The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Hello hello!! How are you all doing today?
I am good, a little bit of a headache and my voice is still somewhat hoarse. I think I yelled and walked, walked and yelled for 4 hours straight at work yesterday. And had a blast the entire time.
The Girl Scout troop program was awe-some! I had 13 girls, all of whom were kind of first-timers to GS-ing as well as to being really out there in nature the entire day. The number of kids was what I expected, but they were younger. Probably 5-6th graders, which ended up being easier than 9th graders would have been. But louder and chattier than older girls. heh.
They came from Rutherford. That's where Giants Stadium is, just a few miles from NYC so a very different environment than up here. and wow, they were fascinated with everything. I was holding up a dead branch of paper birch and was trying to have them guess what kind of tree it was as I was peeling off the bark. An isopod came crawling out of a little hole in the branch and talk about a ton of girls losing their **** over a bug. In a great/positive way! They all wanted to hold it, so I flipped some more logs to give everyone a chance-- and not freak that one little isopod out too much hahah!
The best part of the day for me was at the stream, we found a red eft!! dance4
We typically find a lot of newts in the water but I haven't seen them as efts before. Man, it was *cute*!!!!
(Newt's life cycle starts in the water. As juveniles, they change into a red eft, then they return to the water as adults. It is a little different from salamanders which start in the water and then go onto the land as adults. In case anyone was wondering LOL)
I didn't get any pictures-- I was making sure that all of the girls were observing carefully- but this is what they look like:

Adorable!
The kids and parents all seemed like they were having fun and were interested in coming back for maple sugaring in February.

I got home and practically collapsed. I hit 12,000 in 4 hours while carrying bags and buckets of supplies and binoculars. I had a coworker with me who is amazing and helpful and great with the kids but I am so used to teaching by myself, I often forget to ask for help. oops.

Today is going to be a rest-my-voice day. I am going to work on this week's meal plan and finish the shopping order. I need to make sure I have as many healthy options for Caitlyn as possible. She saw the hematologist last week and her iron levels are next to nothing. She is going to need infusions but more iron-rich foods can't hurt.

I hope that all of you have a fantastic day!

I’m in Minneapolis this morning. Syd has been interning at Land of Lakes since the first of May. She is sleeping in but none of that for me. (It’s a 4 hour drive but all interstate so easy drive.) She works up here until mid-December. Then she comes back to Iowa for Christmas. I will drive back with her to Florida for her last semester. And now I will have all the free time necessary without trying to squeeze it into the weekends.
Sounds like time is flying and life is good! You must be thrilled to be close to your family again, especially with all of the new little ones ♥
Caitlyn and Tom are still here and I love it, so I 100% understand how much you love Shaun being home too.
Oh, you are going to have to go back to a completely different Hardiness Zone--one you are much more familiar with it than in FL. How are your puppies? Hope they are both good :praying2:

HEHE This is me. My coffee mug is huge and it always feels good to say I only had two cups. So what if its half the pot of coffee. Our pot makes 14 cups. I only drink about 8 of them LOL But the mug tells me lies I like, its only two mugfuls so its not that bad.
Of course, we are Coffee Twins! I limit my coffee intake to 2 cups. It's not my fault that they are 16-18 oz mugs. (broke my rule today, I went back for an extra half cup aka 8 oz. LOL)
Not a lot happening today just a family dinner since we're all in town. Mostly sitting on my couch and recovering from the crazy week (since I didn't yesterday) and gearing up for another crazy week. Why why why do I schedule everything back to back? Oh yeah, get it out of the way.
I don't think you would have any spare time between your schedules with everything you do, every day of every week :p

they stayed on the east side of the river so none close enough to me to take photos. :( Maybe tomorrow will be better and they come over my neighborhood.
Drat! All fingers are crossed that the winds and balloons cooperate today!
It sounds like you are finally getting your energy back, I am so glad!

Good afternoon,
Back from church and errands to take people home and pick up meds from CVS and lunch salads from Wendy's. We took lunch back to Dorothy and then stopped for gas before getting home.
This afternoon is for relaxing.
I have no motivation to scrap. Maybe I need to look through the shop and challenges. Maybe that will be some motivation.
Have a great afternoon!
Did you get any inspiration to scrap? I have been pondering the AJ Week One challenge and I am not sure where I want to begin. I guess I could simply take a "risk" and jump in!

HAGD!!

That red eft is beautiful and so cute! Sounds like your day was a win win for everyone!

HAGD!!
No inspiration to scrap. I just worked on church stuff...deposit, balance check book, finalize financial report, record all the tithes.
Worked crossword puzzles on my phone while "watching " football with Mark.

Good morning,
Not much going on today. Pick up my grocery order and make the deposit and drop off my "collection" at the doctor office. Waiting to hear back from her whether we need to do another urine test before I start on the antibiotics. I hope she says yes.
Anyway, hope you have a great day.

Good morning. Very quick in and out before I start work. Good thing I work from home...don't know if I'd be able to motivate myself to drive in.

Went down the rabbit hole last night. Decided that I need a new laptop and going back to PSE. That's what I've got to get in place this week! Good thing that this aligns with all the big sales for Prime Days. :woohoo: I'll be back later today to do personals.

Good morning, gals. The balloons are up and flying!!! They got a late start this morning. Waiting to see if they fly this way. Have my office blind open so I can keep an eye on the sky and the camera sitting by the front door. :yesss:

Today is the last DSD Sale day. I spent some time commenting in the gallery this morning. WOW... so many fabulous LOs.
And uploaded another Challenge LO here and around digi-land. Sure feels good to be back to almost normal scrapping-wise.

dance3:motorcycle::claphands:

ETA: the balloons didn't come my way... they stayed toward the east side!!! :(

@faerywings So happy you had such a good day with the Girl Scouts. Love the red eft!!! Not surprised your voice is a bit sore today... yes, girls that age do chatter alot so you had to talk loud so you could be heard over their chatter. :floorlaugh:
Sorry Cait is low on iron but you are being a good mom and looking for iron rich food to feed her.

@LSlycord It is so nice to have you back with us again. It is like OLD TIMES!!! Good luck on getting the new laptop and PSE soon.

@AK_Tracy I have my coffee mug (2 cupper) beside me and it is already half empty... Hope you are feeling a bit better.... that was a long time for you to be on your feet preparing and serving the food. Hope you take some time to recover. :hug2:

@vickyday Hope the doc gets you started on the meds soon... and they help.

I will staying around the house today... have a delivery coming. Glad I can track it to know about when it will arrive.

Well hello ladies, I'm feeling a little better but not 100% so I will check with Dr today.

@faerywings You have such an interesting job and I love your stories with all the children. I did not know that salamanders start in water then go to land I appreciate that info to pass to my youngest grandson.

@BrightEyes how interesting that the balloon's were near. They are so amazing. Too bad they didn't fly over and robed you of the photo op. I agree I love the tracking we have now..no waiting around all day for deliveries

@vickyday I hope you feel better you have been a little off for awhile now.

@AK_Tracy LOL 2 cups of coffee=1/2 pot. I try to limit to 2 but they are regular size. The only souvenir I bought was a coffee mug for the trailer--of Neuschwanstein, it's regular size.

Good Morning Ladies!

I need to make sure I have as many healthy options for Caitlyn as possible. She saw the hematologist last week and her iron levels are next to nothing. She is going to need infusions but more iron-rich foods can't hurt.
Oh no, sorry to hear her iron is low. Do you cook with cast iron? I have heard its a great way to get some iron into the diet.
I have been pondering the AJ Week One challenge and I am not sure where I want to begin. I guess I could simply take a "risk" and jump in!
Me too!!! I have an idea but to actually sit down and start to work on it, my mind goes totally blank. I love the theme, risk, and I love the layout Susie made but my mind has stumped me. Doesn't help its been a crazy busy week either.

Chris the girl scouts trip sounds amazing. Sounds like everyone had a blast too. You probably made a few "outdoor" girls out of them with all the cool stuff you showed them.

Today is my one day this week to get things done around the house. Tomorrow is gonna be cray-cray for sure. Three back to back appointments. Remind me why I do that? You dont know? me either.

@BrightEyes Kay I love your new siggy!!! Hope you get to see some balloons.
@vickyday Vicky, hope the tests come back quickly and you find some answers. Its been a long time for you to be down and feeling icky.
@BoatLady Debby, hope you are adjusting to time change and starting to feel better. Is the cold getting better? How are pre-op going? It starts today right? All the preop appointments?
@LSlycord Linda a new laptop sounds like a perfect retirement gift to self! New electronics is such a love hate. Love the new and learning what's new and improved yet ugh learning the new improved and where did they hide that function this time? :giggle4:

Hope you all have a wonderful day!
