wow! Nice meeting, maybe people are finally getting a clue. Did you feel like you were back in KDG getting stickers? :D

Alicia- good to see you again! Hope you and the kids didn't get too much of a sugar rush :D
BTW- how is Canada's healthcare? At one point dh was saying we'd have to move to Ca. just to get healthcare LOL I don't think I'd do to well in Ca. I am a summer/hot/sunny girl. I think I'd prefer Cuba. Or France. I'll live with Dumpty!

Whew- good to hear Matthew is feeling better. Did you survive that crazy day? Made me tired just reading it. I am so sad for you that you are still having such a hard time- wish I could help.....Love you!

Tali- you too- good to hear the twinks are better. All of this change in weather does the poor kids in! I am so proud of you doing SUTUCS-- I wanted to, just like I wanted to ADSR... but I can barely keep up with my Cheery O stuff.
*eye roll at your ins story* WTH do these people think? You have nothing better to do than fly sick and pg?? Just to get $$ from them? Insane.....

Sally- FWIW I think your Los and gallery totally rock- I looove your style. Since meeting you, YMG and Cora- it fits you perfectly. I wish I could scrap half as good as you do.

Clara- sorry, I misunderstood on the test results- sooooo glad you didn't have Lyme!!! Lyme and EBV have a lot of similar symptoms and can be misdiagnosed as each other. I am so glad that you were able to beat it. I had mono in my first year of college and I can totally relate to what you wrote. HS must have been harder b/c you have no choice but to go to classes. In college I dropped my course load to 11 credits just so I could get back on my feet.

Merkee- can totally understand about being gunshy w/ your back. You are doing some strengthening exercises for it? Hope so. LOL at Sally and SUTUCS-- Sally does make it sound like exercise LOL

CLARA!!!! Skydiving! GAH!!!!! Like I said- that is on Gary's Bucket list- I tild him he'd better not let me know cuz I would be freaking! You are one good wife! I could never do that for MMG.
I love sleep too- too bad it is so elusive!
And what a sweetheart Ethan is! You must have missed each other lots.
Got your note on FB- soooo so soooo happy that Selita liked everything!:)

Linda P- LOLOL!! When you wrote that you wanted to get a good seat, I assumed you meant up front LOL!!!

Kayleigh....... OMG I am so sorry! You are really going through a rough spot. I wish I could help in some way..... I am sending you huge hugs.
Not that it helps me all that much, but I do keep telling myself "This too shall pass." Sometimes if you say it enough you do end up believing it.

Kelly- would you believe that even gettign there early the aisles were a mess? My Shop Rite is redoing the aisles again. And the people that do it have no clue that people pushing carts are trying to get through LOL And i am one of those polite ones who waits for them to finish..
Woot for good weather- that Nico must love being out and about!

Sara-- thanks for the laughs and ice cream- can't ask for more than that!

To the rest of my O-fam- Love ya!

quick hello from me... I want to catch up on my soap this morning LOL... and I'm going to do that with a big cup of coffee in my hand :)

Chris (((hugs))) good news about the insurance... love you :)

have a great day everyone!

Good morning O's :)! I am still here and still huge, I think I was hit by a bus on Sunday night though. I've been so wiped out durning the day and not sleeping well at night. Gunar went to the gym this morning at 5am and I slept so hard from 5-7 that I didn't even hear him come home and I actaully feel good this morning :). We are on track for a beautiful day today and tomorrow. I am going to take it really easy today because we want to go to the zoo tomorrow.

Hugs O's, have a great day!

Morning my lovelies :). It's a stay at home day for me. Ughy migraine still hangin' round. I am going to go in to work and see the doctor and maybe get a shot which I hate to do but I'm a bit desperate at this point. hopefully later on it will begin to ease up and i might actually do some scrapping instead of sleeping :).

I'll catch up better, xoxoxoxo, and have a wonderful Thurs!

Good morning ladies. I don't really have time to write so I'll try and keep it a bit short. Yesterday was a good day. I really needed to extra sleep and lounging around. I went out for lunch and got a sandwich with some friends then came back home and chilled. I had to skip my small group because of this cold. A cold normally wouldn't be such a big deal but the girl who hosts it at her house has a sister who is fighting for her life at the moment from brain cancer and has zero immune system and currently has 1, yes that is right 1, plately not to mention her scarily low WBCs and everything. So no sickness is allowed at my friend's house because then she couldn't visit her sister and I would feel horrible about that.

So, I took Ethan to his piano lesson and on the way back was invited to dinner at a friend's house so we went over there and hung out. Derek enjoyed too many beers and didn't take me seriously when I said it was time to go so the kids got to bed way later than they should have. That's what he gets for not listening to me.

So, I am about to go and wake Ethan up for school and get myself ready for work but I can throw in a few personals.

Chris - All I can say about your story is Wow!! I can't imagine having to go through that. HS was hard for me with EBV but I had my mom as an advocate. I really think you should send your story to the media and embellish on your symptoms quite a bit. Maybe you can get this horrible disease put in the spotlight.

Sandra - enjoy your coffee.

Joslyn - maybe the trip to the zoo will help wiggle that little guy out. I attempted that with Addie at the Science center. It didn't work. She came when she wanted to. I hope you have beeter luck with the walking around.

Dawn - your poor head. I hope it feels better soon.

Love you guys and I will chat with you all later. The alarm is going off saying "get off get off get off" so time to go.

Hey girls!

Today the weather is absolutely gorgeous!! We were outside all morning . (except for the little while we ran down to Rite-Aid since "someone" decided to throw my toothbrush in the toilet and it needed to replaced ASAP........;) )

This coming Sunday is one of my best friend's baby showers (its her 2nd, but all of us girls decided to throw her one anyway!) So Ive got cookies to make (Pampered chef spritz cookies...lots of butter, but...sooooo yummmmyyyyyy) and I made favors, caramel chocolate covered mini dipping pretzels...so yummy! Ill post a pic of them in a bit....everyone loves em, I make em at Christmas and they are such a hit all decorated red & green! But, I just found out my husband has mandatory taser training on Sunday so now im a little screwy about Nico and im asking my sister inlaw to watch him...so we'll see. I told my husband Im going to "tase" him for screwing up my plans! LOL

So....Nico is napping and I should be cleaning and stuff but here I sit...Butt stuck - again.....oh well.......tomorrow is another day......

Chris Read the story - I have no words. how Awful. I wish to gosh I could do something, anything for you. Hang in there hun!! LOve ya!!!!!!!!!!!

Jos - Hope the walking around does you some good! Its time for that little guy to come on out!!!

Dawn - Hope your headache goes away asap!!!!

Clara - Hope you enjoyed your lounging yesterday...sounds perfect to me!! Hope youre having a good day and feeling well!!!

Evening all :).

Clara-oh my just read about the girl with brain ca, did I read that right? "1" platelet?! Oh my goodness!!! Sounds like she should be in a bubble!!! Seriously :( sending out prayers and get well thoughts her way!
Hope you are feeling better!

Chris-I agree with Clara, it sure wouldn't hurt to take it to the media. I wonder if you could find a 'pro bono' (?sp) attorney or someone who might help campaign on your behalf, on behalf of all Lyme and diabetics affected by these horrendous rules. Who knows, perhaps your story could become a Lifetime movie one day...hmm. Seriously, though, I pray for you and your fam daily, love you :).

Kelly-those treats look scrumptious!! And I am ROFL at the emergency toothbrush run!!

Jos-good to see you girl!! Glad you are feeling good. Take it easy and enjoy the zoo.

I did have my DD run me to work this morning and got a lovely injection for my ugly migraine, only the second time I've ever had a shot for one. It did help, knocked me out from about 10-4 today, ugh. I still feel dopey from it, I hate that feeling, but at least my head is better for now.
Hugs to everyone hope you all have a great evening!!!
