Whhhhhheeeeeee for the weekend! It is especially nice for me b/c I woke up at 2 am thinking is was Monday! Realizing that it was actually Saturday helped me get back to sleep with a huge sense of relief.

We got good news yesterday at the LLMD!!!! Both kids have been off of abx for 3 months, and he is not seeing any signs of relapse. The first big hurdle is typically at the 3 month mark. The next is at the 6-7 month mark. If they can get though that period, they will be officially considered to be in remission. That said- we have been though this before with Caitlyn who was in remission/symptom free for almost a year. But I am cautiously optimistic for both of them. The visits went really well, and quickly too, since they didn't have too many symptoms to report. We were back home in WM by 3.30 when we typically don't get home until 5pm. And we don't have to go back for 4 months- unless they start to get symptoms, then we go in immediately.

We have had a good Lyme week, here. My appt showed some positive movement, Cait is stable, Scott has never been off abx this long w/o relapsing. I am thrilled!!!!!!!!!!

Today, I have nothing major planned. I want to clean up a bit and get ready to make some soap tomorrow. The one order came in yesterday. The kitchen needs to be scrubbed and sterilized as best as I can get it. This is also a new process so I need to read and prep everything so I don't screw anything up.

I also have a couple of LO's that I need to post and I would love to get another page or two for IL's album scrapped as well.

What good things are on your weekend itinerary?

xoxo

Laurie- good for a rainy day to keep you focused. Did you do any iDSD shopping? What did you get?

Trudy- hoping for good steady rains for you too. We were supposed to get rain here yesterday but it only drizzled a bit.
Thank you for the sweet words about Scott. You have known me looooong enough to remember the ups and downs we have had with him, so you can understand how this makes me feel :)

Claire- that sounds like such a great program for Robbie. I bet getting his pay packet is such an ego boost for all of them.
Thanks for the good thoughts for Scott too, and back to you and your son, a nursing degree is not an easy path.

Looks like we are all dreary/rainy-- you too Rae!Hope that you got all of your work done and had a chance to scrap. Is the thyroid stuff routine or are they checking up on something new?
I watched Haven after my surgery- binge watched on Netflix. The last season in on TV right now. Not sure if I will pick it up if it gets on Netflix at some point. How far in are you?

Better get going

Morning O fam- The sun is shining, however the temperatures are 20 degrees lower than yesterday. I will clean house today as I worked on leaf removal yesterday- we have a corner lot with many (over 10) mature leaf bearing trees and they are covering the lawn and killing the grass. I also have many great new birds- chickadees and tufted titmouse as well as a red headed woodpecker. Oh and ewww when I was raking yesterday I thought I found a fat worm- no it was a short black snake- I did not kill it, just used the leaf blower to scoot it down the hill!

Chris I am filling my cart- was waiting for the weekend to see all the deals!!

good morning - I have been absent as I am a juror and I can't say anything any way. It is hard going back to a work schedule LOL up at 6 am and not home until just before 6 pm. The fun part has been walking with my DH and riding the train with him in the morning. He is then sweet and walks with me to the courthouse. It is awesome to have the train and not have to drive. Since this is a federal case the other jurors are having to drive over an hour so I feel very fortunate, they also have jobs so I am lucky. It is amazing though just how draining jury duty is! But on an awesome not I got out early on Friday and there was not time to go home before the game so I just went to my fav local restaurant. I had the cutest young couple from Chicago at the table next to me and we started talking. I thought it was so nice of them to talk and so I bought their dinner. Perhaps that gave good karma to my team as they beat the Blackhawks 4-2. The Hawks pulled their goalie with over 6 mins to play and only got one goal. My team stood tall. It was an awesome win by the Devils. So fun! Then my son and DIL gave me a ride home. It was a long day but so exciting! Love today I have nothing but shopping to do. I won't be around Monday or Tuesday as the trail continues.

Chris that is awesome news about you and your kids Lyme's news. Just awesome! So happy for you all! I read some about the kids and their bathroom needs. How sad is it that things have gotten this bad!

Trudy saw you needed rain - hope it comes and continued good work on the calendars.

Claire good news for your son.

Hi to others as I did not read all back posts.

Have a great shopping day!

Morning O ladies!! Just popping in quickly as it is a busy day for DH and I, getting wine ready to bottle and lots of groceries to get. Not going to Victoria because it is just pouring here!! Rainfall warnings for the area. Oh well a great day to get things done around the house! Going out for lunch after shopping, that will be a nice treat!

Chris - Wooooot!!! on all the great news from the lyme Dr.!! keeping my fingers and toes crossed that the lyme buggers are gone for good!! Making great headway on my calendars, but still lots to do. Hope you manage to get some pages done for your IL's!!

Laurie - Ewwwww a snake!! Actually they do not bother me as much as spiders!! I hate spiders!! :spider: :fear: I don't know what I would do without DH to take card of them for me :becky: Have fun filling your shopping cart today, so much good stuff in the store!!

Nancy - That's right I forgot that you had jury duty, must be hard to keep from talking about it!! :tape: Good for you for doing it!! That was such a nice thing for you to do, to buy lunch for that nice couple, it will come back to you threefold I am sure!! Montreal and Boston play tonight, not holding out much hope for a win, so hard to take when we both despise Montreal!! :becky: Oh well what will be will be. So nice to hear that you Devils did so well!! I bet it was an awesome game!

Claire - hope you are having a great weekend with your family! Hope Robbie has fun spending his pay packet!! How great for him and his class mates!! You must be so proud of your son for getting his degree in Nursing!! Such a great career choice!!

Rae - Bet you are having a very rainy day too, looks like the Mainland is in for tons of the wet stuff!! Hope you have a great weekend!

Ok DH is being a pest and needs me to help him out with something. So off I go :bolt: Have a fun day everyone!! Scrap lots!!

Chris, that's great news on the checkups for everyone. My former boss and good friend has Lyme which they think went undetected for a few years. Shes in a rough place but really celebrates those better than usual day.

Going to have to do some major binge scrapping and shopping since we're away this weekend celebrating my son's 21st. We're back tomorrow afternoon, so a weekends worth if scrapping ina few hours .... not a problem, right? Lol

Happy Sunday lOvely O-Fam! It is way colder here today than it was yesterday, but at least the sun is shining today. I hate cooking in my kitchen this time of year. The window faces west but with the angle of the sun being so low, it seems to be always behind the trees, which are mostly oaks and will keep their leaves a long time, of not all winter. It always feels so dark in there.

Yesterday I think I got a lot done again. It is probably all normal stuff for a normal person, but the fact that I stripped my bed, cooked a real dinner, baked home made bread (ok, that is a little cheating since it was in the bread machine), vacuumed, and basic cleaning, plus I scrapped another page for my IL's book -- whoa, not bad!:hail:

I was planning on trying out a new batch of soap today, but I am thinking it might be better to wait until tomorrow when there will be less people in the kitchen/house. I guess I will play it by ear. :ear: (I have always wondered why there was an ear smilie- maybe for listening? But this seemed appropriate too heh!!)

Hope that all of you enjoy your day!

Laurie-- I hope that you post some LO's of the new home. It sounds wonderful. Leaf blowing the had me chuckling to myself- such a great visual I got! We have had a lot of snakes recently too, my kids always want to keep them. They have tried it before and they always realize quickly that it is not good for the snake. Last week, we had a tiny mouse fall out of the attic when Gary pulled the stairs down. So what does my goofy family do? Set it up in a tank with some paper for nesting, a heat pad underneath, food and water. He was doing really good until one morning, the lid was partway off of the tank and the cat was looking into it. We never saw any evidence that he was eaten, thank goodness, so it is possible that he was able to get out of the tank and get under the baseboards and escape into the basement.
That is my story and I am stickin' to it!
It is soooo good to see you back here and scrapping!!!!

Nancy- how long will you be on the jury? It has to be fascinating, if draining. I know I could never do it, my brain wouldn't be able to pay attention/recall.
That is absolutely so nice of you to buy the Chicagoans (?) dinner. Karma is a lovely thing, esp when it means a win for the Devils. :)
Hope you get lots of relaxing in today too, and hope that Mon and Tues are easy days for the trial.
Thank you for being happy with the Lyme news.We are all so thrilled! Huge steps for the family, if only we could Gary on track a bit :(

Trudy- I hope that the rain didn't cause any flooding near you, but it sounds like it would be a nice day to bottle up your wine, and enjoy some too! We can keep pushing each other on to get these gifts scrapped, I know we bot can do it! :cheer2:

Kat- thank you too for the sweet words re: Lyme. How terrible for your friend to be dealing with it too. It is insane how totally debilitating it can be. DH has probably had it since he was kid, me-- since the 1990's and both kids were born with it. It is a looooong road, but the One day at a time, Baby Steps are really good mottoes to live by. The only problem with the good days is that ya tend to overdo it and end up with some bad days ahead.
If you have ever heard of the Spoon Theory... it is that each day you start with a number of spoons, but if you overdo it, you run out of spoons. Last week, I kept yelling in my head- I got no spoons!!! hahahah!!!
Hope that you had a wonderful time celebrating your DS's b-day!!

good morning - yesterday was so nice - I had a class with Anna and learned a lot and of course was inspired. Of course I also shopped and that was fun. Today I think I will shop some more. Got in a good walk and I watched lots of hockey. Today my Devils will play the Canucks, it is an early game so that will be fun. It is chilly this morning more like I expect for Nov. So I will get in a good walk.

Chris so glad to hear how much you got done and then today I don't see you feeling too bad that is an awesome sign that you are feeling better! so happy for you. Good luck with the soap making. As far as the trial goes not sure when it will end I am just grateful that I don't have to drive.

Laurie that is something about find the snake. It has been strange with the leaves falling this year as there has not been many storms or wind so the leaves just fall directly under their trees so where there are not trees there are huge blanks on the sidewalks. Your new home sounds wonderful.

Trudy hope you got the rain you needed but not too much! Hope you got the errands done. I watched the Bruins give the game away last night. Shame to take a penalty so late in the game.

Kat so sorry about your friend and her battle with Lyme's. Have fun with the birthday boy.

Have a great day all!
