Hi everyone!!!!
Please forgive me for being so partially-MIA these past couple of weeks. I have just been is crazy-head mode. I have been in a weird state-- highs and lows, bored and busy-- but overall, feeling very unproductive and very uncreative. I was looking forward to this week after last week- worked 4 days plus the dr's all day visit. This week I was only working 2 days plus today I am visiting with my mom. I feel like I have nothing to show for it. I mean, my yard is looking better, I have been trying to get stuff done, but I don't feel like I have gotten anywhere. I have scrapped a few pages but only for CT reasons and I am not very happy with them.

Do any of you get in these moods too? I know that Phyllis is hitting the no creativity bit- I think that if I didn't have CT duties I wouldn't be scrapping at all either. :(

*sighs* You poor ladies always seem to get me at my low point-- in the mornings, when I am tired and feeling drained/defenseless. hehe!
Need more:tea:????

So yeah, today I am going shopping with my mom- I need to get some new gardening tools. The ones I have are so old and the trowel broke when Gary was trying to dig out some irises. I would love to get a new pair of sandals, but then I always say-- where the heck am I going to wear them? Cleaning?? yeah....no.

I am also itching to get another tattoo. :D I have two tattoos on my right ankle- a butterfly/rune combo and a rose/tribal bit. I would love to have some vines and flowers connecting the two, running from my foot around my ankle. (I go through this every spring when I start seeing my tattoos again.) I wish Gary still tattooed...... I would never spend any money on one, (no money to spend on one-- which is the deal breaker ha!) and his inks have expired and his hands shake to much. Maybe someday before my skin is totally wrinkled and collagen deficient.;)

So that is the inner workings of the Faery Mind at 6 am when she has been awake since 4 am, feeling like she is losing her sanity.
I think that some of my minor obsessions and worries keep me from worrying about the bigger ones. I guess its a step in the right direction that I am aware.

Anyway, I am going to post this before I delete it all and then get angry at myself for wasting the last 20 minutes of my life writing this....

Temptation on Thursday:
Have a total Mid-Life Crisis, run away to some where warm, drink too many frosty drinks on the beach and get that tattoo.

Anyone want to join my in my insanity?

From yesterday ( I will try to go back and get the ones I missed, but if I don't know that I read them all!)

laurie- sounds awesome, reading under the trees! Not the mosquito bite part though.
And ticks-- everyone beware of ticks-- they live year round and the nymphs are out there looking for food as we speak. The nymphs are also hardest to find since they are the size of a poppy seed.
PSA from The Lyme-Infected Faery.....
Enjoy your day today do you have any fun plans?

Phyllis- So sorry to hear that was an old page. Your art is always so amazing, I truly hope that you get it back.
If I was on your prayer list, I really appreciate it. As you can see from up there ^^ I can't take much more. (But you know I always do LOL)

Terry- I wouldn't be surprised if your mom is now conditioned to the pain of walking which might make her hesitate in her steps.I hope that the PT went well.

Angela- hope that you had a nice and fun day at the b-day party

Kristi- 30 day shred?? ouch!!!! Hope you kicked butt!

Nancy- how awesome to get that autograph! Isn't it nice when they turn out to be nice guys as well as awesome players?
How cool to show off your Mad PS skills too!
I wish that she didn't talk like that and I tell her how it makes her sound trashy and that people will judge her on that. She is now substituting "flipping" for many other varities of workds so it is a start.

Trudy- happy 79th Birthday to FIL!
And to be a fly ont he wall at your ex-coworkers lunch!! I am so happy that you are out of there!

Oh yuck- look at the time. I am sorry I blabber so much about myself that I run out of time on all of you. :(
Gotta getthe kids to school.

xoxox!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey, Chris. i've been up since 4, too.... i had the window open a bit last night, and the Mystery Car went up our street at 4:00, turned around in the cul de sac and sped back down the street. this has been going on for the past year or so, and during the summer, it wakes me up almost every morning. i live on a short little dead end street without any traffic, and this guy zooming up and down the street is like having an alarm clock ringing. so. you all can get a laugh, imagining me sitting in my car at 4 a.m. at the end of my driveway some day soon, so i can find out WHO THIS PERSON IS!!! i'm relatively easy to irritate, and anything that messes with my already sad sleeping schedule has gotta GO!!

well. done with that

Chris, don't get another tattoo! speaking as a 60-something-year -old, you don't wanna think about what tattoos will look like on saggy old skin. ever since a tick attached itself to my neck the first time i did yard work last year, the idea of yard work has scared me a bit. so, i'm not using my gardening tools as much as i should be so far this year. i did plant some lettuce yesterday. we'll see how that works. i see we're expecting some ice/snow over the weekend. figures. well, hope you get some great tools while you're shopping with your mom today. i got an ergonomic trowel a few years ago, and i love it!

today? probably engage in some under-the-radar worry about my endoscopy tomorrow morning. i hate people putting garden hoses down my throat....

wow. what a mess of a post by me! sorry! hope you all have a lovely day. in every way. for this i'll pray. that's all i'll say. :becky:

lOve the O!
Morning O fam I have been in a work home sleep work home sleep funk- with a little exercise thrown in. Today's fun- going to dermatologist about a dry spot on my lower leg, then groceries, then stop to finalize taxes, then home to clean- yeah- maybe this weekend I will have enough brain to scrap!! Phylis - good luck with the endo- I have had two - my dad had stomach cancer that metastasized so after I developed GERD, I have had them done. The first one when they put the drugs in my arm, I understood why people became addicts that rush and I don't care feeling. Not enough however that it is a problem for me. I just spent 20 minutes trying on my summer clothes to take to hilton head- and the good news they all fit- of course they are all 3-5 years old- is plaid for shorts still in style? Well it will be for me. Swimsuit verdict- still old lady back fat, but hey- I don't have to look at it!! Alright, must eat breakfast and make bed and get out the door in 40 minutes!!

Hi ladies! Back with one last cup of coffee (at least out of this pot!!!!).

Laurie-- you amaze me with these workouts. I *have* to start doing sit ups at the very least. I wish I had your conviction and determination.
Good luck with the derm.

Phyllis- I can see now, all undercover- in a black hat, and the telephoto lens out the window.... yup, I watch way to much crime drama!!!
Snow ice for you??? NO!!!!!!!!!!!
I know what you are saying about the tattoos and saggy skin. I have an armband with Cait's name under it and just in the past 10 years, her name is getting all blurry. :( I also have a crescent moon tattooed around my belly button but it is starting to look more "croissant" than crescent :pound:

Kristi- good luck with today's Shred!!! Keep us updated!!!

back to yesterday-

Phyllis- woo hoooo on the bottle brush. I was going to suggest that you look in the baby section if you couldn't find one, but you did. And yes, it is the little successes that keep us going!
And GMTA-- would love to have been a fly on the wall with Trudy, too. Actually I would have just loved to be there as myself, but if a fly is what I need to be-- then I say go for it :p

Oh yeah, def. try out Trudy's Challenge! Its a great one and I think one you'd like.:)

TRUDY!!!!!! That would be soooooo amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! best of luck on getting the job!!!! When is dd due? You'll have time to be with her as well????

Sally-- you have the *worst* luck with your laptop!! I think you burn them out!! They say-- oh no, its sally!!! No way we'll get any rest unless we break down:rofl:
xoxo to you too!

hugs and love to everyone!

And this is from Tues-- but I missed it yesterday.....
but if there is one thing I learned is: yes, it will always be easier if they feel you are supporting them and have the same likes, up to a certain point, because that will facilitate dialogue, which is the most important, but even so…the most you can do is love them and try talking to them, there will be times they wont listen, because they think we know nothing, we are not the net/electronic generation and we are ridiculous .LOL but some of it will indeed sink in…
the rest?
they need to grow up, make their own mistakes…ono thing my friends, my doctor & teachers tell me is true: we have given them the tools for life, now is time they go use them….and some of them will go into bad periods, but in most cases is a phase, so one has to be patient and …put up with it LOL

OMG- sooooooo true!!!! And sooooo hard!!!!! My BFF and I had this discussion the other day about how it feels that all we can do now is hope that the foundation we helped build for them is strong enough and that they know we have their backs. Some of the stories that my kids share about some of their friends/school mates make me CRINGE and die a bit inside-- but so far *knocking wood* mine have stayed within "acceptable" rebellion and behavior. Not saints for sure, but they make good choices for the most part. I still have time though to have that smash back into my face.... Hopefully not.

Just wanted to thank you for sharing that Cyn. I told my kids a few weeks ago that I want to hear what "real" kids are doing. We hear lots about the sup-genius/perfect types and even more about the "bad" kids, but not much about the kids that are really doing ok, the ones in the middle. Parents need that feedback, right?

And hey-- Nana! How is the Dream Catcher spray working? I hope it works good for you. I made Nightmare Spray (same deal) and it worked great for Scott. Hoping that you get some sleep, sweetie!!!

Chris my dear girl…. join you?
I'm already there!!!!!
Come push a chair and sit here :hippie:
I ll make you some coffee and some Brazilian food which can at least virtually transport you to that warm place…with the best tattooists in the world!!!!
LOL

WE ALL hit that lack of creativity, it wouldn't be normal if you didn't, but I reckon after a period of nothing, comes the best creations…
I ll open a new thread to talk about the tattoos ;)
but I would agree with Phyllis on not having another if you are over 45 (but I don't think you are?)

and you never "waste" 20 minutes telling people who love you how you feel…. is worse if you bottle it up…and then bad things hurt your brain & soul in the long run
super huge huggzz from here

the teenage thing…yes, we hardly ever hear the just ok…. I'm glad Sarita brings all her friends here…some friends tell me how I put up with it (7 or 8 kids sleepover, some are boys) I say I rather have them here where I can see what goes on, than them being in the streets where more danger lurks… I'm glad I can share some of the stuff I learn along the way…at least being old is worth something LOL

Phyllis: did you take the number plate? you can call the department of motoring, get his ID and go to the police…we have here a unit that deals with annoying noise/disturbances after 10:00 pm to 7 am the day after…
they could give him/her a warning?
The tick thing….I never had heard of it until I saw a Lyme video 2 years ago…mind you, I should find the name in portuguese or Spanish, maybe is Chagas decease?
but I know about the battle sufferers have to fight…don't wish that on anyone :(

Now the end… I have refused it three times…. Depending on what you have, some conditions can be investigated with less invasive procedures…the thing is, in here they do it to save money (because less invasive procedures are more expensive…not sure how is in your part of the world?
Hope all goes well and doesn't take long Hugggzzz

Laurie, I will have an operation in May for a mole in my face that changed…I had three removed already, generally very easy and painless stuff if you catch it early, even the not so good ones, in general are treated successfully…
I really hope you get to scrap: LOVE your pages1!!!
see what I posted to Phyllis regarding the endoscopy :(
LOL at the clothes thing… don't care much about fashion, and am sure you will look great…when the heart is happy, it reflects out!!!

I see there are reasons to congratulate Trudy woohooo!!!!

I will try make time to read back the yesterday thread, but wanna go gallery watch…you girls are the major inspiration!!!!!!

I wont tell much about yesterday as it took 4 hours of feeling sick and me stuffing myself on cyclizine to stop sickness…but drove out to the theatre, took some pics, I think I got to video a bit too, and then…oh bummer, had to drive back again alone in the rain as she went to the after party, but the show was great, emotional ending as it was the last, so now am recovering…but all is good (at least in spirits way!!)
lots of photos to scrap so I should get on with that…

Hugggzz to you all, will try come back later!!

lOve the O!
So my spot is gone- dr did not think it was cancerous, but def not malignant melanoma so if biopsy comes back positive it would be easy to cure. Then he told me not to worry about it. I told him I wouldn't after all I took several months to get there!
