Well lOvely O-Fam, my attempt at resetting August didn't work, did it? Maybe next year I can start my attempts earlier, or get more people to help me out. :ohwell:

So here we are, September 1. But its not all bad, not even bad at all. There is going to be a huge amount of fun stuff, and some really exciting stuff, happening here at the O. You might have to be a bit patient, there is gobs of work being done behind the scenes as I type and you read. But it will be totally worth it!!!

besides refreshing the O-forum page, waiting for the fun stuff to appear, what plans do you have this weekend? The US has a 3-day weekend, but I am laying low, at least as much as I can. Its a Pain-Day for me, my ankle is wrapped in a an Ace Bandage, my neck is covered with a pain patch and the rest of me aches all over. Phyllis and Nana, can you relate? :hurt:

Last day at the lake yesterday was nice, somewhat bittersweet. Cait and her BFF have been going since they were in diapers... to see them both being silly and very grown up in their bikinis (gah!!) at the same time, made me both proud and sad. Guess that is all part of life....

Better get running/limping etc..... have a terrific day and weekend!!!

Dumpty-- hope you are enjoying the weekend, and that the kids are ready for back to school, too. Yay for getting that last challenge done!! I'll be working on the entries for coupons later today.

Oh Angela, so sorry to hear about your son being bullied. I went through that with Caitlyn in Middle school- nothing physical thankfully, but lots of nasty rumors being spread about her. Its heartbreaking, isn't it? And maddening!!! I hope that the new school is wonderful to him. (((((((hugs))))) to you as well, its very painful for mom to feel so helpless. :(

Jen- do you have the same affinity for question marks and ellipses, cuz I like them too :D I live in New Jersey (and the whole state is thrilled that Jersey Shore is being cancelled, :cheer2: ) and thank goodness it does not get that cold here!!! Gah!!!!!!!

Phyllis-- I always feel that is I can make it through til March, there is hope of surviving the winter. Its Jan and Feb that *kill* me!!
ITA-- Jen, please bottle that happiness, its like crack just reading it here.

Trudy- hope that your mouth and jaw feel better. I am sure that the job stress it making you clench at night.

Eva, are you sure about that?? ;)

Laurie- hope you had a nice time with YMG!

Linda S- hehe!!! Nope, I don't think you could do Aug. again either.

OOH I have seen Jen's photos of snow and cold in Alberta...you would NOT want to be there...I want to visit in the Summer!!!


So....mother nature is a bitch and she has gotten the best of me...it's been about 6 months..I think..since she visited last...and I am about to take a gun out and blow her to pieces!!!! I am stuck on the couch..with towels and feeling like crap!!! Oh and bitching at everyone that gets near me!!!!!!!!!! :brick:

sounds like a pain day in here. well, count me in. my akles are killing me from the roundandround this morning. probably because i slept all bent up in the recliner downstairs in the AC last night because it was SOOOO hot up in the bedroom. it usually takes me 24 hours to regain my normal height and shape (round) after a night sleeping in a chair.

nothing going on with me today. Hubby is around the place until TUESDAY. but i shouldn't complain. he's good at staying out of my way. i think i have laundry and ironing on the agenda, as soon as i get out of my pjs. woot. :bored: then i have to think of some ingenious reason why it would be totally impossible for me to cook dinner today....

Happy Saturday. grab some summer before it slips away!

Not much happening in my life today, beautiful sunny day, so hopefully MG and I will get out for a hike somewhere on a trail we have not done. I tried so hard to get some scrapping done yesterday, but I just sat and stared at a blank screen on my photoshop. I hate it when I can't seem to think of anything to scrap!! Lots of challenges I should be doing, but no motivation to do them :bored: Oh well maybe today?? Will pop in here later to see if you all are feeling better! :hug: :wave:
 
Okay...so last night my husband told me I was being too bitchy (it was really really bad)...I looked at him with "those" eyes and pointed towards my female parts and said in "that" quiet voice "WHEN YOU GET ONE OF THESE, YOU CAN FEEL FREE TO COMMENT ON HOW I AM ACTING, UNTIL THEN KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT" ...Yep...he retreated to his mancave and didn't speak to me the rest of the night. But...I will say, I don't ever recall being this bad...I feel better today....much much calmer. But yesterday I was telling off the fly that was buzzing the room.. I do not "bitch" as a normal...I don't like it, I don't like being like that....plus...my husband is usually taking on that part as a normal..and I just ignore him.

Okay....off to clean a bit...the house got totally destroyed yesterday while I could not do anything!!!

you go, Nana! i'm a big believer in Speaking Truth to Husbands! :rant: hope today feels better for you. do you ever wonder what God was thinking when he made women? and HORMONES?

nothing doing yet here, but i will be heading off with Hubby to DD's apartment to have dinner and what i hope will be a nice time. i'm taking along a bottle of 7 Deadly Zins to smooth out the rough edges, if there are any. this wine can mellow out ANYONE!! (Nana, take note....) it's too doggoned expensive to drink on a daily basis, but it's worth scrimping and saving for.

i think the Isaac Rain has made it here. it's gloomy and rainy. and HUMID! hope the sun is shining where you are. at least in you head, which, in the end, is the only place where sunshine truly counts. :bounce:
 
Friday night, my 9 year old niece (right in the middle of Sydney and Shaun in age) spent the night. We all went to the high school football game because their elementary school had a special section reserved where they could sit and watch the game. Made me a little crazy leaving them over there without me but they had the principal there and really won't let them get up and run around and I went at the end of each quarter and checked on them.

Yesterday, we made a Costco run and spent...well, let's just not talk about that. But we did get an extension to clean the ceiling fan. Brian still has to get on the ladder to do it. The ceilings in the living room are 23 ft so that's a real bear.

Also got iphones yesterday...so if you are my friend on Facebook, watch out! I have fallen in love with instagram!

Today, my nephew is coming home from college so that we can celebrate my dad's birthday which isn't until next week but Zeb's playing baseball so can't get home then. My brother is smoking a pork loin roast and my sister-in-law and I are doing the rest of the cooking. I've made one batch of homemade ice cream and have another one going right now. I have a loaf of homemade bread in the oven and have frozen fruit salad ready to go. Need to make cheesy potatoes and then we will be ready to go.

Going to try out some of the challenges...some great new stuff!
 
Morning ladies... sadly no hike yesterday, but I am hopeful that it will happen today or maybe even tomorrow, because I am off work then too!!! MG spent the better part of the day putting up gutter guards on our house before the fall arrives and our gutters get filled with needles from the fir trees. A treacherous job because our house is very high, but it will be great that he won't have to clean the gutters anymore!!

Nana Linda - You had every right to yell at your DH!!! He should know better than to say anything after all these years!! Hope that you are feeling much better today!!

Phylis - How wonderful that you are having supper with your DD!! I hope it goes smoothly! So happy for you that things are better between the two of you!! I am gonna have to check out that 7 Deadly Zins!! My MG makes a mean white zinfandel, my very favorite wine for summer!! Hope Isaac doesn't dump too much rain on you! have a great time at your dinner!! Hug your daughter for me! :hug:

LindaS - Boy do I know what you mean about the money spent at Costco!! ouch to the pocketbook!! As usual you sound very busy! Enjoy your new Iphones ! I love mine!

Well I better get some brunch for MG and myself, hope everyone has a great Sunday, we are going to dinner at my sister's place tonight. She has a beautiful piece of property with a B&B on it, perhaps I will bring my camera and take some photos for you all. :wave:

Me I'm so proud of myself I finally made a dr appt and now I'm gonna get yelled at by the dr fun fun!!!!!!!!!!!!! But at least I picked up the phone lol!!!!!!! Chhhhjily morning here gonna sneak in a COFFE at my sisters mebbe and can't figure out what the heck to make for super.

Look through my message here Linda S. that's what the iPhone does inserts crap that doesn't belong and misspells stuff at the wrong time. Lol but I loves it regardless
