Daily Ooos: Monday, October 18

I know that everyone has been waiting impatiently to hear whether writing the To-Do list again helped.
Well, I am glad that you asked. (You didn't ask? No matter, I am going to tell you anyway )
It helped so darn much, I had 11 things written down and I did them ALL! And hoo-boy I am lucky I wrote down that I needed to make a card for my SIL's b-day (tomorrow eep) because I would have forgotten- again. I still have to get her a gift but not sure when I will be seeing her.

I was away from the computer for a while... am rat sitting for a few days while Caitlyn and Tom are "farm sitting" for one of his best friends. My goodness, those girls are so sweet. I got some nice snuggles from the old girls and the babies (not babies anymore- almost 2!) are such brats. My phone kept autocorrecting Evie's name to Evil and Caitlyn thought it was intentional. Hahaha!!

So yeah, I was able to get a lot done yesterday, I finally placed the order for the F-W's stuff. I am going to see what happens with making my own coffee butter and then turn that into the scrub if it comes out good. I have a basic hand lotion and shower gel. Bath bombs. A muscle rub oil with menthol crystals. Room freshener spray to go with the gnomes. I didn't make anything last year so I had to buy a lot of stuff but I know I will make it back.

Today is going to be scrapping. Probably. I need to clean all of my gardening tools and put them away. And scoop the lawn. Now that Gary had the lawn mostly set up, we will get people coming to take pictures. I don't mind them on the front of the lawn. I don't think it is fair if they can't see the dog poop under the leaves. I mean, the dogs *are* barking at them so they should assume there might be dog poop, but I have to take some responsibility hahaha

Of course, I will be up with the rats a lot of the time too. The reason I had to stop what I was doing here was that Caitlyn started texting me at 8 am to ask how they were. 8 am!!! It's all good, I don't mind, they give me love back so it is a nice way to start the day.

@tjscraps I am not creative, I just pretend. My answer to everything is hot glue.
Ditto to what Cheryl said-- this is a no-pressure space, read and comment as much or as little as you like. But we have a lot of fun and it is really amazing how well we all get along. Even with Eva. And me. How the rest of you all put up with me and Eva-no one knows. ROTFLMAO!

@Cherylndesigns Thank you sooo much for the nice words about my niece. She is so strong and fearless in her convictions. Campbell kids-- they are all something special. <3

That Kinleigh is PRECIOUS!!!! My heart! What a happy baby! I could use all of the !!! in the world and there wouldn't be enough LOL It must have been hard to see her leave.

@felis I remember the same things when I was a kid- always be aware of your surroundings, always park under a street lamp. You think that you *should* feel secure at work but it doesn't seem that way.
I am sorry about making you sad about the snakes. I was thinking about it as a commentary on the crazy weather patterns more than anything.

I'm slowly getting back to reality after the vacation. Been doing some cleaning & laundry today. Plus been to the pharmacy & with John to the dentist. He doesn't need his mom to go to the dentist anymore, other than to pay that is. LOL It was sooo cold here today, grass was all white from frost. They got a ton of snow further up north in Sweden - winter is coming.

Prepared a pasta sauce for dinner. Tomatoes, chili, bell pepper, garlic and lentils. Think I made a good one. We'll see. Urban is closing today, so he won't be home until 6.30ish, and I'm already hungry. As always: forgot to eat lunch LOL

Feeling a bit non-creative today, meant to scrap, but I ended up cleaning the bathroom!?!??? That's how you know you're in a non-creative mood LOL

Not much happening here - still watching Sopranos & still reading about Madeleine McCann. No work until Thursday, but I sure should do some more cleaning ... or watch Youtube ...

Gotta go and find something to eat.

Happy Monday everyone! Had my usual busy Sunday with my Gary. We took advantage of the break in the rain and chopped our Japanese Aralia down to size. Man that thing was huge! Don't think we can kill it, but it will be interesting to see if it survives or not. We lost just about all of our cedar bushes that are scattered around the side and back of the house. Not sure if its a disease thing or if its because of the heat dome that we had this summer. It was hotter than hell for more than a week and the plants all suffered because of it. Anyway we filled the back of the truck with everything and off to Bings Creek we went to dump off all of our yard waste. The cedars will be the next thing we have to attend to. Working on my last Halloween card for the grands and hopefully my calendar. Not much else happening around here. I got all of my housework done yesterday too, so its nice to have a clean house for the rest of the week. The colours are just amazing right now, we thought that they might not be because of the drought conditions we had summer, but Mother Nature is showing off, it makes me so happy!

@faerywings - Glad that your list is helping you out so much, ya I have plenty of days where I am busy, but feel like I got nothing accomplished LOL. To answer your question, the Lake is back up to normal levels as well as the rivers, so we are thankful for all the rain that we have had. Now if it would just stop for our hiking days. I don't ask for much do I?? Glad that you are enjoying all those snuggles with the rats! Hope your Coffee Butter turns out and saves you lots of $$! Keep up the good work with your lists, I really have to get better with making lists also!

@tanteva - Ha, Ha, ha!!! Love that frog! Yes you know that your creativity is in a slump when you decide its better to clean the bathroom LOL. Are you happy about winter coming? Do you love the snow? Me not so much!

@Cherylndesigns - What a precious baby! It must have been so hard to say goodbye to them! Nice that you have a great place to go to eat so close to you! Saw Ava's facebook page, amazing photos!!

@tjscraps - How nice to see you here in the Daily O's!! We are a pretty relaxed group and hope you like it here!

@felis - I am sad that someone said something not so nice to you on Instagram!! Remember that the people who say nasty things are most likely jealous of you or envious! You know that we are all supportive and hope that you continue to be active here and on Instagram!

Oh, no that's wouldn't bother me at all . But he was noticed about personal details, which is so freaking scary! I'm kind of paranoid. But my sister think that it's common and can be guessed. He probably try random things and one of ten times they match, I just was this one time.

When you say rats do you mean, literally, rats? Rats are outlawed here - they have a 'rat patrol' on the border between our province and the next province, they claim Alberta is rat free - you can't have one as a pet, that's why I'm wondering if you mean literal rats or not? lol

My WLS one attracted ALL sorts of creeps DM'ing me all the freaking time. I finally put in my profile "Happily married, I don't answer DM's not related to WLS" and they stopped, but seriously there is a lot of men out there that just freaked me out and they suddenly started hitting on me from this new profile. I have since deleted it lol

Typical Monday here - work is not too busy (knock on wood) so trying to catch up on some stuff and relaxing a bit with it. Which is probably good because I am so tired I am having trouble keeping my eyes open lol We had a busy weekend with company and staying up late visiting, so just feel sluggish today.

I definitely have a big fault as I like small talk and meeting interesting people, so I'm enjoy DMs that have some topic related to my hobbies. But I'm always careful and on distant.

Helloooo!! I'm SO late today! I've been cleaning up my files - YUCK! What a huge job, but it needs to be done. I completely lost track of time, but got a lot done. I have to "organize" because I'll be making a couple of photobooks for Christmas gifts. The hardest part, for me, is organizing the pages I want to include, then getting them in some sort of order. It's so much easier to do it in the uploading process.

Oh my, I've been sitting here chuckling at all of your comments. Chris @faerywings and Eva @tanteva - you two crack me up. Then Trina's @tjscraps question about the rats!!! ROTFLMBO (WHERE are those emojies?????) I was dying - "you mean rats, as in rats"????? Trina, you'll get used to the craziness around here. We talk about everything.

Trudy @taxed4ever and Chris @faerywings I miss Kinleigh SO much! Poor Adrienne was here most of the afternoon and she was so sad - I just sat and loved her and told her to cry it out. She came down for coffee this am and was so much better. She just appreciated me letting her get her sadness out. She's planning to fly there for Kin's year old birthday. I'm holding out on planning to get on a plane - I'm SO afraid of that still.

Trudy, glad you got to see Ava's work! She's a busy girl - had 4 photo shoots yesterday! People are eating that up - she's getting requests from all over the place. They have to drive here, though. She's planning to expand - probably weddings. UGH. I shot two weddings and said never again.

Chris, yes, a pie shop that serves mac and cheese and everything else you can imagine. Roger eats lunch there nearly every day. Nancy is on the job and loves to test new recipes out on our family. The kids asked Chuck is Nancy could have one of his chocolate cake recipes and he gave it to her. She has to call it "Chuckie's Chocolate Cake". She just started serving meat loaf, but Rog says it's not as good as Chuck's. (He wouldn't tell me if it was.)

I don't mind winter, if it really IS winter. If it is really cold and the snow it white and crispy, I love it. But I hate it when it's not cold enough and the entire world is just gray slush.

Woke up this morning - and we've had the first snow. Just a bit of white powder, and I'm sure it all will disappear before the end of the day.
