Daily Ooos: Monday, October 4

The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Here we are, the first full week of October. It is really foggy outside, looks spooky! Yup, I am getting into the mood! The four of us watch this absolutely *cheesy* Netflix show, Haunted, dramatic reenactments of "true stories" of people and places being haunted. So cheesy that it has become interactive. We have to make comments and jokes and predictions. And then laugh ourselves silly over how ridiculous it is. The third season was out in the spring or summer but Scott wanted to wait until now to watch it so we watched 2 episodes last night. There are only 6 episodes in a season so we will be finished before Halloween. It is probably a good thing, our brains might explode if we watched any more of it. o_O

How was your weekend?
Another successful day for me, I got almost everything done that I needed to do. Wait, I think I did get everything done. Wooot. I even finished a few things that weren't written down.
Caitlyn and Tom baked a vegan apple pie yesterday and I have to admit I was surprised at how good it was. I thought for sure that the crust was going to be bland since it used coconut oil instead of butter. I de-vegan-ed it for dessert by putting whipped cream on top. Sorry, Tom *wink*
Have I told you how freaking cute the two of them are? I have?? hee hee. But they really are and I have to say (again) how amazing it is to talk about your DD's BF and be happy about it.

I have to clean out my fridge today, there is so much stuff shoved in it that I don't have room for anything else. A lot of the stuff in there is old and no one wants to be the one to throw it out. Aside from that, it will be a desk-day, maybe catching up on some scrapping. It is raining so I can't be outside.

Have a fantastic day!

Kay- sending you more gentle hugs. I am relieved that the side effects weren't as bad this time but wish you didn't have any. I hope that you are up to taking photos of the balloon festival today. xo

@tanteva I think the appropriate shirt for you would say "0 minutes without sarcasm" LOL!!!
What service/channel is the Sopranos on? I think Gary saw it already but maybe he will want to watch it again. He watched Deadwood a second time around so I could see it. On second thought, he falls asleep watching TV most nights so it wouldn't even affect him!
It will be *PERFECT* weather for you on vacation. Perfect! Good luck packing, as you read last month, I suck at it so no advice from me other than get a bigger suitcase.

@Cherylndesigns Shame on Lex! I hope that she doesn't give any of her bad habits to Tex. BTW- your porch looks adorable!
You did a great job making the parade video. Nice Vette!!

Eva-- the irony!! HAHAHAH!!!!
No doubt that John is 100% your kid, you taught him well ;)

@taxed4ever It is always wine O clock! So happy that you and your Gary had a relaxing time on the deck looking at the fall color. Bet it was fun going through Michaels and Hunter is going to love his T-shirt. Did you find out if CA is having the free postage days?

@vickyday glad that the knee only hurts occasionally!

@nancyr the wedding sounds amazing, and how sweet to dance with your ds for "practice." I can't remember, have they set an official date yet? So darn exciting!!
It was nowhere near 80 here but I bet the sun felt wonderful by you. Apple cider donuts are very good and now I want one too. I hope that the Devils continue playing so well!

Eva- yup, certain people are eligible for a booster shot, more than in Sweden it seems. Over 65 yo, at-risk and healthcare workers for sure, but only for people who got Pfizer. Gary would be eligible but he got Moderna.

Hi @felis I am so happy that you are so happy!! I really need to go on IG more, I am never on that and I must miss so much cool stuff. I hope that you're able to get a new camera, that would be fun.

Ugh, I am running so late. I talk way too much and type way too slow

xo

Feels like I'm in a constant mode of "tired" these days. Today, at least, it's at least partly self-made. LOL When Urban went to bed last night, I said I'd stay up and watch an episode of Downton Abbey. Yup, you guessed it. Watched until 2am.

Got up at 9am (that's when my medicine alarm goes off). Posted a layout, have been preparing some stuff for the packing for the trip, and just loaded the 3rd load of wash into the machine. Cannot believe how much laundry we had! I hope I can find room to hang it all.

Now I'm gonna have a cup of java & a cinnamon roll. In Sweden, October 4th is The Cinnamon Roll Day.

Morning, gals. I am definitely feeling better today. Going to try to get a page or two done if I don't run out of steam. Cheryl, didn't mean to scare you about side-effects from the Covid Booster... they are so much less than the ones I had with the 2nd Covid shot. Only 1 day with temp and chills... just needed to rest/sleep more than usual for a few days. The arm is still red and sore and feels warm to the touch... but have been able to use it without pain. On a scale - the 2nd Covid shot was an 8 and the Covid Booster shot was about 3. Don't let the side-effects keep you from getting the Booster... <<< hugs >>>

Need to go to the grocery store as I have run out of several things I need... eggs, fresh veggies and fruit, etc.
Also need to pick up mail and mail a few bills, too. Will feel strange to get dressed after several days in PJs... hahaha I even cooked supper last night. Made a breakfast burrito with scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, diced chilies, and cheese rolled in a large flour tortilla. WOW... was so good after mainly cereal, soup and sandwiches for the past several days. Have enough leftover for supper tonight.

Sorry no personals yet... CYL

Morning ladies!! I am getting a late start to the day, woke up at 7:30am and had a great nights sleep for a change! The house is quiet and it looks like the sun will come out today. Enjoying my first cup of coffee and hope to get the challenge coupons finally sent out this morning. I decided to wait until today, because the coupons really weren't going to be active until after DSD was over anyway. Yesterday was very busy as DH and I took advantage of the nice weather and got lots of yard work done and I got the front porch all decorated for Fall. We found some pretty potted Mums at a local place and I brought up my pumpkins and a few other things from the crawl space. It looks very fall like on my front porch! I decided to start a list of things that need to get done before Thanksgiving this Sunday, so I hope that it works as well for me as it does for you @faerywings !

@faerywings - Chris I can't believe that we are already into October and yes it was very foggy here this morning also! Along with a spooky mist rising off of the lake at the bottom of the hill, it is very Halloweenish! Oh and BTW I checked this morning and the Post Office is doing the free parcel shipping every Tuesday for the month of October!! Hooray!! I better get my butt in gear and get everything that needs to be shipped to Ontario ready to go! Yikes more pressure to get the the to do list done LOL. I really need to get my fridge cleaned out soon too, so much in there that should have been chucked out already! Better add that to the list too. I am so happy that you can talk with Cait's BF and be happy about it! That's awesome!

@tanteva - Eva my goodness how can you not be anything but tired after staying up that late watching Downton Abbey??? So tell me, do you hang your clothes outside to dry? Do you not have a clothes dryer?? Just curious. I miss hanging my clothes out on the line outside, especially the bed sheets! Happy to hear that your pen pal is back home and hope you get a letter off to her while you are on vacation!

Kay - I am glad that you are feeling so much better! Enjoy your time scrapping and yes it will be strange to have to get regular clothes on after so many pyjama days LOL.

@nancyr - The wedding and reception sounded amazing and how nice to dance with your son! A good practice for you and him for his upcoming big day! You must be so happy with your Devils!! Yes I bought a lot of goodies at the Craft Store LOL, now to get everything made and shipped during October will be a challenge. Really want to take advantage of the free shipping every Tuesday for the month.

@felis - I can totally relate to you wanting to be outside in the lovely fall weather rather than posting here :D. I hope that you can find a camera that you like and can start on your new hobby of picture taking! I look forward to seeing your photos!

Well I just got a txt from Heather saying that they have to take little Hunter to the Dr. they are pretty sure he has an ear infection, poor little man!! Better get another cup of coffee and get those coupons out to the amazing ladies that do the challenges. Have a great day everyone!

I hang indoors. Too many phobias to be able to hang outside LOL I do have a "cupboard dryer" (have no idea what it's called in English), but I never use the heat. I'm never in a hurry to get clothes dry, but I guess I could turn on the heat if I needed. I just don't use electricity if I don't really need it (we "waste" enough electricity on all our screens LOL). I hang my laundry in that cupboard, on another hanger & on coat hangers. The laundry room is full now. LOL

Ok ... it's bed time here. Hence I'm going to put on Netflix & Downton Abbey.

No sleep for the addicted. LOL

Afternoon, all.

Where to start??? Kay! @BrightEyes SO glad to hear that you're feeling better!! Easy does it, okay? Don't be like me and jump right back in. We got our flu shots today so I'm hoping my arm doesn't get as sore as it did last year. I only have one good arm and the shot went in that. I also have a stopped up ear - well, I did. While we were at the doctor getting our flu shots, I mentioned that my left ear was plugged up. Yep, it was completely blocked. They irrigated it and I could feel it pop and open up. So, today was eventful. hahaha

Eva @tanteva I STAY sarcastic, so my zero in the square works for me. I speak extreme sarcasm, as I'm sure you do. Chris, @faerywings I'm throwing you in this club, too. Did I say "throwing"? LMAO

Chris, @faerywings before I forget; we loved The Sopranos. We didn't watch it when the regular season was on, but binge watched it. I cried when Downton Abby ended. :( I have a Downton Abby tea tin sitting on my kitchen counter - makes me happy to look at it. I'm glad you like my porch and my video. I just love looking at my porch - it makes me happy.

Trudy @taxed4ever hope they can "fix"Hunter's ear as easily as they just fixed mine. I can actually hear now.

I need to do something scrap wise. I'm going to do a LO for Vicki's new kit, other than that, not sure.

Yes, that darned Lex - I put her outside where she couldn't get into anything. LOL

Nancy @nancyr how exciting! The wedding will be wonderful!

Waving to all and hoping my flu shot arm holds up - I'll have to wave with my foot. BWAHAHA

Hi, girls. Such a boring day. Usually with my sister text whole day here and there just for stupid stuff, but when she got silent I decided they are busy as they was got free day today. Before dinner I start to realise that something is wrong with WhatsApp and checked but no one have it or IG neither, so we got really aggravated to our mobile provider. Just to see in the news that this is global problem. Ughhh, of course it will happens in day when I was posted really good selfie.

Chris, first few things for the previous days. Congrats to Scott for the job proposal! And also I was misunderstood that they are been on forest camp, but music festival is so much cooler! And these blouse that you was share, do they have ''I'm cool'', oh oh or cold hard, ''Cold Hard B'' is one of my favorite Jet's songs.
About for today big Bravo for being so efficient with your tasks.

Nancy, the wedding party sounds lovely. I'm curious to see what you was wearing, as I saw (or at least I think so) that you was wondering about that!

Trudy, poor Hunter, hope it's a fast treatment and then he definitely deserve treats! Sounds as you was very productive in preparing your garden for the winter. I'll have to do this some of the next days too.

Eva, I'm a huge fan of Downton Abbey, but I'm only to the middle of it. It's very difficult to find where to watch it here. I'm so happy to hear that your trip will be soon and wish you lovely weather and lots of fun! Hmm, who will take cares for the cats? I saw that Marten is feeling better which makes me feel so relief!

Cheryl, I watched your video on IG and it's so cute. I'm not a car fan, I can't even recognize them for other than colors, but this was looking like a lot of fun.

Our son is home with the cats. It will be a trip for just me and Urban. Like an extra honey moon. LOL
