For real, nothing much changes. :D

Did you all have a lovely Friday? The weather was really nice, not that I enjoyed it other than driving back and forth to the hospital for the mammo. But the trees are beautiful on some of the mountain roads. Sunlight peeking through the yellow/orange leaves- very pretty.
Unfortunately, I was just stressed enough to not fully appreciate it. Caitlyn hit a pole/stanchion getting gas on her way to work and did a decent job on her front bumper/wheel well. She was able to do her meetings from home but now we have to figure out how/when to get her car in the shop. She is going to take mine for the next few days, I won't need it until Wed but the insurance estimate won't be in the shop until Monday. Blergh.
Oh well, not much you can do

I ended up cleaning the house a little when I got home, I finally packed the rest of the party stuff and Gary is going to help me get it in the attic. I am off to the FP this morning and not sure what is on the list for the afternoon. Caitlyn and I were going to check out a local dress shop that has a small selection of wedding dresses. But her 2nd interview is set for Monday morning and she wants to prep for that. It's a 3-hour interview. First with the boss's boss, then her boss, then she makes a presentation to a small group of people she would be working with. It ends with a Q&A on her advising "styles."

That's it here
Have fun today

@Cherylndesigns I loooooove Daisy!! I want to pet her, she always looks soft, and that tail!! ♥
You are so lucky to have a friendly Dr and relatable too. LOL that he's a celeb! Save those Rx forms, his signature might be worth something someday! haha!
Scott's pretty stoked about the benefits too. I never worked a job with benefits, never worked a job with paid time or sick days. Daycare teachers really get short ends of the salary/perks stick.
That's fab news that U Arkansaw is good for law school too! From what you say, he seems like he would be a fantastic lawyer! Blah blah blah LOL!

@bcgal00 Woo hoo, how was the concert!!!! Hope you are relaxing and enjoying yourself!

@tanteva Good luck with your trip and research.
You deserved a day to be lazy- but now-- are you packed yet? *G*

@LSlycord Your road trip sounds incredible!! How nice to be able to see family. haha about how Sydney is checking in!

Better get going, I am going to see if I can switch my grocery pick-up to Tuesday so I have a car (Scott and Caitlyn are both off of work so I should have a car available)

Finished food for John though. Don't think I'm gonna pack much, we're only gone a few days, and no fancy plans. Will go upstairs now and throw some stuff in a bag. Then make us a simple pizza for dinner. And then some laziness in front of the TV before sleeping.

Tomorrow morning I'll make a couple of sandwiches, make some coffee, and then we're off. 6 hr drive.

I trust you all to create mayhem while I'm gone!

Quick pop in and out. Nerve in neck still a problem but staying off the computer has helped somewhat. Finally turned on the heat and added the down comforter to the bed... getting down into the low 40's at night. Cold front moving in tomorrow night - may have snow in the mountains and it may get down here in the valley. Got the insulated covers on the outside faucets and put the hoses away.

Took the 'new' watch with dead battery back to the Base Exchange yesterday for a refund (4 days before deadline on it). Found 2 more watches with dead batteries so gave up looking for a watch there. Shopped at commissary.... YIKES!!! prices are up on everything!! Need to repackage meat to go into freezer - too tired to do it yesterday. Mainly reading and resting... and avoiding stressing the right arm while still keeping it mobile. Not sure when I will be back to scrapping.... I really miss it. Got to close this out as the arm is tingling!!! Thinking of you all.

Hello my lovelies.

I didn't forget about you all. LOL Got up late and haven't been very productive since I got up.

Chris @faerywings that stinks about Cait hitting that pole! I did a similar thing on the side of my car - misjudged where a pole was (in front of the gas tank) and did a number along the side of my car. That stinks - all the bs you have to go through is the worst! You can't just take cars in and get them fixed anymore. I was SO ticked off at myself the day I did that! I know how she feels! Yes, Scott is very lucky to have gotten all of those perks - that's hard to get these days, or like you said, you never got them. A lot of people don't. Mainly, they don't want to give anybody health insurance now.

Yes, we have the cutest dog - you would never stop petting Daisy if you were able to visit. Isn't that tail the cutest??? She definitely has a "doodle tail". She's a "parti-doodle" part black/part white and is a Labradoodle. She's very unique looking. I didn't know parti-doodles were "a thing" until I joined a Labradoodle Group on FB. I guess they're not too common. Daisy was a gift - one of the best gifts ever. I KNEW you'd love that picture!

Braden is the president of the debate club, and they are really good. He's always been a "debater" since he was a little kid. I used to tell him that his "debating" was going to serve him well when he grew up, but I wasn't going to debate with him. I still tease hm about that.

Kay @BrightEyes it's so good to see you popping in here! Take it easy and rest - stay off the computer. HUGS

Happy weekend!

It's late this morning, I was able to sleep past 6 am somehow. I think it's because it is so dark out there, which makes it easier for my brain to override the "my back hurts/gotta get up and move" for the "it's the middle of the night/go back to sleep" part.
Two more months and the days will get longer again, I need to start using my light therapy lamp. Cheryl, you still have yours handy?
Dust it off- we are gonna need them! :D

I asked Cait if she wanted to go to the FP with me and she was like-- NO WAY in H***! Totally expected and acceptable. I was happy-- brought home coffee, dog food, and donuts! I also got some of the basics like tissues and TP. But the coffee et al -- they always make me happy. The wedding dress shop was appt only which was a bummer. We looked up some other places but no one was open for walk-ins unless we went to David's Bridal. That was not going to be a positive experience for her. Too "much" off choices and people and I know she will be 100% overwhelmed. She made an appt for Tuesday at a place near my mom's house and my mom will join us. I picked out my bridesmaids there many (many many) years ago. *G*

Not much happening here, I was thinking I would start raking leaves but looks like it is going to rain.
Have a wonderful day!

@tanteva That's how I pack too- I start out very organized, then I keep shoving more and more stuff into the bag. Have a wonderful and safe trip!!! Did you pack enough snacks for the road?

@BrightEyes It's sooo good to see you even if it is just for a few sentences. It's a relief to know that you are starting to feel better but don't push yourself. BTDT with pinched nerves and sciatica.
Batteries are crazy expensive! Gary needs a specific lithium battery for his insulin pump-$25 for a 4-pack. I thought I would see if they were less expensive at Amazon--nope that is the going rate.
Oh, I reread your post- the food was expensive-- well, yup, I agree with that too! Eggs and coffee are starting to come down in price which is a relief.
Hope that you are healed soon, I can't imagine how hard it is for you-- you scrap a million LOs a day. To go from that to none has to be a strange feeling.

@Cherylndesigns You deserve a lazy day occasionally. You are almost always on the run with someone in the family :)
I would definitely sit on the floor and snuggle with Daisy the entire time I was visiting you. I can pet dogs and "socialize" at the same time. I have lots of practice. LOL
Cars and stanchions are the curses of being short!! I did the same thing with one at an ATM with my first car. I needed to get super close to use the drive-up window, couldn't see it over the hood, and scraped all along the side of my car.
I can totally see Braden as Pres of the Debate Club!

hugs!

Good morning ladies. Got home late yesterday afternoon but was busy with unpacking, getting the dogs and giving them lots of love and attention and then sat in the hot tub for awhile before a late dinner and early bed. Poor Bella has kennel cough so she has to be watched, not to overdo the energy level or barking b/c that will get her coughing and choking which leads to vomiting. All the dogs were so happy to be home and we gave Bella rubs and hubs every time she got too excited when the dogs were playing, that calmed her down and she was able to eat/drink and play a little bit without any problems. Remi was a wigglebutt all night and slept glued to the side of my head LOL. Taz was exhausted (probably from watching over the pups and keeping them in line LOL) so he slept a lot when he got home.

The concert was amazing. I can't even put it into words. We all lost at the casino...ugh...but that is to be expected. I found two hiking boots, one is like a hightop heavy duty runner and the other is skechers suede with thick sole. Both are awesome. Then I found a big fluffy blue hoodie jacket that I could not pass up. I bought 3 Xmas gifts for D and some kitchen Xmas decorations.

We sure didn't like the traffic and over-crowding. We were so glad to leave Vancouver behind and head home.

I'm heading out for the day on a photo walk with a friend and then later we'll watch a movie and order in dinner.

Have to go get ready to head out. I'll check in later. HAGD

(Photo of Vadstena Castle from 16th century.)

Vadstena is just as beautiful and just as magical even though it's dull and gray. The hotel had upgraded our room to a bigger one than our budget/cheap room. Probably to not have to heat up the bigger house, but only this one room. This room has it's own entry, about twice the size of the room we usually get. Tonight we are the only guests at the hotel. Luxury!

Just had dinner at a restaurant. F€£$ everything is expensive! But it was yummy. Ought to be, since we payed about as much for that dinner, as I would for a normal week's groceries.

Now it's 5pm, and we will just relax at the hotel. A bit rainy so no evening walk along the lake tonight. Trying to get to bed early, tomorrow it's genealogy all day.

Good morning.
It's warm here, but the wind is terrible. We live on the top of a hill and it blows through here like crazy. It blew both of our outdoor chair cushions away yesterday. I put my sloggers on and went out to find them. One of them had blown clear down into the woods. Good thing I had my boots on because I was able to retrieve them both and bring them inside.

Chris @faerywings I have my light handy and ready to pop on. I was feeling a little "down" yesterday and didn't even think about the light. Thanks for the reminder. I just plugged mine in - that's probably just what I need. I don't know if I told you but Adrienne and Ava have been gone, too - that's not helping. They flew up to Michigan to see my grandson Jordan and my great-granddaughter, Kinleigh. They invited me but when and if I spend all that money to fly, it will be to Florida to see Steph and Asher.. It's so weird for them to be gone, though. They'll be home late tonight. Braden did come down last night to visit. Yes, can't you totally see him debating??? Ava texted me last night that they were having fun but were ready to come home. LOL

Rae @bcgal00 your boots and jacket sound great. I love my walking shoes - yours sound like mine -- kind of look like Sketchers, but they're Gritton walking shoes. I'm on my second pair. I wear mine all the time instead of tennis shoes. They have a velcro strap across the back and they're super comfortable.

Happy Sunday to everybody.
