I am sorry. I am opening this thread with such a heavy heart. I woke to the news of America's 273 mass shooting this year. 50 people dead. The horror of Puerto Rico. Decomposing bodies. A madman threatening NK on Twitter.

I. Just. Can't.

Feel free to fill this thread with love and joy and peace.
I am going to hug my family tighter, love, on my pets... I told Caitlyn this morning that I love animals so much because they are (relatively, in the case of our Whisky!) uncomplicated.

morning - I don't think any of us can believe what has happened. I went to bed after reading of a terriorist attack in Edmonton and then Las Vegas. It does not make sense. Love to all!

What another sad morning for the world!! Reading about the shooting in Vegas has me feeling the same way Chris!! I will try to spread a bit of love and happiness here today, but it is hard when your faith in humanity is damaged by such tragedy! It is however a sunny morning here and I have another full day. Sister in Law Linda is involved with the Tour de Rock ride for Cancer and is organizing things in her Town of Ladysmith. Her photographer has backed out of his duties to take photos of all the riders and their sponsors so she has asked me to step in to do that today. I am not a pro photographer by any means, but I guess I am better than no one LOL. I was pretty absent from the computer yesterday and got all of my house cleaning done along with helping DH take down our old butterfly bush in the backyard. It was growing into a monster and was not looking that healthy anymore, so down it came and we loaded up the truck with all the branches and other garden debris and headed to Bings Creek to the Recycle Centre. Whew another big job done.

Chris - I know that your heart is sad this morning along with so many others in the States today. Sending you and all of the U.S.A. big hugs, you could use some good news for a change!!

Take care my friend!

Nancy - The terrorist attack in Edmonton was a real shocker to all of us here in Canada, it seems that there is no end to it all, no where is safe anymore. Will it ever stop?? Somehow I don't think so. I hope you and Luther can get out for a nice walk and lift your heavy heart!

Rae - Hope your trip home was without incident! Sounds like another great shopping experience, I spent the day in my nice cozy sweater and leggings I love sweater weather!!

Felis - Thanks for the nice comments on my pages! I hope that the weather warms up a bit for you, but yes it is nice to just laze around watch TV for a day!!

Jean - You are so busy with your genealogy work! Hope the sun is shining bright for you again today.

Off to shower and get ready for my day in Ladysmith, I hope this won't take too long I have so many other things that I would like to get done today. I pray that you all have a least a tiny bit of good news in your day, we could all use it!!

I want to add today's shining sun to everyone. How can the world be like this when there is such beauty and we can share so much love? Later hope to scrap some and hope to fill them with those things.

Wishing peace for each of you.

Good morning, ladies. I'm watching the news on my laptop and my heart is heavy with all the tragedy in Edmonton and Las Vegas. I don't understand all the violence and hate in the world. I heard that they are trying to lift the additional charge for buying a gun with a silencer on it. I hope that never goes thru. I am not pro gun at all.

On a brighter note, Taz & I headed out to run errands yesterday afternoon before dinner time, Taz enjoyed a visit to the pet store and I found some more circular hooks and non-slip clothes hangers at the dollar store so got my new scarves and shirts hung up.

We had a quiet night, watched a few shows and was ready for bed a bit early. Good thing too b/c he had me up at 5 to go outside and I didn't get back into a sound sleep after that. We never had our birthday celebration with Bailey. Both her and Jen are sick so we're waiting a few days to see how they feel before making plans again.

I'm almost finished my sci-fi book "Morning Star" and am thrilled to hear that there is a 4th book coming out. I guess the trilogy was such a success that the author decided to do another. Hope it'll be as good as the first 3.

Chris - hope you get outdoors and have some dirt therapy to lift your spirits. As horrifying as the world can be, I feel we have to try to combat it by filling the world with kindness, positive thoughts and compassion.

Trudy - hope you enjoy taking the photos. I think weather-wise its going to be clear skies and warm.

Nancy, Jean and everyone else, hope you are all well.

Have a great day, everyone....I'm off to do desk work now.

It's not fair, this is why I don't watch the news, but of course my mom come with the most awful of them: terrible police aggressions at Catalonia referendum, madness tragedy at Vegas, and from you I hear for Puerto Rico.
I had such a good day and even was start to feel festive, because Chris decorating for Halloween, Trudy told me that their Thanksgiving is next week. Here was lovely warm day. And then all this sh*** , where this damned humanity goes. We need love and sympathy!

Trudy, so good that you will join to this campaign!

Rae, bad that the sickness is failed your plans. But hope soon to can realize them! I'm happy that you are found good deal at the dollar store!

Chris, Jean and Nancy, hugs girls! Hope you have a quiet day with your beloveds! And we all could to wake up with more hopes tomorrow!
Send my prayers to the family of the victims around the world!
