Happy weekend!
Guess what I did yesterday? I jinxed myself! I don't think that I sat down until about 4 pm yesterday. I don't think that I got all of that much "big items" off my list but lots of smaller ones, chaotic ones, silly ones. Typical Faery.

Scott has been looking for a "new" car since his old one died and my old car, the VUE, is not practical to keep long-term. He has saved a ton of money from the summer for one. My parents are helping him out a bit too, so they came up to give him a check to put towards. He is looking at Subaru Forresters. There were a few that they were going to look at and then back to the one that he test drove earlier in the week.

Cait and I went to get our blood drawn together and all three of my phlebotomy friend was there. One hadn't met Cait before and was 100% with us busting on another one who had to turn Caitlyn away on Tuesday. Cait let a small boy go before her right before they had to close and had to come back. Then we had to run some errands, pay bills, do 2 huge loads of laundry, clean up after 3 crazy dogs...

I was so tired that when my mom asked if I needed money for gas, I said no but I would take $20 for pizza. I could not even think about cooking.

Today I am off to the food pantry and then some regular household kinds of things.

not much else in high-level excitement for sure.

Have a wonderful day and lots of  and :cof1: to you!

This morning is the monthly meeting of the genealogical committee at the historical society followed by our annual open house. So I will be gone pretty much all day. Last night was such a roller coaster watching the Indians nearly lose, then win in the 13th!! We all need the breather today before playing in NY tomorrow.

Chris, hope today is a little slower paced for you. At least you did a lot of things yesterday.

Hope everyone's weekend is starting well.

Up early and got the coffee going. Going to get a couple of pages posted to the gallery and then enjoy some quiet time on the computer. It will be a busy weekend and so I will absent from here today and the rest of the weekend probably. But it will be a good busy, not a bad busy.

Chris - You sound like you had a full day yesterday, nice that you did not have to cook after all of your running around. I am guessing that Scott is feeling better and how exciting for him to be getting his own new car! Cait is so sweet to have let that little boy go before her  I hope you have a good day today and that you get to cross off a few of the big things off of your list! Enjoy your coffee! I am savouring my fist cup right now. :cof1:

Jean - You are up early and have a busy day to look forward to also. I hope your meeting goes well! Must have been a nail biter of a game last night! Let your heart rate return to normal and take a break from baseball today! LOL

:hello: Nancy, Rae and felis! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

I wasn't most organized person past few days, so I have to finished some details about the seasonal arrangement of the wardrobe. Only indoors plans today, because it is rain like from a bucket. But we have a great dog walk yesterday. Would be great to find some time to choose photos wich to scrap. I don't have nothing concrete for this month so will let the kits to lead me. I read at the newsletter that Joanne Brisebois will have new challenge next week and I'm so curious to see it, I love her style! Also my aunt was not coming this week, so I hope to do it today! Phone is the first thing that I stopped to pay :) .

Chris, sounds like a very successful day yesterday! Now enjoy the weekend! Do the making test drive means that Scott feels better?! I hope so!

Trudy, thank you for thinking of me  ! Yes they tell us that at the work all will be back to normal from the new week, but will see. Which is good, because I can't start travel at the winter, which will be necessary if I have to start new job.
Fingers Crossed to be sunny for your Thanksgiving weekend, your plans sounds so fun! Probably vineyard and bakery could be visited on rainy too?! Have a fun time!

Rae, I hope you have one great Thanksgiving, even not be so typical, maybe with some keto variant to chicken soup against the cold!

Jean, looks like you've been very busy yesterday. Do webinars was fun and informative to you?! Hope today monthly meeting was fun too! Weekend dinner with cider, sounds like awesome plan.

Nancy, enjoy your weekend!

I am back! I had a reply thread all started and then Jaida threw up on my bed again (she is not eating b-fast like she should be which gives her reflux) so I had to strip the comforter off and wash that. Then I scooped litter boxes and the lawn, played with the puppies, and then went to the FP. We came home with a BIG score! 3 boxes of Girl Scout Cookies! And some dark choc bars and brownie mix. yay! (yup-- the little things make me happy  )

These are from Friday:
Nancy- oh boy, skunk is never, ever good. Thank goodness Luther didn't get hit. he will do great at daycare for ovenights. Hope that you didn't get stuck at DMV too long. Such a miserable place.
I feel the same about the rain holding off a bit, I still have more morning glories to pull down so that is where I am off to after I post this. I am also torn since my lawn smells bad with W's loose stool. But giardia dies more quickly in warm and dry areas over cool and damp, so I will hold my nose.

Felis- I know what you mean abotut the world being so darn depressing. And this is why we have cats and dogs. W loves her belly rubbed and b/c her fur is still growing in after her spaying, it is soft and toasty warm. :pupkiss:
I hope that the sunshine and cats helped to rebalance yourself.

is it Thanksgiving today or tomorrow, Trudy? Either way, have a wonderful family weekend! I am thankful for all of you!
That sounds very promisign about the consignment shop owner-- good luck!
Gary has been in the basement all afternoon and I hear banging and such, so maybe he is getting into the Halloween spirit??

Rae- how is Darrell feeling today? And Jen? Whew!!! That is wonderful news about Bailey just sleeping through an alarm. Enjoy your dinner tomorrow.

Jean-- how was your cider? Bet your group enjoyed it very much. Fresh apples are so good. I grabbed a few that were left fom the farmer's market at the FP and they aren't all waxed and shiny but I bet they taste better than grocery store ones. It is so funny how we are conditioned to view produce a certain way- shiny prefect apples that don't taste as good as fresh, rough skinned ones.

OK my lOves, I am off to get my hands itno some dirtt. xoxo

Good afternoon, ladies. Have been busy today with family and trying to get stuff done around the house. I'll be cooking the turkey tomorrow. Today I need to get some desk and tax work done over the wkend and want to get everything done so I can relax this evening and watch some shows with Darrell whose been lying in his chair, trying to get over this virus. I made up an EO antibacterial disinfecting spray, a chest rub for Darrell and an EO hand gel santizer. Hopefully these will all help with the house of sickness we seen to be living in :)

Chris - have fun in the dirt :) Hope Scott finds a good car. How generous that your folks can help out too.

Felis - hope the wardrobe arranging gets done. I sure love that all my clothes are organized and I know exactly where everything is and can see exactly what I have. In past years I've been known to be 2/3 through a season before sorting and organizing clothes so this is the first year I'm completely on top of it.

Jean - hope you had a good meeting this morning.

Trudy - sounds like a busy wkend. Hope its a good one.

I'm off to the store now for groceries. Have a great day, everyone.

Good morning, girls!
Only quick note today, because we will go to the grocery and I have to rush.

Happy Thanksgiving to Trudy and Rae :canada:! Hope to have a lovely holiday celebration!
Chris, Jean and Nancy, I guess we also can celebrate with pie, just like that, for empathy :tea:.

And yes, we have :rain:
I was able to bring the dogs outside this morning and it was only misty bit we are getting some good rain in now. Scott and Leah decided they were going to camp out in the backyard so they are going to be a bit bedraggled by the time they get up unless they came inside overnight.

Man, it seems to take me forever lately to write these posts. I had to take W outside to go potty, then came back here, then had to calm down a play fight between W and J. They are getting along so well, they play fight and chase non-stop. They both get so wound up though that we have to step in on occasion. yesterday, I thought that they were really getting aggressive and when I went to separate them, Cait and Gary were laughing and playing with them. They were sounding so noisy and vicious. Looking back, I remember thinking the same thing with J and R when we first got J.

So yesterday felt like a blur. I honestly don't know where it all went especially that I didn't *do* anything. I was able to cut down the last of the vines so that is good. there are some still in the hedges, but I can't reach them when all of the cars are in the driveway. Made dinner, watched some TV, and went to bed.

Today, I am getting ready for food shopping and that is going to be it.I want to do some scrapping. It feels kind of weird- the weather is dreary and rainy. It is October and I feel like I should be baking or making soup. But it is 73* and humid.
My mind is already clicking ahead to the last week of Oct. I only have one thing on my schedule that week, so if there is some way that the weather gets warm, I am dragging my mom to the shore with me. Last year we were down there on Oct 20, so it isn't completely out of the question. *fingers crossed*

Not much else happening today, hoping that all of you have a super one!

good morning - wow yesterday was fun and busy from the time I got up. Had to get ready for a pregame BBQ at my son's with our friends who were also going to the home opener of the Devils. The day was gorgeous sunnyish and warm. Had to wear summer clothes to the BBQ but bring winter wear for the game. It was so much fun! I am too old to be yelled at any more. So when we pulled into the parking lot the attendant said I had to turn around and enter the lot from another direction. Well we tried explaining to him that we had a the pass and would just drive through. Other cars were driving through. Well instead of turning around I just drove through. A lot attendant came over to discuss and said the guy was just lazy and he was sorry we had been treated this way. Then I get my bag checked and they almost take my point and shoot camera because it can do video and that is against the rules. I am like really every cell phone in the building is recording and you are worried about my point and shoot. Seriously. Oh well I don't take video so I am not worried. But I really have to find out about this. But luckily I don't let it bother me. So the Devils scored first and never looked back. They won the game over the Avalanche 4-1. My rookies came up big! Only down part was two of my veterans were injured with really made my rookies have to step up and they did. It really might be the start of a new era. We have a brand new scoreboard which is huge. And the best part is that when you take a photo off the scoreboard it does not look pixelated. Yea! My son left with our friends to head to a October beer fest while I took his wife home. It was fun. Then when I got home my DH was cooking using a Blue Apron recipe. Chicken sandwiches. He cracked me up. He made some mistakes but still came out awesome. It said toast the bread in the oven for 7-9 mins but he the bread in the broiler and almost burnt them to a crisp. But how nice to have dinner made. Today it is cloudy and raining. My DH took Luther and he will come back wet but happy. Today is watch football and watch the DVR of my Devils game yesterday!

Chris glad the dogs are getting along so well. Poor Scott and Leah camping out in the rain LOL. Hope they came inside. Good luck with grocery shopping. Wow that is cool how well you did at the FP. Have fun scrapping!

Trudy and Rae have a great Thanksgiving! One of my favorite holidays. Great food and family!

Felis grocery shopping is my least favorite so hope it went well!

Jean congrats to those pesky Indians for pulling out that win in 13 innings. It was such a heart pounding game. I hope they get the game in today but our weather is pretty iffy and tomorrow it is rain too. Hope the meeting went well!

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. Have a busy day ahead. I am making a turkey dinner today for the family for Thanksgiving. We'll also give Bailey her birthday gifts. It'll be a nice afternoon/evening with family. It's supposed to be nice out so we'll get outdoors for a walk with Taz too. I took him to the dog park yesterday and he didn't run and play much but he was so happy to be there (he gets all foamy around the mouth when super excited).

I'm going to get some CT work done, do a bit of housecleaning and then start food prep for dinner. I'll be making coleslaw for me to have with turkey/gravy and mashed cheesy cauliflower mash while the family has turkey, dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes, cranberry sauce and cream corn. When Bailey has her birthday cake I'll make a cake in a mug for me.

Chris - hope the kids aren't waterlogged in the backyard :) Sounds like the dogs are getting along better and better. Must be fun to watch.

Nancy - what a hassle for you getting into the game but at least the game was a good one. How nice to have your DH make you dinner. Mine would never do that. In 22 years he has not cooked one meal LOL.

Trudy - hope you have a great Thanksgiving. Enjoy the sunshine today.

It's time to get going, I need to stay focused on my schedule today. Have a great day, everyone.

A normal Sunday with football on TV, but tonight we're hoping the Indians can finish off the Yankees in a sweep! Really surprised that an Amazon order was delivered today. Came from someone in a private car. Strange. But now I have two new genealogist mysteries. Still working away on my 30-day time with German church records though. Yesterday was very nice and our open house got at least two new members of the committee.

Felis, love your idea to have pie as an empathy move for the Canadian Thanksgiving. Hope you do it! Hope it will be back to work for you tomorrow and things going OK.

Chris, did the camping kids get wet? Wonderful that W is fitting in better all the time. How warm does it have to be to run off to the shore with Mom? Maybe you should go in any event. Then it would be a really happy Halloween after.

Nancy, what an exciting Devils game it must have been, but two tries to give you grief? Bummer. Love that DH did dinner. If you're a Jets fan, looks like we're trying to make you happy.

Rae, sounds like a great Thanksgiving day for you and family. Wishing you and Trudy both happy holiday!
