GooOd morning and a happy Thursday to you all.
It is cloudy and cold right now, but it is going to warm up near 60* today. Then the rain is going to come in so I won't be able to get outside, bummer. It was really chilly yesterday but I cleared some leaves off of my lavender plants and just the smell from them was so relaxing. I took a cutting from a friend 2 years ago and the plant is really thriving.

Other than that, I didn't do too much of anything all day. I scrapped one more page for Christopher's album and now have 5 more to do in the next week or so. Nothing like being totally uncreative and having a deadline approaching. Some people do well under those circumstances, but not me.
Gary and I gave Floyd his fluids, and it took a couple of tried for Gary to get the needle inserted. Once he did that, it went fine. He isn't eating as much of the canned food right now so that worries me a bit. But I guess as long as he isn't vomiting and is keeping enough down, I will watch and wait for the appt next week.
I didn't take nap but I did climb into bed and read for about 20 minutes before I cooked dinner. Yup. That is kinda huge for me. :D

Today is paying bills and then off to clean for my neighbor. Nothing exciting.

Hope that your day is filled with sunshine and happiness!

Nancy- are you excited for the Devils game tonight?
How fun to get your hair color done a bit redder- sometimes a change is really good. Bet it looks great.
I saw an article online yesterday about info for pet allergies and ear infections are a symptom of that. I thought of Luther and hope that his ear infections go away and stay away.
I am not allowed to be in the courtroom with Caitlyn. The AG's office had everything sealed which is really good. No one will be able to trace anything back to Caitlyn's testimony or anyone else who is involved. Which reminds me, I should tell my mom. She had been worried about reprisals against Cait. Now she will have one less thing to worry about. :pound:

Trudy- UGH about the rain! Sorry that you weren't able to go on the hike. Were you able to take the time to get started on your painting?
How nice to have the sun come out for your birthday lunch.
Naturally- the Norwex gets delivered soon after you leave the house. *wink* That was nice of SIL to pick it up.

Felis- I understand completely about not having any spring clean up done yet. The 2 buckets of leaves I cleared yesterday was all that I have done too. Tomorrow I hope to be outside for a while.
That is fantastic to hear that your mood and enery levels are getting better. Maybe mine will do the same. I sure hope so.
No!!!! I want Quilliam's camera to come back.

I better get this posted-- xoxo

good morning - now the stress begins. My Devils start the playoffs tonight and I will be on the edge of my seat LOL. But I really do hope they do better than the Flyers who lost to the Penguins 7-0. It is a great time as there were 3 games and I watched the Jets defeat the Wild for their first playoff game in the history of the team. That was so exciting. They have this white out where everyone who comes to the game wears white it is pretty impressive! Then stayed up really late to watch the Vegas Golden Knights defeat the Kings 1-0. It was a very physical game. Drew Doughty this defenseman who is good but thinks he can do no wrong was hit a lot and it was pretty funny. He did not like it at all as he is usually the one who does the hitting. So today will be lazy. Tuesday I saw on line this trailer for a movie called Wife. It stars Glen Close. Well it made me curious and I got the book. It was really good. Makes you look at what it means to be a wife. Once many many years ago my sister came to visit with her daughter. Well I would go to work and come home to dinner and a clean house. That is when I knew I wanted a wife too. Luckily my DH is very proactive and we both do the work but still the concept of a wife is what I want LOL.

Chris yes we have clouds and hope that soon we have sun and warmer temps. That is so interesting about the trial and good she will not be bothered after the testimony! Congrats on giving fluids! And yes I am liking my slightly more red hair.

Trudy sorry about the rain. That is the pits not being able to go on the hike. Good luck to Boston tonight!

Felis glad you are feeling better. I have gone back and read my old diaries and they make me smile to see the things that mattered then. So glad I am past all that high school drama.

Jean well there has been a brawl between the Yankees and Red Sox. Baseball! And the Yankees finally won a game. How is your team doing?

Rae waving and sending good thoughts and hugs!

Have a great day all!

Good morning everyone! It is chilly here this morning, but the rain has stopped for a bit and there are patches of blue sky out there. Not sure how long that will last, but it is nice to see some sunshine at least! Why couldn't it have been this way yesterday? I had a nice long conversation with my brother who just recently returned from down south, they spent the last month travelling to California and Arizona, doing lots of golfing and hiking and just enjoying the warmer weather. Now they are home and both have head colds. It was fun to catch up with him and we talked and talked for almost an hour :blah: :blah: LOL. I did manage to get my easel, canvases and paints out yesterday and then ordered a bunch of new paints from amazon as my supplies are sadly understocked. So hopefully they will arrive soon and I can get going on my painting. I hope to get to the pool this morning and perhaps get a page done for one of the challenges too.

Chris - At least you got to be outside for a bit yesterday! I love the smell of lavender in the garden, but had to get rid of my plants as they were taking over everything and growing out of control. I suppose I should have just planted them in containers, but of course I never thought of that  Glad that you got the fluids into poor Floyd, hope it helps! I am also hoping that the warmer temps will bring some more energy for you, rain is better than the snow, you don't have to shovel the rain!! Perhaps it will be a good day to get Christopher's album finished off. I am sending you some creative mojo, hope it arrives to you!!

Nancy - It will be an exciting night of hockey tonight! Although I hate the stress of having to play the Maple Leafs!! Good luck to your Devils also! Sounds like Drew Doughty got what he deserved in that game LOL. As long as no one was injured that is. I would have loved to have had a Wife when I was working full time too!! LOL Although my DH is much like yours and is very good at helping out with the household chores! I will have to take a look at the book!

Felis - sorry that you are not able to get the rest of the yard work completed because of the rain! I have gotten my yard spring cleaning done, but not much in the way of cleaning up inside the house. The windows all need to be done and I should really look at sprucing up the crown moulding with some fresh paint, but I always seem to find something else to do :becky: I will have to look for your new pages with the new kit you purchased! Yes lunch at the Bistro was very nice here is a link to it if you are at all interested in seeing it. http://www.millbaymarina.ca/bridgemans/ Fun to look at the photo gallery and see the pictures of the humpback whales! Enjoy your day!

:hello: Jean and Rae! I hope that the sun is shining for your both!

Best get ready for the swimming pool and get on with this day! Hopefully I can get my canvas prepared for my painting today and I need to get to the grocery store for a few items, seems I go there way too often LOL. Have a great day everyone!

We have to leave in a bit for an appointment, so have to be brief. We're making this our week of new restaurants. Since we did somewhere new Tuesday for lunch and have a reservation for somewhere new to us Friday night, last night we went to a Mexican restaurant that's been open a few years but we'd never been to. The location has had two outstanding restaurants over the years but sat vacant quite a while. It was good, so we'll be back. It's a little further from home than we usually go these days, but we used to go places around there in the past. It is warmer today and maybe be warm and sunny tomorrow so we plan some birding then.

Chris, how good to hear you got outside and smelled the lavender! Also good Cait and others will be shielded in the proceedings. As to Quillcam, as it's daytime, nothing is happening, but it looks like it's working right now.

Nancy, good luck to the Devils tonight! Hope they win. The Indians are doing well right now, only one loss on this homestand and last night they even got some hits. Pitching is great.

Trudy, too bad about the rain canceling your hike but I'm glad you're getting ready for some painting. I have one of my drawings I've never finished and it would be great to do that, so maybe your work will give me encouragement.

Felis, congrats on feeling better these days. Surely warmer days and getting outside with the animals will feel good.

Hello girls,
the lovely morning start here, when you probably are going to the bed. Hope you aren't fatalist, Friday 13th is one of small superstitious in which I DON't believe. So I don't care. Other thing in that you should NOT believe is the forecast. No rain yesterday and I only miss the chance to sprinkle the yard (I'm still not buy the chemical, because expected rain).
So when I saw this beautiful time I felt that is my duty to go out and spend few hours on sun, because of all of you that are closed inside. It was a lovely afternoon! I wish I could to share it with Chris!
LOL, Nancy, I'm totally agree about the high school drama. It ridiculous what worries I'm had and how confused I've been in situations which now looks so clear. But what miss me from this time is the strength of the feelings! This passion in ideals, ideas, plans, hopes, love. I feels like in last few years I've lost my ability to feel happiness and love. I mean my mind can to register when have to feels them, but I just don't feel it. Like I'm fall asleep. I just scraped another part of this song, but this is so valid for what I mean: "Idealism sits prison, chivalry fell on it's sword, Innocence died screaming, honey ask me I should know..." For example yesterday I knew I must be happy from this quiet moment, I know I love this kids, I know it's pleasure sun to caress your skin! And I felt so good and pleased. But I just don't feel happiness and love at the same quality which they had at this old diary. Nevermind! I don't left this to spoil the good memory, in which this day will become. Ok enough for me.

so, Nancy, the start of playoffs must be very exciting! I'm not familiar with this movie, but you made me curious, I'll have to check it. Oh and Trudy is said that have a book, this definitely have to check, hope it's bean translated here!

Trudy, I'm not surprised from so long talk with your brother, especially after so interesting trip! I'm in exactly the same situation what you described about the Spring Cleaning. WOW, This Bistro is just amazing place! Especially at the night photo. Bad that they closed so early, it would be amazing to be there in stars night with their wine list and in good company!

Jean, so good that you are liked this restaurant! With the warm weather will become easy to go further from home. I'm not much spontaneous and never try new places without my sister to force me :) , so I understand you well. How strange the Quillcam now works good again, as I didn't have success with it maybe from the beginning of this mont? Always was showing no connection or strange angle. This is definitely good news!

Rae, you are in my thoughts!

And, Chris, I left you for the final today, because Nancy distracted me. Hope you have some progress with Christopher's album! Oh, the lavender plants sound so precious. I had no success in my tries to plant it, but I'll have to try again, because I also love this smell. Right now the hyacinths blooms, which is my personal favorite.
Nice that Floyd is been good boy and take his fluids calmly! You must be sure he eat enough to not start seriously lose weight! Many cats don't like their food change, so maybe is just this, don't worry unnecessary, but ask for permission to gives some other treats too. I think the white part of good boiled egg, was acceptable to be add to diet for kidney problems. Hmm, and human canned tuna, without much salt. But definitely first ask did his case allow giving of additional treats.
