Dang! The weather changed here quickly. It is cold! It is feeling much more like Fall that it had been. which is a bummer but what can you do? I have to accept that it comes with the territory of living in the Northeast. It doesn't mean that I have to like it. Or that I won't complain about it. :blah:



How was your weekend? They go so fast. I didn't do much of anything yesterday. It takes me so long to get ready for food shopping so that killed much of my day. Then playing with the dogs took up another large part. These girls are so much fun to watch. At one point all three of them had a single scrap of toy and were tugging on it together. In the same direction. hahaha!!!

Scott took me for a drive in his new car which was fun. No luck with any of my tech, which was not so fun.

I am off to food shop in a bit, then housework and bills and all that good stuff.

Nancy- did Luther like the shore? Island Beach? Hope you got lots of pics of him. The weather was nice to be out as long as it wasn't too windy. I still want to get down one more day but it not looking very good to do that.
That is a great win against the Rangers, good to see the team understanding how to play.

felis-- that poem is great and how I feel most days.
The Tea is also in honor of those who have passed. We bring a food that represents them and then we light candles in honor of them. so it is a combination of Mourning/Remembrance and Halloween fun.

Rae- sorry that you had a crummy night's sleep esp with the heater turned off and then the TV.

Jean- yup, cold front and rain here today. And grocery shopping... the fun never ends LOL

Trudy- hope your party was a success!

I'll start new tradition with fatal Monday! Totally crashed day!!! At the earlier morning I tried to save files on the DVD disc. The speed of the disk slow down too much, and then it's show message for error and ''put another disk'', after that it's opened automatically the cd room. And when I tried to start the disc again on it have only 3 pics from many pictures and folders. I lose all layouts that I'm made for O. BUT also some projects I'm work but never posted. And many layouts that I was made for the previous site where I was scrap. They change the owner and the gallery was deleted and begin on new, so my profile there is deleted too. It's a pages I was made past few years and all is gone. :help:If someone have good idea, please share!
After that my aunt came to check in the web for example of CV. She have to start second job fast. This is so stressful at this time of the year, when will become too cold to travel. Before week this could be me. It's very stressful and my mom (I love you mom) which is most sarcastic and critical person, bring more nervous and negativism in the situation. When aunt needed only from encouragement.
And then one men called to told to my sister (I answered on the phone because she was busy) for some problems with the order that she was made. So she will have to deal with that at rest of the day.

Chris, we have similar tradition, but it's sad. With going on the graveyard to clean up it and bring candles, flowers and food to the spirits. And after that go at home and make something like the tea party, but mostly with coffee and food. Memories are being told and is mostly nostalgic. Oh and no special dress code. So I was imagine Mourning Tea like that! Actually your variant sounds better.
Oh this dogs game is so sweet. Mine are with different size, so we don't left them to play together, because they enthused too much and can fight. Here is sunny, so hope weather change back to warm for you too! :cool2:

good morning - well yesterday was so so fun. We did take Luther to the beach - sorry shore here in NJ. We went to Sandy Hook a National Recreational area with awesome views of NYC. Luther was not so sure on the ride down where we were going but he does not get sick so that is a good thing. Well he was so happy when he got there and got to play in the sand and in the water. He loved it. There were a lot more people than I expected. The day started out so cloudy but then it got windy and the sun came out and it was really nice. The water was still fairly warm. He also loved digging in the sand as if he was going to find China. I posted a slo-mo video on instagram. Took me a while to figure out when I was starting and stopping but luckily I could trim the videos on the mac and on my iPad so all is good. He slept the whole drive home. He then got a good bath so that was good and then he slept again. One tired but happy puppy! Today I have my annual eye vision exam. I have not seen much of a decline so I am happy about that. Watched some hockey and it is so fun to see how well in their very first season the Vegas Golden Knights are doing in hockey. They like the Devils are 4-1. Fun to see them do well. Their mascot is Chance the Gila Monster. Love it. My DH then got creative and cooked poblano chicken, stuffed baked potatoes and super spicy coleslaw. Awesome. Tonight is Yankee baseball and more hockey.

Chris good luck with shopping hope it goes fast and you find lots of deals. How fun to get a ride in the new car. Glad the dogs are doing so well together.

Felis hope today is sunny again and warm.

Trudy hope your party went well. How is that dishwasher doing?

Rae so sorry about the heat turning off. I hate sleeping cold makes my muscles hurt. Glad they were easy fixes!

Jean hope your rain ends soon. We have clouds here and tonight frost warning for norther counties.

Good morning, ladies. I've been organized this morning, got showered and dressed before D even got up (he is taking Mondays off for awhile so he doesn't need to get up so early), took the garbage out and got right to work. Now I can take a break for a minute, grab another coffee and get back to it. Its raining and chilly here today. I'm warm and cozy in my yoga pants and fleecy sweatshirt. Jen's coming soon to drop off her summer tires (she'll store them under the deck out back for the winter). Then at lunch time I'll pop over to the organic butcher shop to get the special on grassfed hamburger.

Dinner tonight will be easy, just some hamburger helper for D (he loves that stuff) and I can have salad and a burger patty. I need to find a few crockpot recipes to make soon as I've been in a rut, making the same old things all the time (not that I care) but D is probably tired of my cooking lately.

Chris - sounds like a lovely way to honor and remember those who are gone and dressing up just makes it more entertaining. Glad Scott got his new vehicle, bet that makes life easier. I love to hear of the dogs playing Makes me smile. As for the weather, it is getting wetter and colder here and between the rain and the dry leaves from a waterless summer, I think our autumn colors are going to suck this year. Nothing really looks pretty around here. I am hoping to take Taz for a walk next wkend if the rain stops and hopefully find a bit of color somewhere.

Nancy - sounds like a wonderful day and I can imagine Luther playing at the shore. Taz would be in his glory, racing up and down the shoreline, splashing. He rolls in the sand which drives me crazy but what can you do? Dogs will be dogs LOL.

Felis - so sorry to hear of your dvd LO loss. I've had that happen too many times to remember. Last year it happened to one large EHD and then when I got that back from the computer tech with many photos saved but thousands lost, which cost me a fortune), within 5 days another one stopped working and I lost everything. I was devastated to lose all those memories. Now I download my photos onto 2 drives and my LOs go into an online storage. I think we all have stories like this, of losing files/info with crashes.

Jean, Trudy, and everyone else....hope all is well.

Morning ladies... Well my party went very well and I did more than $1000.00 in sales so yay for me! I was nervous and my mouth was dry LOL but it all went well and I am sure I will get better the more parties I can do. Although I am not sure that I really like doing house parties. I think that perhaps I should try to do more online ones. So because I was the Consultant and also the Host of the party I will receive lots of free product and get paid too. All in all a pretty great day! It was nice to see all the ladies and so great to meet some new people that are friends of my SIL . MIL could not make it as she is sick with the flu, but her friend came to the party in her place, how nice was that? Today is my day to just relax and catch up here at the O. I have to take an item back to the hardware store, but other than that not much on my plate.

Chris - Sorry to hear that your weather has turned cooler, but it is inevitable I suppose. The colours out my kitchen window have turned so beautifully orange and red, I just love this time of year for the colours at least. Nice that you got to spend time playing with the dogs yesterday, too funny about them all trying to pull on the same item! Hope your food shopping goes smoothly and you find some good buys!

Felis - Yikes your Monday has not gone well at all!! That is horrible that you have lost all of your scrap pages etc. I hope that you can retrieve them somehow, I am sorry I have no suggestions for you except to search the internet for some ideas on how to get them back. I hope that your tomorrow is much better!! :hug:

Nancy - How nice that you got to the shore with Luther! I bet he had a wonderful time digging in the sand LOL. Did he go for a swim in the ocean? Our new dishwasher is working great, it even sings a little song when the cycle is complete LOL. Nice to have it all installed and working! Your Devils are playing great! Our Bruins not so much, but oh well it is what it is. More wonderful meals for you and your hubby! Nice that he cooks for you!

Rae - Hope that you enjoyed your time at the trailer and sure hope that your work week is not too heavy. Sure hope that your sore throat is all gone now, brrr it must have been chilly when the heat was not working and then frustrating when the TV wouldn't work either! Hopefully you get to have a visit with Bailey sometime soon!

Jean - How was your evening of football? Not my thing either, but it can be fun if your team is winning!! I miss going to the football games in Regina, they were always a great time at least in the warmer months, I do not do live games in minus 20 weather LOL. Hope you are having a nice day today!

The front passed by and now it is pretty chilly but the forecast is for gradual warming all week and mostly sunny. Sounds good to me. After football, I stayed up too late doing more German church records (I've got a week of my 30 days left) and then scrapped a LO. Did my Monday financial stuff and now I'm ready for a nap. But I almost never take one.

Chris, hope grocery shopping went as well as might be. Any clues at all on the tech issues? Anyway, dress warm and go to the shore even if it isn't warm.

Felis, ouch!! What a terrible way for Monday to act. I don't know what to do with the CD except what Rae said of having a computer tech person try to recover files. Hope it gets better quickly for all of you.

Nancy, taking Luther to the shore must have been great and a perfect place for him to play. Good luck with the hockey tonight, but not so much with the baseball. :mrgreen:

Rae, sounds like your usual busy day. With the changing weather, crockpot sounds like a good way to go.

Trudy, that sounds like lots of money for the party. Hope you like the products you'll get for your part in it as well as some cash. You have such beautiful views from your house, so the addition of fall color must make it totally outstanding. Hope you really get a nice relaxing day.
