Hellooooo! Happy Monday!! I am pulling in all of the good vibes I have, today is Caitlyn's big interview. I know that she will do absolutely amazing but it is a *lot* to get through.
Yesterday turned out nicer (weather-wise) than I expected and I was able to rake about 3/4 of the front lawn. I raked only where the dogs can reach on their leads. I stay away from the Halloween props, I have learned the hard way to say away because I either 1. freak myself out over and over when I see a man (lawnmower man) out of the corner of my eye or 2. I trip over the ropes that are tying the props to the ground. Thankfully (glass half full here, if it weren't for the woods, I wouldn't have as many leaves) I don't have to bag the leaves, I just rake them into the woods in the back.
Scott was home for dinner and afterward, Cait, Tom, Gary, and I watched the 1980s version of The Fly.
My shoulders are going to be unhappy with me today. Jaida threw up yesterday -- a lot- and I need to steam-clean the carpet. I normally do them in November, closer to Christmas but it can't wait. Between raking yesterday and steam cleaning today, I am pretty sure I am going to need a heat pack on it tonight. That's my big plan today, I also have to finish up my food shopping for tomorrow morning's pick-up.
Super quick question for you all too:
I got a pack of turkey kielbasa from the pantry. I haven't cooked anything like that in years since I use to throw it on the grill. Any ideas of what I can do with it? I can't stand saurkraut (sp??? I know that's wrong) but am pretty much open to any other ideas. TIA!
