Ugh... it is gonna be a day... It will all turn out fine in the end but nothing is going to be easy, I think.

Today is my IL's 50th-anniversary party. And we are having a bit of a Nor'easter going on, remnants from Hurricane Willa. I feel terribly for them, they have had a few people already cancel because of traveling in this weather. It is also the town's rabies clinic and Ray and J are due for that. Gary told me a couple of days ago that he would be able to take them both so I could stay here and get ready for the party. But he has been awake all morning throwing up. Lyme has damaged something in either his stomach or in the area of his brain that causes constant nausea. This morning, his sugar was almost 400 (normal should be around 100, give or take) which also makes him nauseous. This is his week on Tindamax and I *know* how awful that makes him feel. I do *not* miss that Rx at all.

I am going to have wake Scott up in a bit and see if he will come with me to take the girls over to wait in the pouring rain and mud for their shots.
We are supposed to leave here by 11 at the latest. I have no idea who is driving, how many cars, and I doubt that Gary is going to be able to drive down even for an hour.:(

Yesterday I tried on Cait's dress and I think it will look cute. It is a grey sweater dress and I have black tights and black boots to wear. I threw a coat of gray nail polish on my shirt, stubby, bitten to the quick nails. Hopefully, I am going to be ready for everything today.
We finished watching Hill House yesterday too. Creepy and sad.

Better get going, I should get everything ready so when I come back all I do is shower and go.

good morning - well it is a sucking day as the nor'easter goes through. We have a game at noon at the Rock so I am going to hate walking from the parking lot. They had better win! LOL My DH is going with me and it is good game for him as he likes the Florida Panthers. Luther is not in a mood to walk, he puts his head out the doggie door and says nope and comes back in. Too funny. Smart dog. Luther made it to facebook as the Barker Lounge put up a video of the dogs in his group and sure enough there he was. It was fun to see all the dogs in his group. He is always happy to go but he is equally glad to have us show up and take him home. My son was a pain. He and Luther started playing at 12:30 am. Really and I just could not go back to sleep. But I listened to the world series as they played the longest game in world series history both in time played and in innings played. It went to the bottom of the 18th inning before the Dodgers hit a walk off winning home run. Like they played 2 games in one day and they have to come back tonight at 8pm and play all over again.

Chris hope you don't have to wait to long for the rabies shots. I hope one of the kids help. Maybe the line will be shorted as who wants to wait in the rain. Have fun at the party for your ILs.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

I watched the world series game to the end though DH went to bed after the 14th inning. I didn't think I'd make past 18, but as Nancy said, the Dodgers won it in the bottom of the 18th inning. Crazy. It went over seven hours. Glad we don't have the storm, but last night we began a rainy period, though with light rain, that will probably last to Tuesday.

Chris, what a shame about the weather for the IL's party! Hope you get the dogs their shots and go have a nice time.

Nancy, hope you made it into the Rock (and will get back out) without getting too wet. And for sure hope the Devils win!

I did plan on coming back here yesterday to catch up on Friday's posts but as I had predicted, it was a day LOL
Scott and I left here a little before 9 and were back in about 45 minutes. The easy part was driving there, it is less than 5 minutes from my house. But I had to park on the street and then walk about 1/4 mile up a hill to the town DPW garage, with a hundred of people and dogs (over 350 vaccinations done in 3 hours by my amazing vet!) in 38* drenching rain. By the time we got back to the car, we were soaked to the skin. J hates shots and really gave me a hard time staying still, but we did it. Ray was easy. W was insane when we left the house b/c she thought we were going for a walk and was doing her kangaroo bouncing while I was struggling to get the other 2 out of the door. (That reminds me, I drove Cait's car and I have to clean out all of the mud and wet fur in the back seat from them.)

At least I had everything ready for me to wear so I wasn't flipping out in a panic when I got back. The outfit that Cait was going to wear was too cold so she went through that on her own. *wink*

We got there and the party was really nice, my SIL is crazy with beautifully she put everything together. The 4 g-kids did their roast and that was really funny. They are all such characters!

And of course, in the midst of all of this is more tragedy and hatred in America. I am sincerely and deeply worried about the foundations of what it is supposed to be American. :(

W is whining so I need to bring her outside. xoxoxo!!!

This morning I think all of us are at a loss of words for what is happening with all the hatred in the US. I think that having the leaders of my country take no responsibility for encouraging these mass shootings is the thing that makes me the most sad. I have convinced my son to vote. For him the deciding thing is health care. As he has a preexisting condition he does not want to lose the health care benefits. He said why should he vote and I explained and now he will even if I have to drive him there. He does not watch the news so he had not even heard about the tragedy in Pittsburgh. I am not even sure if he is shocked any more. What a sad thing that is. But one still has to go on with ones life. So I was happy as my Devils defeated the Florida Panthers 3-2. My top line of Hischier, Hall and Palmieri were fantastic. Palmieri scored the first goal and there was about a 10 min delay while they determined if there was goalie interference. From the replays they showed us it was hard to tell whether Palmieri or their goalie initiated contact. When I watched the game at home it was clear that the goalie made the first save and the puck hit Palmieri and it just deflected into the goal. Came home and watched the AZ Coyotes defeat the Tampa Bay Lightning 7-1. Tampa is the Devils next opponent. Tampa had their back up goalie in which will probably not happen for the Devils. Dodgers lost to Red Sox shame on the Dodgers who had a 4-0 lead. Today I am going to a Taylor Hall autograph signing with friends so that makes me happy. Then home to watch more hockey LOL.

Chris so glad that the party was a success! I bet the grandkids were perfect. Congrats on getting the dogs their shots. Just think 3 years until you have to do it again. Today should be a much nice weather day! Luckily when we went to the game the rain was more a drizzle than an full rain storm.

Jean it was a crazy 18 inning game and then for the Dodgers to blow it last night. It was crazy leaving the Rock after the game. We usually take one road but you could see that is was backing up so my DH made a spur of the moment decision and took the exit. Well it was easy to get home as we knew the highways so we never felt lost and we made it home about as fast as we normally do. It was also cool because we traveled on roads that we have been on only not the sections we were on yesterday. It was cool to be able to look at our maps on our phones and know where to go without Waze or GPS telling us how to get home. I feel like my old school map skills are still working.

Waving to all!

Good morning, ladies. We had a busy day yesterday. We got the trailer closed down, grabbed some groceries and got home by dinner time. We were both sore and tired so just relaxed and watched tv last night and went to bed early. Today I'm getting desk work done (before and after going to see B today). A busy day ahead so I'll be off the computer most of the day.

Chris - your poor G. Hope he is soon feeling better. Do any essential oils or spices help his nausea? If you have ginger oil, rub that on his stomach. I haven't tried it but I've heard it helps. I just ordered ginger to have on hand for that reason.

Nancy - sounds like a sports filled wkend for you....your favorite kind :)

Jean - That's a long game, I never would have lasted that long LOL. Our rain has come too. We got a lot of days of rain ahead now.

Hope you all are having a good wkend. I'm getting off the computer now so I can get some work done before heading out to see B.
