Whew! I made it through the weekend, but now I have to face the week. Not fair! :pout:

i just adore being with my family and friends. I just wish I didn't put so much stress on myself to make everything perfect. They don't care, but I do it every time.
Today I am cleaning for my next door neighbor. Just one room, but its a doozy! The husband is an artist and history buff and a *collector.* Not a hoarder in that he keeps everything but a collector in having lots and lots of displays or "stuff." Just cleaning this one room could take me several hours-- maybe all day. No idea except that I know I am in over my head hahahah!!!! If you don't hear from me for a few days, that is where I am at.;)

Me Me Monday!
Depending on what time I am done, I have to scrap, I am so incredibly far behind on so much.

How about you? Did you have a great weekend? Any good scrapping going on?

Weekend was good but fast. I'm in some kind of time machine now and everything moves too fast. The good side of that is I will be finished with Monday before I know it!

Glad you had fun with friends and family Chris! That time always rejuvenates me!

Me Me Monday!
Work, take son to tutoring and listen to daughter complain, take daughter to basketball and listen to son complain... :) Wouldn't change it for the world!

Linda, haHAAAAAA!
take son to tutoring and listen to daughter complain, take daughter to basketball and listen to son complain
this made me laugh out loud. i was SOOOO there many moons ago. mine was hockey practice and riding lessons.

Chris, make sure you don't move ANYTHING at your neighbor's house!! i have a feeling that this guy has a unique "filing system" and knows where he's put everything. one thing out of place could throw the whole thing into chaos! well, good luck!! :fear:

since almost every day is a "me Me" day, at least until i have to start making dinner, i can't really think of anything i'm going to do today that's just for me. it's the power of being able to play with my time in my own way that makes me feel good. i think if i had to say what my "me me" is, it's to most always have control over how i use time. i have jobs that need done around the house and in supposrt of the house and fam, but i pretty much can decide WHEN to do it. after half a lifetime of tending to kids, being freed from a MUST DO schedule is pretty nice. look forward to it, ladies!! :becky:

gotta grocery shop and iron. maybe. :pound:

have a good one!

Morning O people!

Checking back in after a road trip north with my son. Kinda nice to turn off the phones and computers and facebook and texting!:) We spend a few days visitng my mom in her assisted living facility. She loves having my son around and he is so good to her and she loves all the attention. She enjoyed introducing him to all her friends and care takers. He enjoyed teasing her and wheeling around in the wheel chairs he could find that were not being used!

I stopped at the local book store and got her a copy of the new Somerset Memories Magazine. She was thrilled when I opened it up and surprised her with a page I had done of her that was published. She was so excited to see herself in a magazine!! That was fun!

Back home and will catch up and think about new pages with some photos I captured during the visit.

Chris- Good luck with the cleaning!
Linda-The kids complaining sounds familiar and so typical!:)
Phylis- Enjoy your day and have a few items I need at the grocery store if you could pick them up and drop them by................then we could chat and laugh a bit!!

Have a great Monday all!

Phyllis--I can't wait to have me me days-every day! I am so looking forward to retirement. Only about 9 years to go!! Seems like an eternity but at the same time the years are going by so fast--it will be here before I know it.

Chris--I'm with Phyllis--don't move anything. He'll notice.

My hubby was not feeling well last night. Went to bed with a bucket next to the bed. Not a good sign. Still not feeling well this morning but went to work. Nothing worse than a man not feeling good.

Work for me today. I have a meeting at church tonight so I seriously doubt if I'll get time to scrap. Bummer.

Hope you all start off your week with a bang!

 Phylis!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am here this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:peace::peace::peace::peace: so you missed me!! I feel all fuzzy inside!!!

sorry I have been MIA....OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! these kids were out of school early on Thursday and out on Friday...............I have been doing my best to keep them busy and occupied!!! I was totally exhausted by yesterday evening....I put them to bed at 7 pm!!! I wanted to run out and kiss that bus driver this morning!!!!!!!! They were good kids...but Mike has been hunting..so it was mostly me...

Friday I went with Sharon to the pumpkin patch (MY SECOND TRIP). I let my Mom keep the other kids for three hours while we went with Savannah's daycare.... I visited with Mom and Dad for a while....Mom is not doing so great...I am headed over there in about an hour to clean for her.

Saturday we went to one of the local TV stations....they had WEATHERFEST....all different kinds of set ups about weather, energy, equipment...a good learning experience for the kids. Not quite the FUNFILLED ENERGY BUSTING STUFF they like to do the most...but it tweaked their curiosity.

Yesterday we painted all these pumpkins that the kids had been collecting from the pumpkin patch....well me and the girls...the boys seem to have PLAY on the brain.

I guess Sharon got her fill of me this weekend...we haven't spent that much time together in quite some time!! It was nice!! So I cheated on you girls with my daughter!! forgive me!!!!!!!!!!

Okay...................gotta run..............Mike is going to be fast asleep if I don't get him moving to get to my Mom's............we have a job for him too!! :eyebrows:

Have a great day girlies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning Ladies... Not going to be a fun week for me! Working almost every day. :mmph: but its my own fault, I just couldn't say no to my friend in need. Had a great visit with my brother and sister-in-law! My MG did up some beautiful steaks on the BBQ they were done to perfection! Also had some prawns to go along with them yummmm!! Lots of talking and laughter, we always have a good time together! I will miss them while they are away in Australia for six months!!

Chris - Yikes this room you are cleaning sounds like a real challenge! Hope we see you here later today and we don't have to send in the calvary to find you!!

LindaS - Love how you love your kids!! I miss those days of going to hockey and figure skating, gymnastics and karate lessons! But I don't think I could do it all again at my age LOL. Enjoy these years, they fly by!!!

Phylis - I am praying that I can start my ME, ME days soon, just have to pay for this darn computer and a few more things on my credit card and then I am going to pull the plug on work!! I have so many things I want to do at home and this dam working for a living is just getting in the way!! It would be different if I truly loved my job, but I don't!!!

Donna - What a nice son you have, to spend such a good time with your mother!! I would have loved to see the look on her face, when you showed her the layout you did of her in the magazine!! What a nice gift for her!

Terry - Sorry that your hubby was not feeling well last night, sounds like a typical man, they are such babies when they are sick, but they won't stay home from work either :no idea: hope that he feels better and that it is nothing more serious than the flu!!

Well best get this day started, the sooner its done the better!! Enjoy the day everyone!!

Morning ladies though it is a bit of a late morning - I am like Phylis and love being a retiree with my time finally my own time. My me philosophy is that I worked to live I did not live to work. I had a great job while my husband has a career. I no longer stress about what does or does not get done. So with that in mind my hubby and I spent Sunday at my favorite crafts fair and then hiking at Jockey hollow. So good to be out and moving about. Was so happy also with the photos I took. My Sat with my DIL was really fun. She got a new iPhone and is now playing with all the apps. Makes it so much easier now that she has the same phone for txt and sharing.

Linda - wow what a busy weekend! So glad you can now rest!

Chris - sounds like your cleaning might be fun as you can see all he has collected

Terry - so sad that you hubby does not feel well!

Trudy - I would love to spend 6 months in Australia - I know you will miss them but they should have some great stories to share!

Donna - you have a nice son - how fun to have surprised your mother with her page in the book

NANAAAAAAAAAA!!!!! well, you were MIA, but sounds like you were having some fun. you're doing all the stuff i never do, since my Grandmen are half a world away. you are like a walking fabulous Daycare Center: loaded with love and fun!!

Donna, YOU'RE BAAAACK!! so glad to see you again. we missed you. the CT tried to carry on in your absence, but we missed ya. you son sounds like a prince. what a great kid. i would give anything to have been a fly on the wall to see your mom's face when she saw the magazine!

Terry, 9 years will hopefully go by quickly. the trouble with that is that you will then be 9years older!! sounds like you and your hubby do fun stuff, even though you both are working full time.

Trudy, we will all drink a toast to you :partywine on the day you pull the plug on this job. i will stock up on bubbly so i can join in a toast to you getting out from under that place!

Nancy, just two girls hangin' out and havin' a good time doing it, eh?? :becky: that's us!
