Hallleeeelujahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!
I slept last night. It was still not a good night's sleep by a normal person's standards but compared to what I was getting, it was ah-MAY-zing! I feel physically so much better than yesterday. Mentally/emotionally, I am still shot but *shrugs* ... whatever :D

I could barely function yesterday. It was beautiful weather and I was thinking about going out to do some yard cleanup but even that was way more than my brain could handle.
Cordelia's appt was ok. She most likely doesn't have any bladder or abdominal infection/growths. That is a huge relief. The vet thinks she had a buildup of tissues that scabbed over and got infected so she is on my abx. Both Dilly and Livvie are back on Baytril since they are still sneezing but their lungs are all clear. And my "Littlest Livvie" officially weighs 6 gms more than Dilly. She was so much smaller than her sisters for so long, gonna have to be more careful with her treats. (I tend to spoil Liv a lot)

We have another gorgeous day in NJ so I plan to get out and get that yard work done. My parents are coming up tomorrow to visit for my dad's birthday on the 10th. He is going to be 82. Yikes. I think I am going to make him rice pudding for his "gift." He loves homemade rice pudding and my mom doesn't so he appreciated when I make it for him.

Thanks for putting up with me for the last few weeks! I know I haven't been a super cheery CheeryO
Hugs!!

Trudy- I feel your pain, sister... Good luck with your Gary being home for 5 days, hope he doesn't make you work too hard or get under your feet too often. Is the weather nice enough to sit outside and sip some wine at the end of the day?
How are your ILs feeling, is MIL recovering well? I want my parents to stay for a really long time even if we have nothing to say to each other. It is supposed to be sunny and upper 60*s and I just want to soak them in. It is going to be a long winter.
I think that my allergies are part of the issue with my eyes itching.
I would love to sit and have some coffee (or wine!) with you too.

Kay- that is awesome that you were able to find the DVD writer. I hope that it all works perfectly! You deserve some non-messed up tech time.

Betty Jo- that has to be horrible to have MCS, my neighbor is like that and makes her husband use hairspray outside or she will get sick. You must have to be so careful with everything you use/buy. I hope that your head and back both feel better today.
Ravyn is just old. She will be 15 in a few weeks. Not much I can do to help her at this point but give her love. And treats.

Rae- Thanks for the coffee! :tea: I hate when furbabies age. Cait was going through it yesterday with Livvie and Dilly. They are both over 2 yo and that makes them senior rats. How old is Noel? Keep giving him treats from me

Cheryl- haha!! I do remember plop plop fizz fizz! They don't write jingles and TV intros like they used too :D
How was the game last night? Good idea to do things outside as much as you can. Be safe

Better get going, I was so used to being awake and out of bed by 5 am that sleeping "late" until 6.30 makes me feel behind schedule :pound:

Morning ladies... Brrrr!!! It is very chilly and frosty here this morning! Guess it is time to put on the new flannel sheets today. I have gotten my DH his breakfast of soft boiled eggs and so he should be happy for a couple of hours LOL. Not much to do today, besides some scrapping and I now have a lovely photo to make my April Calendar page thanks to my son. I had a dream last night about my son last night, he was out here, but came to see a friend and didn't even talk to me when I saw him, it made me so sad!! Stupid dream!! I know he would never do that! DH has been having lots of dreams too, he woke me up the other night yelling at someone to "Come Here"!! He has no memory of it though LOL. Sure scared the pants off of me!!

Chris - It makes me so happy to hear that you actually got a half decent sleep last night! Hooray!! I hope that you get out in the sunshine today and get your yard work done! It will feel good to be out in the fresh air! We are hoping to do the walk I did with my hiking group either today or tomorrow, before the rain comes again! It will be nice for my Gary to get some fresh air! Glad that the vet visit went well also! Had to laugh that you are making your Livve a fat rat with all the treats!! Please say Happy Birthday to your Dad from me, what a perfect gift for him of the rice pudding, my Dad always loved it too! My Mom would make it for him once in awhile but she was not a fan of it either. Thanks for bringing back the memory of Dad enjoying his rice pudding! Have a lovely visit with them!

Kay - Hooray for finding the external DVD/write drive and on sale too, Bonus :thumb: Sure hope this is the end of your computer woes!!

Betty Jo - I am sorry that you are missing your DH, I really have to remember to kinder and not complain about things so much! I am blessed to have my DH in my life, I really love him so much and he is really my best friend, he just drives me crazy sometimes LOL.
That is horrible that you have such bad MCS, have you ever tried using Norwex products, you can clean your entire house using only water, no chemicals!! I have no chemicals in my home anymore and it probably saves me a couple of hundred dollars a year, because I don't have to buy cleaning products. So many health issues because we use such harmful chemicals on everything. Sorry I will get off of my high horse LOL. I sell Norwex, but you should be able to find a Consultant online who is near you. https://norwex.com/. BTW I am sure looking forward to seeing the next video from you and your son!!

Rae - Thanks for answering my question!! I am so happy that you have found a healthy way of eating!! Perhaps one day I will try something different too, I have added a few more things to my diet and so far it is ok, not gaining anymore and now that I have started swimming again I have actually taken a couple of pounds off. Too much sitting around doing nothing! Nice to see that you are out taking more photos and doing some walks with Taz!!

Cheryl - Oh I remember plop, plop, fizz, fizz too!! Love those old commercials! Sorry that your Covid numbers are rising, they are here too, this second wave is going to be worse than the first I am afraid! Hope you are able to enjoy another lovely walk today!

Well its time to get into the shower and get my sheets changed for the colder nights ahead. Have a great day everyone!

Woke up early this AM {4 AM} and couldn't fall back asleep. Decided to work on burning DVDs of designers that are not at any of the shops and take them off my computer. Slow work but it will be worth it to get some of them winnowed down. Only have a few new DVDs left so will have to wait until I get to the store and pick more up.

Our Indian Summer temps are a thing of the past as we have 2 Cold fronts heading our way... and the winds are picking up along with lots of clouds. Took a few photos of the brilliant red/gold clouds right at sunrise this morning. Will be back into winter clothes tomorrow. Hope the weather isn't too bad on Monday as I an appointment to get my driver's license that morning.

Trudy, had to LOL over your DH yelling in his sleep... I have been known to wake myself up yelling and not remember what the dream was about. Hope you can get a few LOs done... glad you got a photo from your son for the calendar.

Chris, glad you got some decent sleep last night. Enjoy getting out to do some yard work before the cold front hits your area.

Betty Jo, I am going to try your hint about Dawn/broom to clean my shower. I have a Spin brush that might help with it. I don't like using harsh chemicals either due to the odors.

Rae, glad you have found a diet that works for you and is healthy. Still sending healing thoughts for you with your back issues.

Glad I don't have to think about what to fix for supper. I have left-over enchilada sauce plus guacamole and salad from supper last night. Just need to fry up the tortillas. I have a bunch of apples so I may make Apple Crisp for a dessert.

Good morning ladies. Had coffee, watched the election news, read my book and then got out into the garden for some photos. I've got some scrapping to do today (left a few of my CT teams this morning as I realized I was taking on a bit too much, so am proud of myself for realizing that and taking a step back, that is hard for me b/c I want to do it all LOL).

I'll putter around the house, watch some shows with D as I rest my back on my floor mat later, then head to Walmart for a few things. I'll get Taz out for a nice walk later, its going to be good weather this wkend.

Last night we started The Third Day (HBO limited series), it's weird but I like Jude Law and will continue it. It's a slow burn, not action packed so D fell asleep but I started to get into it. I'll watch it when D falls asleep tonight in his chair. Tonight we give Noel his first at home IV treatment (fingers crossed we can do it). He's been doing really well this wk. He snuggled with me a lot yesterday and I got a pic of him snuggling into Taz's tail on the bed, it's so cute. I'll scrap that one.

Chris - enjoy the visit with your parents for your dad's b-day. Sounds like the rats are all being well taken care of. Hope you get out and enjoy the sunshine.

Trudy - enjoy the day, hope the sun is shining as it is here.

Kay - I've purged quite a few designers too over the last year or two. A lot of my old stuff I know I'll never use again. Yum...apple crisp sounds good.

I'm going to go do some CT work now and think about what dinners will be for the next 2-3 days so I can plan grocery shopping. Maybe tacos for tomorrow for D and Bailey who will come for dinner (taco bowl for me and Jen).

Have a great day everyone.

good day - the world seems brighter today now that the news has reported Biden/Harris won. Trump of course will not concede. Have been having wonderful walks with Luther. The weather has been in the 70s. It does not seem at all like Nov. It is freaky. I ate out with my girlfriend who is battling breast cancer. She is hanging in there and only has one more chemo round to go. Proud of her. Dinner was outside and social distant and thank goodness the temperature was moderate. Still bingeing shows.

Chris I know you are dancing in the street now that the election has been called. It is nice to see so many countries signaling their approval and sending Biden/Harris congrats. Glad the rats are doing well. Have fun with your parents.

Trudy have fun with with your MG even though he can drive your crazy. Hope your weather improves. My sister in Phoenix says the temps are going to be in the 50s and 60s after highs in the 90s. Glad swimming is going so well.

Kay I hope your computer problems are behind you. Glad you find the DVD rider.

Rae so glad you are doing better. I sure hope Noel continues to improve. I do love the birds photos.

Betty Jo so nice to see you here. Hope you feel better.

Have a great day!

Checking in - sorry I haven't been on here much. Have had lots going on. DD, SIL and youngest GD are all here. We had our first "outdoor deck party" tonight. We all sat around the firepit under the cool strung lights and just ate pizza, talked and laughed.

Good morning my lOves. I slept pretty darn well for the most part last night. At least I did until 4.45. My poor baby Ravyn... Another really bad accident that took me a half-hour to clean up. At that point, I wasn't going to be able to get back to sleep so I turned on the coffee pot instead. I will have a put a call in to the vet tomorrow, I doubt that there is anything that they can do but I feel horrible. I have a feeling that we are entering the "how many more good days vs bad days is she having" phase. My heart hurts - we lost two pets already this year. Not much you can do when they get older.

I do feel better -- I spent over two hours outside, clipping back the dead plants, raking leaves, and enjoying the sunshine. That felt wonderful! My hands hurt a bit ATM but so worth it. I can't wait to see my parents today. I cooked the rice yesterday today is turning it into pudding. After that, I need to get my brain moving along to doing stuff that needs to get done. I have been so distracted this past week and now that I am not hitting F5 over and over, I will have more time to be productive LOL

Wishing you all a fantastic day, I hope that your weather is as wonderful as it is supposed to be here today. ::grouphug

Trudy- what a sad dream. I can't imagine that would *ever* happen in real life, you kids would never ignore you. You can tell how close you all are and how much you love each other. That must have scared the crap out of you when your Gary yelled out in his sleep. My Gary was telling me about an article he read recently about how much impact COVID is having on our dreams. I wish I knew where he read it, maybe it would have suggestions to make them stop ;)
I will think of your dad today while I cook the pudding this morning and toss in an extra dash of cinnamon in his name.

Kay- I hope that you slept better today than you did the night before. Were you able to get all of the DVDs burned that you wanted to? Stay warm while the weather is cold. I am going to enjoy every possible minute outside while I can.
Yum, your dinner and dessert sound delish.

Rae- how did Noel do with the IV treatment? I really hope that you had better success with it than we did with Floyd. It would take three of us to burrito him up and place the needle in. He was never a calm cat to begin with, so all of my fingers and toes are crossed that Noel is and lets you do it.
Did your back hold up ok after being so busy? Have a great day with Bailey!

Nancy- I feel like I can breathe again!!! I just want to know when they are going to send that horrible and terrifying Cory Booker into my neighborhood. :fear: (I would love to give him some vegan food  ) We were all jumping up and down and yelling and hugging.
Any new shows that you can recommend? Killing Eve is now on Hulu so we have that season to watch. Good thoughts to your friend.

Cheryl- what a happy time to be with your family- the deck party must have been amazing! Love to hear that everyone is happy together

Morning, gals. Wow... had a great sleep last night... from 9:30 PM to 6:30 AM. Woke up feeling more rested. Yes, I did fix apple crisp dessert yesterday afternoon. But after eating my enchilada dinner, I was too full to have it. Divided it into serving size portions and froze all but 1 serving. Will have it today.

Yesterday morning I managed to get a few photo of the storm clouds moving in just at sunrise... brilliant with gold/red colors. Posted a page on my FB page with them. Haven't been taking many photos this year. Most have been weather related ones.

Chris, I only got a few more DVDs burnt as I thought I was running out of blank ones. Looked around this morning and found another spindle of blank 50 DVDs! So will be back to working on that chore. Hope to get things winnowed down so I can move things over to DH's computer by December. That will be my birthday (Nov 22) gift to me. I did look at getting a new computer but it wouldn't have a DVD writer/reader in them and would still only have 1 TB... so decided that for now, I will stick with using DH's.

Time to get my shower then grab a bite for a late breakfast. CYL

Happy Sunday everyone! I think the world has breathed a sigh of relief!! The sky is clear and the temps are chilly, but a beautiful day is ahead of us! Hope that the wind dies down a bit so we can get out in the yard and start raking up some of the leaves. Yesterday DH and I did the 7k hike that our hiking group did, it was lovely but much cooler than the first time that I did it! DH did well and his knees did not bother him at all so that was good! I got another Calendar page completed yesterday, so now I have 7 more to go LOL. Not feeling the pressure to get them done this year, seems like it will just all come together somehow. Hope to get a page done for one of the challenges today and other than that I will just enjoy the blue sky, tomorrow the rain starts again.

Chris - I am so happy to hear that you are sleeping better these past couple of nights, but your poor puppy, how sad that she is having so many accidents  I hope that she is not in any pain or anything. Not much we can do to help them out when they get older like that, except give them lots of loving!! Thanks for thinking of my Dad as you get your rice pudding made for yours!! Enjoy your visit with your parents, I hope that they are able to stay for a long time!! So nice that you got outside and got some dirt therapy! I bet your shoulders are bit less tight today, now that some of the weight has been taken off of them!!

Kay - Well aren't you glad that you found all of those DVD's!! A great nights sleep too, seems things are falling into place! Hope you get lots of burning done today, not an exciting job to do, but it will be good when completed!

Rae - That is too bad that you had to leave some of your CT's, but probably a wise choice! You need to take care of you and hopefully your back will be less painful soon! Hope that the IV treatment goes well for Noel! Yes the sun is shining, but darn the wind is blowing and the temps are chilly. Oh well the sun makes us all feel better doesn't it!

Nancy - How great to hear from you again! I was starting to worry about you! Hope you continue to have great walks with Luther! Soak up all of that great weather, because you know darn well its not going to last. Sending healing thoughts to your good friend, sounds like she is a fighter!

Cheryl - Your outdoor patio party sounds perfect, I love to have a fire when the weather is a bit cooler. Nice that you could all be together!

Ok DH will be wanting some breakfast soon, so I best get busy with it! Have a great Sunday everyone!

Happy Sunday - another beautiful day and great walk with Luther and DH. Lots of geese have shown up so that is cool. Also saw a hawk. Not good Covid news for our schools as there have been 4 positives so now teaching has gone virtual. Luther and my DH broke the console latch in the car but having my mechanic son he fixed it quickly. We are now trying to figure out Thanksgiving. Turns out that a friend is coming from Texas and will stay with them and not sure how the quarantining will go. So not sure what we do. With cases going up I am not comfortable spending so much time inside and I figure weather will not be conducive to eating outside LOL. Just saw that Alex Trebek has died. That is sad.

Chris glad you are sleeping better. So sorry about your puppy having accidents. It is so hard when they get older. They need to create Depends for dogs. A nice day for a visit with your parents. I have been watching Call the Midwife, Heartland, Free Rein and then some Christmas movies. I cant watch Killing Eve as it makes me so nervous LOL. I am waiting for the Crown and season two of Virgin River both that happen this month.

Trudy glad that your MG's knees did so well on your hike. It sounds like a lovely hike. He will know when the time is right. Congrats on getting that calendar done. I am sure the family loves receiving them each year.

Rae your jays are so different from the ones that we have here out East. I love their coloring. Sorry about your having to cut down on your CT teams but so happy your back is feeling so much better. Hope the IV treatment went well for Noel.

Kay so glad that you found the DVDs and now comes the necessary challenge of backing up files. Hope it goes well!

Cheryl you outside around the fire sounds so fun!

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. We tried to give Noel his IV treatment last night. We had lots of fumbles, I kept losing my grip on him as he was howling at me to let him go, poor little guy, then the IV would come out. We managed to get about 1/3 into him that we were supposed to. Two seconds after giving up he was on my stool, waiting for a treat LOL. We'll try again tonight. It did help tho b/c his appetite picked up again and he was more energetic.

Bailey was supposed to be coming for dinner tonight but we're on lockdown for 2 wks (started last night). No visiting allowed indoors. Our numbers have been rising again in the last few wks so hopefully this lockdown will bring it down again. I saw a guy being chased in Walmart yesterday and he was given a mask and told he must put it on or leave the store. Jen said people are constantly fighting with her about their rights to not wear a mask and get right up in her face yelling at her (she's the supervisor so has to deal with all the covid problems in the store), telling her it is a hoax and not that big a deal. Ugh.

Nancy - it's interesting to see the different jays isn't it? There are lighter colored ones in the BC interior that I've never seen and when I go up there on holidays to visit friends (eventually after covid) I hope to see them.

Trudy - what a busy wkend, a 7k hike and some scrapping, then raking leaves today. Hope you get time to relax.

I'm still in my jammies and it's almost noon so I should go shower, dress, get lunch and get on with my day.

Glad you got more sleep than usual, Chris!

We've had a gorgeous weekend here in NC! It was in the 70's today so hubby and I took a bike ride after church and ate lunch out. Probably won't have many more opportunities to do that, especially just wearing a hoodie! You can look for some layouts from today's adventure! ;)

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
