Whoa, baby! The weekend already?? Or is it more like is has felt like weekend all week? I can't tell.
Wednesday was a beautiful day off. Then Thursday was a not so beautiful day off. I was planning on cleaning yesterday, but that didn't happen since my neighbor didn't need me and it was probably smart to no push it. So I started pulling everything out of my supply closet, started making lists of what I need to order. My DR table is covered with clays, butters, exfoliants.

Today I have to pull out the bottles and jars and caps and pumps. That is not what I am looking forward to at all. That involves a lot of counting and numbers are *not* my friend. ;)

I also want to scrap. I am working on a LO for a Nov. challenge and cannot remember how to use the Pen/Text on a Path. I finally get it to work, but it is purely accidental and can't repeat it. I could just look it up, but that would make too much sense. ha!!!

Hope that all of you have a wonderful Saturday!

Trudy- I hope that your back allowed you sleep late today. You know what it really weird, the last two nights, I slept wonderfully. I woke up in very little pain. Then I move around and my back starts hurting again. What a reversal of how I usually feel.
How is the weather out by you? We have your weather now, cool, windy and rainy. No yard work for us.
A trip to Mexico... that sounds wonderful!!! (Much nicer than Alaska in my summer-girl opinion LOL) My IL's travel a lot, Scotland, Ireland, Italy, France- I would love to do trips like that. Man, what am I saying? I would love to go anywhere at this point! :rofl:wherever you and your Gary decide to go, I am sure you will have a great time.
I made the appt for my hair, Nov 3 yay!!! Now I have 2 weeks to figure out what kind of cut/color I want. If my back is not better by Monday, I am going to have to think about the appt with the chiropractor.
What a mess, literally and figuratively, with your oven. My mom had a wall oven too and was so happy to get rid of it when they had their kitchen redone, same reasons as yours. $$$!

Bwuahahahha!!!! Rae- that foaming mouth sounds 100% like Ravyn. The last hike we went on, she was foaming so much and it was dripping down her face that she looked like my kids when they would take bubble baths and make Santa beards.
Never thought of it as a lab trait, but that is what she is too. :high5: to Jen - that is great about the table!
I do not understand the way TV shows are renewed. I liked American Gothic too. And yet-- Scorpion is still on. Gary still watches it, but I refuse too. He says that each episode is even more ridiculous than the last. SMH. Are you still watching The Good Place?

Nancy- great news for Luther! Hopefully, you won't have to go back until his next check up. That's so funny about him not wanting to leave where he smelled the other dog.
The roads are the pits and the gas tax will get used for something else LOL
Truth!!!

Jean- I was enjoying the warm weather too, and now have to hope that we get a few more Indian Summer kind of days, but am not that hopeful. OTOH- the records for warm temps are getting smashed every month, so who knows?
I hope that all of your research leads you to lots of new information.

xoxoxo!

good morning - well Luther and I went for a good walk this morning once the rain stopped and before the wind and rain start up again. We saw few people out walking. I had to put on a warm coat and glad I did. One nice person stopped to let us cross one of the busier streets and then yelled out love your dog! That is always fun! Today is another home Devils game so that is exciting. My DH is going to be my partner tonight. Otherwise I am just going to scrap.

Chris I liked your idea of having a home party instead of going to a craft fair. Save the money for the table and just have friends and neighbors. Hope your counting goes well. And yes not yard work with this wind.

Trudy so sorry about your oven. Yes your DH will have to clean if not will to invest in a new one. A trip to the heat in the winter sounds like a perfect trip! Hope your back does well if you are yard cleaning.

Rae foaming at the mouth is pretty funny. Luther is the messiest drinker and drips everywhere but does not foam when running. Never knew that about Labs. Have a great birthday weekend!

Jean hope the research goes well!

Have a great day all!

Morning O-zies!! Very foggy here this morning, can hardly see across the street! Neighbours dogs are barking their heads off so I am sure that my DH will be getting up right away and not in a good mood!! I am planning on starting my calendars today, its a quiet weekend with not much else to do so it should be a good time to get going on them. The only other thing I would like to do this weekend is maybe attend the home show in town and see what is new out there and dream of a new kitchen makeover!! :becky: One that would not involve a wall oven!!

Chris - Isn't it weird that your back is fine while you are in bed, but oh what a good thing too as you are at least getting a better nights sleep!! Our weather is typical for this time of year, a bit cooler and wet, but the last few days the sun has come out in the afternoon. November is usually when we get all of our wind storms, although this year they started early! Hooray for the hair appointment! It will make you feel so much better!! Hope your counting of your faery product inventory goes well!! Numbers are not my friend either and I always feel like such an idiot when someone asks me a math question  Save yourself some grief and google how to make a txt path with photoshop I know I always forget and have to look it up too!! :mmph:

Nancy - Isn't it nice that people admire your handsome Luther!! He must be a very special dog!! Makes you want to get out and walk more I bet!! Hope your weather gets a bit nicer for the rest of the weekend, but I guess Autumn has officially arrived hasn't it! Enjoy your hockey game tonight and nice that your MG will be joining you this time! Have a great day of scrapping too!

Rae - We are most likely cross posting! Is it foggy over where you are today too? I am having lots of fun being on Anna's Team and I am hoping that she will keep me on after this three month stint! I hope that you have a lovely quiet birthday weekend and that the sun comes out for you and Taz to take in a walk!!

Jean - Storm doors all put up must mean its the official start to cold weather! Darn it!! Hope that the rain is a temporary thing for you and that the sun comes out soon! Enjoy your genealogy! You certainly seem to be busy with it these days!

Ok I better get a pot of coffee on for DH and myself I am getting hungry too so some breakfast is in order. Have a great Saturday ladies!!

Good morning, ladies. I've got another session to shoot today so have to hop in the shower, get my gear together and head out. Then home to load photos and continue editing all wkend except for tomorrow night when we watch TWD and a movie. This wkend is going to be extremely busy but that's what happens when you shoot 4 sessions in a 10 day span LOL. But after this family, I am officially closed for the fall sessions, I won't do any more of them now so I can get the editing all done.

Last night we brought the little table upstairs from the garage (where Jen refinished it) and moved the armoire across the room around the corner. I had an old computer chair that I can use but eventually will replace it with something nicer but for now, it will do. We need to let the stain completely dry. It was too cold in the garage and it was still a bit tacky. That's probably just as well, that we leave it sit for a day or two, b/c I don't have time to set up the computer and start figuring out Windows 10 on it....but you know me...if it was set up and plugged in, I couldn't resist, I'd start playing around with it and then the editing would not get done.

Chris - good luck with your craft fair stuff.
Trudy - no fog, sun is coming out. Fingers crossed for you, I'm sure Anna will keep you on.

Gotta hop in the shower, I need to be out of here in 40 minutes. Have a great day ,ladies.

Not raining, chilly and blustery today. Good day to be indoors. Tomorrow should be sunny and a little warmer and we plan to do some birding to enjoy it while we can.

Chris, sorry about numbers. They are my thing but that doesn't always help either. Creating your faery goodies sounds pretty special even if it is a lot of work.

Nancy, Woo-hoo on getting Luther raves while out! That is so cute and so must he be. Good luck to the Devils tonight. The Cleveland Monsters play tonight but they are only on radio and couldn't compete anyway with the Ohio State game and the Cubs game.

Trudy, wouldn't a kitchen re-do be fine! At least you can look. Working on calendars may be a little like storm doors: a certain sign of the season. I'm sure they're going to be beautiful.

Rae, well guess you'll be swamped with editing, but the table will be there waiting when you get through.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I am really proud of myself. I got everything done that I needed to in ordering supplies. I do surveys all year long and then put the $ into my Paypal account. Then I use that to pay for the supplies. Last year, I had run out of almost everything so the order was pretty big, but I only had to put out $30. :whoo:

You will also be proud of me because I took your advice and googled how to use the Pen/Text on a Path. And the first link up was the one I always end up using when I get stuck on that. heh!!!!My LO is all done and I really love how it came out. It is completely not something I would normally scrap, but sometimes those are the LOs I like the best.

Tonight is TWD premiere and I am going to have to go "internet silent" until Monday night after I watch it. I think thatI will be safe here, but FB and Twitter will be off limits.

Have a fantastic day!!!

Good morning! I slept so well last night. Must have been because the Devils won and the Chicago Cubs won. The Devils came from behind to win in OT 2-1. Taylor Hall had his second GWG (game winning goal) in the Devils two home games. For our team which does not score many goals he is doing what we fans all hoped he would. Then came home and watched the Cubs defeat the Dodgers and go to the World Series for the first time since 1908. This is going to be a fun series as neither of these two teams have won in many many years. My son took Luther on a walk late in the day so that was nice to see. Chaz and I had a good time playing LEGO dimensions. Such a fun game. Today is football all day starting at 9:30 LOL. The Heritage Classic hockey is on in the afternoon so I will enjoy that too.

Chris that is great that you got you order in. I guess now the fun part making all the potions. Seems appropriate at Halloween time! Gorgeous sun today in NJ but the wind is still strong.

Trudy I saw the photo on FB of your view - wow that is some view. Sorry the dogs were barking again. Have fun creating your calendars. I am going to have to start mine soon.

Rae hope the photo shoot went well. Enjoy the editing. Glad your computers are cooperating. The finished table sounds lovely! My son too is waiting for TWD start. Have fun watching.

Jean I bet you must be so excited for the World Series. Hope you did some good birding. I have been seeing the Canada geese flying in formation!

Have a great day all!

G'morning Nancy! I was about to post personals but then Caitlyn came in and we had to have our morning coffee and chat together.
yeah, the sun is shining but the wind is crazy! I wanted to rake a bit of the front lawn to find the dog poop but no point in that> I am just going to have to step very carefully.

How awesome that the person yelled that he loved Luther :)

Trudy- did you get a good start on the calendars? I asked Caitlyn what she wanted to Christmas from us, and we kind of looked at each other when we realized that Nov is next week. :faint2: Good for you getting a start on them. I think everyone will be getting F-W's stuff from me whether they want it or not :D
Hope that the fog and the dogs aren't a PITA for you today.

Rae- wow, that is a lot of photos to be editing, and I hope that computers and programs all work nicely. I am already anxious about TWD, I hope that I don't catch any spoilers.

jean- hope the weather cooperates for you and that you get out birding. Do you notice a difference in migrations with the weather being all wonky?
I said to Cait the same thing, I can't wait to get started making my faery stuff, the house always smells so good!

xoxo!

Morning ladies... It is overcast today, but the colours of all the Japanese Maples in our neighbourhood are just breathtaking! The neighbour across the street from us has the most beautiful burning bush!! It makes mine look very sad! So nice to have it to look at for a while anyway. Got my grocery shopping done yesterday and then DH and I went to the home show for a bit. It's not a large home show so it didn't take to long to go through, some nice things but nothing that blew me away! Today I will work a bit on my calendar and hopefully get a few months done! It will be nice to have them completed early for change!

Chris - I am so proud of you for getting your inventory all done and you even got your ordering all done too!! WTG!! Glad that you googled what you needed to know also, I find it the fastest way when I am stuck on remembering anything about photoshop! Hope you have a nice Sunday and don't hear any spoilers about TWD!! DD and Jonah are big fans too and PVR it, so they don't have to watch commercials, but always have a hard time trying to not hear anything about it until they get to watch it together.

I will come back and catch up with everyone later, right now I have pancakes to make and DH is grumbling that he is hungry!! Gotta go :becky:

Busy day ahead. Just popping in for a moment to say good morning. My boss' computer software was acting up last week so he's behind in dictating and has been sending some over throughout the weekend so I'm try to get some of that done so that tomorrow isn't so swamped. I'll also finish up one family session and get that ready to mail out their dvd tomorrow and then I will start the next one. Luckily, the family from yesterday's shoot are very easy going and realize that they will be waiting a bit for their photos so no pressure from them. Whew. Hubs woke up with his eye hurting and feels like something scratched his eye and might still be in there so we might be heading over to Emergency in a bit to see if they can flush it out. Later we'll watch TWD and enjoy Chinese food for dinner.

Chris - Good for you on getting all your supplied ordered and for finding the instructions for text on a path. I have it printed out b/c I always forget, as I don't do it often enough for it to stick in my head. I have a binder beside my computer with digi stuff.

Jean - going birding sounds wonderful. I am getting anxious to get out to Reifel sanctuary again soon to see the birds.

Nancy - sounds like a fun sports day for you! Yes, it feels good when others praise our dogs, doesn't it? I always love to hear and see people's reactions to Taz. He charms everyone. Of course with his unusual looks, he is not easily forgotten and so easily recognizable.

Trudy - did you go the home show? I love going to them too and wish we could gut the DR and expand the kitchen here but it wouldn't make sense to do it as we know we'll sell this sometime in the next 2-5 years. But it sure would be nice. I hate my small kitchen.

Ok, getting off the computer so I can get some stuff done before possibly heading to the ER with Darrell. Have a great day everyone!

We did get out birding in beautiful weather but once the Brown's football game started, DH wanted to listen on the car radio. We came home at half time and he's watching but it's going to be yet another loss. Saw a nice variety of migrants but not many water birds along the lake. I was just happy to be out enjoying the day.

Chris, your day sounded pretty good. Isn't it nice spending time with Cait too. Hope you can avoid info on the premiere.

Nancy, you're right that we're excited about the World Series! The Cubs look pretty formidable, but the Indians have been surprisingly successful. Glad the Devils gave you a win.

Trudy, the calendar will be gorgeous and so nice to get it going early. Hope it's a good day.

Rae, I guess Taz would be memorable. Sounds like you've got an awful lot of work to get through just now. Hope it goes quickly.
