:waving1 Hi everybody!
Did your weekend go by as quickly as mine did? Considering I didn't have any plans, I don't know where it went. And I don't feel all that great about that. You know how you feel like you have been busy non-stop but have absolutely *nothing* to show for it? That was my weekend. I can't even say that I feel rested and relaxed for the week ahead because I am NOT! :bouncing::upsidedownbanana::killer::toilet:

It's possible that my shaky mood is just the caffeine talking. :coffee1:
Maybe.

I spent way too much time going down a rabbit hole looking here for my stream-of-consciousness posts from when I had my breast cancer diagnosis and surgery. My BFF is having a hard time and has been asking me about things and I remember some, but not all of it. One good thing about doing the Daily Ooos for so very long is that I can use it as a searchable diary :D I was able to go back 10-11 years and read over what I was going through. Man, some of it was a *lot* -- One post discussed my Lyme treatment, getting a PICC line for the IV abx before the surgery while I was on Tindamax (abx from hell) **and** having PMS. That was the day that my appt with the breast surgeon was canceled because a water line froze and broke inside the dr office. :thud:
Good times, good times...

I wish I knew what I was doing today. I have to do yoga-- I only did 2 sessions last week. I'm getting lazy and this time of year is not the time to get lazy, mentally or physically.
I don't know what is messier- my brain or my house and which I should deal with first LOL

 vs. :housekeeping:

You are too funny! Hope your ankle is OK!
hehe-- more kooky than funny. My ankle was fine, thanks! I don't know if you felt this way after your osteo diagnosis but I feel a little more nervous about falling since then. Not nervous really-- more aware, maybe. When I was hiking last weekend I noticed I was very careful where I put my feet. Too bad I wasn't careful when I was vacuuming LOL
I hope that you did everything you wanted to do yesterday!

@Cherylndesigns Caitlyn thought we fell back last night, not Saturday. Thank goodness most clocks fix themselves these days.
I am so happy that Sam is better and I think Ava's theory makes total sense, he needed some food, water, and rest. Who wouldn't; after that?
Did the rain slow down enough so you could get out for shopping without getting washed away?

@BoatLady Do you live in a retirement community or just a really fun neighborhood? Either way, it sounds like a blast!
I am still cheering all of your monarchs on.
I'm the one who despises buttons so please keep your button LO away from me.
All I need is for Eva to come in here and make a page about ketchup-bottle-shaped buttons!!! :floorlaugh:

@BrightEyes Snow!? Yikes!! Stay warm!!

I am suddenly realizing that I have quite a list of things I dislike-- snow, ketchup, buttons, and the end of DST. It is all balanced out by the many things I love, including laughing with all of you :lovey3:

@mimes1 I am so excited for you and Mark and Bella! All of my fingers and toes are crossed that the job works out for her :praying2:
Musical rooms are worth it when you know that DD is coming home. How is your other DD doing (Darn it I can't remember her name, I am so sorry!) with her DH being away? Thinking of her too. ♥

Thank you for starting these threads everyday! It's such a joy to read everything, I love your humor, and such a fun way to get to know everyone. I'm thankful for this thread and having found you all.
Just think, 10 years from now, if you have a question about what it was like when Bella was moving home, you too can do a search here and find out! *G*

@AK_Tracy be safe on the roads! Do you have special winter tires that need for your cars? Or does everyone drive a 4-wheel drive?

Cheryl, glad the arm is better and WTG about the lighting!
Belly rubs and ear scritches to Sam and I hope he doesn't need a trip to the vet

Time to let my puppies out.
Oh- I had a dream that we rescued another dog. A light brown, pittie mix puppy who was about 3 months old in my dream.
Is it a sign?
Probably not. Also part of my dream was me worrying that W was going to fight with the new dog, I don't want to do that again.
When we rescued W, she had been a street dog all of life. She and J fought and bit each other and us. It was a rough few months. Nope, do not want to do that again.

Ended up turning off the light at 8:30PM last night... and woke up at 4:30AM this morning!!! :jawdrop3: Going to take awhile to get used to the time change... We are having a mixture of rain and snow - 37*F but feels like 22*F!!! :cold::cold::cold: Forecast for today is rain/snow most of the day. Guess it is a stay-home day for me. Checked the base pharmacy by phone yesterday... new message that they automatically do refills now but only hold them for 10 days!!! Well, that means that the refill I ordered a month ago had to be reordered.... It won't be ready until Thursday and the pharmacy will be closed on Friday. for a training day. Of course the forecast is for rain/snow on Thursday!! :rotfl:

Time to change sheets and put the down comforter between the sheets and the purple comforter... it has been on top the last week. It is cold enough now to put it where it belongs. Yes, I put on my flannel PJs... but haven't pulled out my long-johns yet! :lol23: Have to wait for the house to warm up before taking my morning shower :showering:

@faerywings we live in a neighborhood of almost 4,000 homes not gated, not a retirement community, all ages of people, just old homes built in the 70's so sturdy block houses. Our club has 400ish members...always trying to get more.
Oh sorry about the button thing but I am working on my page. I have an extensive button collection because I am a retired seamstress. I do not have any ketchup bottle ones so you are safe there but not sure what Eva will come up with. I'll warn you when I post my page so you won't have to look.

Just went to breakfast with Jay now I'm too stuffed. I got a call from granddaughter on the way back, she is on her way to interview. Dental assistant but worked for a dentist who is verbally abusive to everyone so she finally had enough. I hope she gets to change even though it a longer drive. I am going to go out to re-pot a few plants in my yard, fill the bird feeders. Jay is going to fixed some hurricane damage at the club so I will have house to myself. Awesome. There are a bunch of us girls going to the pool at 1 today so that will be nice. Our pool group is getting bigger and bigger I just hope it stays warm.

@mimes1 Bella moving back...I see your happy face from here. That is so awesome. We will be heading North next summer so will try to stop near you so we can get together again I would love to see Bella again too.

I agree with disliking snow!...after living much of my life with it in my older age I cannot deal with it so that is why we moved to Florida. Sorry @AK_Tracy I now you like it. Post lots of pics everyone I like to see it. Looks like a names storm is heading into the Gulf but should only give us rain this time, we need it so it will work out.

Monarch update: one will emerge today- Just looked it just emerged so will release it in a few hours. 5 in chrysalis no more eaters.

Have a sparkling day everyone.

I'm probably not as cautious as I should be with my osteo diagnosis.....obviously since I just suffered another fall, LOL!
I have noticed that since the last fall, I am watching every step I take when I am outside, especially while in the woods! Those tree roots will get you every time! ;)

@vickyday As we age falls are very scary. Acorns are like walking on marbles another danger in the woods.
Another reason we moved to Florida I was always afraid to fall in the snow and ice we had in CT. Go slow and look down and ahead. Don't fall again.

Good Morning,
Working on today's daily ATC but waiting on an answer from Christine Art as the product I want to use isn't accepting the team code. So, I need to move on to something else. Guess I'll check out another challenge.

My wrists are doing better. I have another brace ordered that is like the one I had for my left wrist after the break last year. I'm sure that will help, too! I'm afraid the age difference between Mark and I is going to be a nuisance for him now that I have osteo. I asked him if he was ready to trade me in for a younger model yet. He just laughed and said no.....thank goodness! ;). I'm trying to make sure I have my phone with me at all times just in case I do something stupid and fall again! Yesterday I went to the woods to take pictures and didn't even think of the phone.....he came looking for me after about 30 minutes.....with my phone. He was a bit perturbed! I let him ride me back to the house in the side-by-side.

Today is a pj day. Ilene and I do not get together on Mondays as I usually like to pick up around the house from the weekend. I'm not doing that today, however! It will wait! The dishes are put away, so I'm good! ;)

It's gloomy today. Supposed to be rain off and on throughout the week.

I need to go over my devotion for the widows' meeting next week. It is just a rough draft right now.....and long! I need to trim it down!

Have a great Monday!

Good Monday Morning everyone!! It is pouring rain and has been since around 10pm last night. Now the winds have really picked up so there will be a mess to clean up over the next couple of days. This wind will most likely take care of any remaining leaves on the trees :waving2: good bye beautiful colours of Autumn. I had another busy weekend of running errands with my DH and cleaning the house from top to bottom yesterday, also got all the laundry done and even had time to scrap a couple of calendar pages! Yay me!! 5 pages completed only 7 more to go LOL. I will try to get a couple posted in the gallery, but I can't put them on Facebook or Instagram as my family will see them there. Anyway it is a good day to continue with the calendar pages, its too wet and windy to leave the house today, but good news is that Wednesday, my hiking day will be sunny and mild and it will be at Stoney Hill which is very close to where I live! Hope the forecast doesn't change!!

Yes you are right the weekend flies by so quickly! Sorry you are feeling off, but I bet most of the country is feeling that way until all of this election stuff is over! Opps sorry did I just say that out loud?:notinfrontofthekids:I have been thinking of getting a layout done for the button challenge, its funny but as soon as I saw it I thought of you and your hate for all things buttons!! You would have died when Rae sent me her scrapping stash when she moved from Vancouver, there were a lot and I mean a lot of buttons!! You should see my MIL's stash of buttons as she was seamstress too and never threw out one of them, they all came along with her to the new house. Will be funny to see if Eva comes up with the ketchup bottle ones ( I bet she does!!). Hope that your day goes smoothly and you feel more (how should I say?) NORMAL??

I hear ya on the time change!! I woke up on Sunday morning at 6:30 am which was really 5:30am and just felt off all day long! Ended up going to bed at 9:30 which should have been 10:30 Ohhhh brother I hate that!!! Why can't we just stay the same all year long??? Then the running around changing all the clocks and my DH's alarm clock is a complicated one so we have to look up how to do it everytime. Brrr on your temps!! Good day to stay home for sure!!
'm probably not as cautious as I should be with my osteo diagnosis.....obviously since I just suffered another fall, LOL!
I have noticed that since the last fall, I am watching every step I take when I am outside, especially while in the woods! Those tree roots will get you every time!
I am more cautious about the hikes now also and always take a pole with me, those darn roots are the worst tripping hazard, but the slippery leaves covering the ground are pretty bad too! Hope you have a nice relaxing day at home today and you get your Devotion down to where you want it!
Just went to breakfast with Jay now I'm too stuffed. I got a call from granddaughter on the way back, she is on her way to interview. Hope your granddaughter gets the job!! What a horrible thing to have to deal with, abuse should never be tolerated in any way, shape or form!! Sounds like you will have a lovely day today! I wish I could join you at the pool! I used to swim laps a few times a week and I sure do miss it. However the pool just got so busy and then the homeless were coming in to use the washrooms and showers and most of us did not feel safe there anymore. Not sure if things have improved, I sure would like to get back to it!

Ok I am off to shower and then will post my calendar pages here this morning. Have a wonderful Monday ladies!! :waving3:

Good Morning O Fam!

I don't know what is messier- my brain or my house and which I should deal with first LOL

 vs. :housekeeping:
Clean the house, the mind will follow. Thats what I do and it helps. If my house is a mess so is my mind and I cant sit peacefully.
@AK_Tracy be safe on the roads! Do you have special winter tires that need for your cars? Or does everyone drive a 4-wheel drive?
We are a mix up here. Some (70%) have 4-wheel. Some (50-75%) use studded tires. I'm a rebel and tired of the $$ spent always changing tires. I bought year round tires with good tread and drive a front wheel drive van. Yep, its iffy at times. Yes, it slides but ya just learn how to drive and its all good. Changing the tires twice a year at $50-75 each time plus replacing tires every 2-3 years was killing me. So for 4 years now I've been studdless and just drive with purpose and care. Drives my moon nuts that I dont have studs. Oh well, I can do it. If the roads are really bad, I borrow hubs 4wheel.

I feel the "off" this past week and today. Feels off and I cant put my finger on it. I wonder if its like Trudy mentioned and election related. Maybe. I am also dreading my 2 hour PT test Tuesday. I forget what they call it but its like a quality of life test. Can I do what is "normal" for someone my age or is my lipedema effecting my life and stopping me from doing things.

Need coffee. Have a great day!

Monday again. I'm retired so it shouldn't matter but it does.

I have one stupid fruit fly in my kitchen that won't get caught in my apple cider vinegar trap, so I figured I'd just have to wait for it to die. Then I looked up how long they live. Who'd have thought that tiny thing can last for 50 days? Argh.

Went to the doctor today and they x-rayed my wrist and said bone is healed! I can bike again!! Just in time, I need it to get through this week - it's either that or wine, and I'm sure the bike will feel better.

I'm trying to make sure I have my phone with me at all times just in case I do something stupid and fall again!
I make a habit of picking up the phone, even if it's just to walk from the bedroom to the kitchen. Just in case. I have to stop buying pants without pockets.

Slippery leaves are the worst! I get so nervous hiking in the fall, especially because lots of hills around here.

I bet most of the country is feeling that way until all of this election stuff is over

Can you believe it is still raining... lightly all day??? Managed to get my shower but didn't get around to changing sheets. Oh, well... guess it can wait for another day... or two..:floorlaugh: I took my last antibiotic yesterday but still used my inhaler 3 times. Only had a small coughing spell last evening but a cough drop settled it right down. So far today only had another small coughing spell and cough drop worked for it. I sat down to read after lunch and fell asleep for just over an hour. Not going to rush on doing very much this week just to be on the safe side. If all goes well, I will get my pneumonia shot next week.

If all goes well, I will get my pneumonia shot next week.
Still raining here too, Kay. It rained all night and all day yesterday and it's coming down again. At least we didn't get any of the storms that were predicted.

Well, once again, I come to the end of the day and haven't accomplished much. Chris @faerywings I know the feeling. Seems like I've been busy all day but can't account for much that I've done. We have had tornado watches all late afternoon, but thankfully, they missed us. It sure got dark as night though and one of the lightning bolts took something out - it was the loudest blast. My TV isn't working now - Adrienne said theirs wasn't either. My TV in the bedroom hopefully is - I'd like to see what's going on. If I go in there, Sam will shimmy in and make my bed his own for the night. Not tonight, Sweetheart. It rained so hard here today that both animals were nervous, so I went out to the LR and sat on the couch with them. Sam was in my lap the whole time. My TV was working then. UGH. I'm so glad he's feeling better and he's been outside for his normal amount of time in between rains. He's inside for the night now.

My arm is finally feeling normal again - I might have already posted this. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh:

Chris @faerywings I'm so sorry that your BFF is going through this. She's probably really relying on you right now and thankfully, you found the info you needed to help her.
