What the heck happened to this month? One second I was getting ready for a vacation, now I have Christmas staring me down?

I am up to my eyeballs in F-W stuff, and to keep my spirits up, I actually put Christmas music on Pandora. mellow instrumentals, in hopes of keeping stress levels down too.

5 am this morning came way to fast as well. I was having some really weird dreams and I was deep in the middle of one when my alarm went off. And dang, its cold! Weatherbug says it is 29*!

Today I am back in the kitchen, just a couple of things to work on today. (I always say that and next thing you know, I am up to my eyeballs again!)

Morning Chris- yes The month has been both short and long. I am ready- I think to get back to a "normal" week at work- although there really is no such thing a normal-
Me me Monday- healthy me- walk 2 mi on treadmill and freeze the goodies instead of eating them. crafty me- make an art journal cover for jessica spragues free class- paper scrap the Gonio castle pages for matt's scrapbook- Holiday me- put up my skinny kitchen tree- that should be enough for working me!!

Brrr, it's chilly out there this morning. I actually had to scrape off the car windows. We really need to get our butts in gear and clean out the garage so one of us can actually park in there. Not likely - we don't often do it until right before there is a big snow. Usually, it's more like a storage space.

Linda - I know totally how you feel about being unprepared for the week. This long weekend just went too quick.

Laurie - Your me me Monday sounds divine. Enjoy!

Chris - lights look good! I love Pandora too - listen to it all day. I also like last.FM.

Just realized I haven't posted much the past few days.

It sounds like you all had a fantabulous Thanksgiving! Since we do not live near family, we had an old Army buddy and his girlfriend and her 2 kids over. It was ok. She isn't one for talking, and I am quiet until I get to know someone, but I am proud of myself. I came up with lots of things to "try" to start conversations, though she responded with one line answers and then nothing. At least I really tried! The kids had a blast! Her kids are 4 and 11. So of course my daughter had tons of fun playing with her 4 yr old son. She's 9 and will make the best babysitter in a couple years! The 2 men (boys) played playstaion "black Ops" all night. What irked me though is that his gf went onto my computer and checked FB. Then goes out of the room and calls her sister and has a long conversation about what she should get her older son for Christmas. Who does that? I just thought it rude. I would be unbelievably embarassed to do anything like that if I was invited to someone's house. I usually shut my phone off even. But maybe that's just me. Then dh defended her saying she was just uncomfortable here cause she doesn't know us. Ok I understand that fully, I've been there, but still you don't go mess around on FB while your host sits there twidling her thumbs because of it. Ok off my soap box

So funny thing happened. My mother NEVER shops black friday. So she went to the store at midnight so she could get this deal on a digital camera for my oldest son. We then get a call yesterday that the FIL bought one for him as well! Oops! mom will have to find something else to get him cause FIL already shipped his. That's ok. One less expensive item for me to buy now!

The older these kids get, the more expensive the gifts get. But I'm seeing that toys in general seem to be going up. My 8 yr old wants these hex bugs which are miniature robots if you will. They're $8 for these tiny little things. And I know he'll get bored with them after a day! So I am being very picky with what I buy for them this year. We tried to have them pick out the toys they no longer play with and the boys bring me 3 broken toys and 2 other little toys. My daughter brings me half her barbies which I know she still plays with. Goofy girl. We try to weed out toys each year to make room for new ones. They have so darn many and hardly ever play with them. It's wii, playstation, or dsi (which are all limited), or play outside with friends.

Well I am off to go study for my quiz today. Tonight I finally find out how I did on my exam. I'm very nervous.
 
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was not ready for my loooooooooong weekend to be over!!! I did not babysit for 5 days!!! But the little buggers were back this morning...and I got up late!!! ACCKK!!! 6:45....threw me way off this morning....just got the kiddos down for their naps....I usually wait until 10 or a little after, but Savannah just could not wait any longer...poor baby...she was laying in the floor crying. She was happy to get in the bed!!

Okay...so we are Wii junkies!!! We went out to eat Saturday night and went by the Game Stop..picked up three new games...we have found a favorite.....EEEKKK........GI JOE!!! HAHAHA!!! I told Mike that we have a problem...we both like blowing things up!!! We bought the extra controllers so we could play together. GOOD THING WE PLAY ON THE SAME TEAM...we would be blowing each other up!!! :hurt:

I cleaned house all day yesterday...so I want to get the Christmas stuff down this week and have it all decorated by the weekend. Then I can do my Christmas Cards...YAY!!! I still have not made one yet...but I will have that done by the end of the week!! Then I will get to spend the rest of the time making Christmas goodies!! YUM!!!!

Okay....better run and get some wash going while my little ones are napping!! I don't like going up and down the steps when they are up.

Katrina...Ooh funny about your Mom and FIL getting the same gift!!! But yes YAY for you not having to buy it!!! My DD cleaned out her kids toys this weekend, preparing for Christmas...I always did that too...

Hi Ooooooooos!!

Not much new with me lately. Just working & working & working.

I have a new baby cousin in Alaska as of Saturday!!! She was born healthy & just under 7lbs & her name is Clara! Unless some last minute planning happens, I don't think I'll get to see her for a bit. My grandma & I talked before that we may try to go up at the end of Feb, so she'd be 3months, & my cousin Jackson would be turning 2, (I haven't seen him since he was 5months, lol!) So I'm hoping that'll work out! My grandma doesn't want to go in Winter, lol!

Plus we are waiting on more news for my another cousin's baby. They are adopting & she's due in January.

Lots of babies in the family this year! I love it!!

Trying to get in the Christmas mood this year, so I'm taking the 25 Days of Templates Dec class starting Wednesday & I pulled out & scanned a TON of old Christmas photos from my life & earlier.

Anyway, that's my bit of randomness for today! Off to edit more photos then maybe I can play!
 
Morning my favorite "O"'s Just another quick :plane: for me again...when will I ever get the time I want on here?? MIL coming over this morning, she wants help to order a personal calendar to give to her brother. FIL knows how to do it, but won't (sometimes he is such an ass%$&*#$!!!) He thinks women were put on earth to serve him. Opps did I say that outloud??? I love them dearly but sometimes he just gets under my skin. Annnnywaaay... Off to work after that and not home until after 6:30 so hubby is in charge of supper. Hope you all have a great day and I sure hope to be able to leave some personals one of these days!! Love you all!

Jeff was sleeping on my phone, LOL!

Ive had an ok cough since thanksgiving, and last night my in laws were trying to convince me to go to the hospital. Ugh. They freak out anytime someone has non stop coughing because Jeff got pneumonia when he was in college. Sorry but I'm not a bull headed guy and when my body says that it's more than just a cough, I'll take care of it.

So, to appease them AND Jeff, I got cough syrup that's safe for my heart and Ive been taking it. Even the daytime one has been knocking me out within ten minutes of taking it!

I'm house sitting starting today, so I need to get up and get ready to head over there. Plus waking up Jeff and making him go grocery shopping with me so that I have more than oatmeal to eat.

Happy Happy Monday, everyone!!

So I've already taken Mr Gorgeous to the airport, done a little *me* shopping + one gift for a dear friend, and I decided what I'm getting all of you for Christmas!! Now I have to engage into the craft studio. I have a custom camera strap cover to make and then Krista's Christmas blankies! I'm super excited about them. I HAVE to send them on the 1st, so I know they will be at her house by Christmas!! Then I am going to make some coffee cup cozies...they are so fun to make!

So I'm off to create after I have a little more *me* time...I've decided to get in a right frame of mind so I'm able to focus a little better this holiday (and after) season.
