Daily Ooo's: October 17-18: Weekend Edition

It is cold! 30* right now and I am not sure what I should wear to the dog park for Puppy School. I know I will be cold standing still but I end up working up a sweat. Layers, lots of layers. At least it isn't raining

What is the weather like by you this weekend? I hope that it is warmer than it is here. The one "nice" thing about the weather cooling off is soup. I made French onion soup for dinner last night and I tried it with vegetable stock instead of beef and it was actually really good. I threw in a bit more Worcestershire sauce to add a bit more "oomph."

I was busy busy yesterday. Good things that happened were County Social Services was able to fix the application. They have to wait for the State to confirm that I have no income (Income tax info, maybe?) and it should be all set. Scott's info is all there, and same as Gary and Cait. Sh**** things are being crossed off of my list. It is about time!

(I am pretending right now that I am not going to have to reapply for Health insurance in Nov. after we get the 2016 Social Security Awards letters for Gary and Cait (no increase this year on benefits bit I am 100% positive that there will be an increase for medicare ) plus Scott's new pay rate, if he hasn't quit by then and update Cait's lack of income from the Pizzeria... *lalalalalalaaaaaa!!!* )

I am almost finished with the floating candles a la Harry Potter/Hogwarts. They are starting to look like candles instead of toilet paper tubes! I have to add some fishing line and they will be ready to hang on Halloween. i want to make some for inside the house but I can't think of a way to hang them but be able to turn them on and off once they are up. *ponders*
Two more apothecary style bottles are painted and labeled, and as soon as I get the last bits done I can start cleaning up the craft supplies and get the decorations on display.

Today is Puppy School for Princess J and I hope that she will behave well. Gary took her for a walk yesterday and she did really good for him! I think I will be having all 6 of us for dinner tonight, so I have figure out what to make that will feed everyone. I had my list of meals for the week but don't remember what I did with it so it is possible that I threw it out.

This afternoon, I want to do some prep work on my November challenge and I *have* to get in the attic to bring down some warmer clothes.

Please tell me that you all have much more fun and exciting plans that that^^ hahah!!!

Nancy- That is so cute that you are excited to see Rex (and Ashley) this weekend. Is your kitty getting more used to him or will he still hide? How are you son's puppies doing?

And the kitty- how the heck do you put a shirt on a cat? LOL

Trudy- it makes me so angry and frustrated to hear that Heater and so many other people go through this ridiculous fight. It is the people who need the help the most that seem to get the brunt of this. The letetr I wrote the other day re: collections agency ended with a line about how the time/energy/stress that this is causing is so detrimental to my health.
What does Heather do if she receives money and then it is taken back? That is wrong on so many levels!
Hope that you figure out why your one foot cramps? It is smaller than the other and you are working harder to keep the flipper on?

Jean- sorry for distracting you with the fur baby pics! I can waste hours on Pinterest with Caitlyn cooing over the pit bull pups.
Ugh! That is crazy about Amazon shipping the wrong thing three times, esp since it is something that you needed for today. Have fun at the meeting today.

good am - my Devils lost but they lost in the shoot out so they got a point! Yea. It was an exciting 3 period and they kept the Sharks to only one goal so that was awesome. We have a good defense but my team struggles to score goals. They have yet to score 5 on 5. The 3 on 3 was fast and exciting. I had a nice day as I got in a good walk and the weather was not cold. Chris temp in my town is 49 so the sun it working. Today is low key just playing with Rex. Ashley was nice and looked at my trip photos. She has a really nice Nikon but does not know how to use it LOL.

Chris glad your day went smoothly! Soup sounds good for dinner. It is nice in the fall to cook. Have fun at puppy school!

Trudy I can't believe that Heather continues to struggle with relief. Such a shame!

Morning ladies I am not in a good mood this morning!! :rant: The guy that was going to buy our home gym backed out at the last minute!! First he wanted it delivered, fine... then he wanted to only pay half and the other half after it was set up and working WTH are you kidding. We told him right at the get go that we would be happy to deliver, but no way were we taking it apart and loading it in the truck until we were paid in full. Then he said it wasn't worth what we were asking for it. Really?? Its worth three times that much from what others have posted on other sites, we would never have seen the other half of our money!! This guy would have ripped us off. My DH being a retired policeman doesn't trust anyone!! And for good reason, aren't there any good people out there not trying to rip you off??? Anyway I guess our home gym is still for sale.

Chris - Thanks for the Swedish Chef poster!! Flurpty Floopin!!!! LOL love it! When the gov't pays Heather too much by mistake, she ends up having to pay it back by not getting as much on her next few paydays, I swear there are nothing but idiots running our country!! We are having an election on the 19th and I have no idea which idiot I should vote for LOL!! They are all just a bunch of crooks anyway!! Boy I am in a really good mood today aren't I?? :becky:

Morning O-zies, I am in a much better mood today this was me yesterday

but today I am in a much better place

. SIL sold her place yesterday and has bought a very lovely place in Ladysmith. She is moving very soon, so I imagine we will be helping her to unpack at her new place by the middle of November. She has hired a moving company to move her from Parksville. I guess she will be a busy lady getting ready for the move.

Chris - Hope you have a great time at your SIL's birthday!! Yes showering before you go would be a great idea!! :becky:

Afternoon, all! Typical football Sunday for DH. I'm still clinging to baseball in the playoffs. Yesterday was my computer genealogy group with two talks on DNA. It was fun and informative.
