What a difference a couple of days make in the weather here. The wind and rain are going like crazy and the temps have dropped about 15*

I'd like to say that I don't have to leave the house today but I am driving Cait back and forth to school. She is still in a lot of pain and isn't sure how safe she feels driving on the pain meds. They are non-narcotic but she couldn't tell if they affected her since she was so out of it all day yesterday. The pain seems to be slightly less but still there. At least it isn't worse.
Fun fact: The digestive tract has more nerves than anywhere else in the body except for the brain. I found that out at the Drs yesterday.

I was so exhausted all day yesterday too and tried to do some tagging but at one point, I just couldn't sit any longer. I hate taking naps b/c I feel so much worse afterward. I ended up making an apple crisp for dessert. I doubled the "crisp" part. Yum! (sorry for you keto-ers :( )

On my plate for today- driving Cait to school which will be baout2 hours of my day, getting ready for food shopping tomorrow, and watching the news to see who is going to be indicted today as part of the Mueller/Trump Administration investigation.

Hope that you all have a wonderful day!

Jean- I am not watching the World Series but my FB feed tells me it is very exciting. :)
I don't do as much crazy stuff as I did when I was younger, mostly because I am too darn tired all of the time LOL

Rae- I saw so many of your pics on FB- just gorgeous! Glad that you were able to get out and about!

I wake up in a bad mood! Wake up in a bad mood. It's sounds so much better on the song. The ends of the month always frustrated me so much, but never made something to be more organized, I'm so pathetic!
Today is so windy. Like Chris said the weather is changed for a hours and I'm missed the little details somewhere. The fireplace fill the room with so much smoke, from a tree that has not been burned since the last night. We wake up at the fog and of course I have a terrible migraine today:frusty:. Now I have to tighten and organize myself better.

Chris, this is so bad about the Cait, hope feel better soon! Why she work till still feel pain?!

Rae, I'm so happy you are had wonderful weekend! You needed from some me time.

Ok, I didn't started much positive this week, but new month comes, so will have new start at Wednesday. Hope you all have wonderful Monday!

good morning - well I had a wonderful Sunday inspite of the rain and wind. I went with friends to get my Devils Will Butcher's autograph and it was so fun. I went with a young couple who have to of the cutest kids. Their oldest is talking and so full of energy and the little girl is just such a cutie and looks so much like her dad. Well it was so fun. And got the autograph and a photo. He was really nice. Came home and watched Outlander and Walking Dead. Thank goodness Charles knows the Dead so he can tell me who is who and then I tell him who is who on Outlander. Works pretty well. The world series game was crazy. I went to bed when it was tied at 8-8 and the final was 13-12 Astros. WOW. The game did not end until 1:30amish.

Chris the wind today has brought much cooler temps and the river is high as is the little creek at the end of my street but luckily no flooding. Sorry you are having to drive but much safer if she is not feeling that good.

Felis so sorry you woke up feeling so bad. Not surprised you have the headache if the fireplace was not working well. Hope the day gets better and there is always a new day on the horizon!

Waving hi to all and have a great day!

Good morning, ladies. Got up at 6:00 to run over for some lab work which opens at 6:30. I got there at 6:20 and already there were 8 people in line for the doors to open. Glad I wore a warm jacket and thankfully it wasn't raining. I am dreading getting these results b/c if the cholesterol hasn't dropped significantly my GP wants me on medication which I don't want b/c of the side effects. So I'm hoping my keto diet has helped but either way, I will find out in a few days.

Tomorrow is payroll day so today I'll be working my butt off trying to get as much done as possible to include in my invoice.

We heard a few firecrackers/fireworks last night so of course Taz wouldn't go out for his late night pee. Thankfully he let me sleep thru the night. It'll be like that for the next 4-5 days. I feel so bad for him as he runs and hides under my desk or behind D's chair and quivers. I have been putting lavender on his collar to hopefully help relax him a bit. It won't hurt and if it helps at all, good.

Chris - hope C feels better soon. In my pre-keto days, I loved apple crisp and that was my mom's fave dessert. I have so much fun taking photos Sat/Sun and was thankful for two days of clear weather. It might be the last wkend to get out for pics of the fall colors.

Felis - hope the migraine clears up soon, I've only had a few in my life and they are terrible. Organization is terrible for me too, as much as I try to organize things, there is always more that needs to be organized and done. I try to focus on one thing at a time so I don't drive myself crazy about it.

Nancy - last night of TWD was good wasn't it? Have you watched the after show? Talking Dead?. I love watching that, they have a different celebrity on each week to join in on the chat about the show.

Trudy, Jean and everyone else....hope you have a great day.

I'm getting another coffee and getting to work.

I watched the world series game to the end. It was bizarre but exciting. So glad not to be a fan of either team, though still wish we were in it. DH had to get up early so went to bed before it ended. I still had things to do after, so I'm feeling a bit groggy today. Outside isn't very inviting either - cold, gray, windy.

Chris, you are super to drive Cait today. Poor kid. Don't know how she'll concentrate in classes. Don't get your hopes up too much on the indictments. But anything might help.

Felis, so sorry for the unhappy start to your day. Hope the fireplace is working better and the migraine let up. I can't believe it will soon be November!! But it will be a new month and we can see it as a fresh start.

Nancy, I like the sound of you autograph outing. Must have been a great time. Too bad you missed the rest of the WS game. It was astounding. I reached the point of just wanting one team to win so it would end. Well, at least one more game in LA to watch.

Rae, good luck with the cholesterol numbers! Sure hope they went down. Poor Taz and you too with the firecrackers. Hope it is quiet instead for him.

Trudy, hope it is a good day for you.

Morning ladies... It is a clear morning here but very cool. I am sorry that most of you are having a not so nice day weather wise, we will be getting our fair share of rain and chilly temps later in the week. So far it sounds like Wednesday will be nice in the morning for my hike so I a keeping my fingers crossed that the forecast remains the same! Well I was MIA from here yesterday, we spent the morning bottling a white zinfandel and listening to some good music and then the better part of the day was spent cleaning up the mess in the backyard and getting the flower beds all ready for winter. Lots of raking and blowing out the sprinklers. DH was up on the roof blowing all the needles out of the gutters. Then we got a phone call from SIL telling us that MIL was on her way back to the hospital in the ambulance and she would let us know when FIL called her again to update what the heck was going on. Apparently she got dizzy and fell when she was out in the garden, she managed to crawl to the shop (located near the garden) and phoned the neighbours to find FIL, not sure where he was? MIL was vomiting and very dizzy so they called the ambulance. She was released last night, so I will call today sometime to see how she is doing. They told her that they think is some kind of inner ear problem? Really? She has had many very small strokes TIA's in the past, so most likely it was that! She refuses to take better care of herself, will not let anyone help with anything or lose the weight that she needs to so we all are very frustrated by her, but she is 82 she isn't going to change now I guess. Anyway on a happier note... I started making my wooden nativity yesterday also and it will be fun to be painting it soon. Oh an here is the photo of my view from my kitchen window of the fall colours.

Chris - Sorry that Cait is hurting so darn much! I hope that she feels better very soon! Good luck with your shopping prep! Don't watch too much of the DT news, you know it only makes you more upset!

Feels - Sorry that you are not having a good day, sometimes it seems like Mondays are just bad days! Having the room filled with smoke from the fireplace did not improve you mood I am sure!

Nancy - I sat down to watch Outlander last night and fell asleep half way through it :gaah: how could that happen LOL Now I will have to watch it again today. Nice that despite the bad weather you had a great day at your Autograph signing! Nice to have two little ones to entertain you also!

Rae - Another very busy day for you today, I got my bloodwork done a while back and my cholesterol was up just very slightly, but they say after you have been Keto for over 6 months that it drops again. I have read somewhere also that drs are not as concerned over our cholesterol levels as they used to be and that it might not be the cause of so many other health issues as once thought. I will keep my fingers crossed that your levels are good! I saw some of your photos on Facebook, they look awesome!

Waving :hello: to you Jean, I have to call MIL now and see how she is feeling. The kids all want updates also, so it will be a busy morning getting the messages sent and talking with all of the relatives. Have a great rest of the day!
