Annnd we are back to Monday! Did everyone's weekend fly by or was it just me? My weekend might have flown since I spent part of it as a bat. Photo proof is here:
Halloween costumes?
:D
I had a quiet but productive day yesterday. I knocked out a few more weeks of lesson plans and I love that ideas and activities are coming together. Like I said many times before, you can plan, plan, plan and still have things spin out of control but what can you do? After the disaster of a day last Tuesday, I joked with the staff that if I bombed again on Thursday, it wasn't for lack of trying and preparing. I am so glad and relieved that I am *finally* learning to cut myself some slack. It only took me 56 years. :rotfl:

I have another quiet day - no big plans at all. The weather is going to be amazing-- mid-70s and sunny so I plan to rake the leaves in the front yard. I felt bad that I spent the entire day yesterday inside, but then I realized that I spend my work days outside, so-- cut yourself some slack, Faery. *winks*
I only have one Dr appt this week so at least that is slowing down. Maybe that means I'll have some time to catch up on some scrapping. That would be a nice change in my day.

Wishing everyone a great start to the week!

@JeanneMN I have completely integrated you and Minions that every time I drive down my street and I see the Halloween Minion inflatable, I think of you. LOL! That meme for Vicky is hysterical.
I'm like you, I used to plant some bulbs and annuals in the spring but not anymore. It's all perennials that I can split and spread.
Plus, bulbs in Mr. Wendell's garage, OMG, that's not going to happen.
Bwuhahahah! Mr. Wendell must keep his garage nice and clean :D Meanwhile, I am (sort of) glad that we don't have a garage. It would only be one more place to store s***-- I mean, things that Gary might need in the next 50 years- the same as the attic and basement :D

I am more like Cheryl-- my main clothing colors are grey and dark green or purple. I used to only wear black but it got too complicated trying to do laundry. Separating Cait's clothes and mine became a nightmare so I switched to grey.
Happy birthday to Wendell's aunt! How was the party, were you able to keep your blood pressure within normal limits?

Need to post so I can take care of the dogs, BRB!

OMG, I was outside with Jaida standing next to Caitlyn's car when it turned on. I don't know who jumped more, me or J! Took me a minute to remember Cait has a remote start. :thud: :rotfl:

@BrightEyes Hope you had a very relaxing PJ day and are ready for the shopping trip today.
I hear you about the crazy weather. If I had enough foresight, I would have asked if my mom and I could have made a trip down the shore this week just for lunch on the beach. Meanwhile, we had Freeze warnings a few days ago.

@Cherylndesigns Only you and Ava could go on a Where's the Other Cheryl? Adventure. :floorlaugh:
I'm starting to wonder if the Universe is trying to tell you you have enough dang sweaters!
I got my fuzzy PJ pants and sweaters out of the attic the other day. It's nice to have something to snuggle into.
Good luck with the LO that you are struggling with, I had more than a few of them this past month too.

xoxo

Traveling home today. Left Michael and Jessica about 7:21 their time. We lose an hour since we're traveling east from Alabama. Had a good, relaxing time, even with a bump along the way.

Good Monday Morning everyone! It is another grey and rainy day, but I think today will be the last of the heavy rainfall for a few days! We survived the Atmospheric River and so far have had a total of 101mm that is about 4inches of rainfall and high wind gusts, so we now have a lot of cleanup to do in the yards Ugh!! However the across the way from us in West Vancouver they saw double the amount of rainfall and lots of flooding, one person missing after their house was washed away in a mudslide. I had a fun time with my sister and her daughter and her granddaughter at the Calico Cat Tea House. We enjoyed a nice lunch and lots of chatting and laughter! We all had a tea leaf reading and that was fun too. Apparently my sister's daughter is supposed to find the love of her life and the granddaughter is supposed to have another baby, a boy. I am supposed to go on 4 trips over the next year lol wouldn't that be nice!! My sister gets mad every time she has a reading, seems all they talk about is her husband . The trip there and back was some white knuckle driving as the roads had lots of pooling water and it was raining cats and dogs!! But we made it safely and our new vehicle is great on the road, my sister is a nervous nelly in the car, but she said that she felt very safe driving with me, so that was nice! Yesterday was busy with getting our groceries, cleaning the house, doing laundry and cutting both my DH's and FIL's hair. Then I had to clean up that mess :giggle4:. FIL stayed and had a beer with his son and we chatted a bit about this and that. So today I need to wash floors its the only thing that did not get cleaned yesterday. If the sun decides to pop out later today I will get out for a good walk. Other than that I hope to get a page posted to the gallery and then work on my calendars.

Glad that you get to have a quiet day again today, lucky you for having the beautiful weather, it was so miserable here over the past couple of days! One more dr. appt. what for now?? Seems you have spent a lot of days getting poked and prodded, but I guess its a good thing to know that you are doing so well!! BTW I love that photo of you as a cute little bat!! Great costume! Hope you get to do some scrapping today!!

Have a safe trip home! Hope you are not too stiff and sore from your fall!! My goodness Vicky, you are going to have to wrap yourself up in bubble wrap for your next visit!!

Oh forgot to mention that DH and I voted on Saturday morning and my Gary had to vote twice as his first vote got stuck in the machine and they could not figure out how to get it unstuck, it took us forever to get our voting done as they had a big book to go through for trouble shooting the paper jam and then phone calls to the higher ups, but no one could get it working again, so they had to do another vote for DH and then off we went. Technology is great when it works right?!! We still don't know who won the election, it was too close and now they have to do a re-count so now we all wait :waiting:. Gotta go Heather is calling :waving3:

Hi folks! Here I am, back from our vacation in Portugal and Spain. We had a fantastic trip. I am now totally spoiled, having spent a solid week on a luxury cruise ship. But I did learn that there will never be any reason for me to sign up for a drinks package, because even with all drinks included all day long, I still only wanted a glass or two of wine. The ice cream, though......

We got back Thursday night but it's taken me the weekend to get over jet lag and unpacking and catching up. Well, catching up isn't really done yet. I see that I have 2 more days to use my coupon from September challenges, so I better think about that. I also just made our plane reservations to fly to Seattle to spend Thanksgiving with the kids, and, holy cow! that's in only a few weeks. Plus I have jury duty next week. Maybe I'll be lucky and won't be called up.

We took classes to learn how to make tagine in Tangier, and paella in Valencia. I am inspired and want to try both of those here at home. The tagine is really easy so maybe I'll start with that. You need special rice for the paella to be authentic; that may or may not make it past my limit of how hard I'm willing to work at it.

I don't expect I'll catch up on what's been happening the last couple weeks, so I'll just say it's nice to be back and I hope the month is going well for everyone.

I made it over to the base this morning... only to find out the Pharmacy was close so the workers there could get their vaccinations...But the closure was not on any of the closure notices to us!!!:crying1::sad1: I did do the commissary run and paid my Credit Union bill while I was there so the trip wasn't wasted - but now I need to figure out when I will go back to pick up my Rx..... I forgot that there is a huge interstate highway construction and of course I ended up going over the bridge at that intersection.... Yikes... what a mess it was with lane closures, etc. ..I came home a different way but there was 3 more construction zones in addition to the big one. Guess I will bite the bullet and try to go a different way when I go - but the back gate is only opened from 6 - 9 AM so that means driving during heavy morning traffic hours.

I am worn out and ready for a nap.
