I am sooooo:sleep: still.
I crashed last night. Then Gary came to bed and his restless legs were so bad and all of his joints were cracking and popping. He went back to sleep on the sofa but I couldn't get back to sleep for almost 3 hours. Meditations and podcasts- nothing seemed to help.
I called my mom before I went out yesterday morning and she sounded pretty good, slept well except when the diuretics kicked in haha! I told her I wasn't going to become my brother and call her many times, but if she was up to it, to call me when she had time/energy to update me on how the Life Vest appt went. Gary and I had kicked back to watch some TV and was chilling with a glass of wine when the phone rang. It wasn't my mom, it was my dad. Who almost never calls me. Thank goodness that the first words out of his mouth were that everyone was fine.
The cardiologist called in the afternoon, said that he didn't like something with her bloodwork (thank goodness that I drove her all over to make sure that she had it done on Thursday!), pack a bag and go to the ER. When my dad had left her, he hadn't been in to see her yet but she had an EKG, blood tests, heart monitor all placed, plus IV fluids b/c she is dehydrated. There was something up with her kidney function again in the labs and the catheterization uses a dye that can be bad for the kidneys.
My brother texted me last night at 9.30 (slept through that notification, of course) to tell me he had went to see her and that she seemed like she was doing good. My SIL knows just about everybody and if she doesn't, she knows someone who does. One of her good friend's DDs works at that hospital and was my mom's nurse. A few calls here and there and we know that my mom is in good hands.
Cait and I plan to go down to visit her this afternoon. We have no idea ATM how long she will be in the hospital or when/if the cath will be able to be done. the Cardiac Center is supposedly one of the top-rated in the country so that is great to know too.
If I am not able to thank all of you individually for your support/good thoughts-- please know how much I truly appreciate it!!! Love you all!
