Happy weekend to all who celebrate. :/
I am running on empty. Plain and simple burned myself out. I am 100% not surprised, no one should be. I do this to myself every time.
It will all come together as long as I don't do what I did last night. I was so exhausted and sore from being on my feet all day that by dinner time, I was dropping things left and right. Measured out parmesan cheese for the chicken -- spilled half of it all over the clean counter, front of the dishwasher, and the floor. Scooped the wet dog food onto the dry-- managed to splatter it everywhere other than *in* the dog dish. Hahaha! I was toast!
Oh no! That reminds me of one more task. As I typed that last section, I thought to myself, "Good thing I wasn't washing anything fragile."
I still need to wash the wine glasses!
They hang over the island and they get dusty and greasy when I use the griddle.
On a positive note, I was able to get the shopping done yesterday and didn't have to go far down the highway. And it didn't flood in the area where I live.
Did you see the pictures from NYC? The shore was also really bad. Caitlyn works east of here and said the roads were flooded in some areas too. She had us cracking up with this story. One of her students emailed to ask if she could make her appt virtual instead of in-person due to the weather. Cait had been hearing about a lot of the roads being in bad shape and the school has a lot of commuters, so she said not a problem, we can do it Virtual. The student logs on and Caitlyn realizes she is in the dorms. She didn't want to walk across campus in the rain! Can't say I blame her.
I am cutting my rambling short today. I am literally allllll over the place and not making *any* sense. Not even to myself
I need to get myself cleaned up and start cooking. And wash the wine glasses. I should do that first so I don't break them all.
Have a wonderful day
