Happy Halloweeeeeeennnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!
It really doesn't feel like Halloween. It doesn't really feel like the last day of October either. It is *such* a strange time. Everything is like it is slightly off-axis and wobbly. Timey-wimey I suppose, to quote the Doctor. ;)

Even though I was utterly exhausted, I got so much done yesterday. All of the food that could be prepped is done. Scott ran to the liquor store to get the stuff that we needed. A box of all cheap stuff and I can only imagine what the owner thought. Scott forgot his ID so he is darn lucky he didn't get carded. ha!!
Caitlyn got her mid-term paper back, the one she had just submitted, and holy cow, she got another 100!! The professor said that he was very impressed with how she was able to cover a very complex topic within the required ten pages. I was too. She has a much harder time keeping her papers within the upper limits rather than hitting the lower. The girl likes to talk. :typing:
I know I am bragging again but it so impressive that she got 100s on papers in Master's classes. :first:

So let's see, what else? Oh yeah, our washing machine is leaking now. That is always fun. /s
This morning I am running to the vet with Caitlyn, Olivia has another lump in her armpit, the same place as the one that was removed over the summer. It impossible that not all of the tumor was removed since it was in a hard to reach area- very close to the main artery in her arm. When we get back we are going to finish up the food and set up the table in the driveway for the candy and then it will be party time!

xoxoxo!!

Trudy- what a sweet idea to have a little social distance get together with the neighborhood kids. Were they wearing their costumes?

Cheryl- That weather has me jealous. You and Miss Daisy must have been so happy being out and about. It rain/snowed all day yesterday. It stuck to the windows of our cars but that was it. Whew-- nothing like what Kay had!
I am so happy that the paint is perfect! And cabinets!! OMG- you must be over the moon, so exciting!

Kay- yikes, you were busy running all over town the other day. No wonder you fell asleep in your chair. That is great that you got to chat with DD#1 for a bit too.

Rae ((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) I am so sorry to hear that Noel isn't doing well. :( Love on him as much as you can. Please give him some belly rubs and some yogurt from all of us here. Enjoy the time with B tomorrow.

xoxoxo

HAPPY HALLOWEEN O-FAMILY!!! It certainly will be a strange one this year! We will not be handing out candy and none of the neighbour kids will be trick or treating  Last night was fun we gave the kids their treat bags and cards and we had a fire pit set up right in the middle of the top of the cul-de-sac. Each family had their own marked space where we set up our chairs and tables and we watched the kids open their treat bags and devour the candy LOL. Then we all took turns roasting hotdogs and smores. (no smores for me) We had a great time just visiting and the kids were really good for playing and still being socially distant. The kids all had their costumes on and it was cute that the one little boy next door was dressed as Harry Potter and I had made him a Harry Potter card! How great is that! Wish I would have taken photos :mmph: I did take one of the boy across the street, he came over to scare us before our gathering so I think I will make a page with that photo. Today we have a few places to go to and some yard work to do, but other than that I really hope to get busy with my calendar today! Nothing else to distract me from doing it now.

Chris - It's your favourite time of year and yet it must seem so strange to be trying to enjoy it with everything the way that it is !! Sounds like you had a productive day yesterday and it must feel good to have the food all prepped and ready to go! I hope you take lots of photos of your fun night together! WTG Caitlyn!! What a smarty pants she is!! Tell her how proud of her we all are please!! You have every right to brag away about her!! Ohh my now you have a leaking washing machine :frusty: What else will go wrong?? Sure hope things will be ok with the vet visit this morning! You certainly will be ready for Party Time this evening! Enjoy!!!

Kay - You had a very busy day yesterday! No wonder you fell asleep in your recliner! Then to wake up at 4pm, well that would just through me for a loop and I would never get back to sleep at night! Hope you did ok! You are such a busy scrapper, sure wish I had your mojo!! Enjoy your day today and Happy Halloween!

Cheryl - Sounds like a beautiful day for you and such a lovely walk! How wonderful to be in the tranquil quiet of your little piece of paradise! Sounds like the house is coming along wonderfully and so happy that you love the paint colour!

Rae - Oh dear how sad that you will be losing Noel! I hope that he is not suffering too much! He is lucky to be having the loving cuddles with all of you! My heart is breaking for you all, it is so hard to lose our pets!! Enjoy your time with B on Sunday!

Ok I need more coffee and then I better get myself in the shower and get on with this day! Have a great Halloween everyone, well as great as you can with all this Covid Crap!!

Hello and Happy Halloween!! How weird is this year, anyway and tonight is a full moon ON Halloween! Of course, that's only fitting for 2020.

Chris, have a great time and I know you'll enjoy all of that yummy food! You have every right to brag about Cait! That's a wonderful accomplishment and you have every right to be proud!

Rae, I'm thinking of you and know you're giving Noel lots of love right now. What a sad time - my heart goes out to you, too. Been there, done that. We always say we'll never do it again, but we always do. Our fur babies are SO worth it.

Trudy, your bonfire party last night sounds like it was absolutely delightful. What a wonderful idea. We've had a few of them even since we moved out here. There are two fire pits right out by the lake.

Yes, girls, we're enjoying our beautiful weather! Yesterday and today have been just glorious and it's supposed to warm up and be amazing in the next week. Indian Summer, for real. Daisy and I took our long walk today - she loves to go up the hill. LOL She always pulls me in that direction. Chuck has started letting her out and just letting her run like a crazy dog. I don't do that, because if something got her attention, she'd take off. She minds him and always comes right back.

Well, I've been trying to wrap a few things up here - I didn't fulfill my 3 Standing O's, due to just coming back from my "leave", but I think I've gotten all my others met. I'll try to get the SO's done before the night is over.

Hugs to all.

Hello and happy Sunday and happy November! How was Halloween? Our little party was so much fun. It was a good change of pace to be silly. We all wore something a bit different, Scott had on his "wizard" hat which looks a bit like Lazlo's cursed hat from What We Do in the Shadows. Gary said he didn't realize we were "dressing" so I handed him a toothpick and he became Jackie Daytona, Lazlo's alter ego. He even grabbed his Singing Fish that is one of Jackie's favorite things. Cait wore her bat hoodie and I wore a lacy dress of Caitlyn's. We played a few rounds of Halloween Scattergories- the two letters we rolled were K and I. Not easy at all! I found a bunch of kids' Halloween Madlibs online and that was as ridiculous as you can imagine.
Favorite part of the night for me: The Maleficent. It was a drink we found online, vanilla vodka, raspberry liqueur, lime, and sprite. Add in a touch of activated charcoal (recipe called for shimmery purple food coloring but who has that sitting on a shelf in their house?) and it was a deep purple in color and extremely tasty.
The food was delicious and so filling we never made it to dessert.

We got a few trick or treaters, less than usual, but maybe 10-12 kids? So we have tons of candy left. Gary is happy about that. ;)

Livvie's appt was ok, he isn't sure if the lump is a new growth or a keloid from her surgery a few months ago. He suggested watching it and if gets any bigger then he will remove it ASAP. She is over 2 yo which is "senior" for a rat and the older they are, the more dangerous anesthesia is. But he said for a 2 yo, she looks to be in excellent health.
The kicker of the appt was as he was holding her, he says "I know this rat!" He brought Cait into his office and he has the Rat calendar that Livvie is in-- for the month of October, the same one that I have in my office area. Did I ever share the picture of Caitlyn holding real-life Liv in front of Calendar Liv? I will have to see if I can find it if I haven't.

Today I have to finish cleaning up my kitchen and get some C-O work taken care of. And I am going to make sure that my food order is ready to go so I don't end up with a problem like I did last week. :nono:

Wishing you all a wonderful day!!!

Trudy- I feel bad for the kids who wanted to TorT but didn't understand why they couldn't. 2011 and 2012, Halloween was canceled in NJ from the blizzard, and then Sandy but my kids were in HS and old enough to get it.
I LOOOOVE the idea of your cul-de-sac get together. And that rocks that you made the Harry Potter card for the Harry Potter! I only took a couple of pics and none of Cait and me together. pfft. I got one of Scott and Gary. Thanks for being proud of Cait too!

Cheryl- I bet you got a great view of the moon last night. I imagine your sky being so full of stars. When we first moved up here, we were shocked out how many stars you could see since the area in NJ we moved from is full of light pollution.
It is true about every time swearing you will never get another pet and then you do...
Enjoy the weather by you, I had said to the family yesterday how we never got any Indian Summer weather this year but that it was good. In the last several years, my mom and I would make a last run down the shore for the day and it always would feel strange to drive through the town seeing all of the pumpkins out and then sitting on the beach in the sun. One year I got a bit of sunburn LOL I think it would have been difficult to have one of these 80* days and not have plans to do that. Better to keep it out of mind, ya know?

sending hugs!! xo

Morning, all. I changed all the clocks [except for the car] last night. Easier to do it then so I could wake up and know the 'real' time! Guess my body is still on the waking up early - it was 6 AM and was wide awake. We are having a touch of Indian Summer - so will have to switch back to summer PJs again. Suppose to be in the high 60's to mid-70's most of the week. Didn't have any ToT kids last night as the governor had asked that they not do door-to-door ToTing. The Covid numbers in the state are the highest they have been since it all started.

Chris, sounds like your family had a great time last night. What hoot the Scatterigores game must have been.

Cheryl, glad the storm missed your area. Nice that you can get out for long walks with the dog. Looking forward to seeing more photos of the house building progress.

Trudy, that was some party and a way of being safe, too. Sorry you didn't get a lot of photos of the kids.

Got my 1st November LO done and posted. Looks like we have a lot of fun challenges this month.

Hey lovely ladies!! It is a beautiful sunny day here, but very chilly!! DH and I had a little fire in the backyard to celebrate Halloween, no hot dogs though. We just could not do hot dogs two nights in a row LOL. I have to be quick in and out of here today, the grands will be face timing with us and it will be great to see them all and hear all about their Halloween. Mason and Hunter went around the neighbourhood, but poor Isaac and Sadie could not do any trick or treating. The area where they live is a Red Zone, so no one was allowed to go door to door. They still dressed up though and sent me photos so that was nice! I got my February Calendar page done yesterday and today I will try to get started on my next one. It's coming up to crunch time for getting them finished. I need to get coupons made and do a few other things behind the scenes either today or tomorrow. Today will be housework :washing: and then DH wants to go for a walk. So I best get busy!

Chris - Sorry that you did not get many kids, but at least your Gary is happy with the extra candy! We have no candy in the house, as I bought just enough to put in the gift bags and one left over choc. bar for my Gary. He is sad, LOL. No you have not shared that photo of Cait and Livvie for the Calendar, Livvie is famous!! Too cute! Your Halloween evening together sounded like it was lots of fun and they drink sounds delicious too! Hope you don't have too much cleaning up to do!

Kay - Yup all of our clocks are changed here too. DH leaves the car one for me to do, he gets frustrated trying to figure out how to do it LOL. Our numbers have risen too and they showed a whole mess of people in downtown Vancouver last night, no masks, no social distancing, what is the matter with these people??? When will they get it??

Ok better get the bathrooms cleaned and the floors vacuumed before we get out for our walk. Have a great day everyone! Can you believe its November already??
