I am shocked that it is almost 8 am. Not because I was able to sleep in, never that :nono: It is so darn dark out there. I need to see some sun. My light therapy is just.not.the.same.

Let's see, what did I do yesterday? I was able to put in an order at the FP and the volunteer there was super sweet and I was able to get PB and coffee and they also had ground turkey, eggs, butter. I hate so much that I need to do this and I wish I was the one who was donating not being the donate-ee. She was telling me about the coat drive the church is having and my brain started to click through my closet to see if I had anything to donate. Then it dawned on me:-- *I* was the intended recipient.

I started to scrap a page and the kit is phenomenal, it is my lack of creativity ATM that is holding me back. I had to shut it down and will start fresh today.
We are back to a steady stream of COVID cases in my town, just a few each day but in the last week, we had a 2 yo and a 9 yo test positive. How in the world as a parent do you care for a 2 yo? I cannot imagine how you can protect yourself when your baby is sick, even if not symptomatic. I would not be able to *not* cuddle and hold my little ones. Breaks my heart.

My mom's cardiologist appt went well, he is pleased with her kidney function and all of her vitals. Her heart is her heart and that isn't going to change. He told her no Thanksgiving unless it was outside.
On a bright note, my niece called Caitlyn when she was downstairs eating her lunch and I was in the kitchen. Listening to the two of them laughing and talking rats made me very happy. My niece wants to "see" all of the cousins for Christmas and loved Cait's idea of us driving to see everyone from the car. It will be good to do that, drop off gifts and cookies, throw Reindeer Food on their lawns LOL I really, really think that might be a good option for us. I should ask Caitlyn to make us Christmas masks too, maybe even decorate the car. It won't be the same but it can work.
Next week we are having our Halloween party here, same deal as the Theme Night but Leah will be here and we might have some Trick or Treaters. We are just going to put up a table in the driveway with some candy on a tray. If we get kids, great, if not we have candy for ourselves.

Ok, I think I have blabbered on enough today.
Sending everyone BIG hugs! ::grouphug

Betty Jo- I always woke up early since I had no choice as a student (My college felt that all Education Major classes had to start at 8 am since that is when schools begin their days) Then as a teacher, I had to be up early, as a parent I *HAD* to get coffee before my own little bundles of energy woke up. Now it doesn't seem to matter when I go to bed, my body decides that 4 am is the time it has to wake up. I usually am in bed around 9 and I will read a bit before I go to sleep. Cheryl -- she is the opposite of us!
Welcome to the Cheery O Team!

Kay- I wish that the computer would stop giving you issues. I am glad that you are able to transfer kits and LOs to EDHs/DVDs at least. What a relief that the monitor issue was fixed.
I am so sorry that you won't be able to go to any family gatherings either for the holidays. To say that I am angry at the govt's response to this is an understatement. Please take good care of yourself and be safe. The "factor" at Leah's family was that her Aunt works in a school and even though the gathering was outside and masked, Scott didn't feel comfortable with that exposure. Gary and Cait didn't either. But she owns;t be there and the 3 other people all work from home so he thinks it will be ok to be there today. It just puts everyone in such a difficult position. :(

Rae- HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't see that pop up on FB... Was I even on FB yesterday?
Anyway, you deserve a day of slacking! Good thinking to coerce-- I mean *suggest* selfies with Jen. How fun! What movie did you watch?
We go through so darn much PB here too. Gray and Scott eat it out of the jar like that too.

Trudy- How was swimming, still feeling safe there? Glad that you are able to get out and about and I hope that it continues! Yeah, it is really hard on everyone- Scott's best friend doesn't understand the health risks that we have here and it puts a lot of pressure on him. But Leah's family is on the same page, especially since her grandma is 94.
Overall it sucks.

Wishing everyone a wonderful day!!

Good morning, had a great night with Jen, ate tons of food, yummy gluten free cake and watched Will Smith in "Bright" which we enjoyed. Today is a bit of everything, groceries (D will push cart and carry stuff), grab lunch (I am going to splurge on fries and mozza sticks) and we'll binge some shows. I need to stretch, lay down with heating pad, do some light chores around the house and will organize some winter clothes. Might get some scrapping done later too.

Chris - glad your mom is doing better. The xmas plan sounds good. We'll get B for Xmas hopefully but we won't see the rest of the family.

I'm getting out of the chair (only allowed to kneel on my chair for 20 minutes at a time but I push it to 30-40 min b/c that 20 minutes flies by. I do get up for a few seconds stretch though during that time, so that's my compromise (what I tell physio).

Have a good day. BFN

Chris - Thanks so much for the welcome to the Cheery O Team. (I keep typing Cherry O! Oh well, I love cherries.) I'm really enjoying learning the ropes. Oh, I see, your body has adjusted to getting up early through the years.

Rae - Sounds like a fun kind of day.

I spent most of today getting ready for a photo day out with my son tomorrow, and I'll be staying with my two granddaughters while my son and daughter-in-love go away Monday and Tuesday for their wedding anniversary. While getting ready, a dear friend contacted me that her page was being scraplifted at another site. So, I wanted to participate since it was her page. I worked for hours on a fall page, I had never done a scraplift before, and it simply wouldn't come together. I finally chucked it and started over, with baby blue colors and butterflies, and it just fell together like magic! When will I ever learn to let inspiration lead, rather than what I think I'm "supposed" to do?! I worked right through lunch, so now I'm hungry, so I will have an early dinner. ♥

Good morning and happy Sunday. I realize that I was spoiled the past few days with the temps being warmer. They dropped quite a bit last night and now I am back to shivering.
PSA for the day: Even though it is colder, be aware that ticks are still active. Gary had one embedded in his leg last night. He saved it and will see if the LLMD wants to send it out for testing. Even though he is on abx already, if any specific coinfections show up she might be able to better tailor the med regimen. Again.
I know that I need to be more careful using the tick spray this time of year. I douse myself with it in the spring and summer but unless I am specifically planning on being outside for more than a few minutes, I will be inconsistent with it.

I am feeling better this morning, for now at least. I slept well until 4 and then after I fell back asleep I had a nightmare of Caitlyn climbing a huge tree and then falling out of it, onto the street. That had my heart pounding. Yikes. The strange thing is that she wouldn't climb a tree in the first place. Scott is the one who lives in trees. :D
On second thought, if Cait saw a squirrel injured in a tree, yes she might climb it to get it down safely haha!!

Not much happened yesterday- again. I worked on the same scrap page for another hour and I am still unhappy with it. I wish I knew why and how to make it look right to me. One issue that I have is that I have taken so few photos this year. I have a harder time scrapping with images from other people or Pixabay since I don't have a connection. Add in my lack of brainpower and my entire scrap routine is shot. I am using a really sweet photo of Titania and Cordelia but it is making me miss the Tat Rat.

Scott had a really nice visit with Leah's family, there were only four people and they are all extremely careful. Leah's cousin's wife is a neuroscientist and works in a lab with brain tissue and is used to wearing PPE. They didn't even eat/drink so no one had to take a mask off for even a bit. I am glad that he was able to do that, I know it meant a lot to Leah too.

Not much happening here today, I am going to work on the Halloween party planning and food shopping list. I want to finish the scrap page today too. Dinner is Challah Bread French Bread in the crockpot. I got 2 huge loaves of Challah from the FP so this will be yummy and the house is going to smell so good!

Hoping that all of you have a fantastic and relaxing day!

Rae- I hope that you didn't overdo it yesterday because that sounds like you had a lot of things planned. I also hope that your stomach was ok with your splurge items. French Fries and Mozz sticks are Caitlyn's favorite diner items. I think that is the only thing that she misses about Brendan at this point, going to the diner on dates. *G*
ahem.... don't push yourself with too much time, even if you are stretching (yes, pot/kettle- I know! heh!)

Betty Jo- I feel bad that I am not a good CO ATM, but things are quiet in the Posting Team for now. Just wait until we get geared up for the holidays here. But please let me know if you need help.
Enjoy the time with the grands!!
I know exactly what you mean about the scrap inspiration. I have chucked quite a few pages in my day... Glad you are happy with the results!

Morning ladies... It is very chilly here this morning brrrr!! However the sky is clear and hopefully the sun will warm things up a bit! Yesterday I was MIA as DH and I took a trip to Victoria and met up with his Sister to deliver her meat to her. The wind was blowing and man it was cold!! We huddled between our two cars and had a nice social distant visit. Then DH and I headed to the "Hudson Bay Store" as they were having their "Bay Days" Sale and we picked up some new king size pillows and flannel sheets for our bed. We got a great deal on everything 60% off Hooray!! I also picked up some pillow protection covers, so hopefully it will help to make these ones last a bit longer. Then a trip to Costco to stock up on a few things, now our freezer is full and the so is the pantry  Tonight DH is going to BBQ us some steaks , we can hardly wait to try the beef that we got! I will do some :washing: and other household cleaning today and then I hope to finish off another Calendar page.

Chris - I have chucked quite a few pages over the years too, but you are right it seems hard to scrap this year. Not enough photos have been taken and I know I really should be documenting this dam Pandemic for the family. One day one of their kids will ask about it and it would be great to have something that showed we lived through it! Glad to hear that Scott had a nice visit with Leah's family! Yikes that dream about Caitlyn must have made your heart skip a beat!! I hate dreams like that when someone you love gets terribly hurt! I sometimes have dreams that Heather is stuck outside somewhere and is unable to get herself to the house. Ugh!! Hope you manage to get your scrapping mojo back today!

Rae - Love your new AVI!! Hope you had a great night of snacking on your yummy treats and I hope that your stomach does not give you grief about it. I know that mine sure would LOL. I need to do a cleanse or something as I have gained a few Covid pounds! I am hoping that getting more active with hiking and swimming will help me drop what I have gained. Hope that your back is feeling better each day!

Betty Jo - Hope you are finding your way around ok and so happy that your scraplift page came together so well! Its great when it magically happens like that! It has not happened for me in quite some time, so I am due LOL.

Ok off to get breakfast for my DH and I think I will grab another cup of coffee before heading to the shower. Have a wonderful Sunday everyone!

Morning, all. Slept in until after 8 AM today. It is cloudy so not much light in the bedroom to wake me up. Getting ready to hunker down for the next few days... rain, snow and freezing temps are on the way either late today or tonight and lasting until Wed. The storm was predicted for Tues... but now is coming in earlier. When I saw the forecast late yesterday afternoon, I decided to make a run to the grocery store. Was pleasantly surprised that there weren't many shoppers and no waiting in line to check-out. Got several things I needed then saw some Lysol Laundry Sanitizer that has been almost impossible to get. DD#1 uses it for her DH's scrubs/lab coats and was almost out. I called her while there to make sure she still needed it. So glad to find it for her. Need to change the controls from A/C over to heat. Got the sheets on the bed changed and added the down comforter so ready for the cold nights that are coming. Going to sort the :washing: and get it done today. Was going to pick up meds at the base on Monday but that is now on hold until after the storm is over.

Chris, that must have been a really scary dream about Cait falling out of the tree. Glad it was just a dream not RL... Sounds like Leah's family gathering was okay and they were very careful.

Rae, I love your new avatar! Do take it easy and let your DH help out. Having suffered with a bad back for many years, I understand what you are dealing with. Listen to your PT person and don't over-stress. <<< hugs >>>

Betty Jo, had to LOL over the Cheery Os vx Cherry Os as I did the same in the beginning. Yeah, I love cherrys, too. Hear you about scraplifting pages... sometimes they just fall into place once you find the right collection. Glad it came together for you - and for your friend.

Trudy, sounds like winter weather has hit your area already. Glad you were able to meet with SiL. Wow.. great buys and at a bargain price! Wow.. steak sounds so good - may have to dig one out for me for supper. Love my GF tabletop grill so I can stay warm inside while the steak cooks.

Off to get the laundry started. Have a good day and stay warm.

Good afternoon, ladies.

Chris - I laughed when you said not to overdo it LOL. I know you never take your own advice :)

Trudy - yep, me too, gained a few lbs in April/June but then stabilized since then. I know I'll drop a few lbs over the winter but slowly b/c I can't exercise right now b/c of my back and was told I can never jog again unfortunately. But I am going to work with weights when I am given the OK by physio.

Kay - glad you like my new avi, took a few selfies this wkend as I haven't updated in quite awhile. I was in denial for many years but this latest back injury let me know I need to be much more proactive with my stretching and strengthening and make sure I don't overdo it.

Did not overdo it yesterday, ate all my goodies and didn't get sick :) Today I'm scrapping. I'm going to be on Karen's team here so will enjoy filling up the gallery again with my LOs. I'm still in jammies but soon will shower, eat lunch and lay on mat with heat and binge watch some shows. Lazy day.

Hello lovelies. I'm not very happy. Just found out that Braden's GF's (sort of) mom tested positive for Covid. Can we not get away from this? His GF is going to get tested tomorrow. If I have to do "drive-by's" from my GK's - I don't think I can stand it. We're wrestling with the 14 day quarantine!!! He HAS been with his GF in the last week!!
