Happy Labor Day Weekend to the US ladies. We have a beautiful weather weekend here. And three days off (of school, not work ;))
Ii couldn't believe how tired the kids and I were last night. Two days back and we were wiped out!

My freinds and I had a nice time chatting on the beach for a couple of hours. No kids, and almost no other people. The lifeguards were laughing at us;) My friend smuggles in some lemonade and vodka so we each had a mini-cocktail and toasted in the new school year. After we picked up the kids, we brought them back for a last couple of hours.

Does anyone have fun plans? I know Linda S and Clara do.
We are invited to my neighbor's DD's party- they live way out in really rural NJ, with chickens and a goat LOL They have 2 really cute kids and some interesting friends. I am not sure if we are going, but my neighbors offered to drive me and the kids if Gary is still sick. I would do that, but that means I would be there until they wanted to go, and if I poop out (who me??? LOL) then I am kind of stuck. OTOH, might be nice to go out and have some drinks and kick back.


Linda S- poor Sydney! Scott was like that yesterday and he is 13 LOL! Hope you have a lot of fun on your trip!

Linda W- now we are at 178! heeheeeee!! The Natural bridge sounds soooo cool! Take lots of pics!

Oh Andrea- has my Lyme brain infected you too? :D Atha must have been looking at you like you heads 2 heads- what are you talking about mom??
You all must have needed that sleep!!Hope today the energy level returns.
If not, I have lots of coffee to share.

Sally- if I lived in TX, you would invite me, right? :D Have a great time with your party.

And yes-- everyone-- wait till you see everything that the Cheery-O's are doing!!!

(((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))) Dawn...... how far was he moving? If he is anything like my brother was (until he got marreid 2 years ago LOL) he would "pop in" at my parents at least one or 2 times a week, very conveniently at dinner time ROTF!
At the beach, all of the moms were talking about their recent/upcoming Disney trips. I got so jealous. But you are going to have so much fun!
Give Davy a pet/treat from me. :)

Good Morning!! I missed a few days there!!

I am glad u had fun at the beach Chris. Wish I had a beach to go to. My son has been asking for the past two years to go to one. I know we have a man made beach in the area but my car has not been working well all summer. Hopefully, Mr. Potts can put the finishing touches on it this weekend and we can start driving far again this week.

We finally made it to chucky cheese yesterday. It was alright but the kids had fun. They had a good week at school. Gideon got one OK face day and Yeshua got two. On Thursday he did not want to pick up and the teacher said she was gonna tell me so he had a little tantrum. :confused: Hopefully he does not do that again. But he had three happy face days so we allowed him to go to CEC.

Today I am just gonna clean up the house and entertain the kids while Mr. Potts works on our car. Hope everyone has a good weekend I will stop in later and see what u are up to.
 
Hi ladies....hope the weekend is off to a good start!

Today, we are working around the house and the yard...and then tomorrow off for a little drive to the Natural Bridge...nothing too big...just a day by ourselves doing something kind of peaceful and relaxing.

Update on S-DD and house cleaning issues: She hasn't been back yet!!! Guess her Dad really made her mad...and he didn't even fuss at her! I have talked to her on the phone a few times...but she hasn't said anything and she came to the hospital to see the baby.

Of course now I have a problem with another S-DD....GEEEEZ!! The one in TN is acting like a brat....sent me a nasty email yesterday about not calling her...and says now that the new baby is here we don't want anything to do with them!! This kind of stuff has always been an issue..because of their Mom brainwashing them to these ideas!! I swear...I just can't seem to please everyone!!!

Good news for my DD...the baby slept all night the first two nights...(well from 12-6)...WE WERE BLESSED WITH GOOD BABIES IN THIS FAMILY!! So far they have all been like this...but I did tell them "listen to mom, and you will get your sleep" . I say from 6 am wake that baby up and feed her every three hours until midnight...and it usually works!!

Well I am going to go....

I will pop back in tonight and leave some personals!!

Good morning! I was going to go cold turkey on the computer for the weekend but Brian decided he needed it for work. So I grabbed the laptop at the last minute and now I'm sneaking computer time.

Linda W. sorry that the S-DD's are giving you problems.

Lori, glad that you made it back in the Daily O's for the weekend!

Chris, sounds like a wonderful day that you had yesterday. Glad you have good weather for the weekend.
 
Gosh Linda how annoying about your step daughters and their demanding ways. I guess that is what u call it. I kinda understand. My mom has 5 sisters and someone is always getting her panties in a bunch. Granted my grandma can be a bit dramatic herself. My other grandma has 5 sons and they never have the gossipy fights like my aunts. They are always slipping my gma some cash or giving her a nice gift. About the one who needs to clean I guess she feels unwelcomed. Such a shame that she cant see all ur asking is for her to do her part while around. I am sure she will grow up and get it at some point.

Linda I am the same I go on technology breaks every so often and still sneak. I usually end up scrapping so its more of an internet break. I should be cleaning. I am gonna turn this thing off and run around cleaning.:D
 
Ok ladies. I'm going to be focusing on layout comments and welcoming in the galleries to keep up on Cheery O stuff. In trying to keep my life balanced, I probably won't spend much time in the Daily O's. I love you all and I love keeping up with you, but I think that I have to balance things or my husband will go mad. =)

I love you all and will certainly peek in every now and again to see what's going on in your daily lives. I hope you all understand and don't think I'm a selfish poster. =)

Have an awesome holiday weekend everyone. Or at least the US people...everyone else have an awesome regular weekend. =)
 
Hi O's. We are having a BEAUTIFUL day here...probably the last few days of summer :). GUnar is at work this morning and then we trade and I work this afternoon but after tonight I have a week off!!!! We are working on CHases room this weekend. It is covered in books and other stuff that we just need to toss...aka our textbooks from college. In college there were several times I just wanted to burn them so I may get some delayed gratification now. We need to paint, rip out the carpet and lay the floor. THen move the crib into his room and put Sadies big girl bed together. Tomorrow we will take a break to go to an anual family picnic. GUnar has been going to this since he was in grade school. Its a group of families that all went to the same school that he did and they get together every laborday, really its the only time we see them but its fun. They make a big backyard Olympics, wiffleball baseball, bocci ball, skittle spit, cornhole, and a few more I can't remember. This year we are also doing games for the kids now that so many of us have them I don't know what they will be but it will be fun.

On another funny note I've had to put my TP under lock and key...well not really but I have had to hide it. Sadie is really on a potty training kick but she has now tried to flush two entire rolls!!!! So now they have to ask me for TP :) I love toddlers.

OK I am off to catch a nap so I can stay awake at work tonight.

I have to get going, been up since 6 am (Thank you whining dogs!) and I have don't nothing but drink coffee and surf the web...

:D my dd has had me up since god knows when. why doesnt she bug mr. potts.
about two weeks ago i decided to get up at 6 to spend one hour by myself in the AM. Apparently the kids had already been up at that time but doing stuff quietly in their bed so when they noticed me up they took it as the ok to get up. So we are back to where we were months ago b4 i "trained" them to sleep later.

I know LindaS is active again, although I never really considered her 'not' a Cheery-O, it's kind of a given LOL.

Oh my, Davy is in heat again....ugh....which means extra bunny 'presents' on the floor...and my vac is on the fritz LOL! I am having F-U-N with that let me tell you!

Lori-LOL, gotta love kids...maybe DH can do something with them and let you have some time to yourself later? Alone time is soooo a necessity! That's one thing I like about going to work...the drive there and back 35 min ea way of me time ;). Whatever you do today have fun doing it!

LindaW-oh my, don't you just love family drama?! At least the ones that are a pitb aren't right there in your face all the time. Hope you are enjoying those sweet grandbabies! That's awesome y'all have good babies, it's probably cause you are all just so gosh-darned sweet :).

LindaS-ROFL at cold turkey on the puter! I can't even manage that when the power goes out ;). I make DH go get the generator now if it's off more than an hour.

Jos-hey! how's baby Chase? I bet he's growing like a weed! LOL at the TP, hope you got a photo!!!

Hi girlies...it's now lunchtime!! We actually left earlier for our day out...got a phone call from DH's brother...had to come back!! GAH!!!! His water line broke and he needed some help....so much for plans!!! Dang cell phones....need to throw them away!!!

Chris...Sounds like a blast on Friday!!! I wish I had friends to do things like that with!...once upon a time I did!! Seems we have all gone our seperate ways! and my family grew so big that it took most of my time anyway!! My best friend lives two hours away...only see her once maybe twice a year!! I miss her like crazy!! LOL...I see you have chipped away a couple of days now!!! So did you get to rural NJ? sounds like fun!

Lori...woo hoo!! yay for the little ones....yep...I can say that...cause I can give them back to the mommies when they act up!! I love CEC!! We take these kids all the time...I play the games and jump in the balls with them!! Hope MR P. got the car fixed!! and I am sorry you didn't get much sleep last night!! One of the downfalls of little ones....sad news is...once they grow and are gone...you start menopausing...you can't sleep then either!! LOL!!!

Sara....Understandble!!! since I don't work...I don't have to give up the dailies....YAY!! but if I worked...I would be giving up a few things for sure!!

It's Monday morning here downunder and I am getting ready for work (it's 6.54am), I have to run the Corporate Inductions at work today and tomorrow so I won't get too much PC time I don't think. Anyway, just wanted pop in and say hi, I love reading about what everyone is up to, and while I will pop in often, like now, I won't be able to spend too much time here...........I'm also a new Cheery O and I feel so honoured!!! but I guess more things to do as well!!! :) hope everyone has a lovely Sunday night and a great Monday tomorrow!!! {hugs} to everyone!!! :)

U are so funny Linda. I had a feeling I would never sleep well again once I had the boys. I just never thought menopause would be why. I figured I would always worry about my little ones no matter how big they got.

Ona congrats on your cheery-o status!!

I ended having a good day. me and my molly got some girlie time in despite her early morning demand for pancakes.
