Sings more than slightly off-key "Oh what a beautiful mooooor-ning, oh what a beautiful day"

Apologies if that is stuck in your head now. I can sing the Safety Dance a bit if you like?

It truly is a fantastic morning even if I feel dead on my feet. 62* and sunny and it is only 7.22 am. Looks to hit almost 80 in some places. Of course, I am cleaning all morning which means I will be too pooped out to garden this afternoon. Especially since I slept like crap. I had been prescribed sleeping meds years ago and now that I don't see the Lyme Dr, my GP won't refill them. I have been weaning off them for a few months and last night was the first night without one of the two. Didn't go so well. It didn't help that Gary's restless legs were full blast and I called him Snap, Crackle, Pop at one point. I am funny in the middle of the night. ;)

I was sooooo happy to be outside yesterday. All I did was clear leaves and probably get poison ivy. I got to see a ring-neck snake too. He was cute! I wanted to get a picture of him but I had left my cell phone inside. It's too bad cuz Scott showed me a bunch of cool pictures he took when he was at work and it would have been fun to share. Scott showed me a bunch of spotted salamander eggs. They look like manatees. I thought I was being clever when I said that but he pulled up a text thread he had with Caitlyn and they both said the same thing. LOL His cousin's best friends were doing a wildlife show at one of "his" parks so he stuck around for that too and showed me a few of the snakes and spiders they were discussing.

As I said, I am cleaning this morning but if I have the energy to do some more yard work, there is always plenty of that to be done. If not, I should probably keep looking at cell phones before I drop this one again and lose the entire screen.

HAGD!!!

I have to be more careful with the time this morning. I have no idea how I ran so late yesterday. It's not like I spent a ton of time proofreading what I wrote LOL!!!

@BrightEyes Whatever it takes to get the coffee brewed. That is one of my mottos. I hope that you were able to get the coffee pot and filters and everything else you needed this morning.
How is the weather today, hope it is warmer. It's crazy that it was snowing the other day here and now -- almost 80. Meanwhile, you were 80 last week and now it's freezing.
It will be quiet without Chari if the dry run is successful but I hope that it goes well.
I think my lavender didn't make it either. T guess the colder than normal temps in January did them in. I know part of it is that garden bed is where we end up piling snow from the driveway and they never got unburied.

@tanteva It is *very* close to my mom's "recipe." The closest one I have seen online in fact. Every region makes it slightly different but meat and cheese in a crust is the common thread. My mom makes hers with pizza dough and since her family were peasants, she uses ham, pepperoni, and bologna (instead of prosciutto- $$$$). Only ricotta too, no mozz.
The planks- veggie version too- sound like they will be very tasty!

@taxed4ever Hope the sun stayed out for the hike!

@LSlycord Oh yuck, poor Shaun! I mean, I am thrilled that there's nothing wrong but what a mess that it keeps happening. Lots and lots of good, healing thoughts to him.

@bcgal00 Congrats on the zero balance credit cards! Everything seems to be getting settled in and set up. Woot!

@Cherylndesigns Better that you found out about that eye dr appt before you missed it. Sorry that you need new glasses. It stinks getting old. I would love to get LASIK someday and not worry about contacts and glasses and readers with contacts when the print is too small for me to see even with the multi-focal lenses...
I will have to keep the scanning app in mone when/if I get a new phone with a decent camera. It sounds like it would be very convenient.
So far, I am not sore after the two days outside but I am not doing any heavy weeding or digging yet. Talk to me next week! Hope you are loosened up by now.
Hope Adrienne is feeling better!

It's 75 this morning. I went to bed where my eyes were swollen and woke up again with swollen eyes. Allergies stink. I haven't had swollen eyes in over 2 years. Watching bridgerton season 2. The puppy has a birthday on the 22nd she will be one. She's been doing better. I've been junk journaling and cleaning the house getting rid of stuff in my office and having the house redone. So much work to do.

Good morning ladies. The days are flying by. Unpacking is my "job" right now. I can't wait until its done. I seem to be averaging about 8-10 boxes a day. I haven't started on office stuff yet and hope to get my main computer hooked up this wkend sometime. I'm going to Costco in a few hrs. I'm really curious to see how big it is. It is the only one in the interior so people come in from other towns a few hrs away.

@faerywings Sorry your sleep was so bad, hope it improves. Enjoy the good weather today.

@mom2triplets04 Yes, allergies suck. Mine are spring and fall so almost constantly have sinus problems, weeping eyes and sneezing.

I'm going to get a page done this morning before I head out for shopping. Have a good day everyone.

Good Morning everyone! The sun is shining and its a beautiful day! Nice of Mother Nature to supply the sunshine for my birthday today. Another year older another wrinkle or two well earned LOL. I am excited to go out for dinner tonight and not have to cook!! We are headed to the "Farm Table Inn" a favourite spot of ours and my brother and SIL will be joining us there. They make the most amazing Prime Rib dinner, my mouth is watering just thinking about it! I have some catching up to do here and then I am headed to the grocery store to pick up a few things. Making myself a cheese cake today, a treat to myself. Wish me luck that it turns out well and doesn't crack down the middle LOL.

@faerywings - thanks so much, now I will have both of those songs in my head all day long!! LOL Happy that you are seeing the sun today, it sure makes a difference in our moods doesn't it? Sorry that you are not doing well with the sleeping, but it is a good thing to be off of meds!! Hopefully your body adjusts and you get back to having better sleeps again! That is great that you got out for some yard work yesterday! Seeing the snake in the garden is great, I saw a garter snake the other day and he was a really big one! I don't mind snakes, its the huge spiders that really freak me out!! Ha, Ha on you all thinking the salamander eggs looked like Manatees, great minds think alike!! Hope your cleaning day goes well and that you aren't too tired to get out in the sun again today!

@mom2triplets04 - Yup allergies really do suck!! Sure hope your swollen eyes feel better very soon! Sounds like you are a very busy lady these days! Have fun with your junk journalling, so cool!!

@bcgal00 - So much unpacking, but oh it will feel so good when it is finally complete! Hope you get your computer up and running without any issues! Good luck at Costco today, it could be a busy one if its the only one around! However I think that they are all very busy, no matter how many are in an area. We are on our way to Costco on Friday and not looking forward to the crowds before the Easter Weekend. Have fun scrapping this morning!

Ok I need some more caffeine and then I will get ready to head to the grocery store. Have a great day everyone!

Happy birthday, Trudy @taxed4ever !!! I didn't know it was your birthday today. Prime rib and cheesecake - sounds like the perfect birthday present!! Glad your weather is warm and sunny.

Linda @LSlycord I neglected to say how sorry I am that Shaun is having so many problems. I hope they figure out what's going on and soon!

Laura @mom2triplets04 sorry your eyes are swollen. SO many people are suffering from allergies this year. Feel better soon.

Chris @faerywings Scott must really love his job! That's so awesome that he's doing something he loves. I had my cataracts removed a few years ago and implants put in. Had to have them "cleaned up" twice but it doesn't really help the close-up issue - part of old age, as you said. They're all I need and my prescription isn't a very big one. They help when I'm at the computer so long and for reading. When the doctor was testing me the new lens just made things "sharper" - my close-ups were about 6 years old, so it was not unexpected. The surgery, that I had, is mainly to help with distance, because people need to see distance to drive. Before I had my surgery, I had a pair for distance, too. At least, I don't have to wear bifocals of trifocals. I'm thankful for that. I always just pick out frames that I like then look at the price. Would you believe the new frames I picked out were cheaper than the ones I bought 6 years ago? But they also gave us a 20% discount on top of that, so I was pleasantly surprised. My lenses are not that expensive either. When they priced out the whole things the girl started showing me all of the "protective" stuff that "keep your glasses from ever scratching, have a lifetime warranty"- yadda yadda yadda. That cost MORE than the entire set of glasses!! (insert major eye roll) If BOTH eyes were the same, I could get by with drugstore readers. :(

Hugs to all and have a good day.
