Good morning and a happy Monday to you all! It looks like today is going to be the last of our nice weather if a bit cooler than yesterday. Tomorrow brings in rain and much cooler temps. But I cannot complain at all, this month has been delightful.

Yesterday I was able to get a lot of things done. I am all ready to go food shopping today, got my Faery-Wings order placed and cleaned up the patio. We got invited to a pizza and drinks for dinner at my neighbor's house, one last time before it gets too cold to be outside. That was a fun end to the weekend.

I also got some cool pictures of their Halloween set-up, I will have to share them. I was surprised at how well they came out in the dark. I think I might submit them to our town's spooky house contest too.

That is what I will be up to today, what good things do you have planned?

Good for you, Trudy, to start your Sunday with a hot bath! The rain must have been coming down in buckets to have woken you up like that. Good that it slowed down in time for the Farm Market shopping.
How nice to have a bigger and better tv in the kitchen.
How was the memorial service, was your MIL able to make it? Is she out of the hospital?

Jean- I hope that you were able to get lots of work done on the records yesterday and that you are happy with what you were able to accomplish. Good luck getting your car today!

Happy birthday, Rae!!!!!!
:ballons:

I am sad that you didn't get to go mini-golfing but the celebration sounds like it was a good plan too. Taz must have had so much fun splashing around. yesterday afternoon, all 3 of my girls were chasing each other around the stairs. I love how J taught Whisky how to play the game where she goes part way around, freezes, then tears off in the other direction, My knees are even happier that I am not the one playing the game with her. looking forward to seeing your pics of him!

Hello girls,
It's rainy and very busy day here. I don't can react effective when have to do something out of my plan. So I have to be very quick today.

Chris and Trudy, I have 2 dogs and 12 cats, 7 mine and 5 fostered, so they are different at a different time, when someone find home or when (knock on wood to not happened) passed away I get another one on it's place. I was a volunteer in different foundations, but before 2 years I was depressed for a long time and all that pain there was too stressful for me so I stopped everything. But I once read in a book that if you see unrighteousness and do not correct it is the same as though you caused it. So I adopt one more and then one more, and then get to foster one and one more cat. And ta-da, now I'm a crazy cat lady :bowl: , but the world don't become a better place.
And so it is
The shorter story
No love, no glory
No hero in her sky.

However, Chris, your aromatherapy business sounds great! My sister have successful body jewellery shop at Etsy. I tried too, but I was awful at the customer service, so I failed. Good luck on a photo contest! When we will can see these photos too :) ?!

Trudy, congrats for the new TV! These extras sounds very cool. I wish we have something like Norwex here or at last I don't know it. I try to use natural products in our apartment too, like soda and Hydrogen peroxide. But in the cats rooms this is impossible because of the protocol for disinfection. From all these sodium chloride and disinfectants my hands are ages older than my body even I use gloves :-x .

Jean, I hope you had a productive day yesterday! I'm sure you're did all the best for the time that you had. Isn't any possibility for additional access?!

Rae, I'm curious to see your autumn photos on a LO. Games and BBQ sounds to me like a great party! So your B-day actually is today?! Wish you bunch of health and happiness and a lovely year! :blast:

Nancy, looks like you are had busy Sunday, but hope it was with a good things!

Hugs to you all!

Happy Monday ladies... just popping in before hitting the shower to get ready for the Memorial Service this morning. Yes MIL will be attending as she was released from the hospital on Friday morning and is feeling much better! It will be a fairly long day as we have to travel to Victoria for the Service and everyone wants to do lunch before we go. So we are meeting up with SIL Sharon at the White Spot to have lunch together. DH is driving, so funny because FIL will be in the front seat with him and telling him how to get everywhere. Don't know why he thinks we don't know our way around?? So I just wanted to pop in to say :hello: to everyone and I hope that you all have a wonderful Monday! Also a very :HapBirth: to Rae! I hope you enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration! Talk to you all tomorrow!!

Happy Birthday Rae!

good morning - a late start as my DH stayed home to get his lecture notes in order so Luther and I went late. It was fun as he got to play with Finnegan, his bull dog friend. Yesterday was fun as the Devils practice was awesome. It was a real practice and he worked his players really hard. But the best was Brain Boyle was cleared for practice and he was there for this practice. They found out he had chronic myeloid leukemia during the preseason physicals and he and his doctors have been working out a schedule so he feels good and its safe to play. It was so great to see him out playing. Came home and my son and I watched the TV show Zoo on Netflix. It is really good. Had fun and watched 3 episodes. So I watched Outlander and he watched with me and he did not even flinch at watching the sex scenes with his mom. My mom would have been so shocked LOL. I guess times have changed. So he conned me into watching the Walking Dead premier. I made it through as there was not too much violence but I had to ask a lot of questions as I am not sure who are considered good or bad. But he asks lots of questions about Outlander too. Today is the last nice day of the week as we have lots of rain coming.

Chris sounds like a lovely way to end the weekend with pizza party. It was such awesome weather. Glad your dogs are having such fun. Good for your knees!

Felis so glad that the animals helped with the pain and depression. I know Luther makes me smile. Yesterday my oldest son came over and my DH tried to get Luther to jump on him but nope he knew not too jump on strangers and jumped on my DH instead LOL. One smart dog.

Trudy hope the day is not too long! So glad to hear that your MIL was released and doing better. A bath early in the rain actually sounds lovely! Congrats on the new TV I love having a largish one. Love the Eagles!

Rae hope dice and dinner went well. My son loved the premier of TWD - hope you did too. Sorry about golf!

Jean I was sad about the Yankees but I think it is great for the Astros and for Houston. Not sure who I will cheer for. Have fun with the new car! Sounds like weather is changing enough that those heated seats will come in handy!

Have a great day all.

Good morning, ladies. I'm now officially 60...yikes...where did the years go??? Yesterday didn't go as planned. Bailey's depression is really spiraling downwards and she wouldn't come over yesterday. So, again, we didn't get to celebrate her birthday and she missed out on mine. Jen and I talked for a bit about it and then put the conversation aside so we could try to enjoy our dinner together. I should have known something was going on when I opened her gift and there were some clothes in the gift bag that I had given her before and she said she'd give them back now that they would fit me again. She apologized and said she must have grabbed the wrong plastic bag to put into the gift bag and asked D if he mixed up the bags when she gave them to him. So we went downstairs to see if the other bag was there. Hmmm.....suspicious....but I still didn't think much of it. So imagine my surprise when they both started laughing as D picks up a big box to give me. LOL. It was a 28" UHD 4K monitor. I was completely surprised and had no idea that they had both conspired to get this for me.

So I'll finally be able to work on dual monitors, something I've always wanted to do but never got around to getting a second monitor. We'll have to figure out how to set it up, but hopefully its not hard to do. D's off work today so later this afternoon he's going to see if he can do this and figure out what cables we need to hook it all up. So, not sure if it'll get done today but soon for sure. I'm excited for it.

We had a nice BBQ together, watched a comedy show and Jen & I made a keto friendly pumpkin loaf. That morning D and I popped over to Canadian Tire so I could get a silicone mini loaf mold so they were on sale so were super cheap. I'm so glad i got them b/c I think the smaller loaves bake up more evenly than if I had made one big loaf. So, the recipe was easy to put together and I followed the recipe exactly except I baked it about 8 minutes longer. It came out perfect. I made an icing drizzle with swerve sugar replacement, butter and cream and it was so yummy. Jen and I were amazed at how good it was.

We watched the preview show and then the new season premiere of TWD last night. So good! I fell asleep watching the after-show so will finish watching tonight.

Today is a busy work day, I'm still trying to catch up from last week, but slowly getting there. I'm feeling pretty good today, a bit stuffed up and sniffly but not tired and achy so I must be on the mend. Sure hope I stay healthy now.

Chris - sounds like you had a productive day and finished it off with a nice BBQ with friends. Can't wait to see your halloween pics, glad the night ones turned out. Between your neighbor and your display, I bet you'll have some awesome pics! If the weather is good, I like to get out at night and snap a few shots of the neighborhood. No one around here does a huge display though. So happy to hear that W continues to be bonding with your dogs so well. Makes me smile.

Trudy - how kind of you and your G taking them to the memorial service. I'm glad to hear your MIL is feeling better. I think the weather today will be dry, so should be good for driving and being outdoors.

Nancy - how uplifting that must have felt to see the player with leukemia out playing. As for Zoo, we love it too. Are you watching the first season? I found that the show just keeps getting better as the story evolves from one season to the next.

Felis - what a wonderful household with the dogs and cats! I would be in heaven with all those animals around me. I wish we could have a cat too but we always have doors open for Taz to go out (that would not be safe for a cat with all the coyotes and cougars around here) and we are gone many wkends out of the year and would not like to leave a cat at home alone that much, so I have to remind myself that it would not be the best situation for us. But still....how wonderful that would be.

Jean - hope all is well.

I'm getting to grab another coffee and get to work.

It's been an ordinary Monday morning, but DH had a good time at the music group at the senior center. They started going earlier today for those wanting to play bluegrass. It has really come along nicely. Now they're going to go 15 minutes earlier even. In a bit we'll be going to get the car!!! I still think the old one is more than fine, but the new one has a ton of techie toys that we'll like, not to mention cold weather coming and having heated seats. I've got a few hours and a few image downloads left on my 30-day subscription. And yes, I can do it again, but I want to get as much as I can now, then we'll have to spend time going through the records for more information and evaluation. Then I need to compile it into a form to share with DH's family. Maybe next year I could do it again. I also have to write a short article by Nov. 7th on the process and two things I learned that were questions in an earlier article.

Chris, what a great day yesterday. We all look forward to those spooky photos. Hope food shopping went well today. Nice that W is giving J exercise.

Felis, I knew you had lots of animals, but with numbers can see how they would keep you hopping. And cleaning! And getting all that loving from animals that need you. Hope today was good.

Trudy, good for you and DH for caring for the ILs. FIL with the directions will clearly never change. It's what he does. I know it doesn't really work this way, but you could TRY to see it as humorous. Glad MIL is enough better to go. Hope it all works out and no one is too sick or tired.

Nancy, how impressive for the team and player with leukemia to be playing and having that support. Nice that you could be there to see the practice. How crazy watching all that TV with DS, even the racy bits of Outlander. Luther is clearly better trained than your DH, but that isn't news, is it? Your mention of who to favor in the World Series makes me wonder which one I will pick. I don't have a reason to like one over the other.

Birthday Girl, I know you're working hard today, but hope it is a good day anyway. Love the story of the surprise present yesterday. What a great gift and how thoughtful. Dual monitors are not something I've ever had but know some people think that is the only way to go. Hope it gets set up for you tonight!
