Wooo hoo! Monday!
Very seriously, I woke up feeling good, mentally at least. Some mornings I wake up like a nasty crabby ol' bear. Today--don't ask me why, but I woke up feeling pretty decent. That is surprising because we has a really busy weekend and I didn;t get as much done as I had hoped. But hey- whatever works, eh?? LOL

I am so excited, I am getting my hair done today. I haven't had it colored in 6 months. eep! Lots and lots of grey. But that is kind of good b/s it blends in the the 3" dark brown roots a bit.

Me Me Monday-- I can't really count the hair cut, b/c my hairdresser comes to my house so its just not the same as going to the salon... But since I didn't get to scrap at all this wekeend, that is whati am going to do. Nina came out with a bunch of gorgeous new stuff that I have got to use!

After my ALL DAY pumpkin patch visit...that kicked my butt.......then I kept THREE kids yesterday...........until after 6 pm..........

I AM STILL EXHAUSTED...........They were all wide open...........and now it's time for my kiddies to come this morning..........I AM SO NOT READY TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh as I type I see Connor's Mom pulling in the driveway!!!

Good morning Monday

I have not been on here in a while. I finally get a small break in studying!

We had a very busy weekend. I got to go camping with the boy scouts and work in the GAIN (global aid network) factory sorting seeds for the hungry overseas. It was a wonderful experience. My 10 year old says that we need to go back there more often as just a family to help out!

We then got to go to a huge corn maze in the dark. It took us 2 hours to navigate it and we finally had to get help finding our way out. It was so much fun!

Now I get to finally spend a day scrapping! Yay! So pour myself a cup of coffee, hop on here, check out the forum, and get to fun!

Ok, no more cranky.

Boy am I relieved Amanda's challenge ended last night!!! I was sitting on pins and needles until the very last seconds. I was so afraid it was going to be like an ebay auction and someone would come in at the last minute, lol.

Today is busy day. Trip to wal mart to get last minute things.

Funny husband story... he always gets unscented/lightly scented things because of his allergies. Well, he lost the deodorant I JUST bought him, and used mine the night before last. I use the secret one that has the dress on it with the blue background. Super girly. And now, I'm to buy it for him too. Maybe it reminds him of me when he's at work dealing with drunks, lol. Idk... because if that was so, he needs to wear my midnight pomegranate body spray.

I'll be back in an hour or two for personals. Going to try and get another hour of sleep. I need to catch up on my sleep, need to be awake for both of us tomorrow.

Morning Ladies :wave: I wanted to share a couple of photos that DH and I took on our hike to the Fish Ladders at Skutz Falls yesterday, it was a glorious sunny day and we were joined on our hike by this chubby little guy. Isn't he cute?? He wasn't one bit afraid of us and was having a ball swimming in and out of the ladders to try to catch some fish.

After being out for most of the afternoon, we arrived back home and DH announced that he wasn't feeling so good, sore throat and headache, so he lied down and had a nap, woke up with a full blown cold. Darn it was such a great day not a good way to end it.
Oh well I am off to work for four hrs today then 2 days to spend here scrapping before I have to go back to work. I love my new job!!

Today for us...it's CLEANING day!! yike! I've been avoiding it (well, a little distracted!! LOL!) and today we've got to get something done, so we don't look like an episode of Hoarders!! LOL!!

Okay so I just have this visual of Sally becoming a hoarder and then being all excited about it and then blogging about it. Weirdness!! Anyway, Monday is just a day today since I am on vacation. We got back from leavenworth yesterday and it was a great trip. we had so much fun. But now we are back and my mom is making me crazy. Why do all mom's have that ability to make their children crazy? Ugh!! Derek and Addie ran off to get the dog today. ethan is going to be so excited when he gets here. I am too. Today i cancelled Ethan doing his regular reading because him and my sis are going to do some Halloween research. So, I looked it up and wrote up some questions about it so that he can come up with some answers and we can call that reading today. plus my sister will explain how to use the computer for research better than I can. I also included a question about what he feels about Halloween and why people do or do not celebrate it. There were these kids who live across the street from where we used to live and their parents didn't believe in Halloween or something and wouldn't let them wear costumes. That is great for them, whatever. what irritated me was that the parents would let their kids go trick'or'treating not being dressed up. It really bothered me. You either believe that halloween is good for your family or not. you don't use it as a way to get free candy for your kids if they don't put in the effore to get dressed up. You stay at home or got out, turn off your light and don't participate in the tradition. I just thought it was lame. But I am interested to hear what Ethan has to say about Halloween after reading about it on his own. He is still new at the concept of having his own opinions but I love to hear them when he does.

I got all of my Leavenworth pics on FB. You should check them out. I got some fun ones and some pretty ones. It was great. Okay, so now my head is starting to hurt so no book for you...

Chris - are you delirious? I think someone must have slipped some serious happy pills in your coffee because i have NEVER seen you truly excited about a Monday. WTH?!?! I really hope your day continues to go well. Yay for the hair salon. I dye my own hair and have for years and years but I love to go and get my haircut every so often.

Laurie - good luch with leaving work at work. I hope that works for you today.

LindaS - Last week of soccer? Wow, that means it is getting close to really being winter. Eeek! Hugs and prayers for your mom this week.

LindaW - I would so come and help you with the kids if I lived closer. I hope the pumpkin patch was fun even if crazy. I hope your day goes well and isn't a totally Manic Monday for you.

Katrina - Sounds like a crazy busy weekend. Derek took Ethan to the cubscouts camp out and that ended up not working out so well for them. ooops. Glad you had fun.

Meg - i am sure that you rocked Amanda's challenge. I wanted to do it but with this vacation time got away from me. I might just do it on my own because it was sucha great challenge. I hope your day goes upward from here.

Trudy - That hike looks amazing. How fun to be joined on the walk by an otter. How cute.

Sally - have fun cleaning and stuff. How did your craft show go? was it last weekend or next weekend? Keep us posted on how it went.

Well you know what hit the fan this morning! DH and I had our requisite monthly PMS fight. He kept from me the fact that he was letting his brother slide on paying his portion of the cell phone bill (he hasn't been paying bc we bought his tv in exchange, but it was paid off last month or two...,) so I didn't know not to send my BIL his reminder text (he's only paid on time once,) so he complained to the DH that I'm a bully. Ughhhh, I didn't know!! & here I've been thinking we had more money in the budget for our trip, oh well.

Lol, but it was funny how the fight ended -- DH suddenly perked up and said, "Oh, I just realized, this is a PMS fight." and we both broke up in massive laughter. Normally it would of just been a discussion (ie don't keep things from me!! even if you think it'll upset me!!!) but timing was just sooo bad....

So, when the DH was off to dreamland, I ran to target (food + two new shirts + toiletries) then costco gas, then costco for vitamins. THEN CVS, where my Rx was supposed to be filled... and wasn't going to be for another week. Wth? It only comes in monthly packs.... so then I walked around waiting to get it filled, and by the time I got back in line, there were more problems with other people... so an HOUR later... I was home.

At least I like my new shirts I got one in a bright, but still pastel, yellow with magenta and teal flowers. I know no one really looks good in yellow, but I <3 yellow... I used to be able to pull it off, so we'll see what the DH thinks.

Chris -- WOOHOOO!!! I know EXACTLY how you feel!!! Getting my hair done after a long time puts me in the same amazing mood I hope you enjoyed it!!!

Linda -- Yay to the end of soccer! Well, maybe boo, I don't know your opinion Is your mom handling the treatments so far? I know everyone has different reactions.

Laurie -- good luck getting work done at work!!

Nana Linda -- sounds like you need a vacation! I hope you are able to get some rest during naptime

Katrina -- Enjoy your son actually WANTING to do those things, because as soon as puberty hits... boys are grumps! My brother only keeps up with his scouting because he doesn't get to drive until he gets eagle, wings to wheels! Sounds like GAIN and camping was fun I'm thinking of trying to get World Vision to have our church put together their AIDS caregiver kits, now would be the best time because we just hosted their Experience AIDS.

Trudy -- OTTER!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! I LOVE OTTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm super jealous. I miss living up north, the library I went to when I was little had the river behind it and a little lagoon where the ducks and beavers would play.

Sally --- ROFLLLL!!!!!!!!!! Oh my goodness. Until your piles start moving on their own... you are not an episode of hoarders!
Thanks much I'm calmed down a little bit more, especially after seeing that there isn't any rain forecast - yet.

Clara -- I TOTALLY agree with you on the whole Halloween thing. We wont let our (future) kids do the whole ghouls and ghosts thing of halloween, but a more tame "harvest celebration" at church. I had one too many close calls during halloween when I was growing up, so my kids will probably only trick or treat at their grandparents or close neighbors. Your neighbors would of really irritated me too! I loved dressing up as a kid, and kids need a chance to do that every now and then.

Trudy those pics are so gorgeous - I'm still jealous of where you live but I am cool about it :becky: I was in Washington and Oregon yesterday so I tanked up on it! :thumb:

And what else? Am in rainy, chilly Californiyay right now, doing my challenges, spending more money in the O-shop, then I definitely need a shower today too (be glad you can't smell me through your monitor! :dizzy and not much else!
