Daily Ooo's: November 26-27: Weekend Edition

happy weekend! how are all of you? I didn't get to sleep in much so far, up yesterday and today at 6am. I think that my body just cannot stay in any postiion long enough w/o pain any more. However, it was good that I was up early today. We had an appt to get our gutters cleaned. At 7 am- there is a knock on the door- they are here and ready to go. I tried to let Ray out, she went outside, looked around, saw the workers and freaked herself out. She barked and *ran* back to the front door. She is such a goofy girl!

We have freinds coming up today. We haven't seen them in along time. Their kids are 5 and 6 and totally adorable. Tomorrow my parents and IL's are coming up. The ladies are going to a Tastefully Simple party across the street and then dinner back at my house.

I ended up cleaning to noon yesterday, we ordered our new stove, and then I went and read for an hour or so in bed. Still exhausted however.

What plans do all of you have this weekend? Hope it is fun and relaxing!

Morning Chris! I wondered if you were sleeping in. You sure do have a busy weekend with guests. Have lots of fun! Workers who come at 7am are great but boy it sure makes me want to get dressed...fast.

No great plans today. Dick is on a retreat all weekend so I'm free as a bird. I think I'll catch up on my 365s and maybe get some more done on the trips we took this fall. I did some digi shopping yesterday and it's time to put the credit card away!

If I have any ambition, it will be to get myself to an AC Moore and use my 50%off coupons for some Somerset magazines. Pure eyecandy.

That is good advice, and one reason why I love my mom's lake house. Ihave run away there several times to recharge myself so I don't rip all of my family's head off.

Phyllis- what is it with men? Mine is the same way when I am trying to get the kids out the door for school. Most mornings he is still in bed, but the days he is awake, its like go! Sit someone else for the next 10 mins!!
And they don't see that we are all bouncing off of each other, like the keystone cops, trying to get breakfast, meds, brush teeth and so on. Clueless LOL
Your day sounds like it ended perfectly-- and you are very, very good!


trudy- hugs to you and I hope that work stress doesn't get to you. Its only going to get worse as the holidays get closer
We did get a good deal on the stove. My friends works at sears and we were able to get her to price match and free shipping. We paid a bit more than if we bought it from another place online, but she gets the commission and that is worth it.

Decorating and tress... bah humbug. Gary and I are already fighting- he wants to buy a new tree or a real tree, I think the one in the attic if fine (and free). Men!!

so- it is Saturday- morning everyone and good day to all who stop by. I was planning on dance and a mini trip, however, I am thinking it may be better to do a house attack weekend. Of course there is definitely some crafting in there as well. I am attempting to make my own smash book for December- wish me luck! Plus it will be warm today- 60's so , I think the Christmas decorations need hauling!

Morning Ladies,

Okay I'm done pouting.....had a talk with DH and got it out of my system yesterday.....the tree is decorated with the help of my grandson....of course I'll have to rearrange a few ornaments, but it's always fun to have his help......

Step daughter and grandson are leaving today so I will get some alone time which I did to recover from all the hustle and bustle of the last 2 weeks. Although I may try and venture out to Michaels to get some decorating stuff and ribbon for wrapping gifts.

honestly, you guys make me tired just reading about all you do!! Chris: you amaze. and i know what you mean about staying in one position. totally cement after 10 minutes. i spend a lot of my nights waking up and changing position....

Frani, glad things have settled down.

Laurie: house attack! that is a great way to describe it. i think i have several of those in my future. Christmas dinner is HERE every year, and i do TWO dinners: one our ethnic 11-course Christmas Eve dinner, and then the extended family dinner on Christmas. i better not talk about it too much or i'll run away from home....

Maureen, isn't it fun to read some of these magazine and actually KNOW some of the people in them??

Morning ladies... silly cat woke us both up at 4:30am :sleep: Good thing hubby leaves his gun at work, or there would be one less cat in the world. :boom: Went back to bed for a while but now I am up again and MG is still snoring. So I figured I should get in here and visit with my online buddies! I really have to get my calendars done in the next few days also. I want to make at least six different ones so that I can put them as stocking stuffers for the kids and in laws. I am having trouble with a couple of months and I'm stumped for ideas on the pictures. Oh well I will figure it out.

Chris - Glad that you were able to get your new stove ordered!! How nice that you are giving commish to your friend!! Wow 7am start for your gutters to be cleaned, that early on a Saturday!! But it will be great to have it all done! Hope you have fun with your houseful of guests!!

Maureen - Sounds like you will be spending a good portion of the day in front of the computer, send some of your scrapping mojo my way would you, I could use it!!

Laurie - Not sure what a smash book is??? But good luck with it!! :becky:

Fran - So glad that you and hubby patched things up!! Wow tree up already?? I am really behind everyone, mine won't go up for another couple of weeks.

Phylis - yikes you have some major cooking coming up!! I am making everyone help out this year, last time I had everyone here for Christmas I did all the work, but now that I am working and can't get everything done a head of time, they are just going to have to help me out! I know I'm a mean woman!!! :rant:
Tonight is my work's Christmas Party, out for Chinese Food and then some fun glow bowling :bowl: Should be good for a few laughs, that is if I can stay awake long enough to enjoy it LOL. Hope you all have a great weekend!! :wave:

Hi ladies....

I was a scrapping machine yesterday.....I meant to come in here but I just never could stop scrapping....MOJO was flowing I guess....it was all CT stuff...so it won't be posted for a few days.

Just got home from taking pictures of Sharon's kids and her SIL's kids...they wanted them to give to Sharon's ILs for Christmas...I think they are making a calendar with them too for them. Tried to get her to let me do it....but they go for the $5 pop in your pictures one at Staples....CHEAPSKATES!! ound:

I need to finish my cleaning....so I better get OFF THIS COMPUTER if I am ever going to get it done!!

Chris....Mike went hunting this morning and the kids spent the night at my Mom's with Traci....so I was able to sleep late....BUT....guess who BUTT DIALED me at 6:30 this am from his treestand?? GRRRRR.... but I am the same way for the most part...I can't lay in bed for very long...I am usually up either way by 6 or so.

Maureen....I would die to have a weekend to myself!!!! LUCKY GIRL!!!

Laurie...it's 70's here today...isn't it nice??? and you can come haul my Christmas decorations too....I just don't get into it like I used to!!

Frani....glad you talked it out with DH.....mine was in an extra bad mood the other day...had to do the same with him last night....Hopefully he will come home in a better mood tonight!!

Phylis....I am like you....wake up all night to reposition....body aches too much!!

Not sure what we are doing today....besides listening to DH grumble all day about having to go back to work tomorrow....after being off for three weeks!!! You would think he would have nothing to really grumble over since he only has 5 weeks left to work there FOREVER!!! But I will give it to him that the seasonal time is the worst....

Morning nana- what is it about husbands and grumbling- mine is going through a tough time, but has his man shield up- so I pray - I leave him alone and I am beginning to be able to not take it personally. Yesterday's warm temps and sun gave way to rain, but the lights are up, the house still needs an inside attack and I have lots to do- headed to the treadmill, then shower, then church, then- well not sure if my energy will travel that far!!

Sorry to hear about those men. Mine usually comes home in a great mood after a spiritual retreat and after a decade of marriage, I'm glad he goes more than quarterly!

Never left the house yesterday, and scrapped and did a bit more digi shopping AND organizing. It was a good day!

Today? probably a repeat and probably crabcakes which Dick usually gets on his way home. It's also a nice day for a walk round my town.

been a long weekend for me so far!! yesterday i went to my moms shes 1.5 hours away....hung out for a bit she gave us a popcorn maker machine it looks like one of those old fashioned type ones....its cool the kids and the hubby love it...then me and the kids went and helped a friend move....and now here i sit waiting for 11 to come to go out on a mommy date to lunch and a movie LOL

Hey kids!! I'm finally relaxing after a very very very busy two weeks!! So tonight it's scrapping on the couch, Sunday Night Football, a little decorating of the tree in an hour and a half, and just plain ole fun!! I'm living it up!!

We had an amazing Thanksgiving!! I blogged a little about it (with silly pics and everything!), so now I need to scrap it! I may do a fun little thankful book for everyone for Christmas! I just started even thinking about Christmas...ohhhh I can't believe it's the 27th of November!!

Just wanted to pop in and say hey and let you know that I'm still breathing!! Breathing very happily here!!

Hey ladies!!

I feel like I haven't been online in forever. My FIL has something weird with his settings on their wi-fi so we had no internet except for my phone which is a pain...plus we were busy visiting and all that fun stuff. We had my husband and his brothers in the same place as me for the first time since I don't know when. Maybe our wedding. His younger brother has really become a giant selfish brat and his wife is horrible. He gets drunk and talks about stupid stuff acting like he's so smart but really he's just arrogant. It annoys me. Ethan and Addie got to hang out with our nephew...that was fun. He lives in Alaska and we don't hardly ever see him so that was a lot of fun for all of them. Of course it was strange for all of them because we all live very differently. He lives in a house with no electricity or all the regular things we are so used to. Apparently he was watching tv and was all confused because there was a show in the middle of the show. He watches movies on the laptop so there aren't commercials or anything...so the commercials through him off a bit. We ventured out to the Lego Store on BF and that was a little crazy. We went in and came out as quick as we could but that still took awhile.

So, now we are home. Yay!! I need to get settled and then go to bed early. Lots of unpacking to do tomorrow. I'll hop in and visit I hope. I hope everyone had a fabulous Thanksgiving or just a great weekend.
