It is almost here, Halloween!!! You might have seen this already if you have been on FB but Gary has done an incredible job with his Boo Frighters. He posted a video of them running at night, hopefully, the link will work if you want to see it:
https://www.facebook.com/gary2/videos/10155417755844616/
I never know if the permission set will work for people other than friends or whatnot.

We almost had a catastrophe with it in the morning. He had it set up and working in the LR, brought the whole band outside to see how they would work "onstage" and it stopped working. Everything was the same, but nothing worked. He was so frustrated and said he was giving up. The kids and I knew better, we have BTDT with him every year that he has been doing this. He brought everything back inside, took a little mental break and was back at it until he got it working again. Then, he has the insanity to tell us that he didn't think he did enough this year. He is crazy.

Caitlyn and her friends made into the city and back home with no problems. Well, one tiny problem but was easily fixed. The bus that they needed to take from here left early so they missed it. But the next bus took them to the right one's next stop so they made it into the PA right on time, and then walked all the way down to the Village, Crazy kids, to be young again :D
I want to wake her up so I can hear all about it, but I am sure she didn't get home until very late so I will be a good mamma and let her sleep.

I don't think I got much of anything done yesterday. I did finish crocheting the spiked dog collars. I had a hard time with the spikes, they were not coming out the way the pattern showed, but then I had to remind myself that they are for dogs!

Today I have to get ready for the Mourning Tea. I just threw on a coat of sheer lime green nail polish. Wings need to be done and I am making the Lime Shortbread Cookies too. maybe I will make an apple pie for dessert as long as I am going to be in the kitchen. I bought the apples 2 weeks ago and they have been sitting in my fridge since then. I will play that by ear.

Hope that you all have a fabulous day! To any lurkers, hope that you have a great day as well, and we all would love to have you say hi!

Nancy- oh my goodness, how fun is that to have a Halloween day at Doggy Day Care! I love hearing that he gets all excited when he goes there. My girls have been all spooky this month with their Halloween bandanas too. Yippee for cut and color!
You are probably right that the house took my $20. No other explanation since the other $20 and $10 were still folded perfectly in my bag.

Trudy- As you can see from up there ^^ I have been having the same kind of days all week. Grr, it is so frustrating that at the end of the day I am lost. I am sorry that you are dealing with that too. but I am really happy to hear that you are sleeping better. Gary woke me last night to tell me that I was snoring. I was on my back, which is really strange b/c I never sleep on my back. I am guessing that I tried to roll over and Jaida was blocking my way :pound:
I slept until 6.30 today which was *nice*! Hope you slept well again too.
I love that spooky tree smiley!

Rae- oh no, you will not have that virus for 4-6 weeks, I will not let you. Here, have some more tea, soup, and some eucalyptus and tea tree essential oils to add to a bath~~~
I would send you energy and stamina too but that is always in short supply here. Did you take my advice better than I did? hahaha!!!! Hope that all of your computers and devices are working together and that you get some time to scrap today. I want to do that too, but my brain is in that mode of staring at the screen blankly.

Jean, Cindy, and to *everyone* (I mean that!!) have a great weekend!!!

good morning - I did not wake up until 8 am - but of course I did not go to bed until midnight as I was listening to the baseball game. Jean must be so happy as Cleveland has a 2-1 games lead. Chicago Blackhawks were playing my Devils and as the coach said the Devils gave the Blackhawks a 4 min power play and my team lost in OT 3-2. Tonight my Devils play the Tampa Bay Lightning. So again I have a chance for a win. Had Luther out for a nice long walk. So now home and will do some scrapping.

Chris I am sure that your MG will get his Boo Fighters working! I loved the video! That had to take a lot of work. So glad that Cait made in and out of NYC. Cant wait to hear how the haunted house went.

Trudy so sorry you did not finish anything. But somedays that just happens! And I am sure that your favorite time of the day is your FaceTime.

Rae please say today you are feeling better. You are not doing the 4-6 week I am totally impressed you walked the dogs while feeling so bad.

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. Was up a few times last night so had a lazy morning, slept a bit later and then just relaxed in my chair with a coffee, some toast and my e-reader. I threw some clothes on and will be sitting at my computer for most of the day now. I'll be watching shows on my laptop, editing a session and will take a break later to get Taz out for a short walk and stretch my legs Need to get my challenge done too.. I'm feeling a little better but still wish I could just crawl into bed for the day but no.....too much to do. My poor hubs is just starting to get sick. His sore throat has gotten worse today so he's going to lay in his chair and rest most of the weekend. So, I'm officially living in the house of sickness :)

Chris - that video is awesome! Love the guitar player with the flashing red eyes. You guys would love our neighbors at the end of the block. They put a big display outside too, have their whole property lit up with purple lights and have a graveyard set up on their lawn. They get great props b/c they work in the movie industry. I don't know them well but have chatted with the wife a few times and I think she is a movie set hairdresser and he is a PA. Glad to hear that Cait made it there and back safely. I bet that was fun!

Trudy - are you sleeping late or are we cross-posting again?

Nancy - sounds like a good day ahead for you. Walking with Luther, a game and scrapping. Enjoy!

I'm loading up on advil and coffee today and am wrapped up in a heavy warm sweater. BTW....good news. Got my tablet hooked up to the computer in the LR. So now I just need to load some digi stuff onto an EHD and I'm all set to scrap there. I might get more scrapping done in the early evenings (once I'm healthy again and not so tired) while I sit in the LR. That will be nice.

Ok ladies, have a wonderful day. I'm signing off now.

I am up early which I guess is a good thing. I have a *lot* to do to get ready for the Mourning Tea today.

We had people coming over on and off all day to see Gary's band all set up outside. probably more people were here for that than the actual trick or treaters. hahahaha!!!! My brother called me, he had seen the video on FB and was running errands and had to come up and see it in person. There went an hour visiting with him. Then neighbors came over. Then IL's (there went another hour) and lastly, Leah's mom (another hour). It makes me so happy to see them complimenting Gary and he eats it up, deservedly. But dang, it put a big crimp in my day. *winks*

I made the lime shortbread cookie dough, put in in the fridge to chill and it is still sitting in there. I finished up the front of my wings, but still need to do that backs of them. I also made up the page that lists the names of the people who have died from Lyme, ALS/Lyme, Suicide, Lyme complications. There was one couple who were a double suicide, both having Lyme. It is so heartbreaking, and the names I got were just collected by one website, there are other out there but some list people who have died while having Lyme but not necessarily due to Lyme. I was trying to get a "real" picture, as best as can be since a lot of this is reported by family members, not Drs since ya know, Chronic Lyme doesn't exist.

Caitlyn had a great time with her friends and teacher at the Ghost Tour. They didn't see anything spooky but the house and the tour were fun. They went to a nice cafe for dessert afterward and her teacher drove them home so they didn't have to take a taxi/bus back home. She loves her teacher and invited her to our Open House. I am getting a lot of people interested in coming which is great and a little bit intimidating. :scared:

Oh, and guess what made my day??? When my neighbors came over in the afternoon, they found a $20 bill in the leaves by my driveways. How crazy-good is that??

Better wrap this up, I need much more coffee and need to get my day rolling along...

Nancy- what a bummer about the Devils losing in OT. Hope they won last night.
yeah, Jean must be happy since the Indians won again last night.:)
I haven't had the dogs out for a walk since my back went out. Gary has been trying to teach jaida how to be off leash in the back yard, but all of the woods keep calling her and she runs off. One time she ran behind the neighbor's house and started to head down the street. The 100% ironic part of that it this is past the spot where she wouldn't walk when I was doing rehab with her. SMH!!!! Silly dog!

Trudy- hope that you had a successful swimsuit shopping trip. *shudders* I think I
would rather do just about anything than swimsuit shop.

Nooooooooooooo!!!! Rae- your hubs cannot have the man-cold. Get him some garlic and soup and tell him he better get well. Quickly. ;)
Glad to hear that you are able to chill for a bit and that all of the devices are working as they should.
Oh wow, if Gary lived on your street he would become best friends with your neighbors and pick their garbage over all of the time. They must have an awesome setup.

hugs to all of you!

good late morning - yea my Devils defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-1. It was an awesome game and to see my team score was so fun. It was Halloween celebration and there were great costumes. But the best was they handed out Devils light up horns to everyone! When the lights were dim it was so cool to see all the red lights in the seats. Our friend brought his son 4 yrs old and he loves hockey. He is so cute! Every time Kyle Palmeiri was on the ice he knew and would tell us. How fun. Now I am watching football from England so weird. Had Luther out and the weather is perfect! The tree are gorgeous and Luther is loving the piles of leaves. Forgot yesterday to say how fun Luther's party at the Barker's Lounge was - well they video streamed on Facebook the dogs having fun. It was fun to see. The big dogs were mostly not dressed up but oh the little dogs were all dressed up. It was great for my DH and son to see the place in action and to see Luther was having fun.

Chris sounds like your day was awesome with all those visitors and with Gary getting his praise. Which he should - it is just amazing how he got it all to work to the music. Lime short bread sound tasty! So glad that Cait had such a good time! Nice of the teacher to drive them back. Enjoy the nice weather!

Trudy swim suit shopping is my nightmare! I would do it online if I could. Hope Costco was not too much of a hassle. Enjoy today!

Rae OMgosh hope your DH does not get too sick. And glad you are relaxing this weekend. My son was watching TWD recap and OMgosh what a story. But just too much blood for me. I get too invested in characters and don't want to see them turned or worse.

Have a great day all.

Good morning, ladies. I fell asleep in my chair last night around 10 and then crawled off to bed around 11 and then slept til 9:30. Woke up throughout the night of course (as I always do) a few times but that was the longest sleep I've had in years. I really needed it. I hope this virus clears up soon. I am tired of coughing, sneezing, headachey, being achy, hot/cold and foggy. So far Darrell has not gotten it full blown so he might get lucky. He's been off work since Thurs so he's had lots of time to rest, take naps and just laze around all wkend. He doesn't go back to work until Tues, so he's enjoying his quiet mini holiday. I'll be working on my 52 Insp. challenge later but other than that, I'll be editing and watching shows on my laptop. I want to get #3 done by tomorrow night and then will have just one more to edit and be done. Tonight I'll be watching TWD and hope this episode is a little lighter than that last episode, that was too much.

Chris - those cookies sound good. I get GF lime, white chocolate, shortbread cookies and they are so good. I never would have thought that combination would work so well together. Sounds like many are admiring Gary's Halloween setup. He deserves to feel proud. That is so cool! Isn't that amazing about your $20 being found?

Trudy - good luck on the swimsuit buying. I just can't bring myself to buy a new one after the 20 lbs I gained over the last few years. ugh.

Nancy - how fun to see the dogs in their costumes. Taz doesn't seem to care about the leaves at all but my retriever, Sandy, loved autumn and would carefully root thru all the leaves, selecting only the best ones to gingerly carry by the stem in her mouth, to bring into the kitchen, to chew on. She would do this a few times every day until the leaves stopped falling off the trees. At the park, she would take off at a gallop to race through piles of leaves, loving the crunch they made. It's so wonderful that each dog has their own quirks, their own personality and preferences.

This morning Taz was at the window madly barking in his big boy howl so we figured the bears were out. Yep, there were two of them, in the front yard, then they climbed on and off our fence, in and out of our yard and next door. They couldn't get the lids off our garbage cans but they sure tried. They did succeed in getting into the neighbor's garbage and pulled it out regardless of the bear lock on it. They hung around for about 20 minutes and then finally wandered off. My hubs and I marveled at how nimble they are, they can balance on the top of a fence, turn completely around without falling and walk along the top. Luckily the fence held, b/c last year the fence collapsed under their weight as they did this. The new fence is holding up much better.

Well, almost lunch time here, so I'd better shower, get dressed and get to work. Have a great day, everyone.

Just want to say that Chris is right, we are VERY happy having the Indians up 3-1 in the World Series. Holding our breath to get that 4th win.

Chris, so nice the $20 was found! What a nice time for Gary getting his due praise for the Boo Frighters. The open house will turn out to be great too I'm sure.

Nancy, glad the Devils came back to win after that OT loss. Luther is a lucky dog to have such a good party.

Rae, oh my I hope you get better soon. And that DH doesn't get any worse. I'm just amazed by your bear story!

Key Lime, welcome back to the O!

Hope everyone is having a happy Halloween time.
