So, who wants to hear about my bonkers day yesterday? Some days, I just have to shake my head...

I was in a really awful mood all morning with all of the health"care" news. I apologized to Gary straight off the bat about being a b**** because I knew that I would be. The drive to the clinic is a pretty one and Cait and I chatted and grumbled and (I) yelled a bit about the state of the world. But it was cathartic. We only had to be at the clinic for 2 hours so that wasn't all that bad. On the way home, Gary texts me that my color printer is messed up. It is showing an error code on the screen- but in Japanese characters. For real. I searched online to see if there was a way to fix it, but all I could find was to unplug it, let it sit and see what happens. I did that but had no luck. It is flashing lights and the screen is still in Japanese.

I started making the gravy for today and remembered why I don't make homemade gravy very often. My family's recipe is to push two cans of peeled plum tomatoes through a sieve. With a wooden spoon. (It isn't Italian unless there is a wooden spoon involved hahaha!) It took me almost an hour just to do that part. While it was simmering, I tried to figure out what was wrong with my printer, cleaned up a pee accident of Whisky's, tried to figure out why Firefox is crashing constantly.

It is now the point that I have to figure out what we were going to eat for dinner, since the dinner I had planned involved more standing at the stove and after 2 hours I couldn't do it anymore. Cans of soup. OK. I can do that. I go upstairs, fold laundry, come downstairs, put the basket on the bed, and dammit! One of the dogs peed on the bed!!!! :gaah:

I have a feeling that it was Jaida. When Whisky has an accident, it is a small stream and she doesn't stay in one place when she pees. J has been an absolute butt about going outside, she always is stubborn but the last few days she has been worse. So I think that it was her, although who knows?

At any rate, I had to clean up the bed, wash all of the bedding and then grab blankets so I could sleep on it without having to out clean sheets on the wet area. Today I am going to have to restrip it, Lysol the crap out of it, and put the ceiling fan back on and hope that it dries before I head over for the Mourning Tea at my friend's house this afternoon.

But I have really good news!!! Scott bought the car! It is a 2008 CRV, with leather heated seats, a sunroof, low mileage. Needs a bit of cleaning up inside but a little bit of leather cleaner and a vacuum and he is good to go! I am very happy for him. He got $900 on a trade in for his 1999 CRV which was awesome and now we just have to sell the VUE and "car-life" will be back to normal.

Here's to everyone having a fantastic day!! ::grouphug

Oh, and a pat on the back for me-- I made the appt with the surgeon so no more procrastinating.

Nancy- I don't understand how horribly DT is treating the people of PR. There are now deaths from Leptospirosis. My *dogs* are vaccinated for that since it kills them. And people are dying from it and he doesn't seem to care.
That is still so strange about the Case of the Missing Water Meter. The book sounds really good, almost like a Margaret Atwood one, which reminds me I still need to put a hold on the second in the Onyx and Crake series.
A lot of States Attorneys General are suing the Admin on this but it isn't like Kim Guadagno is going to join in, esp with the election next month.

Felis- Growing up in an Italian household, I have seen a lot of superstitions, but the Friday the 13th was never one we thought about. Thank you for the trouble-free driving-- which reminds me that I need to toss some coins into the car when he gets home from Leah's tomorrow. That is one superstition I do keep :D
That kind of distraction is frustrating and I hate how it makes me have to go back and fix things that I messed up in the first place.
Hope that today is a relaxing one for you and your fur-babies!

Happy Anniversary, Rae!!! Boring but together is my kind of Date Night too. Hope that Shaw gets their act together for you soon.

Trudy- Oh no!!!!! That stinks about the dishwasher. ours died the day after the September bash so not only did I have a full load, I had dished in the sink too. I hope that your new one gets all set up and working before the Norwex party.
Do NOT say the *S* word! No!!!!!!!!
Thanks for the good thoughts- I have a couple of t-shirts that I wear when I need to pull some strength. The Relay For Life that says Survivor on the back and the Nevertheless, She Persisted- a reference to Elizabeth Warren, a Senator who is one tough lady and one of my heroes. Yesterday was a Survivor one, b/c that is what I am. Even when I don't feel that way.
Christmas will be here before we all know it and you will have so much time with the boys. How long are they staying?

Jean- seriously-- what is up with tech?? It is always so much complicated that it should be. Glad it was only a simple fix for your internet.
Thank you so much for understanding my anger and hatred. You seem like such a kind soul so for you to say that you froth at the mouth too, makes me feel so much better.

I better get my act together so I am not scrambling at the last minute to get ready for the tea.

xoxoxo!!

Happy Saturday ladies... I met DH at Home Depot after work and we picked up a new dishwasher. Not what I wanted to spend all that money on, but I don't really want to wash dishes by hand either :becky: So DH will be installing it sometime today and that will be that. Grocery shopping and cleaning house are on the agenda today. I need to pick up some goodies to have at my party tomorrow and perhaps some paper plates and napkins for the snacks. I could use my good dishes and fill the dishwasher up, I will have to decide. Other than that not much happening here today. I managed to get another calendar page done yesterday and will post this one, because I just love the way it turned out.

Chris - My goodness you had a full day yesterday! I would have had a fit if I had to clean up dog pee off my bed. You are a saint for putting up with it! So does tossing coins into the car bring good luck or something? You will have to enlighten me on that superstition! Yes I am looking forward to seeing my DD and her family again! They will be here for 2 weeks and I know it will fly by, so I will try to squeeze in all the hugs and fun that I can. They are still working on potty training Mason, so I really hope he is all trained by the time that they arrive! He will sit on the toilet at school but refuses to at home. They really need to spend more time with that problem! But I try not to say too much and be the interfering Mom :tape: sometimes it is very hard to keep my mouth shut! LOL I hope you have a nice time at your tea today! Wonderful news for Scott to have his new car, it sounds very nice and luxurious with the heated seats etc. I hope it is a good reliable vehicle for him for many, many years!

:hello: to everyone else, I hope that you have an amazing Saturday!! I gotta get busy and get things done around here.

good morning - my Devils got a real wake up call against the Capitals last night as they lost 5-2. But I am glad as now they can get back to hard work and quit reading what a good start they are off to. The Devils has started this year not having real tickets everything done via the NHL/Devils app. Well they updated the app on game day and did not send out a notice until 4:40pm. Well my phone could not bring up the bar code and so we could not get in. I had my son log in on his phone and it worked. Good thing I know my password LOL. Well there were about 10 other groups who got the same message and so they logged in on my son's phone and it worked for them too. How weird is that. His phone is like so much older than mine. Crazy. But I learned that if I put them in my apple wallet it should be okay. But really where are the season ticket reps helping us out. I sent a note to my rep and it said away from desk getting ready for the night well that is not helpful. We could have walked all the way around to the box office but I think not! But so glad that my son's phone could work. So talk about crazy Tonight they play the NY Rangers at MSG so I will be nervous watching them. This is the first time in years that the starting goalies for both teams will be in the back up roles tonight. Keith Kinkaid will be starting for the Devils his first start in MSG. The Yankees lost the first game and it was close as both pictures were good. So I will watch Yankees in the afternoon and Devils at night. I have been going back and scrapping photos from a trip my sister and I took to Yellowstone. Fun to go back and see the photos and remember. Also have to look at my last Devils photos.

Chris so glad about the car. CRVs are really good cars. I bet he is so happy! Hope you get a good price on the VUE. Glad the time at the clinic was not too long. Sorry about the puppies peeing indoors. I hate it when my cat sometime has hair balls on my bed. She tries to hide it my messing up the covers. Too funny but then all the laundry! Have a nice time a the tea.

Trudy so sorry about the dishwasher. That is nice that your MG can install it, my could not LOL or maybe I would not trust him to do it. Glad you had a chat with Heather even if fast. And I am sure that Hunter goes through stages - what babies do not!

Rae hope that Shaw comes through soon. And I love the 13ths, I was born on 13, my oldest son was born on a 13 so it is a good day for me. Staying home for the anniversary sounds lovely to me. And thanks for giving the author I should have included that.

Felis hope you had a good walk. And waiting is the pits. I am always waiting on my youngest son and DH.

Jean I know what you mean about passwords and changing and everything. It is so stupid. They should tell you upfront if you change this it will effect the following. I don't know why they think we are so tech savvy.

Have a good day all!

Hello girls!
Today I have a very disappointing dog walk. In a dog park some teenage boys was made a big fire. And when they saw us start to circling around us with their bikes, was so creepy. Or at last I think so. Did I becoming more paranoid than is normal?! However I left the place, because it was easier than to control scared dog. I was too tired for our usual hiking route so we just went around the houses and receive the anger of the owners. Now I'm sure, more than ever, that my decision the big dog to be keeped only in my yard is better!
Today was day for more serious cleaning. My mom helped me with the vacuum cleaner, because the big one have own temperament and I always blocked it someway. I'm amazed how fast she can clean compared to me. Other things was regular and boring, but I'm happy that we finish them today so tomorrow will be free. I'll skip the grocery store this weekend. I need small time for reading.

Trudy, dishwasher is good decision, we are checked and it really save me water and time. So it's a expenditure that pay back with the time. Sounds good that you will have new visits from your family, you are in holiday mode earlier :) !

Chris, sorry to hear that you too have technical issues, what happened to you all, (Rae and Nancy too), hope can fix the printer!

Rae, Happy Anniversary! Have a many more!

Other girls I'll read your post and make notes tomorrow, excuse me!
Have a lovely weekend!

Good morning, ladies. Shaw came out yesterday (an employee on light duties b/c of car accident recovery, saw our report and wanted to help us). I think he was the same guy who came out yrs ago for a small repair. We had a nice chat, he's super interested in keto and wanted to know all about it. Its fun to talk to people about my 55 lb loss and how I achieved it. He gave me some info about the newest shaw tv equipment (bluesky) and told me what to demand if we were interested in switching over this winter. I'm tempted so will think about it.

So we headed out to the trailer last night and spent a quiet night watching tv and relaxing. Good thing we both love to be couch potatoes and just hang out :)

D still feels sick, is coughing a lot and I think has sinus tenderness so started putting my EO salve on his face.

We're heading into town soon, I'm going to the consignment store (I don't know how I keep finding more stuff to bring them LOL), D wants a new afghan for his chair and we'll check out Halloween costumes for Taz. I hope to make a page later tonight, I haven't scrapped all wk and miss it.

Chris - how great that Scott found a vehicle! Sorry to hear of the dog accidents, the joys of having animals LOL, its always something, isn't it? But we love our fur babes no matter what.

Trudy - I understand about not wanting expenditures at the time but then you get the new appliance installed and you'll be happy. D just bought an expensive leather lazyboy about 6 mths ago and he is complaining about it and wants a new one...ugh.

Felis - I totally understand feeling uncomfortable about the teens circling around you, it would make me nervous too. Hope you find time to enjoy your book and relax.

Nancy - my daughter keeps telling me to use apple wallet. I'll have to look into it.

I'd better get off the computer and get ready to head into town. Have a great day, everyone.

It's a beautiful day and I need to get outside in it. Yesterday DH did his weekly bird survey and had lots of birds, mostly fall migrants.

Chris, poor doggies and poor you with the accidents. You are such a trooper. Scott's "new" CRV sounds super. I don't know how nice I am, but the current state of things makes me totally crazy. Of course, your printer speaking Japanese would make me crazy too, so go figure.

Trudy, way to go with the dishwasher. I agree that having a MG who is competent to install it is marvelous. Have fun with the party tomorrow. Hope you get to use the good dishes. :bliss:

Nancy, more making crazy with almost not getting into the game! I'd guess they'll get that fixed quick, but still. Making scrap pages from older photos can be pretty cool and what I've seen of yours from 2015 look great. We aren't big on the Astros, but you know we're happy when the Yankees lose. I think DH will probably watch college football instead of baseball this afternoon but the Ohio State game isn't until tonight.

Felis, I think most of us would find a group of teens acting menacing to be scary. What a shame that you had a bad experience with the dog walk. Nice though to have chores done and then relax and read.

Rae, what a nice guy from Shaw. Glad you got to the trailer. Amazing that you've STILL got stuff for consignment. I know you'll have a nice weekend.

helloooooO and happy Sunday to you! Oh boy, I am tired! Not crazily so, considering that I woke up at 3.30 and was able to fall back asleep for~hour around 5 am. but I have nothing planned for today except a bit of housework so that means that I will (might?) take it easy.

Yesterday's tea was nice but much smaller than usual. But it was cozy with lots of food and laughing. It was fun to dress up too. I wore everything out of Cait's closet except for my underwear :pound: Black lace and chain-link leggings, a black lacy top, her old purple Doc Marten's, and a gothic black choker. A witch hat of course.

Like I said, I hope to just chill out a bit today. See if I can get my tech to work. I was really bummed when I woke up in the middle of the night. My iPod wasn't connecting to the wi-fi so any of the meditations I use to get back to sleep were unavailable. And I really don't know what to do about the color printer if I can't get it to work. That won't be good...

I hope that you all have a wonderful day with positive vibes to all!

Trudy- sorry to hear that you had to spend the money on the dishwasher but like you, I can;t imagine having to wash dishes by hand. Are you all set for your party today? Good luck!!!
That is fantastic about the calendar pages starting to come along. yay!

I don't know the origin of tossing coins into new cars but we have done that as far back as I can remember. I know that is must mean good luck, but it also came in handy driving down the Parkway when you needed $.35 for tolls every few miles to get to the shore.

It must be hard to stay out of potty training issues with Mason. I think I worked on my kids so hard for 2 reasons (well not Cait, she trained herself so I can't take any credit for that at all!)- their preschools had a strict potty trained policy and diapers were so expensive and I refused to buy pull-ups which were even more $$. Give me a few years and see how good I am about :tape: ha!!!

Nancy- oh man, what a bummer that the Devils didn't play well. But hopefully, they will be able to use that as a lesson and all that. And how crazy about the tickets? That was really nice of your son to lend out his phone for everyone.
Bet you had a fab day watching sports and scrapping yesterday. More of the same today?
I am happy that he ended up with the CRV over the Forrester too. Our mech said that older Forresters have more problems and that he rec'd the CRV. We have obviously good luck with them too.

Felis- that is horrible about the boys at the park. I would have been creeped out too. And I agree, better to get out of there before the dogs get too upset.
Enjoy your reading!

Rae- great news that the Shaw tech was able to help you out and even better that you were able to head to the trailer too. Were you able to find a costume for Taz?
Hope that Darrell is feeling better today.

jean- the weather has been so weird, it feels like early June and the days getting longer. But when I walked home from my friends last night, it was so warm but it was 6.30 and getting somewhat dark. Really odd. But must be good for your birding that you and DH aren't freezing out there.
I am with you-- I wake up shaking my head at the state of affairs here and I go to bed ranting and raving about them. but the :hippie: in me wants so desperately to keep seeing the good. It has to be there, right??

Good morning - yesterday was really nice and low key. Got Luther out for two walks so that was good and my DH also took him. Today we are taking Luther to the beach. It is close Sandy Hook and a National park and they allow dogs on the beach after Labor day. It is supposed to be warm after the fog burns out. We will then take him for his bath so it should be a good day for Luther and us. Well my Devils learned their lesson sort of. My coach benched 3 forwards because of lack energy in the first period as my back up goalie Keith Kinkaid stood on his head and it was 0-0 end of the first. Then the Rangers scored but right away my Devils scored and we won the game 3-2. Yea! So hard to beat the Rangers so this was awesome especially in MSG. Today is football and not sure I care too much but fun to see how my fantasy is going since the people in my league are wanting some punishment for the loser which at this point is me. LOL. But in my son's league which I do for him he is doing pretty well so that is good. Got some scrapping done so that too is good.

Chris glad you were able to go back to sleep 3 am is too early. I can't believe how weird you electronic stuff is acting. I have no idea why it would start speaking Japanese. Hope it gets straightened out soon. Glad the Tea went well. I had always thought it was so cool when mothers and daughters could wear each other clothes.

Trudy I was lucky that the day care center the boys attended help with potty training. Zach caught on pretty well but Charles could have cared less so he was a pain. But they do figure it out. Still is is a hassle LOL. Good luck to Heather and Mason. Loving the calendar page.

Rae so nice that Shaw came early. You should be proud about Keto and weight loss. Glad you made it to the trailer! Hope that everyone get well soon!

Felis that is terrible about those boys harassing you while walking your dog! Shame on them. Having Luther my 110 lb German shepherd not many want to approach us. And he is such a sweet dog. Glad you got your cleaning done!

Jean glad you are getting good birds coming through. We are starting to see more geese leaving. There was a terrible story about all these geese dying from moldy bread they were being fed. Such a shame! Hope your warm weather is coming my way!

Have a great day all!

Hi, all!
I'm so stupid I was posted at the morning and I'm put it at the wrong direction, so repeat.
Lovely sunny Sunday starts here, great for procrastinating, so I finished quickly with the few points in today very short To Do List :brushteeth:.
Today I don't feel like doing anything
I just wanna lay in my bed
Don't feel like picking up my phone
So leave a message at the tone
'Cause today I swear I'm not doing anything

Nothing at all!
Ooh hoo ooh hoo...

Rae, so good that the guy from Shaw is came on time to can you still go to your trailer! Enjoying your own company, is logical for this kind of anniversary celebration and even sounds very romantic to me.

Jean, I'm not surprised you are late with your 52 pages after this busy week. I love your autumn page (I just saw it and will read it soon). I found that I'm miss the jar with the week number on mine page, so just go back and add it on the previous week and now I have to start this one. Did you still working on the German church records?! I hope you go outside and also saw many migrant birds!

Nancy, so good that your son could help not only for yours but also for other tickets too! He is becoming at the star of the meeting, how cool  . I really really hate all this with the digital tickets and this kind of stuff. Here is norm system to say "No" or totally crash, even have a popular joke about that. I realize that this save paper and is better for the nature, but when I don't have a physical ticket or contract make me a little bit tense. I'm bet that Luther is feel awesome on the beach.

Trudy, have fun on your Norwex Party!

And Chris, yours Mourning Tea sounds like some very interesting tradition, I wasn't understood it correctly at first. I thought is something sad.

Have a lovely and easy day!

Good morning, ladies. Got some shopping done in town yesterday (D loves afghans and bought a couple of new ones on sale so he was happy) and then came back to the trailer for a late lunch. I got a CT challenge page done for next month and we watched the rest of Killjoys (sci-fi show) and took Taz for a nice long walk. The fall colors aren't great yet so I didn't take any photos other than a few iphone pics. It was freezing last night, for some reason the heater stopped work in the middle of the night and I woke up at 3:30 with a sore throat and feeling really cold. I took Taz out and then tried to turn the tv on, thinking I'd bundle up and try to watch a show but couldn't get the tv to work so laid there for an hour gritting my teeth and getting a headache. Finally got my ipad and watched a show on that and fell back asleep. Found out this morning that the input button had switched to the wrong selection so that's why the tv wouldn't work. Hubs had to push the ignite button for the heater and it came back on. So now I'm all toasty warm and my throat is feeling better.

We'll be heading home soon and if Bailey is around, maybe get together later.

I'll come back for personals later when I get home. I need to start getting ready to go home.

Hope you are all having a good day!

A cold front and rain is on its way here and I need to do some grocery shopping first. Then we can stay home all afternoon and evening with football on TV. Oh well, not really my thing but it can be fun. I'll probably read while "watching".

Chris, how nice to have a day with little necessary to be done! Hope you do relax but with all the tech issues kind of doubt you will. Good luck with it all!

Nancy, taking Luther to Sandy Hook sounds great. I've only been there once about a million years ago. Good luck with the fantasy teams.

Felis, hope your Sunday was relaxing and you got some reading in. Love the "to do" list! The colors in you pink flower page are fabulous!

Rae, bummer that you were so cold and unhappy in the night. I don't think my DH could have slept through the cold. Hope you get together with Bailey later and it's all good. Super finding afghans on sale. You are such a shopping success story.

Trudy will be having a great time I'm sure.
