Gorgeous gorgeous weekend weather is here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
77* today and 82* for tomorrow... please oh please let it be so!!!!!!!!!!

The sun and heat make me so happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(Did I use enough !!!!!!!!!!! for you? It's my favorite punctuation mark. yes. really!)

Gary is taking Cait over to the festival in a bit, I am cleaning the hallway carpet. The cats decided that is their favorite place to pee, even though I have a litter box *rightthere*

Then we'll go over to ALF, and walk around and tell everyone to go see the world's funniest looking New Zealand White Rabbit ever (aka Cait's Bunny). If I walk enough, does that mean I can treat myself to a bag of zeppoles? I better eat all of the junk that I can before Wednesday when I go to the dr and see how bad my cholesterol was.

What are all of you up to today? Hope that your weather is as nice as mine and that you all have a fantabulous day!

xoxo

Good Morning.....

Getting ready to shower and head to C-man's soccer game in a bit.

Things are not going that well on my daughter's end....I am most certainly sure that in November when we go back to court she won't get the children back and they will be with me for a long while.

Things are getting very FALLISH around here....some cool nights and colors are turning....

Hope you all have GREAT weekends!!!

LOVE TO YOU ALL!!!!

Laurie- I love that motto..... I use the "what does not kill us makes us stronger" one a lot. And the "This too shall pass." I saw on FB from a fellow "Lymie" a quote about strength and i thought of you. Wish I could remember it, or find it again. Hope that you and YMG had a great night out together.

Phyllis- don't be too jealous of me, I have had my share of idiot neighbors- including a family of heroin dealers across the street. Thank god that they moved out a month ago. Whew!!! Enjoy your Vit D too!

Maureen- how did your Target and Costco runs go? Better this time?

happy Thanksgiving to you trudy! Enjoy your long weekend!

Frani- keep on resting and feeling better.

Oh Linda....:( Hugs to you and to your fam. Hope that no one else gets sick.

Andrea!!!! You're back!!! Yay!!!! I have to give you props for remembering everything, even if the camera battery died. That rocks. The remembering, not the dead battery. bet between you and Clara you got some good pics- and some LO's to come??
Clara said that Vince had to leave, is it for a year again? I hope not- it is so not fair. :(
I can't get over how big Walter is (and how sad is it that I think of Walter/Walternate from Fringe LOL ??). It seems like he was just born. he is a cutie pie! How are the girls doing too?

TTYall soon!!!

Thanks sweetie....I wish there was something anyone could do...but it all rests on her own shoulders. :(

Maybe when Mike retires in a few months we could come visit....we would love that!! so can you pitch us a tent in the back yard??

Thanks for all the well wishes ladies! I am feeling much better, the two days of rest did the job. No more sore throat and headache is barely there.

The weather here is suppose to be nice this weekend, no rain and warm days.

Chris - sounds like you are having a busy day today....
Nana- I don't know what the situation is, praying that it all works out for the best. HUGS

Thanks sweetie....I wish there was something anyone could do...but it all rests on her own shoulders. :(

You are always welcome!!!!!!!!!! And since in a few months I am expecting my yard to have snow, you can come inside LOL

My mom's lakehouse in Northeast PA is also always open to visit. :)

Frani, i think my daughter caught what you're working through. and she's coming over today to do her laundry, so no doubt either I or my husband will be having some "fun" with the bug shortly....

have to go to the bank, the grocery to get stuff for the dinner my daughter ordered for her visit today. then back out into the acreage to do some more Fall cleanup. i'm making my husband help out with THIS phase.

been doing scrapping and computer stuff and laundry since about 7 a.m. i tend to hit the computer 1st thing and if i get an idea for a page, sometimes i just have to get to it RIGHT THEN or i forget it. and then 7 a.m. becomes 9 a.m. or later. and there goes the morning.

have a happy, sunny, warm and relaxing weekend, ladies!

Hey everybody!
URGH, today Walter is being soooo grouchy! Usually he is the happiest baby in the world (tm) but I don't know what's up today, he just is not happy doing anything. I think maybe he's teething. He's finally napping right now, and I gave him some baby tylenol right before he fell asleep. Hopefully I can keep his sisters away from him while he naps, and maybe he'll be less fussy when he wakes up. Trying to get caught up online and do some scrapping while he's sleeping. I have homework to do, but I have priorities!!

I know you guys already love Clara, but check it out. She is going to Trader Joe's today, and the closest one is like an hour away. Anyway, she's getting me some of these almonds that have dark chocolate, turbinado sugar, and sea salt on them. They are the most delicious things on earth!!! How awesome is she? She bringeth the chocolate.

Some personals- more to come

Chris! Yes, Vince is gone for a year again. He was only back for one year, and now he's gone again. Let me tell you, taking the kids home after we dropped him off really sucked. I hated taking Walter back from him. You saw the pics on my blog, right? Ugh. I usually do really well during deployments, because I'm good at maintaining a good attitude, and about being positive and all, but this time it was really hard. :-(
The girls are pretty good. Atha's in first grade and she's super proud of herself. I'm proud of her too. She's such a sweet girlie. She's starting Girl Scouts, and I had promised she could join. Got an email from the girl scout leader saying that there would be no troop if she didn't get a co-leader, so guess who that is. YEAH ME!
Genny is doing well too. She's still in special ed preschool, but they've started putting her in the regular class for part of the day. We think she's in Addie's class, but neither girl is particularly good at letting us know for sure. They do go to the same school, though.

Nana- Not sure what is going on with your daughter, but I am glad that the kids are with you and not somebody else! I hope you can relax this weekend. XO

Frani- glad you are feeling better! Take your zinc! Hopefully you can have a nice warm fall weekend!

And I am in Advanced mode and can't see anybody's siggies or names. So I will do the rest of the personals in a separate post.

Oh, Phylis, it looks like you are the only one who's name I couldn't see! :-) I hope you guys don't come down with that bug! I reiterate, take your zinc!! I am convinced it helps! I hope you got some scrapping done. Jeekies, it's noon already!
Acerage, how much do you have? and where are you?

morning all - wait- afternoon all - late night- I have been to town to buy paint-yes we are covering the primer this weekend. MMG got his bday present- a telescoping flagpole and of course one of the buttons does not work- so a call to the company and they are sending the part. He is being ornery about it. Hopefully I can fix it for him before he gets home this week. Okay off to enjoy the sun or the basement!

Andrea, don't worry about missing me! i almost NEVER do personals, so i don't deserve to be noticed!! we've got 2 1/2 acres in western PA. not a ton, but more than i'd like at this point!

An early morning as always on Saturdays. But then we had a friend come visit to look at my dryer. It blows the fuse periodically and randomly but the Asco tech said he would just live with it. He couldn't fix it, so we do. I told Dick I need someone to help me replace the fuse if he's gone or if he dies! I do feed this Mike, who is also Dick's bicycle buddy, so it's all good.

Yesterday's shopping went quite well, tho I was plumb exhausted by the end of the day. LOTs of meat at the Amish market so I need to start cooking and freezing. 1st is a Lithuanian Sauerkraut soup that is half started. Bones and meat roasted and crock-pot over night. Now for the messy pick the bones part. btw, after all my hoopla about getting PSE10, Costco did not have it. Now I'll just stick to my 9 and install the old 8 on Dick's old MBP. I rarely use that one but it's great for my dog sitting times.

Tomorrow we go to VA for a granddaughter's, Josie age 12, lacrosse match. My cousin was a star at Wash & Lee back in his college days. Glad to see a girl in the family playing. She is no way like her Zip-sports-skills Nana.

Enjoy the holiday all if you celebrate it…Yom Kippur or Columbus Day or Thanksgiving or just the weekend! ciao..Maureen

Back with the rest -

Chris - sounds like a great day in NJ! go ahead and eat those zeppoles. Whatever your cholesterol is, it isn't likely to improve in a day and no more blood tests till your Dr. deals with you. (I know I should be telling you to be good but…hey.)

Nana - Sorry to hear you will be a Nana for a while longer. These situations are never easy for anyone involved. My daughter gave Dick and me the song and dance about raising her child when she was pregnant - the last time. Fortunately she is letting another couple (who couldn't have children) raise that little girl. It seems to be working out for the best for all. God help all the children. Prayers and hugs.

Frani - Hope you make sure to take Columbus Day in bed still or at least eeeezzz.

Phylis - I know what you mean by 7am becoming 9am becoming noon. I had a quick look this am before I had to go out, and am just finding time to get back now. No scrapping so far though.

Andrea - Some deployments do seem harder than others. I know that from my dil. But good for you with your own education! That's good modeling for your little ones.

Laurie - I'll bet you get that flagpole flying! Lots of fresh air when you paint so you don't go brain dead! I personally hate all paint fumes so I seriously avoid the whole concept, if I can.

Painting done for the day. Bought steaks for MMG to grill. Enjoying wine out in the shade. AC is not working. Strength through adversity-again!!

I think I forgot to share here....maybe I did...so forgive me if I am repeating myself....

but we are officially grandparents AGAIN!!! HEHEHE #8

She was born on Monday afternoon and her name is Josephine Morgan (calling her Josie). The girls are catching up!!!! 5 boys and 3 girls now....and goodness knows how many more there will be....with 5 daughters...we could have end up with about 12 or 13 of them :scared:

Cameran had his last soccer game today...he played really well!!! and then I watched a movie....Jesse and Jaiden are visiting Traci today (their Mom..my other DD)....they will be back after church tomorrow. Mike and Cameran went hunting...will be home in about an hour...I have been cleaning since about 3 pm....I am tired...but it needed to be done.

Tomorrow we are having a car cleaning party...bwhahahahaha...Sharon is bringing her car (or the "gypsy wagon" as she calls it) and we are going to wash both of our and hers and clean the inside of them....YAY!!!! I LOVE MY CAR TO BE CLEAN!!!! I am rather neat with mine, plus I don't go a lot...so it's not that bad. NO ROTTEN TOMATOES CHRIS!! HAHAHAHA!!!!

Okay...off to finish vacuuming before the boys are home....

Linda, while family is in Falls Church, game is in McLean for MY dgd Josie, born Josephine Rose. Such a comeback of such an old name.

Younger sister Hannah is swimming out in Herdon and while match starts at 06:30 - can you frickin' believe??? - she won't swim til about 11. My son said they sat today for 5 hrs for 34 seconds of swimming. Glad it wasn't like that when I was the parent of the swimmers etc

OOOOHHHH...it was definately like that when my girls swam!!! I hated it!! Oooops...I did not say that!!!!

Well....you will be on the other end of the state....I am on the South side...in Roanoke.

HAHA...yes a come back on Josephine. My husband's mother's name is Josephine, and his middle daughter has said since age 5 when she had a girl her name was going to be Josephine....she stuck to her guns

HAHAHAHA!!! Yes it is....I always say.... WE LIVE IN THE SOUTH!!! but if you drive to the Northern part of the state you are in the NORTH...we are a divided state for sure!!! :pound:

Happy Sunday my lovely O-Fam!

I am in a pretty good mood so far today. of course I have only been up for an hour and a half, both kids are sleeping and the sun is shining, but I am sure that it is going to stay that way. The good mood, not the kids sleeping. They have to get up soon since my parents are coming for b-fast. And they are bringing bagels, yum! My parents live by the best bagel place in NJ. And even though I live in North jersey, there are only 2 bagel places nearby and one is a dunkin donuts and that does *not* count. :D

FYI- jerseyans take their bagels and their pizza very seriously LOL

ALF was nice.... for a street fair. Its so goofy, really. Its so hard to really visit any of the stalls, so basically crowds of people just walk up and down the street
seeing who you know. We visited with cait and her bunny and some of the other bunnies on display. The other bunnies were what I thought she was getting when she asked if she could have a bunny. Little, fluffy, big brown eyes..... nope she gets a monster bunny with red glowing eyes. haha! It was funny hearing other people's reactions to he- wow! That is a BIG rabbit! I think she is about 12 lbs, which is a big bun. Her breed was raised as a "meat" bunny,so it makes sense.
Then as we walked past a photography vendor, Gary sees our niece-- in the photo. It was done several years ago- oh I guess more than several..... time flies...
Anyway! It was one of those fantasy scenes- where she was dressed as a fairy in a fairy scene, very pretty, mystical type setting. But how funny to see her photo. Then we bump into scott at the "Main stage." Turns out on of his best bud's bands was playing there and was supposed to be on next.

In a nutshell, that was the day- walking up and down a street in town, listening to people make fun of DD's rabbit and waiting around to see DS's friend's band play while sitting on hay bales.
Does that sound as ridiculous to you as it does to me?????

Personals from yesterday......

Hi Frani and nana!
Hope you both had good days.

phyllis- I love love love yard work and gardening, but fall clean up-- not as much, and that is a lot of property you have... wow.
I feel like I have to cram my scrap time into such small bits that I feel like my creativity is sometimes pushed away. i love that you are able to scrap and say "screw the time!"

Andrea- your post exemplifies everything that i love about Oscraps.
Trader Joes. Chocolate. Friends. Babies! Your (tm). And scrap priorities.

I have been following your blog and FB posts.(although I cannot figure out how to authorize you as author via networked blogs, it used to be so easy, now I can't find the "yes you are the author button) i can't imagine how difficult it must be for all of you. And the girls are that much older and more aware.
That is to funny about not knowing if the girls see each other in school. sounds like my 2.

How is the paining going Laurie? Have fun today and good luck with the flag pole. Such a bummer that a part was broken :(

Maureen, have fun at the game today.

Laurie- hope that you enjoyed your wine, you deserve it!

nana--- no rottn tomatoes for sure!!!!!!!!!

Gotta post this. typing w/ left hand, rt is keeping catzilla off kebd.

xoxo

Morning all - church followed by bob evans and lowes- again. I am beginning to dislike the store- because I visit so much. I'm doing less painting today- MMG has to do the ceiling again- the paint I bought yday did a lousy job. So I am going to work up here- download something to scrap and clean out my flower beds- known as enjoy the amazing weather. I can't wait for the basement to be done- well at least up to the decorating part.

Morning everyone!! Did not make it in here yesterday, busy day with clothes shopping for me, cleaning up the back yard a bit and then off to meet up with relatives for supper. It was soooo good! We went to Simon Holt's the food was wonderful! Had a lot of laughs and so nice to connect with these people again! Today we are invited to youngest sister-law's for Thanksgiving, it should be interesting as she is in her mid forties and I do believe that this will be her very first Turkey!! Both of my husband's sisters are not interested in cooking much. So strange because that is their mother's favorite thing to do. Guess they got so used to her doing everything for them, that they think it should stay that way. Both of their better half's do most of the cooking.
I think everyone should know how to cook, so I made sure that both of my kids were great cooks and they really are! My son was a cook when he started with the military and my daughter has helped me with all the meals for years, she is a better cook than me! Ok enough rambling!!

I have to get dressed and ready for my walk with DH, its a lovely day and then off to Costco before we go to SIL's. Hoping everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend!!

MY CAR IS SPARKLING

DH is doing the wheels as I type!!!

We went to breakfast this morning and then to Target...quick run into to Lowes and back home to clean cars.

My life feels rather "clean" now...after all the house cleaning yesterday and car today....

OOOPS...I need a shower...then it will be complete :pound:

I think everyone should know how to cook, so I made sure that both of my kids were great cooks and they really are!

Hi Canadian Sister.....ya know I taught both my girls....it didn't take too well with Sharon :twitch:

Her microwave blew up last week and the next day she went to Lowes to get a new one....she told the man "GET ME WHATEVER YOU HAVE IN STOCK"...he asked a color preference and a price range she said "DOESN"T MATTER..JUST NEED ONE TODAY" :eek2:

Now Traci can cook up a storm!!!
