Happy weekend to you!! I woke up in the middle of the night thinking that it was Monday. Then I realized that it was Saturday! :whoo: Usually I wake up Monday thinking it is still Sunday so this was a nice change.

Still feeling very chilly here but not as bad as yesterday. I was outside for a while collecting seeds and cutting down the dead vines and I had to have a sweatshirt on.

I got a lot of stuff done too. I was able to make an appt for Whisky and for my breast MRI. Cait didn't make either of her appts so she better get on that, esp if she wants me to go with her. TLO is doing good-- she is really smart! Now when we tell her to Sit, she immediately puts her paw out. She is very happy to be playing too. She had J were racing about the house together. Gary had to put Ray in the bedroom since she started barking. but it is definitely getting better every day.

I have no plans today and I am going to have to force myself to stay away from the news. DT tweeted some absolutely horrible, racist and unpresidential things about Puerto Rico that made my stomach turn. I don't know how low he can sink and that terrifies me because every time I think he can't get worse, he does.

I hope to work on some CT things today and maybe go out for a walk with the pups.

Have a super day!

Nancy- What a difference a few days make with the weather. I bet Luther is very happy about it. I like when I go to PA and I read two days straight so I know you must be enjoying that too. :)
That is so silly about your friend. I know that my friends sometimes withhold their vacation plans from me to protect me. But I am good, I can handle other people being happy. Did she really think that you couldn't? So strange-- and hope that you can work it all out.

Rae- hope you are all hunkered down and cozy at the trailer today. I am sure that Bailey will love your gifts.
Have you used Dr. Bronner's soaps? They are fab and there is a Lavender one that I love. Gary likes the peppermint one. I so rarely use clove bud oil but that sounds like a great addition to that blend. Do the lighter oils balance out the clove? Sounds like a good ratio to me :)

Felis- I miss my wood stove. We had to get rid of ours when we put the addition on the house. We have a fake electric heater but it isn't the same.
Sorry that the month flew by for you too, this entire year is going so fast for me.

Trudy- I hope that your Gary did well after his procedure. How long before you get the results?

Jean- tired and cranky is my middle name! Hope that you are rested and feeling much better today!

love to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning ladies... A sunny and chilly morning, we had such crazy weather yesterday, one minute it was beautiful sunshine then the next it was :rain: Off to Costco today to stock up on the groceries and hopefully they still have those great stress mats at a good price, I would like to get 2 of them. DH will grumble, but hey happy wife, happy life right?? Oh BTW DH did amazingly well with his procedure, he was awake the whole time and watched it all on the big screen LOL. Three very small polyps removed not cancerous and was told to eat more fibre and drink more water. No follow up required. Hooray ! He is a happy man!! and probably 5 lbs. lighter too :becky:

Chris - It is so nice to hear that you are feeling good and got so much done yesterday! I love that feeling when you wake up and realize you have the weekend to look forward too! Yes a good idea to stay away from all things related to DT!! What an idiot!! But I go there or I will get all riled up too LOL. I hope your CT work goes well and that you get out for a nice walk with the pups today! Enjoy your Saturday!!

Nancy, Rae, Felis and Jean - I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!! May you be blessed with lots of sunshine and relaxation today!

Good morning, ladies. Had a pretty good sleep and the rain has stopped (for now) so we'll head out soon to get our shopping done. We'll pop into the consignment store as I've got a few more bags for them of sweaters/vests to give them. I'm curious to see how much, if any, credit I have accrued since I was there a few wks ago.

Later this afternoon/evening we'll watch some shows and I can scrap a page or two. Should be a nice relaxing day.

Chris - never heard of Dr. Bronner soap but I'll look around for it to try out. Glad to hear that W is starting to play and feel more comfortable.

Trudy - glad to hear your DH did well with his procedure. Hope you get your stress mats.

Felis, Nancy, Jean and everyone else...hope you are all having a great day.

I'm getting another coffee, then need to get dressed and head out. Hope you all enjoy your day.

Hello, ladies! It's so cold here, makes me lazy. I think to get a blanket and watch a TV. I can't believe I wrote every day for a half of the month at Daily Ooo, I should go back and see in how of them I repeat the same things :). Not much doing today.

Jean, isn't unpacking the worst part of every adventure? But I'm sure you have to create many fabulous pages at the new month!

Rae and Trudy, Happy shopping today, hope to find some deals!
Trudy, I watched about this procedure at Dr. Oz, they said that is very important, great that results are clear! Alaso I saw your pages today and they are awesome!

Chris, so sweet about the progress of Whisky. I start worried did I'm unconcerned owner, my dogs knows only ''stop'', ''no'', and '''don't touch the cat'', no tricks or special commands. :pupkiss:

Nancy, hope you have a great day too!

It was nice to sleep in our own bed again! So we got up late. I think unpacking and catching up is pretty much done. I will admit is was easier to focus while we were away and ignoring many things. But didn't September just begin, like yesterday? What's with tomorrow being October? It'll take some getting used to.

Chris, nice to realize it's the weekend and you got things done yesterday. Hope you get in a nice walk with the pups.

Trudy, that is wonderful news about your DH's test! I'm sure you, as well as he, gave a big sigh of relief. Hope you had good finds at Costco. Groceries is still to do today for us.

Rae, have fun with that relaxing day! Still more consignment bags? That's great and hopefully new deals for you too.

Felis, hope you get to have a relaxing day too. Cold weather could be a good reason to do it. And yes, unpacking is not the trip highlight. I hope I'll have some decent pages from the new photos, but I don't feel like I took as many as there could have been. We'll see. I have TWO weeklies that need doing now.

Nancy, hope you're having a good day.

Holy macaroni! It is a cold start to the day here-- 40*! It is sunny so it should warm up a bit.

We all seemed to have a decent day here. I got some laundry done, the dishwasher is draining again *knocks wood for the next 5 minutes to keep it that way*, the dogs are doing much, much better. J and W are now playing and chasing each other. Ray is still protective of J and will bark so we are keeping her separated for the time being. Right now, the 2 are running around the LR and Ray is by my feet. We can hear them so maybe after a while, she will realize that it is OK. Next step is that we will put a baby gate up in the doorway so she can see them playing.

I made a double batch of the sweet potato treats for them and I also gave Ray bits of hot dog while they were all out and about in the afternoon.
I cannot tell you how happy we all are that it is getting better so quickly. W will get overstimulated and a bit nippy at times but I think that she is learning her bite strength because even when she gets our hands or arm, she doesn't squeeze.

Tomorrow I will bring her to the vet and we will get a better idea of age/breed/full grown size.

The big thing for today is that the family is decorating for Halloween! Scott is at Leah's right now but will be coming home early to do that. You all know how much fun that is for us.
:wickedwitch:

Off for some more :cof3: anyone else want some too?

Trudy- we are sooo dry here, no rain in a long time. Probably no rain since my mom and I were down the shore. What is a stress mat and where do I get one??? or 1000000?????
That is great news about your Gary! I am not looking forward to having to get one done, although the 5 lbs lighter might be kind of nice. :D

Rae- how did you do at the consignment shop and what good deals did you find? Tell Bailey that her O-Fam wishes her a happy birthday. Dr. Bronner's is a castile soap that you can get liquid or bar. We like the liquid and get it pretty inexpensively on Amazon. Target and Walgreens carry it here locally too as well as most health food stores.

Felis! If it weren't for me talking about my pets or complaining about the weather I would have *nothing* to say! Don't ever feel bad about that. We are glad that you are here with us!
"Don't touch that cat" is a very important command!

Jean- unpacking is the pits and I am glad you have that done and out of the way. Looking fwd to seeing your pages!

Hugs to all of you who read this!! xoxo

Good morning, ladies. Enjoying my coffee and snuggled up in a fleecy warm blanket. Taz loves it and won't get off it. He's snoring right now, lying beside me. We'll be packing up soon to head home. I need to get a few things done around the house and pick up a few things for the birthday dinner later. I want to make a dessert for me to have while the others have cake later. Not sure what but if I don't have time or have a good idea of something easy to make, I can always make my cake in a mug dessert. I found some jeggings in a plaid pattern for Bailey which she'll love b/c plaid is her fave pattern.

Chris - have fun with the Halloween decorating. Glad the dogs are continuing to find their place together and getting along better.

BTW, Chris - I did well at the consignment store. I had acrrued a lot more credit so got 2 bags of shirts, hoodie, vest, sweaters and scarves for free. I am loving my wardrobe!

Everyone must be off enjoying their weekend, it's quiet in here. Hope you are all having fun.

Time to get ready to head home soon. Gotta go now.

good afternoon - I am freezing! I know it is only in the 50s but darn I like the heat of summer. I do not understand how I can love living in an area where it gets cold and my favorite sport hockey is in played on ice. It cracks me up. I have a new printer that is supposed to be capable of wireless printing but our old router would not support it. Got a new router and I asked my son for help but he says to me why do I need it wireless. I mean does it really matter why I need it wireless should he not just do it for me. LOL I am such a push over. Worked out the details with my girlfriends but it is still crazy to me. Got Luther out for walks and he is much happier in this cold weather. We went to a nice park and all I saw was a flock of geese heading south. I thought there were be more but nope. Saw some other dogs and he was happy. He is now having fun searching for chipmunks. Read several books and that is good but have to get back to scrapping. Today is billing paying. It is nice to be able to do most online.

Chris collecting seeds sounds fun. And like you this year is going so so fast. Glad the dogs are getting along so much better. Have fun if you go on a walk.

Trudy glad the procedure went well. In the US they start at 50 I think. They are not that bad. I love that you wake up and then I go and eat all I want. Have a fun day today.

Rae wow more for the consignment store! that is awesome. Have fun at the party.

Felis we had to take our dog to have him trained as I just had no idea how to do it. He is much calmer now. And we have a cat but as I tell people we have an upstairs cat and a downstairs dog and they don't mix.

Jean welcome home. Unpacking and all that laundry is the pits. Have fun looking at the photos. And that is so awesome how the Indians are playing good luck to them in the play-offs.

Have a great day all!

I don't care if it's cool as the sun is brilliant today. Last night I continued with the Bavarian records for DH's family getting further back in time. Today is the last season game of baseball, then we start the playoffs on Thursday. But DH will watch football all day.

Chris, things sound much better with the dogs. Wonder how W will like Halloween decorating. Have fun doing that!

Rae, you are amazing with the shopping deals. Have a great time with the party and whichever dessert you end up with.

Nancy, a hockey fan who doesn't like cold? Well why not. Sorry you only saw geese, but I'm certain birds are moving with the change in the weather. We were surprised coming home at how many trees looked like leaves were just turning brown from the dry weather - until we crossed the divide to Lake Erie drainage and then we started seeing lots of yellow in the leaves and other color beginning.

Hope everyone's weekend is lovely.
