Good morning my O-zies!
Guess what?
It's time.
Time for what, you ask?
It is time for me to freak out over the calendar. We are halfway through October!
:couchhide:

All of the stores that have their Christmas decorations out must be on to something. *snicker*
It's going to be Christmas before I even buy Halloween candy. Ha!

How was your weekend? It felt like an autumn weekend here. I puttered about the house in the morning and cooked all afternoon. I am caught up on my laundry, have my menu set up for the week, and started my grocery order. I make roasted ratatouille pasta and vegan breadsticks for dinner. Lots of prep work for that but worth it. Between the pasta and the homemade gnocchi soup I made on Saturday, I have leftovers for the next couple of nights. Yay!

And what is up for today? I have to put the empty Halloween boxes in the attic. Although- maybe I can store them in Scott's room instead. He asked us to not do anything with it just yet, he isn't ready to break that last link. Not that we have any money to furnish it in any way. And the carpet- Yuck! Totally needs to be ripped up. At some point, I want to paint and redecorate. But there is the problem of $$ (what else is new? LOL!).
I think I am going to steam clean up there today, that makes sense.
This afternoon is Coloring Crew and that's it!

Sending everyone love ♥ :sparkles1:

@BrightEyes Gary and are running out of stuff to watch so maybe we will give The Crown another try. We are watching Citadel right now and it's pretty stupid. Something with a little more mental engagement would be a nice change.
Wasn't the duck GIF funny? and 100% relatable. LOL
Be careful when you end up putting the albums away.

@vickyday Sounds like you are organized and ready to go. Have a fun, safe, and inspiring time away ♥

@Cherylndesigns I am sending you the biggest hugs I have. That must have been absolutely terrifying to have Chuck *ask* to go to the hospital. You knew something was very wrong when he did. I am really glad that the surgery went well, how long does he need to stay at the hospital? Please tell him that we are all sending him get well wishes.
Thanks for having Susie pass along the message to me but I hope that you know that no one expects you to do CO duties when something like that happens. That's the last thing you need to worry about.

Good morning lovelies. Sitting in the patient waiting room waiting for them to call me back. I’m feeling pretty calm. Should have recommendation for how to proceed either Wednesday or Thursday. Then who knows. But I’m going to be glad to have this step behind me. I’ll make sure to get back in here this evening to let you know how it went.

I agree! I love Christmas but it is ridiculous that it begins in September!

Yesterday was quite a day... managed to get several of my "to do" things off the list! Got the photo albums stashed away on the bottom shelf of the bookcase.. then found another album in my office - so back on my knees to get it put away. :crying1: I was looking at one of our family's earliest album with its torn off front and back with only the rings holding the pages together and it dawned on me that the pages could be transferred into a another ring binder and stored in another bookcase with other family albums and not tucked away in a box!!! Crazy that I seem to have thought that it should be always in that broken apart album!!!

Onward and upward... got the photo boxes tucked away on a shelf in the craft room closet. And cleared off 90% of the cutting table!! Oh... some of the things I discovered as I put things away... candle holders, and small votive candles, cord to an older computer, diary books with empty pages, and sewing patterns and artificial flowers. As you can tell... the craft table had turned into a 'catch-all' space. Most has been put away... just have a few more things to move. At least now I can stand to have the door to the craft room left open.

By that time, my stamina had run away screaming 'No More, No More!!!'! :eek3:Good thing that I had looked in the freezer earlier and pulled out a few meals. Had a delicious turkey and dumplings stew for lunch. So I am all set for the next few days of 'no cooking'... LOL

So today is a "do nothing" day... just kick back and relax or the body will rebel. HAGD

@Cherylndesigns So very sorry to hear about your husband's illness! Yes, having the ambulance coming to get him - with sirens and lights - is so scary and frightening. It was good that they were able to do a laparoscopy to remove the gallbladder. Hope he will be able to come home from the hospital soon.

@vickyday Enjoy your trip and then the mini-vacation after the conference.

@faerywings - WOW that is quite a bit of cooking. I know the family will enjoy eating all that yummy food!

Good morning. Ava and I are going to go see Chuck about noon today. He's doing as well as can be expected. I just like to keep my "family" in the loop. I just needed to unwind last night and what better place than in this forum? Chris @faerywings, I probably won't be real active for the next few days, until maybe at night when I'm trying to unwind again. Steph is on her way over and will be here late afternoon and she'll be staying for the rest of the week. She'll be a huge help to me. She told me not to do anything until she got here. I need to clean the bathroom and get the other bed changed, but I have orders not to do it - she'll help me. We're all excited that she's coming and we're having bd dinner for Braden tonight. So, there's some "sweet with the bitter". Chuck's the type that doesn't want to be fussed over - he just wants everybody to leave him alone and let him sleep. He'll probably throw us out today after an hour or so. He will probably be in there for the rest of the week, if not longer. He has a lung condition too and they want to monitor that before they let him come home.

I'll tell him you sent big hugs and I'll update you when I know more - later tonight. I doubt they'll be getting him up today, but who knows? You know he told us to get out yesterday. LOL I would say it was because he was delirious but that's just him. I've lived with the man for 40 years. That's always going to be our "take away humor from the hospital" now.

Well, I forgot to hit send. :floorlaugh: So, I'll update you. He's doing as well as can be expected today- he went through a LOT in thelast couple of days. They have him in ICU and he'll probably be there for a few days. He's developed some kind of infection but they don't know what it is until the cultures come back. Typical Chuck, he said he appreciated us coming up but he didn't feel like talking. He tells it like it is. Steph's on her way - she's in our county so I expect her to be rolling up any time. She's going to be such a help to me plus she can read all the machines and knows all of the medical jargon. I wished she'd been here yesterday, but she had to make sure she could work from here, etc. and it was kind of last minute. We kept in close contact with her and she was telling us what to look for and what questions to ask. Kay @BrightEyes I had a feeling you had heard "that siren". It's an awful sound.

Chris @faerywings thanks for all of your support and being the BEST FAERY LEADER in Digiland!!!:lovey3::beatingheart::heartpumplove:

Good evening. Got through the heart cath. The good news is that I have zero blockages. Now we just wait to hear the valve recommendations. I have my right hand splinted for the next few days so that I don't get the bleeding started. But all in all, it was good news!

Oh Cheryl, so glad that Steph is there. Perfect that she moved nearer.
