So, who wants to hear about my bonkers day yesterday? Some days, I just have to shake my head...
I was in a really awful mood all morning with all of the health"care" news. I apologized to Gary straight off the bat about being a b**** because I knew that I would be. The drive to the clinic is a pretty one and Cait and I chatted and grumbled and (I) yelled a bit about the state of the world. But it was cathartic. We only had to be at the clinic for 2 hours so that wasn't all that bad. On the way home, Gary texts me that my color printer is messed up. It is showing an error code on the screen- but in Japanese characters. For real. I searched online to see if there was a way to fix it, but all I could find was to unplug it, let it sit and see what happens. I did that but had no luck. It is flashing lights and the screen is still in Japanese.
I started making the gravy for today and remembered why I don't make homemade gravy very often. My family's recipe is to push two cans of peeled plum tomatoes through a sieve. With a wooden spoon. (It isn't Italian unless there is a wooden spoon involved hahaha!) It took me almost an hour just to do that part. While it was simmering, I tried to figure out what was wrong with my printer, cleaned up a pee accident of Whisky's, tried to figure out why Firefox is crashing constantly.
It is now the point that I have to figure out what we were going to eat for dinner, since the dinner I had planned involved more standing at the stove and after 2 hours I couldn't do it anymore. Cans of soup. OK. I can do that. I go upstairs, fold laundry, come downstairs, put the basket on the bed, and dammit! One of the dogs peed on the bed!!!! :gaah:
I have a feeling that it was Jaida. When Whisky has an accident, it is a small stream and she doesn't stay in one place when she pees. J has been an absolute butt about going outside, she always is stubborn but the last few days she has been worse. So I think that it was her, although who knows?
At any rate, I had to clean up the bed, wash all of the bedding and then grab blankets so I could sleep on it without having to out clean sheets on the wet area. Today I am going to have to restrip it, Lysol the crap out of it, and put the ceiling fan back on and hope that it dries before I head over for the Mourning Tea at my friend's house this afternoon.
But I have really good news!!! Scott bought the car! It is a 2008 CRV, with leather heated seats, a sunroof, low mileage. Needs a bit of cleaning up inside but a little bit of leather cleaner and a vacuum and he is good to go! I am very happy for him. He got $900 on a trade in for his 1999 CRV which was awesome and now we just have to sell the VUE and "car-life" will be back to normal.
Here's to everyone having a fantastic day!! ::grouphug
