Well. It looks like Autumn weather is crashing in. It is seriously so cold in here and tonight we are going to get into the low 30's with a frost warning. Y'all know how I feel about *that.* Blergh...

Yesterday was another blur. I didn't do much in the way of emails, but I got all of the mold/mildew in my bathroom scrubbed. I was able to find the recipe that I use, saved it on Pinterest. It is Borax, vinegar, water, and a bit of castile soap. i added some grapefruit essential oil so it would smell a bit pretty while I scrubbed too.

I heard back from BFF and she is in the same boat as me. Feeling semi-isolated. I understand that feeling all too well. We are going to meet for coffee soon and that should help us both.

Today is more :blah: I have to call two different health insurance companies. Yuck. I am also going to tape off the bathroom and maybe start cutting in with the paint.
I also have to figure out what is up with my technology. My iPod isn't syncing and my tablet drivers too. I was trying to use the pen yesterday and it was giving me fits. Internet is slow, network is all wonky. I know that you all have been there. :(

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

How is Luther today, nancy? Any better? It always astounds me when I hear that dogs get cold/viruses like we do. Once Harley had a stomach bug so severely that she needed to have IV fluids from dehydration and anti-nausea meds. Give him lots of belly rubs from me.

Rae- what a nice day with your hubs even if you didn't win at the casino. How was your Thanksgiving and Bailey's birthday celebration? She seems to be doing so much better than a while ago. Really happy for her!

Jean, hoping that today you are feeling back to yourself. If not, then very close to it. Glad that you are resting at least.

hugs!!!

Good morning - Luther is much much better. He went on a nice walk yesterday afternoon and again this am. He is really good about taking his medicine so that is great. Other than that is was a sports day, baseball football and hockey. The NY football teams are terrible.

Chris congrats on getting so much done on your bathroom. Your recipe sounds interesting and much better with the grapefruit smell! And I feel like you too chilly. I am not ready for that cold of temperatures. The worst is that it is still windy and that makes it worse for me.

Rae so glad that you had such calm weekend. And Happy Thanksgiving! Sound like it will be a great time with Bailey.

Jean so glad you are feeling better!

Have a great day all!

Good morning, ladies. Had a great day yesterday, hanging out with family. Bailey was so nervous but excited about hosting her first family dinner in her first apartment. It was wonderful. She baked a ham and I put the glaze together and brought it over so all she had to do was pour it over and bake a bit. I wrote it out on a file card for her so she'l have it for future use. We also had mashed potatoes, baked green bean & carrots tossed in oil, garlic, salt, pepper & oregano. She made a boxed dressing but added in spices and sauted onions. For dessert I brought cupcakes and pumpkin pie. She put out a few bowls of snack things to munch on as we waited for dinner. She had ju-jubes (my fave), chips and nachos. What a great hostess she was. Taz was happy too b/c he got a few mouthfuls of mashed potatoes when they dropped off the bowl as it was carried over to the table LOL. We all held hands and talked about what we're grateful for before eating. Bailey teared up, she was so emotional. After dinner she opened her birthday gifts from us and was thrilled with everything and cried when she read my card. I had written a message inside about being there at her birth (I assisted) and welcoming her into adulthood (her 19th birthday). She loved the digi card I made for her. It wasn't anything especially creative, I didn't have time to fiddle too much with it, but I know she appreciated the thought that it was handmade and she knows I haven't created cards in a long time. Came home, got jammies on, watched tv for an hour and then slept like a log all night. Today I'm editing so I'll be in my office for most of the day.

Chris - sorry to hear your friend is struggling but at least you know it's nothing about you, she wasn't mad about anything. Sounds like you got lots done in the bathroom. You're always so busy, always puttering. We need to finish our bathroom but keep putting it off. I hate painting but eventually we'll have to tackle it and get it done.

Nancy - so glad that Luther is feeling better.

Have a great day, everyone. I'm getting back to editing now. Bye.

Beautiful here today though chilly. Did the usual Monday morning stuff then put a piece of mail out until I remembered it's a holiday with no mail. So, happy Columbus Day? Our baseball game was postponed because of the rain in Boston yesterday, so hoping for win 3 today instead. It'll sound silly, but I hope Toronto is joined by Cleveland and the Chicago Cubs in advancing to the league championships as each is on one of the Great Lakes. Of course I REALLY want Cleveland to win it all.

Chris, you sound so busy and productive! Wishing you well with calling the insurance people, futile though the wishing may be. At least you'll get together with BFF.

Nancy, glad Luther is better and did a good walk. We thought the Giants would do better last night and OBJ looked better so maybe they'll get it together. I can't say I like the cold either, but some coming days are supposed to warm up a bit.

Rae, sounds like a wonderful Thanksgiving and great accomplishment for Bailey.
