Hello and Happy Monday to you all! I hope that everyone had a fun/relaxing weekend.
I feel like the weekend didn't even happen. Or it did and it was just same old s***, different day

Honestly, I don't know what I did yesterday. It was one of those days. I "clipped" digital coupons and glanced through the sale papers for the supermarket. Played with rats and dogs. Boiled chicken and rice for J who is throwing up a lot again. Dug up rocks and compost. Cooked dinner. Talked to various family members several times. Tried to start a scrap challenge.

I was able to talk to my mom a couple of times. She focused 100% on the one cardiologist saying that the Cath. was "elective," meaning that is wasn't an *immediate* emergency, as in total heart failure. Thinking that this is "elective" to her means that she is now trying to get herself discharged so she can "organize her papers" before she gets the procedure done. We are all trying to get her to realize that isn't going to happen/is a bad idea, (getting discharged) but she is struggling with it. I was able to suggest to her that she speak to a social worker about some stuff and I think she is going to try to do that. She told me that I was very smart and appreciates my brain. (that is hilarious!!! *snorts!!!*) Told her is all school of life.;)

I am going to see her this afternoon with my dad. This morning I need to get ready for food shopping. I think I am doing that tomorrow. I have a small chalkboard on my fridge for the week's schedule.
I have ? listed for each day. hahaha!!! Big difference from what we expected for this week's schedule. Pack/beach/beach/beach/unpack It is what it is. It could be worse.

What good plans do you have for this week? Have a great one!

Nancy- happy belated birthday to your DH! What did you decide to do? You know what we would do here-- stay in, much more relaxing to us. LOL That chicken sounds amazing! What did you fry the veggies in/seasoned? I have a few cherry tomatoes and some summer squash that I am not sure what to do with. Might be a good recipe to try and copy.
Oh, yes-- that is exactly what I said to Cait-- my mom should view this as a mini-vacation! I am looking forward to some warmer temps here. I am hoping that maybe if my mom is able to, we might get another warm day or so in October like we have in the past few years and take a day trip down the shore. Looking through my photos, I think we have been there in October almost every year for the last 4-5. One year I got sunburn on my neck where I missed a spot with sunscreen and it is always strange to be in shorts on the beach and then see the houses decorated for Halloween :p
Oh wow!!! That is coming up fast- Oct 8. Are you feeling ready for it all? Do you think it will be easier than the first one? You know we are all rooting for you!

Felis- whew! Thank goodness, you were able to save your post when you lost power. I am very happy that you are enjoying the weather. There will be plenty of time to scrap when it is too cold to be out there for long.
My BFF asked me how I was holding up with my mom, and I told her I was so focused on mediating between my brother and dad and her that I had no time or energy for any other worries. LOL
One good thing is that my dad recognizes that we both can say the same thing to her and she will listen to me and not him so he will run things through me as much as possible. I have a better way of handling her so she will listen. I also suggested to her that a Social Worker will help her find the right words to communicate with my dad. And then there is Caitlyn who said scolded her yesterday that if she tried to leave the hospital that she would kick her ass. hahaha! Only Cait could get away with that and make my mom laugh. :D
Thank you for the hugs!!

xoxo to all of you too!

good morning - I am in heaven I am watching the rookie tournament being held in Buffalo as the Devils are playing the Bruins. It is so fun to see hockey again. Yesterday me and my sons took my DH out to one of the best meals we have had in a while. We all love Thai food and there is one in our town and I got a recommendation from one of the people I do wellness swimming with said he uses it all the time. Well we were all so happy! It was just spicy enough for me as I had red curry, my DH and oldest had duck and my youngest Pad Thai. And then for dessert sticky rice with mango. Needless to say we went home happy. Got more scrapping done as I watched football, tennis and baseball. Looks like both area teams Jets and Giants will be bad. OH well. More scrapping today. Also must go grocery shopping Yuck!

Chris yes that is the recipe. Have fun it was really good. Yes your mom should stay in the hospital. Hope as you work with your dad and brother your mom will listen to you. Glad Cait too is there to help!

Felis glad you saved post! Enjoy these last days!

Waving to all have a great day.

Happy Monday everyone!! I am Happy that the rain has finally started to fall, although it doesn't look like we will get very much of it :pout: I never in a million years thought that out here on the Wet Coast I would be wishing for rain LOL. It is sad to see the trees and plants so stressed from the lack of moisture! Anyway today will be hopefully less busy than the weekend was and I would love to get a page done today and perhaps get back to my painting also. DH was busy making more cradle wood canvases for me, he is getting really good at it and is doing nice work! Hooray, he has found something that he enjoys doing other than yard work LOL. We have been discussing his retirement a lot lately and we have decided to give the Air B&B thing a go, so we are looking at doing some reno's to the suite downstairs and getting it ready to go for our new business venture. Still no set date as DH will most likely work for one more year? We will see.

Chris - Hope that you can convince your Mother to stay where she is and she is right you are a very wise woman!! So glad that you have Cait there to help you out with everything too. Good luck getting your shopping list done, shopping for food is not my fav thing to do either! Say hi to your Mom from all of us here and wish her well! I hope she listens to your good advice!

Nancy - Happy Belated Birthday wishes to your hubby!! Sounds like you all had a wonderful time at the Thai restaurant! I love Thai food also, but sadly no good places to have it around here  Forgot to tell you that I actually watched some Tennis the other day when Bianca took the title away from Serena. DH had been watching more than me but it was very exciting for us Canadians to see! I see you have been very busy scrapping again, love your pages so much! I really need to get going with mine!! Yikes October 8 is coming up fast for you! It will be so great to have it all over and done with though! Hoping you do as well as you did with the first replacement!

Felis - Yes it is nicer to be outside and busy when the temps are a bit cooler and you will have the entire long winter to do your scrapping!! Glad that you were able to save your post after the power outage! Enjoy your time in the lovely cooler weather!

Well I have to drop off a Norwex order to a customer today so I better get in the shower and get this day going. I am sure Heather and Hunter will be calling soon to let me know how their weekend went. The boys wanted to camp out in the backyard in the tent, so it will be fun to hear how that went! Have a great day everyone!

Good afternoon girls,
I often laugh when Chris do this, to say: " I don't know what I did yesterday" and then followed from list of completed tasks. Come on girl, don't understate the housewife life at this way! You are did great job, bravo! I had one of these 'don't know what' kind of days, with boring home tasks as cleaning and gardening, rewarded by play with the kids.

Then I had the most strange dream this night. I was Bridget Jones, but also myself and was trying to convince Colin Firth's mom to adopt one of my kittens, till he was asking me on date. So he distract me from my duty. And then the evil (but extremely handsome) Hugh Grant comes and messed up everything as he convinced Mrs. Firth to insist not for the fostering kitten, but one which is my own. I refused, and Colin get angry, and stolen this cat anyway. So Hugh somehow convinced me to help me to get back my cat. Then start some spy part when he climbing building to get in thru the balcony, and I had to watch someone to not catch him. Who knows where this go if the clock alarm wasn't spoiled the moment  !

In any other day I can just turn it off and continued to sleep, but NOT today, as I have to go to the printing house, so I had to wake up and prepare. I'm covering one coworker who is out of the town and I have to hand over both batches. As she is made it perfectly I'll not have trouble with that, and hope this to clear part of my bad karma around the previous case, when I had to refuse to help. As you see same old same old.

So, Chris, I guess you'll have to add your parents in your schedule for a long time now. Hmm wasn't you who was wondering how will handle the empty nest  . This is why we rise childs, after all. ITA with the other you are very wise woman, so caring daughter and also on your turn have lovely children! It's nice to have Cait for back up!

Trudy, so lovely to have what to do together and future business venture too! My dad also have one year before his retirement and it's so worried what will be, as he can just sit and enjoy, always have to do something with his hands. So it is very important for the confidence to have some realistic plan. His last idea was to raise chickens... um.. wait in the same yard where all these cats walk?! ... yeah it's sounds safe. He actually own another land, so it's not fair to concentrate on this which I use, but who knows, will see whats coming. As we said here: just to have long live and good health!
Oh camp out in the backyard, so cute! The neighbors kids was on visit here and they was pretend that cats are tigers, kids have such a sweet imagination.

Nancy , your husband's party sounds awesome! And must be nice to enjoy your hockey again! I guess this is another sign that autumn is here. Typically for me I'm far behind with commenting pages, but I saw your lovely layout and even this on Kay for the grandkids! Excellent work, girls!
