My baby is 22 today!
That sounds so crazy to me. I am getting O.L.D. hahaha!!!

How was your weekend? Mine was kind of a mixed bag. I got stuff done yesterday but not much and definitely not enough to get my head in "working mode." I still feel very adrift. Hopefully, I can get a bit more done today.
Even though it is Cait's birthday today, she has meetings and classes from 9 am to 8 pm with short breaks in between. We are celebrating tomorrow. Thank goodness, that gives me a tiny bit of time to wrap her gift and make a card. ( :gossip: shh, don't tell her but I bought a painting from Leah for her, it is a small coffin-shaped table stand painting in blacks, pinks, and purples. )

Other than that, I need to finish food shopping for tomorrow and then do some more random work around the house. Hugs!

Kay- That is nice that you and DD had a happy and yummy visit. She takes good care of you, doesn't she? Yeah, holidays are going to be rough this year.
How is your sister feeling, I cannot imagine how much it has to take out of her.
Good luck with the computer stuff, my fingers and toes are crossed that the log-ins stick.

Trudy- I have been wondering how your ILs have been adapting. Why in the world would they be trying to do yard work? (please don't remind me that I would be doing the same at their age ;) ) Did your Gary do ok on the ladder, I know worry about his knees?
The only good thing about fall is decoarting for Halloween. We usually do that before Cait's b-day since she is Ms Spooky Personified (Her nickname was Pooky when she was a baby but I switched that to Spooky by the time she was 5 or 6. ) but I haven't been able to get into the attic myself.
Great news about the pool! I hope that the rules are both strong enough to keep you safe and flexible enough that you are able to go. (makes sense?)

Cheryl- The party sounds like it was so much fun! Was it strange being around so many people? It has to be the best to have your family all around you. Sounds like heaven!

HAGD!!!

Just a quick hello. DH will be ending H&S soon and then we're off for groceries. Friday we got our flu shots in a drive-thru setup in the parking lot of the senior center done by the Walgreens across from there. It was just for seniors and by appointment and the weather was perfect if a little cool. Yesterday was football all day, but our team played Thursday, so no worries about them.

Chris, tell Cait :HapBirth: The gift will be so perfect. Still can't quite accept that RGB is gone. Devastating. I try thinking about other things instead. Like my art teacher let me know a nearby park center is having an art show in the winter that all can enter with insect/arachnid inspired art. I'm going to go for it.

Hope everyone's week is starting well.

Good Monday morning everyone! It is cloudy, but not smokey so I am happy! We did lots of work at MIL and FIL's yesterday and thankfully it was not too warm, but sunny. Turns out that the gutters did not need cleaning, there was a downspout that was not connected and so that was the reason for the water flowing everywhere. So DH only had to reconnect the downspout and only had to be on the ladder for a very short amount of time. Whew!! We did get all the geranium plants and pots removed from the front deck and believe it or not there were about thirty of them along with all the little knic knacks and figurines that she has spread all over the upper and lower decks there had to have been 100 of them :loco: Then we had to clean them out and dry them and put them into storage until next spring. I have to admit that my MIL is on very organized woman and she has place for everything and everything is in its place!! Her and I got the garage all organized and tidy and I even convinced her to get rid of a few things, which is very hard for her to do LOL. So I did all the heavy lifting and bending over while she pointed out where everything went. We make a good team LOL. DH and his Dad got the deck all spic and span and power washed it all. Then they put the heavy tables that were down by the waterfront away for the winter. What will happen next spring?? Guess only time will tell. MIL seemed to be happy and she looked really well, FIL however is definitely changing and my DH noticed quite a few things that he did were just not right  Today SIL will be joining MIL and FIL for a conference call from the doctor at the stroke clinic, so we hope that it all goes well. My Gary and I got home just in time for a glass of wine on the deck before the sun went down and then we threw together a quick supper and both crashed around 9:30  Had a great sleep after all that fresh air! So today I need to get my housework done and hopefully I will have some time to do some scrapping or card making or maybe some painting??

Chris :HapBirth: to Caitlyn!! I hope that she loves her gift, so nice that you got her something from Leah!! Yes Autumn has arrived and I even had to turn the heat on this morning, it was very cool in here!! Rain will start tomorrow and I don't think we will see the sun again for over a week. :mmph: Supposed to rain heavy for my hike day too so double :mmph: :mmph: Hope that you get some time to spend getting ready for Caitlyn's birthday and that you get your card made for her. Sounds like things are getting worse here in Canada with COVID so me might be having to do more changes in the way we gather together again. What will Christmas be like this year?? I don't even want to think about it.

Ok I will get going with this day and start by getting my :washing: done then bathrooms to clean and floors to mop. Have a great Monday everyone!

Happy Tuesday!! Daisy and I did our daily walk and it's just beautiful out. The trucks are running up and down the hill today and kicking up MAJOR dust storms. But - that means that they're working on, at least, one of our houses. I can't see up there - we have to drive up and might do that this evening. We always hate to impede progress by taking another vehicle up there. Half the time, we get in the chaos and have trouble getting out of it. Chuck will have to pick Braden up after football and take him up to our granddaughters, so he can see if there's been any progress made today.

I'm so glad I showed you all the things that were going on here - now you have an idea. If anybody needs to see the album (maybe you didn't see the link) here it is again. I'd be happy to email it to any of you if you'll let me know. That way, you'll get a notification whenever I add new pictures. https://photos.app.goo.gl/v8dZ9jC9md2vaRqy5

Happy birthday to Caitlyn!!! I hope she's had a wonderful day! Chris - you think YOU feel O.L.D.? I have a grandson who's 23!! YIKES!!

Jean, glad you guys got your flu shots. That's so nice that they had a drive-through! I'd love to find one of those! You all keep reminding me that we haven't gotten ours yet.

Trudy, glad the work day went so well for you! Hurray for pretty large victories. It normally goes the other way and you have more work to do than you anticipated.

Hope all is sailing along - Hugs to all.
