Happy weekend, O-zies!!!!
I am so excited that I don't have anywhere to be. At all! Even though I was only out of the house for less than an hour yesterday at the vet, I still felt like I had to be *on.* YKWIM? I was showered and dressed and basically :waiting:

Poor Whisky had a reaction to one or both of her vaccines. She was so fatigued that Gary had to put her in bed last night. She got Lyme and Lepto and based on my quick Google search, Lepto can have some side effects like that. She seems much better so far this morning. Whew!

I sent the field trip curriculum outline to Lauren before noon and she thought it looked perfect. I have two topics and lesson ideas for the months of Dec to June, with some math and vocab, a Team Building and/or Citizen Science activities. It still needs a lot of work but I don't want to spend a ton of time in case the HS pod decides to only come one day a month instead of two.
I think I have the first week of my HS 90% ready as well.

Today I am packing up the Halloween decorations. Gary started to put away the few outside things and I need to have some uncluttered inside areas before we deal with Christmas. As of right now, I am not -- repeat-- *not* --working on HS curriculum. I need a mental break. Let's see how long that lasts.
I would love to tidy my house this morning and scrap the rest of the day. Whaddaya think? Will I do that? :thinking2:
Anyone want to take bets?
:giggle4:

yeah, me neither!

Have a wonderful weekend!

I thought that might be what was causing your achiness. That sounds like what the doctor who did the DEXA scan wanted to put me on but I'm trying the bone broth, supplements and more exercise route first. I hate the thought of all the side effects. I may end up having to go that route anyway.
I would have preferred not to go the Rx route but I've been taking calcium and D and I am pretty active. Based on my age (young for osteo), he felt that now was the time to build some bone before I break something. I hope that your next scan shows an improvement!
That's good that your wrist is better with wearing the brace.
Yes, you mentioned your Dad yesterday, that it was his b-day and you missed him. Big hugs~~~~
Good luck fixing your EHD!

Yes my mom used those words at us as weapons and we took them and made them funny! She has no idea how much fun and laughter we get out of it.
That's awful that your mom would say stuff like that. :brokenheart: I love that you and DD turned that around and reclaimed it in such a funny way.
Hope that the soup got to you from NJ and that you are feeling much better by now. The weather and plowing must not be helping but I bet you are used to it.

@BrightEyes did you enjoy your PJ day? I started one of the Nov challenges (52 Inspirations) but had to bail on it. One One of the requirements was to use buttons or flairs prominently on the page. Well. You alllll know that don't do anything with buttons.
:hahano:
I found some flairs but they did not work with the rest of the page so I trashed the entire thing.
Smart idea to put the tape over the light switch.

@taxed4ever Wonderful news that the rain held off for the kids. It is the pits ToT-ing when it is wet and dark. 32 kids! That's a lot for here even when we had a bunch of visitors.
That's awesome that your neighbor gave you mushroom soup. I'm allergic but I am on a FB mushroom foraging forum to help with ID-ing them and it's been so dry, no one is finding anything.
Eeeeeek..... :eek3:
One thing I hate more than buttons are eyeballs! I have to hide my face when they show eyeballs on TV. I'm glad that there is treatment for MD but sheesh, why don't they find an easier way??

@Terri M Oh no-- that must be heartbreaking to see the photos of your trip and then see the ones on the news. What a horrific thing, I saw the photo of the cars piled on top of each other in the street. So awful. :(
heh! I always second-guess myself on how much candy to buy. This was the first time I only got one bag and we obviously had all but one piece left over LOL
I had stopped wearing the brace for short periods of time, but I guess I got cocky and overdid it yesterday because I was feeling the ache last night. I suppose that brace will be my friend for a while yet but, yes, typing is no fun.
Don't make me go all Momma Chris and scold you so you don't overdo it. Just ask Kay what a PITB worrywart I can be :rotfl:
Hmmm-- bike riding or winery? I wonder which one I would choose? Sorry that you don't have a choice just yet, hopefully soon!

@mimes1 ((((((((hugs)))))))))) for the sale of your mom's house. That has to be emotional for you and your family.
Gunner must be thrilled to have the stitches out. It is his own darn fault that he has to keep wearing his suit. Don't you wish you could explain to pets (and toddlers. And teenagers for that matter) and have them understand why their actions have consequences? :p

@Cherylndesigns Whew--- I'm glad that Sam is doing a little better. He has to stop worrying you like that! And me! LOL!
And how are you doing after the vaccines? IIRC, the shingles one is 2 doses? I didn't react to the 1st but the second one was rough. Something to keep in mind when you go back.
That's fun to scrap photos and pages about snow.

Tracy- that's a great idea for your pastor to send out care packages with the leftover candy. Very smart and appreciated.
Driver's tax! Hahahahha! Take it in Kit Kats. We are a Reese's family here but Kit Kats could work. *G*

Chris I wondered how you were doing, I saw the fire on TV yesterday. I can't believe how this is happening in NJ and still no rain. I hope you are doing ok.
Our fire in Livingston is still burning but contained and we can't smell the smoke at much, you can still see it though. Take care and I hope you feel better too. :heartpumppink: @faerywings
We got a notice that is currently 30% contained. Yesterday must have been brutal since the winds were whipping most of the day. The road that they closed is the one I take to get to my parents and brother's houses. We got a sprinkle of rain yesterday morning. Gary said it was like the sky sneezed and that was it. It's so bad.
I'm glad that the Livingston fire is contained but it's not good news that it is still burning. God forbid there are any loose sparks. :(
I've been keeping an eye on the 10-day forecasts and still nothing... No rain at all.
You be safe too!

We had almost an inch of rain Thursday night into Friday, it was so parched around here already with no rain in almost 2 months. The Twin Cities got ice I snow, we were lucky, it stayed rain & not quite sleet. Halloween was cold, we went out to my crazy Sil's. She is a sweet motor mouth, think Energizer Bunny on massive amounts of steroids, talking in a screech voice at 90 miles an how. I love her, she's as sweet as can be, but holey moley she was extra wound up. Tons of food, she's a food pusher who doesn't eat. I had 3 small glasses of wine, skipped every high calorie treat, ate carrots and cucumbers all night and gained 4 pounds, good grief. She had gift packs of brownies & cookies. We skipped those, but did take the bottle of wine gift. It's fun, better than answering the doorbell and the nieces & nephews bring all of their little kids out. I did get a chance to chat with her son, the widower that I spent every day the last 2 1/2 months with his wife so he could do his automotive work on sheriff's dept cars out in his shop. After a year and a half he's found love again and I'm so happy to see light in his eyes again and a smile on his face. I know Tammy had a hand in it.
Christian came with his dad, decided he's too grown up for a costume this year.. Lauren stayed with mom they picked up her friend for Trick or Treat. Son looked like he was mad about something yet again, wouldn't even look at me so who knows.

Stomach was still a little off yesterday. I have bloodwork on Friday for my physical the following Friday. Did our Christmas cards yesterday, sure glad I didn't finish them, because Shutterfly does their 10 free card thing in November. If anyone wants a card, send me a pm. It's a tradition I'm not ready to let go of yet. I have to get after a quick letter, I usually have it printed on the reach of the card, but because there's not enough room, it's kind of written with minimal words & it drives Wendell crazy that it's not complete sentences• I'm not allowed to decorate for Christmas until the cards are done so I have to get cracking because I still have the dust to shovel the dust out of the house and November 11 is almost here , yes, I'm that person. Sending love and hugs to all of you @vickyday get that wrist fixed @faerywings I'm not a betting person, but I'd guess not @BrightEyes ceiling fan hanging by wire overhead, yah not good, @AK_Tracy 8 inches wowzah, I hope you have a countdown check off or tear off, I know I did, my last year, @mimes1 a job isn't work if you love it, you've blossomed doing your work.

EHD is fixed! As usual, when I plug it into the Samsung, it comes up with an error and does the scan and fix, no problem.......so far that has been the case, anyway! It doesn't tell me what the problem is, just fixes it.
Thanks for the hugs! I miss my dad.....probably more so than mom!
My next DEXA scan will be next June with this naturopathic doctor I'm going to. It may turn out that I have to go the RX route, too. I pray not! I pray the bone broth, moving more, and the supplements at least stabilize the osteoporosis!

Good morning O's

As of right now, I am not -- repeat-- *not* --working on HS curriculum. I need a mental break. Let's see how long that lasts.

I'm betting you change your mind. I know youre thinking about it now. Its perking like coffee in the back of your mind. :heartpumppink: :giggle4:
The weather and plowing must not be helping but I bet you are used to it.
We also had to pull it off the roof of the garage so we were outside a lot yesterday. Just feeling more run down then normal. But yeah, its normal.
Driver's tax! Hahahahha! Take it in Kit Kats. We are a Reese's family here but Kit Kats could work. *G*
Reeses is a very close second and yes I did take a couple of those.
it was like the sky sneezed
:floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Today. Well its today. Wish I could crawl back into bed and call it a day. The weather is being a stinker. Its 36* and too warm!!!!! We got some rain yesterday and the roads ......... oh man the roads are not fun. Well, they are but only for those who know how to play and stay on the road. They're slick and ugh I need the temps to go back down. Too much snow to have it rain and melt now.

Twin @JeanneMN you were busy on Halloween. Sounds like a fun party. And I think cucumbers have way more calories then candy :giggle4: They do cause bloat for me though.

YEah Vicky! @vickyday glad the EHD is fixed and youre up and running again.

Good Morning,
Nothing in the works but scrapping for me today. I'm waiting to hear back from Mediterranka for permission to use her products on my ATCs, but I'm ordering some of the other October CP to work with. I've looked over all of the regular challenges and want to start working on those today.
It's nice and sunny and warm here today, I guess an Indian summer! The clover has even bloomed out in the yard again!
Have a wonderful day!

Do you sell your ATC? Just curious why you need permission. A day to sit back and scrap sounds lovely, so long as your wrist doesn't hurt.

Good afternoon my friends,

It's dark, gloomy and kind of chilly here today. We were going to go run errands, but neither one of us (Adrienne and me) feel up to it. We're hoping (well, we have to) go tomorrow. I'm running out of a few things and Adrienne said their cupboards were pretty bare. I fixed a big portion of a veggie bowl and mushroom risotto last night, so I'll have the leftovers from that. I love when I already have dinner fixed.

Chris @faerywings I don't feel that great today - my right arm where I got the shingles vaccine is pretty sore and hard to lift. I never (knock on wood) have a reaction to the flu shot, so it's just the shingles vax and Adrienne said she's exhausted today. Good to know that our next shot might be worse (reaction wise). Kitty is improving - he wanted to go out today, so I let him. He came back in pretty quickly and is in my bedroom again, curled up on my rug. '

I read all of your posts and wish I felt up to doing personals. I'm not feeling much better as the day goes on.

Hugs to ALL of you and XOXO.

Late getting in here today. Been working on LOs most of the day. Tried to find kits to use for the 52 Inspiration challenge but nothing rang the bell... Will give it a couple of weeks... maybe the Nov 52 Insp kits will have something I can use. @faerywings I am with you.... I don't use buttons on my layouts so that one will be a real challenge for me. Couldn't even find flairs that would work so far!!! :sad2: BTW,, love your Storybook/fantasy LO... and that helped me so I could get that challenge done.

Haven't had lunch so really need to get something to eat. BBL

(*whispers* Is it though? I hate hate hate the time change)

Did everyone have a nice Saturday? I did a little bit of everything yesterday, including pretending to be a cartoon klutz. I was vacuuming under the bathroom heating registers when my shoelace got caught on the sticky-outie-thingy you wrap the cord on. The next thing I knew, I was doing that flailing of the arms and legs with the silly noises in my head, a la Scooby Do. My friend asked if I wanted to go for a walk but I felt it better to rest my ankle where I landed a little funny on it.

You see that little fancy shirt? Grammarly thinks that my Soooby Do/cartoon klutz/sticky-outie-thingy ramblings sound "Formal."
Bwuahahahah!

Anyway- back to the formal and proper recounting of my day.
I have most of the Halloween stuff back in the attic, which is nice. I started my food shopping list, I cleaned the kitchen and bathrooms, and I scrapped a page for Jeanne's fantasy challenge.
To anyone who guessed that I would end up doing a little lesson planning, you know me way too well. :giggle4:

I have a little more housework I have to do today and get ready for the week. I don't want to jinx myself but it should be relatively calm (activity and responsibility-wise at least).
*knocking in wood and throwing salt and any other superstition that might work on counteracting what I just did*

Wishing all of you a lovely day!♥

I hope that your stomach is 100% on the mend.

@vickyday Yippeeeee about the EHD getting fixed! You have all my good thoughts that your next DEXA is showing improvement.
I'm betting you change your mind. I know youre thinking about it now. Its perking like coffee in the back of your mind. :heartpumppink: :giggle4:
One of my college professors always said that-- to let the lessons and ideas percolate in your mind, to allow yourself to rework and refine your planning. And yup, those thoughts and ideas and activities seem to be always rumbling about in my head.
I hope that you aren't feeling run down still. Hang in there. :hug3:

Vicky- the weather is beyond weird- it is in the 30s right now, but we will be close to 70 again this week. And *still* no rain in sight. The brush fire on the border of my town is now 50% contained so it is getting better but sheesh-- scary how dry it all is.

@Cherylndesigns Did you take any Advil or Tylenol for the arm soreness? I try to remember to take some right before I go for the vax appt. That doesn't help the fatigue but eases some of the machines.
So glad that Sam is doing better. Has Daisy stopped watching over him yet?

@BrightEyes LOL that you are having trouble with the button part of the 52 Ins. Challenge I *loathe* buttons. I won't wear clothes that have buttons on them since I was a kid. Never used them in paper scrapping and won't use them in digital scrapping.

Good morning all,

So, we "fell back" and I just realized it. I have two clocks that don't change automatically - the stove and the microwave. I JUST got them reset from a power surge, so now I have to do it again. I kept walking by the stove and saw the time, then picked up my phone and realized the time changed.

Chris @faerywings that's so funny about Grammarly - not so funny about your almost falling. Man, it can happen fast. Sam is so much better! He came and sat on my lap last night while I was watching TV. He loves to do that and whenever I sit down, here he comes. Ava's theory is he was just exhausted from his day and a half "adventure". She's probably right - her cat is an outside cat too and she does strange things. I say all the time that I'd love to put a tracker on him to see how many miles his little legs take him when he's out all night.

It's raining here - hard and has been raining most of the night. The water is running like a river in my driveway. We're planning on going grocery shopping today, but I'm not crazy about going out in the pouring down rain. Hopefully, it will clear up.

Vicky, have a great day scrapping and at church. Enjoy your chili.

Hugs to ALL and Happy Sunday. XOXO

Another hectic weekend for this old retired lady of leisure......LOL
Friday night we had 6 friends over for dinner and we had a blast. Someone across the pond had a party till 3:30 s I didn't get much sleep. Saturday 9:00 I met friends at the club then we weeded the gardens while some built a new wall. We all went out to the local seafood restaurant for dinner then Jay invited them all over for a nightcap, it was fun with lots of laughs! Last night I heard noise outside (we sleep with our slider open) and this morning there were lots of feathers at the edge of the pond.
This morning 7:30 we went to a friend house to get white rock gravel for using at the club. Raking and shoveling it with 3 other people. we made 4 trips in the truck. all spread where we weeded so it looks awesome now. 3 hours later- back hurts- shoulders are hurting even my replacement one hurts a little, now I'm sure I need the other one replaced!!!
Monarch Update-3 released, 3 in chrysalis and 4 on the way to the top of habitat, only 1 eater but it's nearly ready for the climb.

@vickyday --picture taking sounds like fun. Glad you EHD was an easy fix.

@BrightEyes wow I never heard of anyone not having button clothing- That is amazing. I am going to make my button page soon and now I will think of you.

@AK_Tracy so with the temps above freezing your roads are mud? is that what you are saying. Do you live on a dirt road?

To all of you dealing with fall/winter weather we are enjoying the best here in FL. nice work in the yard weather, A/C not on Heat not on. nice breeze, sunshine every day with lower humidity. I talked to the oldest grandson yesterday he was wearing a hoodie and had the heat on, now I know why I winter here.

@JeanneMN Wow that sounds like quite a party...wine and veggies...perfect. How nice to see everyone.

Popping in now that I have another Challenge LO finished and uploaded this morning (#4 - Border Only). One of my favorite challenges to do as I love making borders.

@BrightEyes wow I never heard of anyone not having button clothing- That is amazing. I am going to make my button page soon and now I will think of you.
I use buttons on my clothes... just don't use them for digiscrapping LOs. It was @faerywings - Chris who doesn't use buttons on her clothes or scrapping.

@faerywings So sorry you almost fell. Hope your ankle isn't hurt too badly. Hope you get some rain in your area and it helps put the fires out.

@Cherylndesigns So glad to hear that Sam is feeling more like himself after his day and a half adventures. Are most of the gang recovered from their sick spells??

I need to get the clocks set back. The only clocks that did the auto-reset was the computer and the cell phone. I need to dig out the landline phone instructions as I can't remember how to reset it. Then I need to get my shower. I was going to go to Smith's but it clouding up and rain is expected to start soon... so that is on hold. The fall/winter temps have arrived so time to put the sweats on. Snow may arrive by Tuesday... brrr!!! :cold: :brrr:

HI Everyone, Just got home from Sunday School and church. It's a beautiful day! Mark and I are going to spend today moving furniture around, because.....Belle is moving home! She should be here by the end of the year. She's a preschool teacher and she has a job interview on 11/25 in the preschool associated with the preschool - 12th grade school that's a part of our church. I'm excited at the possibility that we could work at the same place! There are many parent/child employees at work - it would be fun to be one of them. We'd be at different campuses though. In any event, we are playing musical rooms here, organizing, purging (again). We just did this three weeks ago, but I don't mind. There will be another new normal here!

Then we have a certain garden bed outside that needs some tending before anyone complains. With Mark's shoulder, and mine isn't much better, it's lapsed a little.

@BoatLady I need more coffee just reading all your activities! You are one busy lady!! It sounds like such a fun community that you are living in, with all the work parties, and fun parties that you all have!!

@vickyday Church and scrapping sounds like a glorious way to spend the day!
@faerywings Thank you for starting these threads everyday! It's such a joy to read everything, I love your humor, and such a fun way to get to know everyone. I'm thankful for this thread and having found you all.

Hope you all have a great rest of the day!

OOOPS so sorry for my mix up.

I need a nap after reading your post!

Roads are paved. They're just rough like a dirt road. The snow melted halfway, froze, didn't get plowed well and it was a rattle of a ride this weekend. Its snowing again but still not cold enough so it could melt. Its just gross.

Hi all,

Popping back in - I forgot to tell Chris @faerywings that I have been taking Tylenol. My right arm feels normal today - it's the arm I got the shingles vax in. Adrienne said her arm just started feeling normal today too. I guess we're on the mend.

Kay @BrightEyes everybody in the gang is finally feeling better. Finally. We went to the grocery store today and Adrienne said she's still exhausted, but I've felt less exhausted today. Sam just let me know he wanted to go out - that's a wonderful sign because he's usually out more than he's in. I reluctantly let him out. I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow if he's not better. He's jumping up on the dryer to eat and he's been drinking the whole time.

I have to brag on myself a little bit. I put undercounter lights in my kitchen today! Yay me. I have them set on motion right now, so they come on whenever I go into the kitchen. Chuck had put some up for me, but they pooped out, so I replaced them. The old ones were battery powered, and you know how long batteries last - not very long. These are rechargeable - I love them so much that I'm going to get some more and put them inside my cupboards so I can see what's in there. You can put them anywhere - the longest it took was charging the batteries the first time. I charged them overnight. Then, they came with practically NO instructions, so I had to watch a video to figure out how to program them.

It's starting to rain hard again and it's in the 60's. We made it into town to the grocery in a little "window" and now it's pouring again.
