Good afternoon - my Devils lost in a SO 4-3 but at least they scored 3 goals which is 3 more than they scored in the first game LOL. It was a great game opener except that the new owners did not like the song that the Devils played after each goal as the fans chant at the opposing goalie "you suck" So after every goal scored the fan booed. On tweeter no one was understanding why we were so upset. But the opening montage on the big screen has me on it. Just a very very quick "oops missed it" but I took a photo hoping I could later find myself and yep over at the very edge there I am. LOL. It is the small things that make me happy! Now I dont have a home game for two weeks as they are headed to Canada for games. But I do have good news as I am heading with my DH and the Devils fan Club to games in Denver and Phoenix. It should be fun. Seeing the Avalanche will be a new arena for me and then going to Phoenix I will get to see my sister and all her kids and grandkids. My son was helping at the father of one of his friends remove wall paper and then paint. I dont do DYI projects so he had no idea what he was getting into. So after 3 days of 10 hrs days he came home and collapsed. He is so sore. He thought that wall paper just comes off. LOL I guess this might be one line of work he has tried but not enjoyed. OH well. I give him credit for going. They job paid well so that was good. Not much going on this weekend but that is good. Lots of sports on to watch and the weather is nice so I will get in a good walk. Should be the same weatherwise tomorrow. However remnants of hurricane Karen should be coming on Monday into Tuesday.

Chris good luck on the SATs for your son. Enjoy your tea and cookies.

Phylis so sorry your arm is jumpy. I guess if it were me I would only put on the book I needed at the moment until all are on eventually. Hope the Pirates win that series. Been so long since they even made it to the play-offs. Saw they one the second game.

Trudy if everyone else if coming me too. Maybe next year I will plan my Devils trip to include Vancouver and come and see you LOL and try a new batch of wine.

Clara it must be so frustrating and it is for all of us to see that now the Congress has taken the weekend off. Good thing the military does not take the weekend off!

Cynthia glad you are getting so much scrapping done! It always makes me feel so good to get that accomplished.

Have a great day!

Clara...NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! no tattoo!!! what you have to do is imagine what it will look like when you're as old as i am....

Chris, what kind of cookies are you making? take photos. this should be a hoot of a tea party.

Nancy, i love how you've combined hockey and visiting the family!! also, you should have told your son to talk to me before he went for the wallpaper-removing job. i hope NEVER to have to get wallpaper down off a wall EVER again in my life. My bathroom wallpaper take-down experience has put me off wallpaper forever.

Cynthia, Happy Birthday!! your day is almost over, but i hope you had a good one.

Hi, Trudy. I was singing along with The Eagles this morning and thinking of you.

i'm enjoying my "time off," with DH away for the weekend. i'm still in my PJs, am eating ridiculous things for meals and am doing whatever i feel like doing, when i feel like doing it. i do a great SLUG impersonation, when no one is watching....:becky:

enjoy your weekend, Ozies.

Morning ladies... Today my big adventure includes going to the recycle place to drop off my dead microwave oven :bored: !! Hope everyone else has a bit more excitement in their lives!! :becky:

Chris - When you and Cait come to live with me, would you please do some baking ??

Nancy - If you come to a game in Vancouver it is another 1 1/2 ferry boat ride, then a hr drive to come for a visit, but I would love to see you!!

Phylis - Awww how nice that you thought of me while singing to the Eagles!! They always make me smile : Your weekend without your hubby sounds devine!! I would do a great impression of a slug too, what better way to spend the day, then in your PJ's all day, eating and doing anything you want, when you want!!!! :thumb:

Cynthia - How nice to see you here again!! Hope that you are feeling a bit better and that you had a wonderful birthday!!

Ok off to the shower, then a bit of running around for groceries and dropping of my junk!! Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend!!

Good evening all - after dance lessons today, I rode around with my husband as he traveled across the state. I will post pics later, or use them in this months challenge.

good morning - had a very quiet Sat. Got all my photos from my France vacation up loaded to Flickr so I feel they are safe and uploaded by scrap pages to Shutterfly in case I want to make a book. I think I am going to just print the pages myself. Had fun watching hockey. And took a lovely walk around our local park. Today more hockey and football. The trees are starting to turn. My poor husband is sick and we had been going to a friends child's 1st year birthday party but I keep telling him that he cannot go if he is coughing and can't talk. I asked him if he does remember how much parents of young kids dont want sick coming, especially if both parents are working parents. I am not sure he understands this. Men!

Chris hope the tea went well.

Phylis glad your are having fun with your me time!

Trudy shopping for groceries is really my least favorite thing to do hope your shopping went well.

Laurie driving around with your DH sounds like a lovely way to spend the day.

Have a great day!

Hi ladies, super quick for me right now. OMG- I had so much fun at the tea yesterday. Good think I only had to walk myself home cuz I tried lots of different wines there too.
Just about everyone dressed up witchy or steam-punky. My friend posted a group pic of us on FB. We did a Reiki healing, pendulum questions, tea leaf readings. Just super fun.

Now I am off to finish coffee and then get rolling for he day.
xoxoxo!

Morning gals.... I am up at 5am :mmph: Just could not toss and turn anymore!! Watched a really good movie last night "The Frozen Ground" with Nicolas Cage. I actually had never heard of it before, so I thought it would be a dud!! But it actually is one of the best movies I have seen in some time, Who knew??? Based on a true story in Alaska, a great thriller!!! Not much else for me today except figuring out my new microwave and some house work and backyard clean up.

Chris - glad that you had such a fun time at the party!!! Would love to have seen you staggering opps I mean walking home afterwards!!! :becky:

always chatty at the O!!
Hey ladies!!

So, still trying to figure out what I am going to do for my life day. Don't think I'll be getting a tattoo since they aren't free. Sorry Phyllis but I will be getting another one eventually. I love them. LOL!! I see them on older people all the time at work and I still love them, even though they look terrible. It's actually a really big issue in the military right now. They are talking about kicking people out for having tattoos on their arms and stuff. It really upsets my husband. Tattoos are something soldiers can get to memorialize people and events and they do. My brother in law has many due to things that happened in the military...so the issue is that these people who have given so much of themselves are being told they are no longer welcome in the military. I'm interested to see what happens with it. I am hopeful that people who already have tattoos are grandfathered from the new rules. We'll see. It is always something.

It's been a good weekend. The kids camped in the backyard, which they loved. Yesterday was very chill and today was church. Oh, my friend Dave deployed again yesterday so we went and saw him off. It should be a good deployment this time. Nothing too crazy. His deployment required more suits than uniforms which I hope is a good thing.

I hope everyone else has had a good weekend and hopefully everyone has a great week. I keep hearing rumors that many government employees will be sent back to work this week. I am sure hoping so. Still no word on pay but we shall see.

Laurie - those pictures are so cool. I am so fascinated by the Amish. So, what are your thoughts of the Amish Mafia show? I watched it for a few minutes and was amazed at the ridiculousness of it. We always see them when we visit Ohio and I wish my religious beliefs were more in line with theirs because I would totally be Amish. I just love the simplicity of their lives.

Chris - A mourning Tea? The pics on FB look so fun. I need to go back and read what that is all about.

Nancy - that should be so fun to travel with your team. I never realized how important your teams are until I moved away from home. The Seahawks usually suck along with the Mariners but I am a full fledged fan. It's really fun being in a military town too. Nobody is from Fayetteville so everyone is cheering for different teams all over the country and it is all in good fun. One of the most common teams I see around though are the Gators for college football. But I see lots of teams all over. I need a Seahawks and a Mariners jersey soon. I think that's what I should ask for at Christmas. Lol.

Phyllis - I love impersonating a slug when no one is looking. I remember I had the house to myself for 48 hours a few years ago. A friend was trying to talk me into going to a concert and I was hell bent on staying at home and being as bored as I could possibly be for as long as I could be and it was AMAZING!!! Enjoy your lazy time.

Trudy - have fun with your new microwave. I would love a new microwave. I have a ginormous old one. Nothing new planned anytime soon.
