Happy Monday, my dear O-zies!
Was your weekend a good one? I hope that it was a good blend of relaxing and fun. I don't think mine was good or bad. It just "was." But at this point, I will take it.

Scott got some bad news yesterday. An old friend of his died from a suspected overdose. They lost touch after HS when their lives took different turns but the guy was still friends with a lot of his friends. He was in my PreK class too so we all have known him for 20 years. Scott was supposed to go to his best friend's last night for support but it was too cold to sit outside and Scott was not comfortable going inside. He picked some sushi up and dropped it at Ian's house instead. Drugs have ruined so many of my kids' friends' lives, Gary's friends' lives. Looking back, I guess mine too. One of my best friends in HS died of an overdose right before graduation. So sad. And pointless.

I finished the scrap page and I am mostly pleased with how it came out. There are a few things I couldn't fix but at least I didn't toss the entire thing. I also finished the menu for the party on Saturday. Today will be gathering the ingredients and working on the shopping order. Caitlyn has 5 student advisement meetings before she has her 4 hours of classes so she won't be available at all to help but Scott said he would. Although, that was before he found about about his friend so maybe not.

Sending big hugs all around!

Trudy- The weather sure switched itself around a bit, why is it so cold? Drat! I asked Scott if we could bring the firepit to the front of the house and it wouldn't;t work, the patio is way too small. I am not looking forward to visiting outdoors or through windows like we did back when this began.
Sounds like you are going to be doing the same. How is your SIL doing? I bet she was happy to have her freezer stocked with the beef too. Were your steaks as good as you expected? Flannel sheets are so cozy. I need to get a new set, I might ask for them for Christmas. Enjoy them and the pillows!

Kay- Oh YUCK! What horrible weather. Snow. Just yuck. That must have been a huge relief to be able to get what you needed from the store and with no crowds either. I wonder what the stores will look like here when we get the snow alerts- will it be for milk and bread or more toilet paper and Lysol wipes this winter?
Stay warm!

Rae- Nope, I never take my own advice, but hey-- at least I admit it!!
Your back must be in such bad shape for them to say you will never jog again, lots of gentle hugs to you~~~
I have no idea how much weight I have gained but it is much more than I am happy with. I have *no* motivation to do anything about it either. :(
Your avi is wonderful, the green looks great on you! Congrats on being on Karen's CT!

Cheryl- OMG, I am so sorry to hear about Braden's GF's mom. Cait heard that Brendan's mom (her ex) tested positive recently. Her dad lives with them and is 86 years old and has brain cancer. Cait is worried about them even though she doesn't talk to Brendan at all anymore. I cannot imagine the worry you must feel with the GKs. I hope that he is ok. It is such a mess...:(

Hang in there my lOves!! xoxo

good morning - I have rediscovered that I love watching TV series. I am sorry I have been so absent. Nothing is going on in my life other than walking Luther, cooking occasionally and binge watching.

I hope all is well and I will get my act together soon.

Morning, gals. Brrrr... sitting right at freezing... 33*... have patches of ice on rooftops, on patio, and street. The storm will be here in town around noon but roads are already closed to the north and east of us and Winter Warnings are out for most of the state. Not planning on going anywhere until it is over. Yesterday was a productive day - got all the laundry done and did a few other chores finished. Discovered that the external speakers I had hooked up to DH's computer were bad so took the ones from my computer and moved them to his. Was able to use his computer for the family chat yesterday afternoon.

Sending warm and safe wishes for everyone.

Morning O-zies!! It is cloudy and :rain: here today. But I think that the rain will stop soon and the hopefully we will get some patches of blue sky. Yesterday was a productive day as DH and got all the yard waste taken to Bings Creek and then on the way home we stopped at Home Depot to pick up some weather stripping and Door sweeps for the double doors that separate the kitchen from the living room. How exciting LOL. I got all my :washing: done and floors vacuumed and cleaned and even got the bathrooms all done. Our steak last night was melt in your mouth delicious!! I love that my Gary is so great with the BBQ! Today I will try to get some more scrapping done and then I really need to get some treat bags started for the neighbour kids. No face time with Heather today, its her alone day and she is working on her course that she is almost finished with.

Chris - Oh my what awful news for Scott and your family!! My heart breaks for the parents of this young man. So many have died here from fentanyl overdoses!! One young man who was always very chatty with us at the grocery store, died from overdose last month. I would have never guessed that he was a drug user, but hey I guess you never know do you? Such a waste!! Such a tragic thing!! Send Scott a big ole hug from me!! I will have to get to the gallery to check out your page Chris, I bet its wonderful!

Nancy - Hope that you are not feeling depressed or anything and yes, most of us feel the same, not much happening in our lives, just the same old same old! I am happy that you and Luther are still enjoying your walks and that you are having fun watching TV series! One of my favs was "That 70's show". I might have to find that one again and re-watch it!

Kay - Ugh what horrible weather you are getting, its not time for it to be snowy yet!!! We did have a cold front come through here and man it was chilly, but slowing getting back to more normal temps, looking forward to the milder weather for sure! Lots of rain coming our way, which is quite normal. Glad that you had such a good shopping experience, too bad you could not get your meds though! Sounds like you are all ready for the colder nights and good plan to change the speakers around so you could have better sound for your family chat! Stay warm and cozy!!

Cheryl - Oh dear that is not good news about Braden's GF! Hope she does not test positive!! One reason we will not get together with SIL Sharon at her home is because her son still lives with her and is out partying with his friends all the time! Dam younger people still do not think that they can really get sick. He is always posting photos on Instagram of how much fun he is having with his buddies! Stupid, stupid, stupid!! Opps sorry I will shut up now :tape: LOL.

Rae - How nice that you will be on Karen's CT!! Have fun with all of her gorgeous goodies!! Sorry to hear that you will not be able to jog anymore, yes it is so hard on the body and especially your back! I never liked running, always got shin splints OUCH!! That is why I love swimming, low impact exercise and works every muscle. Hope that your back will be pain free soon!

Well I feel the need for more coffee and then I will get busy with my Photoshop and get scrapping! More Calendar pages to complete and more layouts for the O! Have a lovely Monday everyone! Be Calm, Be Kind and Be Safe!!

Good morning, ladies. D is home this wk on holidays so he'll be puttering around and I'll try to find a few chores for him to do. Easy day of work, dinner just needs to be heated up (taco pie for the family and beans/rice/veggies for me) and salad prepared. We started watching "Departure" last night and am enjoying it.

Not sure when physio is this wk, forgot to put it in my calendar. They'll send me an email reminder but I don't think it is today. I'll do my stretches, get out into the yard with the birds for a few minutes, scrap a bit and in between it all will lay on bed for 15 minutes here and there to rest my back. It is feeling somewhat better but still can't walk much without the pain starting up. I really want to get out to Reifel to photograph the birds but it'll have to wait another month or so, I don't think physio approves. And when I do go, I know I'll have to rest a lot on the benches in between walking around and will have to make it a short visit. But I'll take anything, I just want to get out and take photos :)

I'm getting more coffee, do a bit of work and then go do my stretches/strengthening routine.

Chris - so sorry to hear of B's friend passing.

Kay - it was laundry day here too yesterday. D had washer going and Jen took a shower, wondering why there was so little water pressure, not realizing the washer was using all the water. She thought something was wrong and was freaking out about it. We're still getting used to sharing the house with her and letting each other know these things LOL.

Happy Monday!
Chris, so sorry to hear of your friend's death! I will never understand (hopefully) how people can allow themselves to ruin their lives with drugs! They think it affects only them, but that is definitely a lie!
Nothing much has changed for my husband and I during this pandemic. He has continued to work, thank the LORD! What has changed is church attendance and my shopping habits! The later being a good thing, LOL! Our church is small, so we have been able to meet again for quite awhile as we have no problem social distancing! Our congregation is older (we have no youth except for grandkids who are visiting from time to time), so we do have that concern. But for the most part, there are only a few who do not come for health reasons. We only meet for one hour on Sundays in the morning now and one hour on Wednesdays. I don't know if life will ever return to normal. I pray so. But I also believe that no matter what precautions I may take, if the LORD wants to take me out with the virus there is nothing I can do about it. We all have an appointed time to die. So, I'm being as cautious as I can, but I'm not worried about it, either! I don't need the extra stress worrying about it would do to my IBS, LOL!

Hello lovies,

Thanks for the good thoughts about Braden's girlfriend's mom. Her mom is quite ill, from what Braden says. His GF is getting testing today - not that that means anything.

Trudy, like you said, they're all "out and about" and who knows when people get infected. I'm worried about the "time factor", too. They honestly don't even give this virus a thought. My husband is older and has lung issues and he said if he gets it, "he's done". I just want him to NOT get it! If that means we don't see the kids for awhile, that's the way it has to be.

Chris, sorry about your friend. That's so terrible when somebody loses their fight with substances. It's bad enough to lose somebody, but to that??? Even worse and sadly, there's usually nothing anybody could have done to prevent it.

It's raining hard here and is supposed to all day. Ugh.

Kay - oh no - snow! I'm not ready for that. How's your computer issue coming along? I hope better.

Trudy, sounds like we're having the same weather.

Hope you all have a good day (as good as possible) - I think I might eat all day. BWAHAHA
