Good morning and Happy Monday, O-Fam!
I slept like a rock until 3 am and then I was restless the rest of the night. I am all pooped out. I just finished mug #3 of coffee so that should kick in soon.

The table is all done and we got to eat at it yesterday. I was a bit nervous since I had cooked dinner in a cast-iron skillet so I used a tablecloth (unheard of in my house!) and put down a potholder and trivet. *Maybe* that was a bit overdone but after 5 days of working on it, I was protecting it like it was my baby, heh. The window shelf is also done and I can start putting my plants back later on today. I have chairs set in front of them because Jaida jumps at the sill if people come to the door. We have been trying to train her not to do that for over 4 years with no luck. I painted one rung on the chair with the chalk paint just to see how it will cover and I think it is going to look really nice (eventually!).

I made a really yummy dinner and dessert. Dinner was sauteed asparagus with loads of garlic, then mixed with orzo, butter, lemon juice, and parmesan cheese. Dessert was an apple caramel "cake" -- a Pillsbury mix recipe. And I finally finished my LO for the color challenge. Yes, I did all of that in between my staining/painting. See why I am exhausted today? ;)

I have declared today a Day to Do Nothing. Gary has been teasing me that he is going to need to strap me to the bed so I don't start working on more projects. I want to scrap. As in really take my time and create something fun. But first, I have to prep for food shopping and laundry. But that is *it!* Really. I mean, it... really!!!!

love to everyone

Karen- Oh my goodness-- that sounds like it was difficult to live through for that long. I am literally grimacing as I read about the drywallers come and you having Thanksgiving right after. (I have bad memories of having drywallers here the week before Christmas and them telling me very day -- "sure we will be done spackling before that." All lies. ) I hope that you have much better luck than I.
Will your HOA pay for the repairs done outside?
Poor Joey- I hope that his leg feels better and that all of you can get some sleep.

Kay- good for you for listening to your body and resting while you need to. I just remembered that I had a dream last night that I had a Lyme relapse. Ugh!!! I am going to take that as a warning to myself to make sure that I rest today, a lot. That is the last thing I need to deal with.
What a crazy difference in your weather too. Is it early to have a freeze? I brought a couple of my potted herbs in last week. I always try to save the annuals over the winter but the basil never makes it. The rosemary- about half of the time.

Nancy- yikes, that is a big loss. I hope the rest of the games you watched had better outcomes. Is tomorrow the big day?

good day! I got my phone call from my surgeon's and I am first on the list for tomorrow so that means be at the hospital by 5:30. I am so glad that it is early! I may have to be up early but not sure I would be sleeping soundly anyway LOL. I updated my iPhone and I have to say I am liking two of the new features I have tried out - one is dark mode. It really makes it easier to read messages and other things. Then in iTunes I love to see the lyrics and now if you select that they part that is being sung is highlighted and it seems to do it in sync with the music. How fun! I have not been doing much as I am nervous LOL. But the boys have been really good and not asking too much of me and let me just watch my sports. My DH made shepherds pie. It was delish but I still have trouble eating lamb so I just pretended it was ground beef but with the onions, garlic, rosemary and mashed potatoes I could not even tell.

Chris wow you were busy! So glad you are so happy with the table especially after all that work. Yes take a rest day! Your dinner sounds yummy. I really like orzo and garlic!

Waving to all. I will post when I can.

Morning, all... slept in until after 8AM... I am usually up by 5 or 6. Woke up feeling better this morning so hope that means I am on the mend. I really need to go to the grocery store - out of milk and other necessary things. Will see how I feel after I get my shower and dressed.

It was nice to cuddle under the down comforter. So glad I put it on the bed yesterday. Woke up to temp of 45 so it was needed. Chris, freeze usually happens around here in mid-to-late October. The first year after we moved here (2000), we had a huge snowstorm before Halloween and very snowy winter.

The hot air balloons were up in the sky when I got up... but none were coming over our neighborhood. Just as well as I didn't want to go outside to try to get photos.

Chris, don't blame you for being protective of your refinished table... Yes, I would have a tablecloth over it and especially a trivet for any hot dishes! I think you should listen to Gary about taking it easy for a bit as you have been going like crazy on projects. So kick back and rest a bit. You certainly don't want a Lyme relapse!!! <<< hugs >>>

Karen, sure hope that the drywallers get done so it isn't such a mess when Thanksgiving gets here. What a mess you are dealing with. So much damage from the leakage... hope they get done soon.

The house has warmed up enough now that I can get my shower... CYL

Morning ladies... It is a very windy rainy day here today! I had a super busy day yesterday and felt like I spent all day in the kitchen! I helped DH bottle his red wine, made a stew, then made biscuits. After that was done I decided to make mini banana loaves for his lunches. In between all that I managed to get laundry done and get the bed changed and cleaned bathrooms. Sheesh I was on my feet all day!! So the only thing left to do today is to vacuum and wash the floors. I would love to get going on a painting today too. I have two orders that I need to get busy with! I would love to get a page done for one of the challenges too! Never enough hours in the day LOL. Had a facetime chat with Heather, Hunter and Mason this morning. Mason is home from school as he just did not want to get out of bed today, everyone is still battling a cold so it is best he stay at home and just get better!

Chris - Sounds like you and I had the same kind of day yesterday, busy, busy, busy!! So happy that you love the finish that you did on the table! I would have protected it too after all that hard work!! Please take a photo so you can show off your table! Sure hope you manage to do nothing today, although getting another scrap page done would be a nice way to spend a part of your day!

Nancy - Yikes tomorrow is the big day! That is a very early morning for you, but I guess it is better as you say you probably wouldn't be sleeping very well anyway! Sending you loads of healing thoughts, I am sure all will go well and you will be glad to be done with all of this surgery stuff!

Kay - Nice to have slept in for so long this morning! Yes I am also glad to have the down comforter on the bed, it sure makes it nice and cozy!! Hope that you are feeling much better now and you manage to get to the store for your much needed groceries! Do you have a store in town that does online shopping? That way you could put in your order and just go and pick it up or have it delivered to you. My DD loves that her local store does that and she just gets Jonah to pick it up on his way home! Anyway I guess it is good to get out of the house once in a while too LOL.

Ok I have to get the bed made and get into the shower and get going with my day! I wasted far too much time chatting it up with the grands and Heather, but such a nice way to start the day!! Sure miss everyone, it is very quiet around this house now!! Have a lovely day everyone!

Good afternoon girls!
It's been long time when I'm not stop here, but the temperatures drop drastically, so my morning dog walk is no later, and I found it very difficult to convince myself to wake up in the cool house at the mornings. I feels like I'll never could got enough sleep. And in additional my life is so boring I don't have interesting hobbies, don't go anywhere, just work and cleaning every day. If I had more interesting job maybe, but not it is also repeating of the same every day. I don't see why to make you suffer reading the same posts every day, and they are weak written.
The only things that happens today is that in our Sunday shopping somehow we are forget to buy coffee. What kind of person forget to buy coffee?! So later today I'll have to shop at my town. I know all these things, for supporting the local business, and shop from small family stores, but I really hate the shops here and don't feel guilty about that. They cry to support them, but they don't support me! The price of coffee (and most food products) is so much higher, that I'm almost tempted to survive the week on instant coffee, which we have. Don't get me wrong we buy from few local farm manufacturers, my family love the quality product, and for example we do pay more for local eggs, as I want to see that the hens are really ''happy'' (as here they marks the products from free living, grass fed animals). But I'm not OK to pay double for the same Switzerland brand coffee.

Chris, I hope that Gary really strap you to the bed, and you had one quiet lazy day, because this will be so deserved! I'm happy but not surprised that everything turned out so great! And I widely smile about Jaida story, we all have some weirdness, so this is cute and special.

Nancy, oh, I'm nervous about you too, and will wait for updates! But you are in good hands, so just wish you fast recovering this time too! Oh I would love to see the lyric of the songs, as I always put wrong text on my favorite parts, even on tune on my own language LOL !

Trudy, busy but satisfy day for you, bravo! And your swimming scores are really remarkable too!

Karen, I sorry to hear about the dog, hope you can keep him away from overload the leg! About your haircut, think out of the box, found on youtube ideas for stylize it, and get fun. Search for something as make my hair as 'Anne Hathaway inspired short hairstyles', or even try some men hairstyle, why not, just choose some actor or singer who you like and experimenting! If not now when? Why not? There is nothing to lose. Our attitude determines our mood! My favorite singer is made to himself as he called it Liza Minnelli hair, we live in unisex time.

Kay, sorry to hear that you missed the hot air balloons show, maybe the next time! Isn't a fun how tourist can travel miles to see something that residents don't get as a big deal?

Jean, the open house sounds so much fun! Did some of these guests are potential new members or just families friends? The new painting is so pretty, love these purple tones! But I'm confused from your new scrap layout. Is that real chipmunk or just sculpture? It's looks so realistic, but what she did in this bird bath?

Hugs and kisses to all, my dears!
