Happy middle-of-September Monday! I am so not sure how I feel about that. I am leaning way more to the "arrrrrrghhhhh" than the "wheeeeeeeeee" for that. Yes, Autumn decorating and cooking is always nice. But I need a bit more time to be in the sun. Well, there is nothing much that I can do about the calendar and clock.

I don't know if I can say if I had a productive day yesterday or not. I didn't have a bad one so I am very happy about that. I was able to be out in the yard for a while. I am cutting down the morning glory vines and collecting the seeds. I really need to suck it up and buy a couple of packets of seeds with some different colors. They had them on sale at the Tractor Supply store in town, I just didn't want to have to buy them. Isn't it funny that I can drop $100 on my dogs at the vet and not blink an eye but to spend $5 on seeds, I cannot do it?

I really have to stay on task today and this week. I have to get ready for the party but I am also in the midst of making my ILs a birthday gift and I am stupid about it. But I started and I can't stop, won't stop, hahaha!! I saw this cute, rustic fall centerpiece on Pinterest and I am crocheting little grey cable-knit pumpkins for it. I am not getting very far. I have 15 rows done out of 40 for the first one. At the rate I am going, I might have one pumpkin done by next week.

At least I am not doing a lot of cooking for the party. My brother and I are ordering a couple of trays of food from his favorite restaurant. It is a small, family-owned Italian place that he has been going to for about 10 years. They know my family well so he can ask them to do whatever dietary restrictions that are needed. I will clean/dust/vacuum but ATM I don't feel the need to do more than that. (Check in with me the day before the party. Feel free to laugh at me as I scramble to get the bathroom grout cleaned with a toothbrush!)

So that is about it. I am waiting to hear what day I am going with my mom to her next Dr appt. And I have to get ready for food shopping-- wish I knew what to cook again...(yup, same old, same old...:p )

Hugs!!!!

Jean- sorry that you are feeling non-talkative. I get that. I am struggling with scrapping too. I am so uninspired. Have you been able to do any more of your MM work or paintings?
Good luck on the talk tonight and next week as well.

Felis- Nope, no such thing as too much coffee! :tea:
I am so happy that you had a fun Sunday and Saturday night with your dad and Tiny.
What cute little mice!!!! Thank you for your support. I am one of those people who sees *everything* in shades of grey. No black and white in my world which is both very good and very difficult. I want to protect both of my parents and I see that my dad is justified in some of his frustrations. But at this very moment, my mom's health is the most important factor and I don't know how to get that into his head. blergh.

Hugs to all of you!

good morning - yesterday and Sat were busy. Sat my son invited us all for dinner. Just backyard BBQ. Walked Luther. Watched sports, scrapped knitted. My DH cleaned out our two front closets. He found things he had been searching for for years LOL. I watched hockey a game and not a repeat but the first preseason game. It was between the Vegas and Phoenix. It was so good to see hockey is back. Tonight I have my first preseason home game. I am so excited!

Chris I too cannot believe we are in the middle of Sept. Glad you are going to make the bash less stressful. Ordering out is winning!

Have a great day all.

Morning, gals. Wow... had a wonderful cool Sunday - high of 69 - with rain off and on. Actually had to put on long pants as I was chilled when I got home from church. Really felt like fall was finally here. Unfortunately it won't last... back up into the mid-80's today and the rest of the week.

Heard from DSon Jim... he is having a blast with his band friends. They have rented a big house on a lake for a week. They try to get together every year.

I was bummed when I was checking out my new music CDs. Turns out that I already had the John Denver songs on another album I already have. Thank goodness I checked it out before I opened the package. Will be taking it back...< sigh > I am happy with the other CDs.

I am not going anywhere today.... the President is here in town so roads, etc will be crowded or blocked at times. So will stay home and scrap. LOL

Chris, you have the right idea... bringing in the food for the bash is the right way to go. Had to LOL over you thinking you need to clean the grout with a toothbrush right before the big bash... bet no one will be checking the cleanliness of the grout!!!!

Nancy, so glad you had a nice time with your son.... the barbecue sounds wonderful. Isn't it amazing what you find in closets that haven't been cleaned out in awhile. Bet your DH was happy to find those 'lost' things.

Hope you all have a nice week.

Morning ladies and Happy Monday! It is still raining here and I just talked with my MIL who says that the lake is slowly rising again Hooray!! It feels like a real fall day and that is ok as I am going to have a busy day today! The commission painting that I am doing has to be done either today or tomorrow as the person who wants it only has the opportunity to pick it up this weekend YIKES!! Sure hope it is dry by then!! It is massaive at 26X60 inches and there will be a ton of paint on it. Keep your fingers crossed for me that it turns out well!! She says that the people who live in the complex where she lives have similar walls that are hard to decorate so I might be getting lots of orders. That would be nice for sure!! I won't get my hopes up too high though. So I need to quickly get out of here and get to the dollar store to pick up some large cups to get this done! Sorry I have been so absent from here, I hope to be a much better CherryO after this painting is done! Hope you all have a super day !

Hello lOvelies,
I know exactly how I'm feel about the autumn = love it. I enjoy to the temperatures, colors, smells, everything! From few days I had very strange afternoons: a small flock of gray birds comes at my garden and get party with the wild vine fruits. I was thought that these grapes are poisonous, but looks like birds have different information. Even if the grape not affect birds, there is a few little devils napping near to the naughty company. Which is bad combination. I'm enjoying a lot of the company of the birds that comes to eat morello, something like Magpies and hooded crow. But they comes alone or in couple, stays very quiet and on the hight. These little buddies are very noisy and just walk at the grass. I'm really disappointed that I haven't better camera, you probably knows their kind. I was trying to catch them with the cellphone, but it's not work. I'm try to chase them away, but they come back again. Looks like they like the risk. It's funny and frustrating at the same way. They aren't scared from plastic bags, cat bells, or floor mop used as scarecrow. They dislike some music songs, and definitely the sounds of opening the mosquito net. Oh, and looks like they observe the dog movements, but totally ignore the cats, which is so ridiculous.

Chris, I've been heard that this is the right way to looks on the life. Everything is in the nuances, they said and "Sometimes there are shades of gray.". Ohh, these family things are so complicated! Hope the party to be great, as you sounds as definitely needs a little fun! L O L my family is the same about the seeds and pets. In bonus my mom have this very embarrassing (me) habit to collect seeds from the pots afront of the restaurants and stores. It's not as they grow at all, nope never, I don't know why she continue to try! It's sad that it's illegal to mail seeds. I was enthusiastic to exchange roses for tulips with one friend from Netherlands, but the post office here forced you to shows everything that sent. I respect the biodiversity and the need to keep it safe, but the irony is that I'm able to buy via mail the same tulips if I paid to online store, but not direct from friend.

Nancy, you are had a lovely weekend and that's so nice! The best is when you found that these forgotten clothes still fits you well! :)

Trudy, the painting will turns out excellent I'm sure! And fingers crossed these upcoming sales that it can bring, to happens!

Kay, how bad that you are duplicate one of the albums whit previous purchase, and I hope you'll be able to replace it! Or you have great gift for some of your friends for the upcoming holidays.
